Worse hotel Iv ever stayed in . Broken ac ,dirty bathrooms ,outdated rooms ,bloody sheets ,3 room moves, a very unprofessional management team spend your money else where this place is a joke. I was very reasonable and respectful never caused an issue the owner is very disgusting hangs up the phone on customers and corporate doesn’t give a solution just very stand offish even lied and said I was still at the hotel when I checked out 8 hours after I arrived . do better .

It's a budget hotel - you get what you pay for. Staff was nice, location was convenient, and it was affordable. It's an older building, so upkeep and renovations will help. The furniture could use updating. Compared to a lot of other reviews, it wasn't nearly as bad as everyone was saying. Would I stay there again? - yes! Is it a Comfort or Holiday Inn?- no....but it was more affordable and not nearly as bad as a lot of reviews. Out of date furniture and older building needing maintenance and upkeep.

This property was awful. There was blood on bedding when we got there and this property person makes you put a deposit in CASH. Don't stay here The guy is crooked and is looking to steal you money. As well he is super rude once you call him out. Also there are people screaming all night. Had to leave for the airport at 3 am and they were still going.

The hotel room was not very clean. The couch in the room had stains on it and I didn’t sit on the couch. Bathroom was dirty and the paint on the walls was horrible.

One gets what one pays for. Property certainly shows its age. Staff members were nice. Coffee available in lobby 24 hrs but is cooking the entire time and taste shows it. No facial tissues even though bathroom vanity had space for a box. Inside security door lock broken. Security cameras were plentiful and added a sense of safety. No smoking on premises was a plus.

Location to my family in Yorktown VA My room looked as if was in the process of a plumbing leak repair. The ceiling has sheetrock peeling off and some spots had spackling on it. Bathtub water was working but couldn't get the handle to stay up to engage the shower .

It was very affordable The hotel smells like cigarettes. The rooms and hallway were very dirty. The bedsheets had dirt on them. The beds were squeaky and moving. The elevator did not work.

This was my second time staying at this location and I'm definitely planning on staying again in the future!! Room was clean, staff is Awesome, especially The gentlemen at the front desk, Ryan. I am happy with my choice and would definitely recommend The Red Roof inn to anyone who asks.

I was double charged and booking.com hasn’t refunded me. This “hotel” was soiled with filth. Trash and dirt everywhere. The hallways are entirely neglected and as soon as you walk through the doors you are hit in the face with a barnyard/animal smell. The bed creaked every time I turned over. There was an annoyingly loud humming and beeping sound all through the night. When I showered the water turned cold within a couple of minutes. When I decided I had enough, I tried to leave and went to take the elevator down to get out of that place and it didn’t even work! It got worse and worse the longer every second I stayed. To top it off the employees were immensely unhelpful and have absolutely zero idea of what they are doing. When I came to the guy with my complaints and trying to explain the situation that they double charged me he literally just laughed and said he couldn’t help me, I was appalled.

There was blood on the blanket, urine all over toilet, hair and dirt in tub, room smelled of urine, floors were disgusting. I had to clean everything and even brought hotel manger in to show him, blamed me.

The fact that after I left out the first day due to the hotel being dirty, they kept me in their books and refused to give me my refund for the rest of the week (knowing I wasn’t staying there anymore and why) Them dodging my efforts to get in contact with them throughout the entire week, and lying about offering me a new room. Further lying about me staying in this supposed new room. I left the first day and never went back, they purposely kept me in the books and lied just to keep my 379 dollars. This establishment is horrible 10/10 do not ever recommended. When I arrived to my room there were pubes around the sink on the mirror, in the shower as well as gunk on the shower walls. There were also stains on the bed and when I tried to get in contact with the manager he told me he would “check it out that coming Monday” when I called the hotel back and was finally able to get in contact with the manager through booking he told me to read his message on booking and wouldn’t just tell me what he replied to me with on the phone. I checked booking and he lied saying they offered me a new room and I declined, he also said he checked the room out and there was nothing wrong. Do not stay here, they don’t care about their customers only the money and will do everything in their power to not reimburse you. He started telling me to contact booking about my refund and booking was telling me to contact the hotel. Long story short I received no help, never got my money back, and basically paid for a filthy room I didn’t use or go back to for a week.

Super friendly staff. Convenient location and pet friendly! MOLD!! In the a/c units, in the walls, the curtains, the lamp shades! My mouth, lungs and skin burned every minute I was there. When I mentioned this to the front desk, they were super sweet and patient, provided me with a different room and even allowed me to see the room before making the exchange in case the problem was there too. Originally the problem wasn’t but as soon as the a/c unit came on, the problem wasn’t in this unit as well.

The owner of the property was very unprofessional. We had two dogs and one is a service dog. Their policy states a certain amount but they wanted to charge more and also for the service dog. The manager stated it was his hotel and he could do what he wanted. Never again.

Location It was disgusting. I had three rooms. One room smelled of straight bleach for our entire stay, very breath taking. I think they used it on the floor because I got up to use the bathroom in the night, my feet literally burned when I got back in bed. One of the rooms tub was so gross we had to take showers in another room. Everything had chipping paint (think landlord special). Sheets and blankets in EVERY room were stained. Not just little stains, like we went and purchased our own bedding stains.

We had to leave immediately after seeing how gross the room was. Just left and turned our keys back in. Stains on the couch and walls, hair still left on the nightstand, and the sinks/tubs were falling apart.

I sent pictures of bed liner with blood stains on corner and a cup top under the mattress..I made a pillow bed on the floor to sleep on because the floor was the cleanest in the room

We stayed in room 308 - 3rd floor and it was HORRIBLE. The AC did not work, called down to front desk and someone came quick and offered an industrial fan for the inconvenience- apparently they were all booked so no other room option was available. The noise the fan made was worse than not having AC. The elevators work to go up but not down. There’s a typed up piece of paper stuck on the elevator button stating to call front desk and they send the elevator up for you to go down on. Very inconvenient when traveling with children, luggage’s, elderly or handicapp. Free breakfast is offered but not recommended. Cereal and make your own waffles are your only options and both tasted as if they’ve been on that shelf for years. Honestly it’s better to sleep in your car than at this hotel. STAY AWAY if you can.

I stayed on the third floor in order to get downstairs we had to call for them to send up the elevator up. I thought that was very inconvenient. The sink was broken very unsafe, I thought it would fall anytime. The room smelt like cigarette smoke. When I told them he tried to tell me it didn’t, but the smell went away.

This hotel could use some updates. They are stuck in 2010 with stains in the bathtub and my socks were dirty from the floor not being cleaned properly. Some of the electrical outlets didn’t work and were missing the electrical outlet cover.

Desk clerk was helpful and kind. Floor and duvet cover were nice. Blanket and sheets stained. Towels tiny and old. Fixtures on tub and in ceiling loose or missing. Carpet in hall gross and smell like smoke.

I did NOT use this booking. I stopped in and they scanned my ID and confirmed a pet situation that was not okay to me, so i cancelled the reservation immediately... in person with the onsite desk rep... room was NEVER ISED... never even got a key for the unused room... was advised a full cancellation and refund would be pursued... more phone calls i guess.

Me and my fiance stayed in one of the rooms with a jet tub. The first thing we noticed was the smell. The room smelled strongly of amonia, and seemed poorly cleaned. You could tell most of the budget went towards the jet tub because some parts of the room were not fully finished or of poor quality (gaps in the flooring, broken curtain, sad flat pillows etc). We also noticed there was some scum gathered around and inside of the jets, so we did not feel comfortable using that feature. I will also note that the floor is finished with some sort of wax, which likely protects the flooring and prevents mold, but feels absolutely discusting and sticky wigh bare feet, so be mindful. The walls are also very thin. I could hear other guests loud and clearly through the walls. The tub was a cool idea but poorly executed. I would strongly encourage you to stay somewhere else, especially at this pricepoint.

As we first check-in the staff was unpleasant. We asked about near by restaurants in the area and he told us to just drive up the street. We were looking for recommendations. Then we went to our room, we started to unpack and found dirt on floors, stains on curtains and on the bedding. Then we went to sit on the bed and heard the worse squeaking noise. All you had to do was laugh or move slightly and you would hear the noise. We wanted some coffee, so we got some from the front desk. We started drinking it and it had a burnt taste, my boyfriend reported it to the staff and he stated it was fine because he drinks it all the time. Not very professional in my option. Then we reported the bed and was told someone would like at it. We went out for the day, came back at 5pm and the bed made more noise than before. We reported it again and was told it was looked at. The only staff that was professional was the maid. She was helpful and polite. I would not recommend this hotel to family or friends.

Pretty quiet needs minor repairs but nothing major. I understand its hard to find good help. A maintenance man is needed but all in all its a nice place.

We left to go to dinner and thankfully I tried pushing the door open without the key because it felt weird and sure enough- it pushed right open. Super unsafe. I asked for a new room and thankfully they put us somewhere else (about the only decent thing about this stay) this room was definitely cleaner and smelled better but the ceiling looked covered in water damage and the walls were paper thin, we could hear people in other rooms and outside literally all night. When we left the room early that morning the hallway smelled like pot (likely from the people we could hear all night) I highly reccomend not staying here. I didn't like it , first night stay , thought we would have at least clean towels when we came back that night but didn't plus the shower drips and splashes water on floor , burn holes in our blankets for being a non smoking room and facility I would think they would make sure you had up to date linens by now since it's been smoke FREE for A FEW YEARS NOW .. plus the bathroom door has MOLD on it from where the shower has been dripping on it.. we left a day early and I told them why , they said there wasn't anything they could do not even refund me for ONE NIGHT ,my Husband has COPD and just being there he was having more difficult breathing.. I just ask for one night off my bill or even discounted off the price.but she said NO you can't do it ..We won't be Back !

They were very short staffed. I was sent to a room that had not been cleaned. Given another room without an apology or acknowledgment of issue. Floors were sticky so I wet a wash cloth and cleaned them, rag was black by the time I finished. Fan in bathroom did not work which caused the room to get humid. Towels and trash were the only thing that was done for daily housekeeping.

Location convenient, but not very walkable. Price was right. Mattress was well worn, so much that I rolled to center every time. Elevator didn’t work properly the entirety of my stay…3 weeks! New air conditioners throughout, so we stayed cool. Some low dollar renovations have been done over the years…painting over outlets, switches, etc. All the furniture seems to be at end of life, showing extreme wear. But price was right and that’s what I was shopping for during this stay!

Dirty, stained sheets and bedding. Bath tub was disgusting! Whoever came and cleaned while I was out moved the towel I had under my baby’s bottles while they were drying and lost the inside piece to the bottle! (Why would you touch my bottles!!) NO AMENITIES! No breakfast, no pool!

Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. TV was good. Air conditioner was good. Area is good with plenty of stores close by. Bathroom exhaust fan sounded like a small jet engine. Absolutely no frills. Good place for a quick business trip like I was on.

Room and bathroom was not cleaned, elevator worked going up but you could not use it going down. Had to take stairs. Looks like they started to remodel but the 1 floor smelled like animal urine.

The first room they gave me wreaked of cat urine. The second room also had an odor…I went to Walmart and bought freeze. The floor was sticky. The carpeting in the hallway was sopping wet (I pray it was water from the ice machine and not cat pee) the tub was sketchy in the dirt dept… I hope it was just stained

Some of the furniture and counter space were scuffed and worn down and the shower was leaking. As well as discoloration around the drain. Toilet was difficult to flush. The sheets and bedding despite being clean had clear wear and tear. Beds were a medium firmness that I found comfortable. Everything was conveniently placed in the room so it was accessible. Check out was a bit easier than usual because I just had to drop off the keys and go. Parking was great, and when I had to do a late check in they were very accommodating and the price was excellent for someone working on a modest budget

Room was very clean and nice. The reception room smelt like weed. Elevator broke had to take the stairs. Not a problem except stairwell not well kept up. Not a bad place. People nice.

It was fine for what we needed, which was just a room, I just didn't like how the black out curtains didn't cover the whole window. I stayed in the room with the big hot tub which was nice but I felt like it was so easy for someone to look in. I mean the bath was literally in the middle of the room, it made me feel uncomfortable with nothing to cover the window that well.

The comforters were dirty and had to be changed. I paid for a King room and got 2 queens. I had to be moved from my original room bc it did not have a refridgerator and it wreaked of cigarette smoke. Addressed this with the manage and he showed not a care at all and was like sorry.

The room stinks. AC doesn't work right. Vent in bathroom doesn't work. Staff is rude. All around the worst we have stayed in

Our original room had a giant puddle of water in it, think it was from the AC. Was given another room that somebody was already in, surprised we didn’t get shot checking it. Third room wasn’t ready, finally got a room that was moldy and very smelly. I think a contraction company had rented several rooms and they was a bunch of them hanging out in the parking lot at night drinking etc….never again.

Didnt expect much. Still disappointed. Stained sheets air conditioner loud and power button broke so i couldn't turn off.

We arrived around10pm and went to counter to check in. Had to use phone to call for someone to come to the front desk by pushing zero and waiting. I gave clek our name and that we had a reservation for 1 room two queen beds and he said did not have available. I asked him what was to point of a reservation if they do not reserve the room. He said he would make it work and did give us a room with 2 queen beds. There was only 1 set of small towels for 2 people and when we went down in the morning for breakfast they only had coffee. I asked the front desk about it and they said hotel had just been purchased and the breakfast area was going to be remodeled next week so everything had been taken out. Overall was ok for a 1 night stay when traveling but would not stay longer. Maybe new owners will upgrade it.

Although conveniently located, it was all very outdated and didn't feel clean. Was told they accidentally booked me in handicapped room (which they didn't have nor did I need). They rebooked me into a deluxe room with a jacuzzi (no extra.charge). They were extremely accommodating and very attrntive when we needed anything.

The staff was very nice, but the overall cleanliness of the room (especially the bathroom) was abhorrent. The shower was so disgusting that we couldn't use it, the bathroom sink and counter were literally falling apart, and the room curtains had holes in them that made them, well, not really curtains. Additionally, the general room smell was so bad that we had to do laundry when we got home because it had permeated everything we brought in with us for our stay, which lasted less than 24 hours.

Clean, spacious, affordable room in a convenient location. Staff customer friendly. Indoor access to room was a plus.
