Hilton Garden Inn Woodbridge

We frequent this Hilton. It is a great hotel for dogs due to plenty of sidewalks and grassy areas to walk. Clean, staff is friendly and beds are comfortable.

The pool was not as pictured. It was really small so we didn’t even get in. Everything was close to this hotel from shopping to fishing to food to the Marine national museum. We overall enjoyed the stay.

The food at the restaurant was terrible. I ordered the salmon & asked the waitress if was spicy & she responded no, not in any way spicy & said it was good. I ordered the salmon & when it came it was covered in black spice. I called the waitress over & asked if it was blackened & she said no, just spices the kitchen pups on it. It was extremely spicy & basically not edible. I have some specific diet restrictions due to a health condition but feel like I did my diligence about the dish when I inquired about the spice level. The waitress took it back & a very young chef came in a minute to explain he uses his own “mixture of different spices” on the salmon & then began to argue with me about the sickness of the seasonings. When I asked him what they were, he did not know all of the spices he used but said cumin, paprika, red pepper & “some other things”. He apologized & said he would cook another piece of salmon. I specifically asked that he put no spice on it—just salt/pepper & grill it. The second salmon came & it STILL had some of the same spice on it. I gave up & told them to take it away. My traveling companion had a similar experience with the chicken on her salad, but was not quite as bad. Overall, it was a horrible experience. The chef needs to stick with preparing the dishes as they are described on the menu!!! I paid for the meal which was a rip-off!

I booked an ADA suite for my parents, who are both in wheelchairs, and it was absolutely perfect for them! This suite was big and spacious and thoughtfully constructed. The amenities were accommodating, and the staff was very professional. Highly recommend this hotel!

This is a very nice hotel. It was easy to access from I95. The grounds, lobby, and room were very clean. The room was spacious. The beds were very comfortable. There are plenty of stores and restaurants nearby.

Pool or jacuzzi is not as pictured. Definitely doesn’t look all fancy. So we decided not to get in and that was the second thing that made this place a plus. The first thing was location to venue I had to attend.

The property was clean and decent location. Check in was easy, pleasant and efficient. Service at restaurant was substandard. The bartender/server was inattentive with an attitude of indifference. Had to make multiple attempts to get his attention to order food and beverages. There were only 2 other customers in the bar and 2 in my group.

On checking in the front desk gentlemen gave us our room key, not knowing there. Was someone still cleaning it when we got there. He felt so bad that he offered us some water and free breakfast for the following morning. He also called up to check and make sure the new room was cleaned and ready before he sent us up. He was very polite and understanding. Me and my son were harassed coming back in from playing basketball on 8-29-2025 one of your staff went out here way several times to herass myself and my son. It got so bad that we never got to go to the pool because she followed us everywhere until she popped in the fitness room and I told her I felt like she was harassing us. Them she got an attitude. My son was so upset and im sure if you look at your cameras you will see exactly what im talking about followed us out to our car and more. Very unacceptable

Upon arrival, the pull out couch’s sheets were not changed out and the guests prior to us appeared to have had a paint party on the pull out couch. The phone did not work in the room so we had to walk downstairs to inform the front desk of the issues. He offered to change out our room but we had already unpacked and didn’t want to repack to just once again unpack. So we took clean sheets and did what was supposed to have been done in the first place. Photos were taken of the issue and emailed to the manager as requested by the front desk but no response was ever provided. The phone was never fixed and we went back three separate times to inform the front desk and he said someone would be in but never showed. The gym was closed for “renovations” and the hot tub was open but not operational and was at best a Luke warm tub with no water jets able to be used. The pool was so chlorinated you couldn’t see 5 inches in front of your face to the point even the kids didn’t want to swim anymore. We were supposed to stay a total of 4 nights but ended up cutting our stay short due to all the issues building up and left for a different hotel to finish our vacation. The beds were the best part(aside from the couch bed) the beds were comfortable which is the main reason for the third star rating. My hope is once they finish their renovations their customer service improves.

The only qualm i have is the the beds are uncomfortable. We stay at Drury Hotels and their beds are comfortable. Maybe do a little recon and see what mattresses they use.

The hotel and staff are excellent. The location is pretty good if you have to be in this area of Virginia. The hotel's pool and whirlpool have been neglected and are unusable. The area around the hotel is a post-covid ghost town, there are few of any animinties in the immediate area, except for one or two other hotels.

Whenever I travel, I typically seek out a hotel within the Hilton family and, although my stay was not in my preferred city, this HGI location was remote; but, pleasant. The lobby was appealing; but, the snack bar was nearly empty from what I could see at the front desk. The clerk never announced our room number; so, I had to check the key folder. There was something on the floor in the walkway to/from the elevators that was never removed or cleaned during our 3-night stay. The hallway of my floor stayed cold and noisy although the temperature outside was in the upper 30s. I had an extremely hard time using my room key to open the door. When we first entered, the A/C was on, set at 70 and loud. I managed to switch it to heat; but, it took a full day to cool down. However, it was never warm in the room and there was only one blanket to use. I thought about bringing it up; but, I thought things would improve - which they did not. It was so noisy. Since we had food to store in the fridge, I had to adjust the thermostat which created a loud piercing sound. It also never reached optimum temp. The pillows were really soft; but, I needed them to be firmer to prop up. And even though we self parked, we were at risk of being towed if we didn’t put a green piece of paper on our car’s dashboard. I disagree with that - a new first.

The only disappoint was when we checked in I had asked if the breakfast was complimentary and was told it was by the clerk that it was. . But after breakfast in the morning we were presented with a bill. What a surprise. So after I went back and asked the clerk why she said it was free and she said that she never said that. But she did add a small discount so we left happy anyway. But if you stay the breakfast is about 15 dollars and worth it. Im glad we stopped and stayed and would stay again.

Very beautiful and very clean, but they need to do better with the bed, i was not able to sleep all night, very uncomfortable bed, i can feel the wires from it on my hip bones, on my back bone, forget it, did not have a good comfortable sleep at all...everything was excellent except the bed part, need to get an upgraded bed as well...other than that was excellent...100% clean...which is the most...Thank you.

The customer service and early check in were great. Once we figured out the Wi-Fi setup, that was pretty smooth. Tried to hardwire into to VPN to my work, but none of the ports on the wall were live with an internet signal. Food was good. My biggest issue my last two stays for some reason had been the beds. I'm a big guy, and if I sit on a bed and I feel the box spring, that's a problem. Side sleeper on a bed that compresses practically flat is not comfortable or conducive to a good night's sleep. Please spend some money and upgrade your mattresses.

For the most part my stay was pleasant. I enjoyed quiet nights. The King size bed was very comfortable as well as the fluffy pillows. You can walk around the property for leisure and restaurants and stores are near by. The hotel appeared to be clean however my sink in the bathroom had not been cleaned. The towels that I received had hairs on it that did not belong to me. Last but not least , even though I booked online way ahead of time , I was not told of the $40 incidental fee that you are required to pay at check in. It was late and I was tired and I just wanted to lay down and no use of cash , I had to drive out to find a place to add funds. Unable to attach photos

Likes: Room was clean. Smelled nice. Dislikes: Black out curtains were for show, they aren't made to close to block out light. Saturday night (school reunion) was loud Improvements: Floor in bath would get wet due to leakage from shower. Caulking around base of shower should be addressed With the exception of the noise on Saturday, I was happy with my stay. There was no signs of bugs. Room was clean. It was what I expected when staying at a hotel. Bed was firm, which was great. My lower back does not like 'soft' mattresses. My style of sleep is to have a total dark room. Since I couldn't close the black out curtains, the lights outside were a little bright. I didn't need a night light, if I were to get up in the middle of the night. Room was cool on hot days. A/C was nice/comfortable. Water pressure was fine. Hot water. Every time I needed hot water, I had it. Shower or sink. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash provided in the shower, hand/body cream provided by sink. Bar of soap provided by sink. Rooms cleaned every other day, during your stay. So, I first looked at a cheaper hotel in the area. But after reading lots of reviews, I started seeing a common theme. I decided to spend a little more, and stay at the Hilton Garden. I'm glad I did.

Staff was so kind and friendly. The chef had come over to the desk to speak with the staff and while he was there he also was so kind. He offered us a specials menu and talked to us a few minutes. Then when we got to our room I had forgotten my son was originally not going to be with us. I had reserved a king sized bed only. Staff immediately found us a room with two queen beds. I mean my husband wasn’t even upstairs with the luggage yet and they already changed our room. Excellent experience. And the kids loved the pool. We will be back next time we visit our family.

Walking into the welding was clean and well lit. It looked very nice. However, when you walked down the back hall, you could see holes and stains in the walls, as well as on our floor on the third level. The doors for most of the hotel rooms were dented, scuffed up, and some even had holes and then like they were kicked or punched. The inside of our door had a hole in it like it had been jammed into the bathroom door when someone open the main door. The floors were stained in the walls had handprints on them. Lastly, the bathroom had mold and part of the bathroom in the bathtub look like it actually been set on fire. It was all melted inside the shower walls. we asked to change rooms however we were told that there was a large party going on that weekend and the hotel was fully booked. So we had to stay in that room. This hotel is newer, and I was surprised it was so beat up and in the condition that it was aesthetically. Also, the ice machines were not working and the front desk said they had never been hooked up. Hence why they look so new. And every floor smelled like weed. We could even smell weed in our room.

The property overall was nice. They offer breakfast but it isn’t free. Lots of shopping malls/plazas near by and nestled away from noise.

Service was terrible and they gave us the wrong room. Very inconvenient and expensive

The hotel is very clean, the food at the downstairs restaurant was very good, and the hotel staff had great customer service. The pillows were a lil flat for my liking which caused me to have a little crook in my neck, other than that the hotel was great! I recommend this hotel if staying in Williamsburg, VA.

We were looking for a place to stop during a very long drive and this was a perfect spot. It was quiet, clean, the staff was very kind (we arrived late at night and had a warm welcome), and the room was comfortable.

We absolutely love this hotel. The lobby is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and clean. It is located within walking distance of restaurants.

Started bad the were to hold first floor room for medical reasons. I call for this request. I was told no problem. When we arrived the told me they were aware of request. Somehow they could not honor the request. It did not get better from there. People begging for money in the area
