    The rear door from the parking lot was locked open providing no security. The pool was unfilled in mid-June, the cover was ripped and the leaves and debris filling it was a mosquito invested green swamp. The staff was great but the owner/management needs to make maintenance and security a priority. I wouldn't have stayed if I knew the pool and door were inoperable. The staff and ease of access to the highway are this locations redeeming qualities.

    We didn’t get to stay, the bathroom door opens up against the toilet, my wife is in a wheelchair and there was no way for her to shut the door while in a wheelchair. We asked for another room but none were available. The man at the desk apologized and said no charges would be made. I am currently waiting on a refund which I requested 6/4/26. Thanks

    The hotel was centrally located to the convention center where the graduation was being held. I did not like that I had to go through three irons before getting one that worked. I did not like the fact that the room I was in was not very well cleaned and I killed a roach in the bathroom. I did not feel comfortable placing any of my belongings on the floor or in the small closet area due to fear of something crawling and hiding in my personal items. The breakfast was okay. It could have been better. There was no cereal choices and the danish choices had little to offer. The breakfast attendee had a horrible attitude.

    The area was good I had a interaction when checking in I didn’t get his name but he was super nice and approachable I could tell he had good customer service at one point I mentioned not having a iPhone plug for the lamps I didn’t bring my box and he offered his. Next time I’m in NC I’ll be using this hotel again. Everything was fine

    there was a roach in my room...I havnt seen a roach in 30 years! there was a junkie person laying on the ground right outside of the exit near the pool passed out with dried blood in his or her pants and a joint of what looked like weed in their hand and they stunk really bad. I had to walk pass them with my family. It was an overall terrible experience! I booked for 2 nights and only stayed for 1 and left early the next morning. Spend your money somewhere else!

    The room was clean, lots of parking and breakfast was good. Eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, waffle machine and more. They had a small water leak from the ceiling in the lobby but had it roped off. No big deal. Staff was friendly.

    The breakfast options were better than expected. The tub and sink wouldn’t drain. Even after leaving the room for the day, came back at night, and couldn’t shower before bed or the next morning because the tub still hadn’t drained. Sink also wouldn’t drain when brushing teeth. When we went down for breakfast the last morning, almost the entire breakfast area was leaking. There were many severe leaks where people were trying to get there breakfast items. No rain. Just internal plumbing issues presumably.

    The location was very convenient. The price was good and the staff were very friendly. The rooms were clean, however, appeared to be outdated. The breakfast area in the middle of the lobby is experiencing a leaking ceiling. There are large yellow buckets to capture the leak. This is a very insightful condition, particularly in an area where people are consuming their breakfast.

    The bed and pillows were comfortable. The location was great. The staff were very friendly. Overall the hotel was clean. I like the mirror was low for me to use while seated. The room was very small and the bathroom even smaller. We booked a handicap room for my mobility issues. When we got there they said they didn't have a roll in shower available. I thought it would still be a shower stall and would be ok. No when we got in the room it was a very deep jetted tub which was even higher to get into and didn't included a shower chair. I decided I would take advantage of that with a lot of help from my husband however when I turned the jets on all kinds of dirt and hair came out of the jets where they weren't properly cleaned. So our work to get me over the tub ledge and into the tub was for nothing. There were no bars to assist with up and down on the toilet. This room should not be classified as handicap.

    It's great, plenty of parking, friendly staff, safe. Rooms were clean with microwave and fridge. Bathroom was a bit small and needed an update. Sink was draining slow. Found a couple of tiny roaches but that wasnt a big deal. Hotels have lots of people moving jn and out and things like that could happen. Breakfast was included. I will stay here again also about a mile away from shopping, food and everything else

    The place is in severe decline. My friend and I had 2 rooms for 7 days each and.. - we had tepid to cold showers everyday. - flood in breakfast area from ceiling leak. - filthy elevators - followed by man with broom and dustpan onto elevator asking for tips. The front desk could see him clearly. We felt very uncomfortable. - taped down carpet by elevator on 4th floor - we talked with front desk personnel and a manager with nothing but a “sorry”. This place is a horrible representation of a Best Western Plus hotel.

    The staff was excellent. The facility was also great. We loved the location. I don't know what was up with that bed. My side kept raising up when I sat on the side. I'm guessing they put two twin mattresses together and it was a very uncomfortable mattress.

    I checked in and enterered my room to the immediate smell of mold. I walked in the bathroom and there was visible black mold all above the bathtub. The front desk was very kind in understanding my need for a refund. Management seemed conserened. The lobby was stuffy and hot, turn the air on and there might not be mold.

    Very close to the hospital There were signs all over the hotel about it being a nonsmoking facility but yet the whole 4th floor smelled like straight marijuana. Then when the AC would kick on it would come through the vents. We had my 2 yr old nephew and not very happy about that.

    Parking was convenient and easy to access. Morning breakfast was typical for free breakfast venues. Really the only concern was the bathroom being very small and having insufficient hand holds to access and use shower. However replacement of rug tiles or a very good cleaning was needed for all flooring in rooms and hallways.

    Pam at the front desk was very welcoming and knowledgeable. She referred to the housekeeping staff as “my girls” which let me know this property and their staff operate as a TEAM and I love that. The man working night shift with the Locs (I did not catch his name) was very friendly as well. The only drawback was the bathroom , it was very small in the unit we had and the water was pooling (not draining fast ) in the bathtub . This property is in a great area, in proximity to the mall.

    Breakfast was great! I have allergies so the scrambled eggs were wonderful vs those omelets with peppers in it some hotels serve. I love that the coffee had options and I was able to get a mocha. Would have been really happy with breakfast had it been bacon instead of sausage but overall, selection of food was wonderful. Location to mall is awesome and hotel was clean and all staff I encountered were very friendly. Check in guy (forgot his name but he is black, morning guy was older white) both were very friendly but the evening guy was exceptional! The queen beds seemed more like a double. Very narrow and i didn't have to share a bed so that was good becausethe bed was perfectfor 1 person. The pillows are strangely small. The mattress wasn't very comfortable. We struggled to fall asleep so upgrading mattresses to a foam and turning it once a month would be a great thing for this hotel. The bathroom was clean but having the sink separate outside the bathroom ....wakes up the person NOT getting ready yet.

    First room we got smelled like smoke and the hallway smelled like mold (this was the 2nd floor) (was supposed to be non- smoking) and had mold around the bathtub appliances. No hot water due to an issue with the boiler. Parking was fine and didn’t get to have breakfast since there was an issue with the boiler. The second room we received was better (I’d say average- no smoke, no mold- livable for the last night- higher floor)

    The room I was assigned had cockroaches crawling out of the corner of the room, and more than two cockroaches in the bed. I spoke with other people and they reported the same problem. The room and bathroom were also very dirty and did not look cleaned before we arrived. Lastly, the shower water was cold and turned luke warm at best on the highest temperature setting.

    I was unable to get the experience of visiting this hotel. Unfortunately , my flight was cancelled, and in order to proceed with placing a claim ( my trip was insured) , I had to cancel everything because I was unable to get there, for my event, in a timely manner.     Firstly bring your own pillows. They do not offer standard size pillows, just 16 inch x 16 inch throw pillows on a king size bed. Second, they will absolutely just place towels on the floor back on the rails and pretend they're new. I put a washcloth on the floor for them to replace because it had a stain and looked dirty, and it was back hanging in the bathroom. Same stained spot. So yes, they wanted me to use a washcloth that had been on the floor. Thirdly, I found a live roach in the bathroom. Gross. And this was just the room itself. The breakfast was inedible, the elevator constantly reeked of weed and BO, and there was a new person at the desk every time I went by it and they were ALL watching TV on their phones and barely acknowledged me. I could have been anyone walking into that hotel. The only positive I can give the place is it was cheap.

The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a great location close to shopping and restaurants, which made getting around very easy. The staff was friendly and check-in was smooth. My room was nice and quiet, and the bed was comfortable so I was able to rest well. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and I would definitely stay here again if I’m back in the area.

    This place is an absolute dump! DO NOT STAY HERE! One of the elevators was broken so there was a long wait just to use the elevator. There was a terrible smell throughout the entire hotel. All the furniture inside the room was VERY old. The ottoman was so old that you really couldn’t even see the color of it. The dresser was old and there was a large crack on the bathroom wall. I couldn’t even close the blinds. The breakfast was just ok. I will never stay here again.

    Had to be moved to another floor due to the third floor room and hallway having roaches. People living in the hotel which is fine but don't have your babies running in the hallway like it's a playground.     The negatives: The room was very clean, but the hallways and elevators were not. One of the elevators was scary, making bumping noises and swaying. The outside drapes didn't close, so I only had sheers between me and the outside. I ordered room service and my order was wrong. When I called about paying nearly $8 for a 12 oz. cup of tea rather than the half-gallon on the menu; they said they were out of half-gallons and only offered me a gift card that I can only use at another hotel that uses OrderInn. The positives: The staff is very nice, the room was clean, the area is convenient and breakfast was phenominal. I would stay here again for those reasons.

    The room has worn furniture but was clean. The carpet on the hallways to the rooms were dumped with water (it was raining at that time) which created big creases. Looked like the rug wasn’t attached to the floor. I tripped once. Nothing serious but look reallr bad

    Small parking lot but not a deal breaker as there was a small convention. One of the elevators was down but was fixed few days later. My room had a jet tub which wouldn't plug Rm#527, so was not able to use function. Overall staff was friendly, room was clean and comfortable. I would book again.

    The carpeting in our bedroom was wet and gave off a smell like they had used a carpet cleaning machine but didn’t really remove all of the water so it mildewed. The carpeting in the hallways were also wet because when you stepped off the carpeting onto the tile by the elevator you could see your footprint. We saw a carpet cleaning machine like the ones you rent from the store and it pulled up the carpet in a way that made it bumpy. Apparently there was a leak in the cafe area but we didn’t eat breakfast there. The rooms were updated but the bathroom and shower were not. The rate was high given it was family weekend. I will not return to this location.

    The first room we got a terrible smell to cigarette, even thought the property is a free smoking one. The second room we were transferred into had problems with the AC Unit not cooling enough.... The thirds one was a charm.. Nice room , wonderful bathroom , Delightful bed set.... We slept like babies.

One thing l only had trouble with was turning on shower head when l couldn’t find the switch for it but after 30-45 minutes later l figured it out.

    The first room was horrible. Paint chipping every where, sink was broken. I went to turn it on and it lifted right off the counter. I called and made them charge my room. The second one was a little better in condition, but wreaked of smoke. I needed a place to sleep so I stuck it out. I will never use this hotel again. The staff was friendly which was a plus but for the money… then ruined need to be $50 a night. It wasn’t worth what I paid. The shower was also broken in the second room. My daughter was like mom can you help me cause this seems like a mission to take a shower. Will never go back!!

    This place needs some updating, deep cleaning, and pest control. My daughter and I woke up after our first night to a roach crawling on the wall above the beds. Judging from other reviews, this is a known issue for the property. I spoke to Rick at the front desk (who was very nice and apologetic) and he offered to move our room which I appreciate. I also spoke to the manager, Pam, who did not seem too concerned that they have a roach problem and was also not very friendly or offer any apology. The pool was also dirty with bugs and spiders. Parking close to the building is limited. Most spaces are up on a hill which is very inconvenient and a pain with luggage. Laundry room was dirty with dust and cob webs. I can’t speak for the breakfast because after having a roach in our room I was not eating the food prepared there.

    I rented 2 rooms for my family and asked for adjoining rooms, which we received. Upon arriving at the adjoining rooms, one room was just okay, but when we opened the connecting door, the door jamb was badly damaged as though someone had kicked it trying to break into the adjoining room and repairs had not been made. When inspecting the 2nd room, the bathtub had mold in it and so we had to change rooms to another room. I chose this hotel because it was cheaper than others in the area, but this was clearly a case of "you get what you paid for". If you want a hotel room, with no frills at all, then this is the place for you. Not even a soap dish in the bathroom to hold the bar of soap. The location is convenient to the Hanes Mall where they have dining options and convenient to the interstate. The hotel lobby was clean and well maintained, the free breakfast was okay, with the waffle maker out of order. I won't be staying here again and would only recommend this to folks that don't care much about where you and your family stay.

    Fairly nice place to stay overnight and leave the next day. Super close to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital and even closer to the Hanes Mall. The bed pillows were terribly worn out and very uncomfortable. The mattress was horrible and in my opinion needs replacing. I am about 3 hours away so, when my daughter gets procedures done at the hospital early morning we drive up and stay the night before. We will NOT be staying at this hotel again.

    This place has a roach problem. There was a dead roach in the toilet, and living ones in the bathroom. I brought the issue to the front desk. They advised me to email the GM. It’s been almost 24 hours and I have not received an email back.

    Not the cleanest place to be. Shower had dirt in it. I had to checkout early. I couldn't stay there. Music played loud but only in our room you could hear it and not anywhere else. You could see in our windows from outside because the curtains wouldn't close properly.

    I've stayed at this hotel twice and was impressed by the level of upkeep, customer service and overall amenities for the price point. The breakfast is great and kept well stocked throughout the morning. The front desk staff is kind and very helpful and both day and night shifts remembered me from my first stay. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. This may be my go-to hotel for my monthly business trips to Winston Salem!

    My only complaint is that there is mold (and a broke jet) in the jetted tub room. I didn't have a drain stopper either, and was told they don't have any extra either. When turning on the jets, a very bad aroma fills the bathroom, but does go away after roughly 10 minutes. Service was polite and as helpful as they could be.

    We had to change rooms because we saw roaches. The second room was away from the ice machine but rhe tub faucet dripped constantly no matter how tightly it was turned off. Overall the mattress was too soft and rhe hotel is definitely showing wear and tear and needs remodeling.

    This property did not appear to be the cleanest. The staff were excellent and very understanding. The carpet had stains and the tub was not in the best condition. My family used the water by standing outside of the tub nor was the water hot. I would like a refund.

    The hotel is in need of an overhaul. Several places in the ceiling were leaking and water puddling up on the carpet. Carpet on the rooms were ripped. We requested a room change after the first night because the facet in the shower would not shutoff. No hot water. Had to kill several bugs on the floor. This was a terrible experience. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

    There was very little parking in the lower area that was well lit. There was plenty of parking around back but the weeds were grown up and it did not look well maintained. We also had a problem checking in. They told us our reservation was canceled and that they did not have rooms for us when we arrived.

    the property didn't call me until 2:00 on the Oct.17,24 to tell me that they don't have HOT WATER and had HOT water for three days. They said that could not say when they would have hot water.They have been working on is for three days and still have no hot water.They said that I could go to another property and they would not charge me.But my bank told me that you tried to charge my credit card twice so they close my card.But I was told by Best western that I would not be charger.I have to wait for my new card for my bank

    The room had a dirty tub and a leaky faucet. I brought this to the attention of the person at the desk and she said that she would notify the manager and he would contact me. They would not switch the room and never came up to clean. They have not honored a refund.

    Terrible musty moldy smell in many rooms due to a long standing leak that has not been maintained or properly repaired. The room furniture looks like it was pulled out of the trash. The parking lot looks like an abandoned lot and is in disarray. Overall a very poorly maintained property. Best western should pull its brand terrible representation. This hotel is a never again.

    It was a comfortable, safe-feeling place to stay, with a good breakfast. I was on the 4th floor and it was noisy, late at night in the hallway. Do not disturb means housekeeping access. Only one cockroach greeted me in the bathroom one morning.

    This is an older property but it is near a mall that has seen better days. It has a free breakfast buffet. The entrees were the same every day. The last day we were there the faucet in the bathroom tub got stuck or something. We couldn't turn the water off. We alerted management and apparently we were not the only room.

    The first room we were given had the hot water running out of the bathtub faucet. We told front desk about this. He told us there was about 20 or so rooms that had a leak like this and that it could not be fixed until they were able to cut the water off. Next morning, we did not have any hot water. The bathroom also appeared to not be clean. However, the next day, we were given a better room. All of the rooms appeared to be really small.

    This place is average at best. Chipped paint, small bathrooms, closet, ripped lamp shade, lack of security, etc. They gave us a room with wet carpeting from a leak (audible squish sound from amount of water). New room had very small bathroom, trash on floor next to bed. Bathroom appeared to be clean. Towels are very thin and abrasive. (Think old school gym towels). No security for exit doors - All unlocked at all times. Good location to stores, restaurants and access to Wake Forest. Very little competition for hotels, so no incentive to make it better. Pool was drained, no hot tub. Will likely stay here again, as other option in area are terrible.

    The hotel is very nice the rooms are clean and employees are very nice. The parking lot was a bit sketchy. There seemed to be homeless people occupying the parking lot at night. The swimming pool entrance which enters the side of the hotel on the 2nd floor was never locked. Main hallways once you exited your rooms had a prominent odor of marijuana.
