We stayed for one night and did not have any complaints. Good location if you are staying in Wilmington. Close to everything.

Stayed for one night, loved the warm cookies welcome gift. The lobby was clean and welcoming. The staff was friendly, I had an issue with my key and was able to meet with maintenance right away. My room for the most part was as pictured. I checked for any remanence of bugs and was glad to not have found any. The room was clean. However, the bathroom had prior guests hair in the shower and all over the floor. The toilet seat also could’ve used some attention. I didn’t complain to the front desk about it. The morning of checkout I was getting dressed and I heard a knock at 9:40. I then heard a knock across the hall which got my attention because I thought something was wrong. When I peaked out the door, the housekeeper was standing at the door about to enter. I asked “what did she need” and she said “to clean the room”. I told her “checkout is at 11” she asked “how much time will I need” so I answered “until 11”. I don’t understand if checkout is at 11 why is someone coming to the door an hour and 20 mins early? Not only that, what if I was asleep and didn’t answer would she have come in while I wasn’t conscious. I think if that’s their norm they need a different policy.

Best hotel in Wilmington NC and just a couple minutes to get to Wrightsville Beach, I want to leave this review because I spent 3 nights here and I have zero regrets about it, the hotel is nice, clean and noise free! Everyone was nice and helpful, they even have a Starbucks inside the hotel which is awesome. I definitely recommend it and whenever I go to Wilmington I will for sure stay here again. Thank you for making my vacations safe and comfortable!

Cons: the tv didn't work and when we called the front desk to have it fixed they need someone would be to fix it and no one ever came. The shower was clogged up and made it hard to enjoy the shower. There were also a few stains on the furniture and floor.

My first stay since the renovation I was really pleased with what I saw. I was very impressed with the staff presentation of welcoming me. My room was very welcoming. To top it off I was able to order food up to 10:”0 The food was fabulous instead of having to order out. I would rate the service as a five star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The room was very nice and clean. The amenities were great, except for the fact that you had to pay for parking and nobody notified us of that prior to booking our reservation. Other than that our stay was great. The staff was very friendly.

The facility was in excellent condition with a very helpful staff. The rooms were excellent very modern and with all the needed amenities you would need.

My daughters and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We were only there for two nights but we were definitely impressed by the cleanliness of the room and the friendliness of the staff. We have just one minor complaint which may seem silly, but the room only had one roll of toilet paper at a time. When we ran out and called for more, they brought one roll. I had just never experienced rationed toilet paper before. It was just more of an annoyance to not have one as a back up and had to call for more. Anyways, end rant. Overall, I would recommend staying at this hotel to anyone looking!

Staff were accommodating, attentive and friendly. The overall hotel was in good condition. Starbucks onsite. Location - good proximity to beach, downtown. Comfortable. Gym has everything one would need for a good workout.

We checked in to find out the hotel overbooked king rooms. So we were told we had to take a queen. This wasn't ideal with a small toddler but we would make it work. We checked in late but had 40 minutes to enjoy the pool before it closed. So we put out suitcases in the room, changed and rushed down to the pool. 40 minutes later we get back to the room to discover ants crawling all over our stuff. I was bitten. I went down to inform the manager and she asked me if I wanted to change rooms, of course I did. Not the best start to a short weekend trip. Later we noticed the halls of floor 4 had ants in the common areas.

2/3 treadmills malfunctioning and front desk employees on personal cell phones repeatedly. Annoying to wait for personal call to finish to be helped.

No hot tub or free breakfast. The shower never gets hot -- just lukewarm. Wish it had an airport shuttle. Otherwise a great stay. Would come back again.

We stayed for one night as we toured UNCW. It was very disappointing that there was a fee to park. We found that pretty outrageous, especially for Wilmington. We didn’t find the lady who checked us in to be very warm. The air was set to 68 and it was still extremely hot while we slept. There was a greasy handprint on the refrigerator door. Overall was just not impressed. We will not be staying there again. Also, I never leave negative reviews, so I hate to be leaving this one, but was pretty disappointed and felt the need to share.

The room was clean except for the coffee maker in the room. It had clearly been used but not been cleaned. There was dust & coffee in the part where you add the water & just not useable. Need to clean these if they’re offered in the rooms.

The hotel was nice and had a very well designed entry and lobby. They do charge for parking which i can never understand if you are a guest why wouldn’t parking be free or included? It is on a busy strip in Wilmington so maybe they have an issue with non guests parking there but you should never charge your guest to park that’s tacky and will always leave a bad taste in my mouth. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating.

This hotel is in the busy Business District, but once you walk in the doors you'd never know it. Every area is new and spotlessly clean. Bar/Reataurant was perfect to grab a drink and quick bite to eat. Outdoor patio space was clean and relaxing. Starbucks for coffee in the morning was convenient. Room was beautiful, clean, and quiet. Parking fee was unexpected but very reasonable. Highly recommend with no hesitation.

The staff was nice but a bit shy but they were sweet and understanding. the room is decorated wonderfully and very comfortable beds. she mentioned there is breakfast but there was not a provided breakfast i had to pay. she also stated that the hotel did not have any bar soaps which is not good and she delivered another bottle of shower gel

Nice hotel but a surprise $10 parking fee. For an area surrounded by strip malls, it felt like a hidden cash grab.

When I got to my hotel, I did not expect to have to pay for parking. And they use a QR code, which I assume would be confusing for many travelers. When I went to leave in the morning, I had a ticket on my car because they have not updated my license plate correctly. I also had trouble with the Wi-Fi, it would not connect. And when I tried to turn on the television, it would not come on, and the bottom was falling out. They transferred me to a different room, which was nice, but it was difficult to lock the door in my new room, it was not stocked with towels, and the water would not get very hot.

Any place that forces you to pay for parking leaves a sour taste in my mouth and tends to make the overall experience feel worse. Place was clean. And ac worked great

I was greeted warmly, even though it had been a long drive. The front desk staff were generous and kind. And it just so happens I love cookies and they gave me a cookie which tied me over till I could get something to eat. It was a very pleasant experience. The bed was one of the best beds we have ever slept in very comfortable.

Hotel has been remodeled and is lovely. it is very conveniently located close to shopping and to Wrightsville Beach. it is just an Uber for easy drive to downtown Wilmington. The bed was very comfortable. Climate in the room was great. Bathroom was clean. Definitely will stay here again.

The front desk staff were incredibly kind, courteous, and displayed excellent bedside manners. They went above and beyond to accommodate every need for my family and me. Truly 10/10 hospitality and an amazing stay. We will definitely be visiting again soon—thank you so much

We ate dinner only, which was delicious. We left early morning for airport, before breakfast opened. Location to Wilmington is very convenient. Beds were comfortable.

My family really enjoyed our stay for the most part. The only issue we had was getting new towels. I had asked an employee at 1pm for towels and when I came back to my room after 10pm. I didn’t have clean towels, so I had to go back down and get clean towels. The hotel should also let guest know when house keeping will be stopping by the rooms. The oven was broken; therefore, we did not get fresh baked cookies upon our arrival. Breakfast consists of Starbucks. There is a restaurant I did not try so I can’t say how the food was. The beds are really comfortable and its really peaceful.

Room was overall clean. Light dust on the glass shelf with drinking glasses. I was surprised to learn Self parking includes a $10 fee now I know to look for “free parking” Breakfast was not available when my husband asked on Friday. Not certain why. We felt comfortable and would stay again when visiting our family.

A wonderful new Doubletree with excellent staff and comfortable bedding.

Staff was very friendly and the barista even went and made me a drink at Starbucks even after they closed. 5 stars (yes they have a Starbucks in lobby but it closes at 1pm just so you know)

Jude was very helpful. We couldn't figure out how to adjust the heat and he texted us and it worked out fine.

The hotel was lovely. The $10 parking fee was a surprise though. Didn't seem necessary with a large parking lot and not a high traffic area. Besides that, normal hotel.

Was disappointed no free breakfast bar. Quite disappointed that there was a charge for parking. This was not a location that required charging for nightly parking. Plenty of spaces available and not in heart of downtown. Parking charge might cause me to choose another property or chain in future.

It isn’t in a great part of town and had to pay for parking. It was good for my one night stay but wouldn’t stay multiple nights.

There was no indication that they charge you for parking. I was no happy that on top of the money soent on the room i had additional fees . If they noted in the description that parking was not free i would have picked a different establishment.

However you had to pay to park which is ridiculous. This is not NYC or any big city nor was it peak season. Food prices was really high at there restaurant. My biggest disappointment (not life altering.) was the pool was freezing. I booked specifically there for the use of indoor pool and it was too cold to go in. I could have saved ALOT of money booking somewhere with no pool. We are on a fixed income and we were “treating” ourselves to a nicer hotel for a change, and it was VERY nice just disappointing that the whole reason we booked there was not usable.

Our stay was great. The only qualms I had was the hot water didn’t work great and I am not sure if that’s because we were on the last room on the hall or what but it took ~20 minutes to get semi hot water for a shower and housekeeping did not automatically replenish our towels/wash cloths.. Everything else was wonderful.

The hotel itself is not bad. But as you turn into the parking lot you will find many signs saying you must pay to park. Next to some of these signs you will see a sign that says park at your own risk not responsible. So not sure what you are paying for. You will pay $12 a day to park. As I was surprised to see this because I did not read the fine print. I went back to read other reviews and I am not the only one who is surprised. I read the management’s response to some of these reviews. They require you to pay so the parking lot is not used by people who are not customers of their hotel. Easy solution waive the fee for people who already paid to rent a room. So I will probably not be back to this hotel.

i would love to talk with someone about this stay at double tree hotel that i booked through Expedia,I spent 200 a night because of the indoor pool when i get there they tell is close my kids were so disappointed

The hotel and bedrooms are very welcoming and decorated with taste. The bed is very comfortable as well as the beddings. The bathroom area is well designed with a tub and restroom that are apart from the bathroom sink which also offers a convenient small seating area to change as well as a space to hang your clothes. The personnel was very welcoming and seemed to genuinely care. We even received a warm cookie upon arrival. I stayed at Hilton hotels before but never at a Double tree. From now on, this will be my top choice for this price range. Highly recommend!

It's nice location and close to beach. But the pool is under construction. It's little bit sad for us, because we planned to go to pool at day time when it's too hot to go to beach.

Over all this is a nice hotel. I don't know if we just caught them on a bad day or if this is normal. When we first arrived for check in after already paying for the room we were told there were no rooms available because staff had quit. After about 10 minutes or so she finds a clean room to accommodate because she couldn't give me my money back. We get to the room and get ready to go down to the pool which was the main reason we picked this hotel and it was closed for renovation and there was no signage and no one told us that. We went down to the bar and that was an amazing experience the bartender was very nice and attentive. Later in the evening I went to the parking lot ( in which I had to pay for parking ) I was in my car and a drunk guy walked up to my window and then tried to threaten and fight my friend that was with me. I don't know if this is just normal for the area or what but overall I expected a better experience for the price I paid for the room.

The property is newly remodeled. The staff is very friendly. Since my last visit they have stopped offering free muffins and snacks for breakfast. Everything is paid for. They also have started charging $10 per day to park in thier parking lot with no security. They have signs that say park at your own risk. The hotel a few doors down does not charge for parking. This was certainly my last visit here.

Unfortunately the Cleaning staff only changed my pillow cases in front of me and my visiting friends Face constantly telling us and me that they don’t speak English , cleaning staff also wasn’t consistent With on last night 5/18/25 some one came late in evening after I got out of shower she put towels in room was anxious know. Hanging of entire bed at all this was disturbing. I gave one a tip she only came and changed pillow cases so sorry I gave her a tip lastly I didn’t leave a tip at all. Didn’t like how cleaning staff was often professional About changing linen like sheets they must have left Previous customers sheets on bed changed pillowcases only I cleaned hairs from my bed this was. Very unsettling for me ,

Recently remodeled, although parking in the back is half done. They still have equipment take parking spaces. The property is squeaky clean; staff is friendly and professional. Rooms are ample and comfortable. Close to Walmart, Costco, dining. Rare parking payment system. You need to download the QR code, submit credit card, etc. I'd prefer to pay it directly to the hotel. But overall, very nice hotel, would stay again when in town. :)

Overall had a nice stay. Only issue is the “Starbucks” onsite is not a real Starbucks so they didn’t have all their options or accept their rewards. But the staff were nice. While you had to pay for parking, it was reasonable.
