The property and my room were well maintained, clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The staff were exceptional, friendly, engaging, and helpful. Check-in was a very pleasant experience thanks to A‘ndrew’s friendly demeanor. Would definitely choose this location again.

The hotel is very dated and there is a lot of high speed traffic noise at night. The photos of the hotel posted on Hotels.com are not an accurate description of the property and/or rooms.

Hotel is outdated and not clean. Bed was terrible and should have been thrown out years ago. Dirty room with fixtures falling apart. Website makes it look nice but in reality it is a big let down.

Our only issue was no coffee (or breakfast) after 10:00 except what was complimentary in your room. One type, dark roast. Other than that, staff was there for every need we had.

By the time we were finally checked in, we had already been waiting over 20 minutes. Unfortunately, we were in town for a wedding and ended up being late because of this delay. This was especially frustrating given that the reservation was prepaid. I do appreciate the manager stepping in to resolve the issue, but the initial experience at check-in was disappointing. Because of this, I would not choose to book here again and would not recommend it.

Beds are extremely hard!!

Staff was responsive and efficient and for the most part, friendly. But the property just seems a bit old and run down. While updates have been done to provide, for example, IT related amenities like charging stations, the actual sockets where you would plug in a particular charger are worn and will not hold the charger in place. My phone stopped charging during the night and I found the charger leaning out of the socket in the morning. The hotel is clean. But you can see layers of paint and caulk. It is just old and needs renovating. The lobby waste paper baskets were always full to overflowing and the plastic bag liners were quite visible and seemed just barely covering the trash. The bistro provided very good breakfasts and service and the waiter could not have been for cheerful and accommodating.

Easy parking and great location, but this property is overdue for a refresh. Pillows are in sorry condition. Room shows signs of wear. Outdoor furniture dirty and in need of replacement.

We ended up extending our stay. We had a lovely room with sliding doors to the parking lot which made packing up much easier.

Room looked newly updated and very clean. Beds were super comfortable not to hard or soft. Staff was friendly and happy to give advice on the local area. Checkin went very smooth unlike other hotels ive stayed at, no issues with pulling up reservation made through 3rd party site. Will definitely stay here again when in the area.

The breakfast itself was AMAZING! The chef and server were so kind and offered us advice about the area and which beach is best! The bar tender in the evening was very kind and so awesome to talk to! I think my favorite thing about the place was the staff! Its definitely old and would use some interior work, but everything was clean and the bed was comfy!

The location of this hotel is very convenient to all parts of Wilmington. The Fitness Center had a good selection of weights and equipment. All of the staff I interacted with were very helpful, courteous, and had a friendly demeanor. The television was slightly older and its position in relation to the bed was at a strange angle even with the adjustable mount. There were no microwaves in the room.

I had the expereince of a woman who was I think going door to door outside and knocking on the patio doors. I had opened my door to step outside one evening and failed to lock it. She actually opened that door when I didn't answer and was preparing to walk into my room, and I don't know if she would have tried to steal items had I not been there.

Our room was in the back of the complex and very noisy at night due to traffic being so close to the building.

the room was quite which was good. our room was right next to a exit/entry door but there wasn't much noise from people going in and out. Staff was very nice and helpful. easy check in. In order to get the tv to work, you need to unplug it and plug it back in. After calling the front desk, they mentioned that this is common and happens often. The bed was short and pillows were not that comfy.

Staff was excellent. The hotel is old. The outlets don’t work, there was a roach in the bathroom when we walked in, the light cover above the beds was about to fall off the wall and it was dark. It really needs a complete overhaul. Again, the employees were very friendly.

When we got there we had to wait over an hour to get into our room. It was almost 1:00 AM before we finally got in our room. They did give us late check out, a soda and free breakfast. They had a staffing issue that caused the rooms to get behind on being cleaned. Other then that it was a great clean, friendly place.

The hotel is centrally located to a lot of dining and shopping options, and not far from the beaches. Our only complaint was when we initially checked in for our 5 night stay, we opted in to have house keeping, only to find out a few days in that we were opted out. Thankfully the house keeping manager took care of our room for us because of that mix up. Overall a good place to stay.

The person behind the desk called someone, walked away and came back 15 mins later and told us that a room was now ready. We went to said room to find it was still in the process of being cleaned. This properly was conveniently located next to a Walmart next to a Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. It was a 15 minute ride from the beach and a wonderful day.

I travel for work and these Courtyards are really getting intolerable in general but this property is not up to par. On the plus side, the bathroom and shower was clean. Mattress was completely worn out. The lighting is useless for reading in the room. I suppose the lights are dim so you can’t see how bad the rooms really are.

We set our dirty towels in our bathroom before we left out at noon and greeted the housekeepers as we left. We returned around 9 pm and our dirty towels were still in the bathroom. All along the hall way were piles of dirty linen from practically 50% of the rooms on the 2nd floor. We had to go downstairs to get two washcloths and two random colored towels that were the last available. The housekeepers were clearly understaffed. I have stayed in Marriotts many times and this stay was the worst. When you’re in a beach town, the last thing you expect is the hotel running out of clean dry towels.

TV bracket was broken, the TV pointed down towards the floor rather that towards the beds. The TV also had a grayed out screen, likely it's so old the screen was just toast. Also, for the high cost of the room, the TV was TINY. The beds felt like stacked cardboard rather than a comfortable mattress, it made sleeping almost impossible. We did complain to the front and they gave us free breakfast for 2 of our 4 days long stay. We appreciated the offer however it didn't fix the problems with the room. This hotel seems old and run down. The only upsides were it's location being very close to UNCW and the staff at the front desk was very friendly.

It’s not located walking distance from the beach, however the drive was not bad. Traffic was even bearable during peak hours, so it’s a plus.

Curious smell on the bottom room, then check into a different room with someone already using it, it was all very confusing and upsetting at the same time. Finally I was able to check into second room with a cleaner room and atmosphere.

Missed my flight and neither Expedia nor the hotel were accommodating with the request to change the reservation so I ended paying for a hotel I didn’t use. Probably last time I book travel thru Expedia.

Our door wouldn't open when we unlocked it.. apparently you have to put your full body weight into it. When the staff member showed us, she was very condescending.

The carpet was filthy dirty and the bathroom was not clean!! Urine around base of toilet, sink fixtures not shining. I had to ask for extra sheets to cover the carpet and cleaning supplies to thoroughly clean the bathroom!!

My 17 year old and I came for a soccer tourney. They provided free breakfast just for the players which was so helpful.

Very clean and friendly staff.

All of the staff were so nice and helpful, check in and check out were easy. Location is great right across from Walmart and walking distance to 3 or 4 restaurants

Very noisy as it sits right by the highway, particularly if you have a room on the back side of the property! Room was clean, but shock worn. Tears in carpet and upholstery dingy and picked. Could definitely use a facelift….

I wish there were more breakfast options.

Our room was outdated, dirty, stains on the ceiling carpet, when I took out the spare blanket for the pullout bed it was actually so dirty. I felt gross after touching it. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom. The staff was very responsive to our requests and seem to be trying very hard.

Great location as you can walk to several restaurants. If you get a room on the right side of the bldg beware of the noise. Our room had a musty smell coming from the old fashioned A/C unit, I had to purchase Lysol to kill the odor. We had no body wash in the shower and the carpets constantly felt wet due to the humidity. Starbucks within the lobby so that was a high light of the stay.

This property needs a major overhaul.

Wonderful

There was a huge rip in the top bedding cover that couldn’t have been missed, so it just must be considered acceptable there. Also, some genius decided to install the carbon monoxide detector directly above the bed, so the glowing greenish/yellow light hits your face just right while you lay in bed.
