Great stay. Will stay again

Our only issue was that there were no umbrellas or shaded area around the pool. But it was a lovely hotel. Clean and well maintained.

Everything was great

The key card for the lights didn’t work and didn’t stay on. The couch had a huge stain on it and looked very very dirty. My car had drips and stains on it. The tip for the valet through the app did not go to the valet. I had to tip twice . Room 817

Our front desk check in was great. I can't remember his name but he worked late night. Super helpful and kind. Room was spacious. Coffee shop staff is also great. Pool was great.

Excellent location. Short walk to restaurants, busy night life, lively street. The hotel is in a very convenient location. Clean room and attentive staffs. Thank you for Jennifer and Nia for taking care of me with my needs as my stay there. The breakfast staff is fast and courteous. I would return to stay there again next time.

I also LOVED the size of the room and shower. No bath or hot tub but a great rooftop pool and plenty of outdoor lounge space up and downstairs.

Let’s start with a great location on Rhode Island at 14th, then add in a friendly, responsive staff, combine with comfy beds and great baths and you have a great hotel. This is our new go to property in DC.

The room was large and comfortable, the staff were very helpful, and the restaurant was great for happy hour. The location was also excellent & within walking distance to many restaurants, shops, and bars, while downtown was just a quick Uber or Lyft ride away. The only disappointment was that the rooftop bar and pool were not open despite the hot weather. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel

There was mold in the shower. A toilet that makes a horrible noise for several minutes after flushing. The room faced an alley filled with dumpsters that were rolled out at night and very very noisy. Then the trash pick up early in the morning with a back up horn that went on forever. The Valet service was horrible. I had to wait 1/2 hour just to pull into the hotel. I would never stay there again.

Big disappointment. The rooms overlook roofs. There was privacy because there was no filtering shade, thus the neighbors had a full view, including the hotel room around the corner (I could view everything in their room too). And lastly, very little light! Unlike the website photos of the room, the standing lamp was no longer there. Therefore I had to keep the shade open. What a joke.

The hotel staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive throughout my stay. One of the highlights was the coffee—it was excellent and a great way to start the day. I also really appreciated that breakfast room service was included, which made the mornings much more convenient and enjoyable. Another standout service was the valet parking; it was extremely efficient and easy to use. Being able to simply text from the room and have the car ready by the time we got downstairs was amazing and made the experience feel seamless. Overall, these thoughtful services made for a very pleasant stay.

Hmmmm...not bad but did not love. Bathroom was great but room was dingy and needs renovation / sticky floor, a bit dank.

Valet is very expensive. $75 a night. No street parking so you must valet.

Excellent location with ADA room and roll in bathroom space to maneuver a wheelchair. Loved the valet parking and the ability to walk (and roll) to National Mall without fussing about traffic or parking.

I can’t recommend this place any less. It was the worst hotel stay that we’ve ever had in our entire lives. The staff was incredibly incompetent, disrespectful, uncommunicative, and extremely frustrating to deal with from the very first second that we walked in. For a four star hotel, I think that this hotel actually should have been a one star given the complete and utter failure of the staff. The manager was even worse to deal with an incredibly disrespectful. She made it seem like it was our problem for voicing a concern with our check-in, and does not work on the weekends. She is unqualified to be dealing with people in the hospitality industry. I will never be staying at a Viceroy property ever again. If I could give them zero stars, I would.

Staff was amazing, from check in check out cafe for a quick coffeee and the valet!! The rooms were a bit dated however clean and comfortable.

The location was excellent. We've been coming to the Viceroy for 4 years never a disappointment. Price comparable to area. We had minor hiccup that was rectified. So all was good. Great place to stay in DC! Easy access to a lot of popular spots. Very clean, aesthetically pleasing and friendly staff. The only thing I would suggest is renovating the fitness center. For a 10 floor hotel, the fitness center can probably hold 4 people max and that’s pushing it a little. Nonetheless, I will definitely be back.

The Bar Staff were not very efficient . Paid with cash, and got $60 1 dollar bills back. Expressio machine did not work in the room.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Viceroy hotel. My father stays here quite often as well, and they always take excellent care of me as well as my family.

The good thing is that it is close to the Mall and all attractions in it.

It's so silly to charge $40 for an amenties fee when you have no amenties. The pool is closed for the season and I couldn't tell you where the fitness center is. Just include the $40 in your nightly fee, it's much more honest. The stay specific issue is they started construction work on their closed pool (that we're paying for) at 10am on Sunday. The whole building was shaking with a jackhammer and drilling. I imagine most vistors had a rude awakening. Really poor planning.

The bar does have a good selection of literally everything one can think of. Besides, the room is one of most cleanest I ever see. Great jobs. I want to thanks all staff members in this hotel for the work they did to make it possible.

I loved the style of the hotel - the bar, restaurant, rooms, and art. The staff was also phenomenal! Unfortunately, the wifi was very faulty, the coffee machine in the room didn’t work, and the only temperature of the shower was scalding hot!

Great Stay

Location was great. Me and my daughter walked out the hotel to explore and saw sooooo much, including the White House. Room was comfortable and spacious. I loved the fire pit and my daughter loved dancing in the lobby. It was home away from home for me and my daughter. Only thing I wish is that the pool was open and that breakfast was included like the old days. Lol

It was a decent stay. Overall the staff was lovely but I wasn’t able to connect my phone to the tv to watch my shows/ movies. My trip was mostly to relax and get away from home and I couldn’t watch anything I wanted to. Also the people who were checking in right before me were offered water and I wasn’t. But like I said the staff was great.

Kind of a converted multistory motel situation with terrible views

The heater made a loud noise all evening that kept me awake. However, Dovetail restaurant’s food was good and service pleasant.

We spent one night only. This Hotel did not disappoint. Kudos to the door guy with the locks. He was so pleasant and had a smile with every opening and closing of the door. It was a joy to see.

Everyone was so nice. The property was very clean. Cleaning everyday! I just wish the restaurant in the hotel would have stayed open longer but that really had nothing to do with the hotel.

The room I booked at this hotel was absolutely lovely! The atmosphere was so nice, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The housekeeping did an amazing job keeping the room spotless. The bathroom was spacious, and the shower was fantastic. I also had a wonderful night’s sleep on the comfy king bed. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a getaway. Very clean, my room was nice. The hotel was very close to restaurant and attractions. The dovetail restaurant, I went there with my wife and we were going to sit outside first, but we then decided to sit at the bar. As we were going to sit at the bar the bartender first was very rude, so we decided to sit outside. Upon sitting outside there was one other couple sitting across from us. We were seated by the entrance where every staff member could see us. The first waitress came out and asked us what would we like, but she took awhile to come back, so another Caucasian man came out went right by us and asked the couple over from us are you being help and how can I help you. We looked at each other like wow. As more people came in he did not once come over to ask us if we needed anything. By that time our waitress came back out and offered her assistance. I asked the waitress who was the Caucasian man and what was his title, she told me his name was John and he’s the manager. My point that I am making is that everyone who was seated outside that evening was Caucasian except for us and John never once came over to ask us if we needed anything, but he went to everyone else to make sure that they was ok. John needs to be fired or diversified training for all races of people.

It was a fine hotel but the coffee house in the lobby was way too expensive. There are better options in the surrounding area.

Stayed for 4 days- room cleaned 1x. They offered a $35 daily credit toward food, which seemed great. There was a private event for 3 of the days and the roof top bar was not open nor the resturant. They serve a limited menu in the lobby as people rolled their luggage by bistro tables. The busiest time was in the morning and the cafe was only open 2 of 4 days and the “to go” coffee was short staffed for all 4 days taking 20 min for a coffee.

This hotel is terrific. It's further than we usually stay to get to the offices we have meetings in when we are in town, but it was so delightful, the food was terrific and the staff were exceptional so the distance was okay because all of that made up for it. highly recommend.

This is truly one of my favorite places to stay when in DC if not my favorite. I always recommended it to others and I will be back in the near future.

My check-in experience was fantastic and I want to commend the gentleman who helped me check in the morning of December 15. I was able to check into my room (very helpful as I had jet lag) and he was very friendly. He even gave me a gift of chocolates as my birthday was the next day. Really nice!

The Viceroy was great! Amazing location, walking down 14th street allows you to explore a lot of awesome restaurants and bars. Like Pearls Oyster Place and Barcelona. I'd avoid the food trucks as they over charge. Great service at the hotel, cool look and spacious room. Great spot if you like being active in the city.

Staff were friendly. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The furnishings were very tasteful, clean and modern. Good location, 15 minutes walk downtown. I booked 'breakfast included' on booking.com, but this was actually an allowance for breakfast of $21 per night. This was not enough to cover most breakfast options on site when surcharge added.

Karen at the front desk was AMAZING! So friendly and upbeat. Zach also did a wonderful job. Overall, great stay and would come back.

The overall hotel experience was excellent. The place that they fell down was on getting breakfast on departure. Waited for 20-30 mins for a coffee and breakfast sandwich. This was not in the seated restaurant but in the take out cafe and they added in an 18% gratuity. For what slow service in a take out line? Over priced and SLOW. This was my only complaint. All else was great. I would return. I would use my breakfast credit differently.

Great hotel and service. I would stay again but I did feel a little deceived with the breakfast package, they worded it where I was receiving a daily $35 credit but it was one credit the entire stay. I spent way more for breakfast than I expected.

The room was nice. The hallways were aged and not clean. Breakfast was a combination coffee bar/service model. Food was great. For 2-days I had a $35/day Facilities Fee in addition to the room fee. I did get $38 credit for breakfast or $19/day. I never understand Facilities Fees.

Lovely property in excellent location with boutique feel. Main downside is lack of elevators; both cleaning staff and guests use the same tiny two elevators, causing long delays.

When checking in we were given a room that had a basement like window (up high with something blocking it), and the hallway smelled like pot. When we complained, I had to really press the person at the front desk for another room. The property appeared to not be well maintained. Our main room window was cloudy (appeared to be from broken seal), lots of chips on baseboards, doors and paint in general, walls in bathroom and grout were dirty. The room was quiet and the beds were comfortable. Very disappointing overall, especially for a Viceroy hotel.

We had an awesome stay here! We were in town for a music festival and this hotel was so convenient. Very nice accommodations and food options. Awesome location and very walkable.

The Viceroy is a great property right in the heart of the capital. We were able to easily walk to the mall, White House and several monuments. The rooms were clean, spacious and well appointed.

Front desk service was abrupt, not very friendly. The room was very nice, great bathroom with handicap accessibility. For such an expensive hotel....single ply industrial toilet tissue!! Really?!

Felt like i was staying in a basemnt dungeon. The whole flore smelt dirty and damp. Fridge lekaed on day causing a significant safetybissue in the room on tiled floors. The woman on check in was awful she really could not care about cuatomer service. The cold was ice cold. Wifi was not good and you can only connect 1 device. The are outside of the gotle.smelt of drugs. Only 1 usb charging in the qhole room. Jesus its 2025!!! We had paper cups wrapped in palstic for hot drinks this in not eco friendly. The administration charge was a real rip off. This hotel is 2 stars at best.

We had a lovely time staying at the Viceroy. We enjoyed the staff and accommodations. The location was perfect for our trip and our needs. We would definitely book again.

Great place overall but needs some softer cushions on the sofa and please clean the stains off the cushions and don’t try to hide them under the pillows. That’s tacky.

The roof top pool area was a great way to eat my breakfast. Very meditative. So convenient to restaurants, fun areas. I felt very safe on Metro.

This is a fun hotel in a fantastic location. 14th Street is just around the corner, and it's like the whole world of shops, restaurants, and great people is there. Our accessible room was comfortable and very nicely decorated.

Was in town for a convention and this hotel was super cute! There’s a lot of cute places to eat around the area too. Unfortunately didn’t get to try any but def wanted to. Also pretty lively from what I saw

This hotel is so lovely and conveniently located in the Logan Circle area. We loved the atmosphere of the neighborhood and convenience of the area to restaurants and sightseeing. We definitely would return again.

They acknowledged our 40th anniversary with an upgrade and in-room snacks. Only cons: the sofa in our room needs replacing or recovering, and the parking guys took forever to bring our car around. Tip: text them ahead of time! We will definitely stay again.

I thought the hotel was very nice the rooftop pool bar area was nice and quiet also. BYOB though cause those drinks were $$$ The front desk staff were also very nice. The location is great close to the metro, walking distance to restaurants but also very chill safe feeling area will definitely stay here again

Not your typical Viceroy standard, but great location and above average amenities. Rooms could use some additional updating particularly the bathrooms.

Pretty hotel & great location. However, check in was said to be 3pm. Our room wasn’t ready until 3:50pm. Very inconvenient and staff was not accommodating with trying to get us into a room that was ready/ speeding up the process.

Great area

We had a fabulous quick overnight stay at the Vice Roy with our family and our dog. All was smooth and lots of fun, thanks to the kind and professional staff. The rooftop pool was a bonus.

Very trendy hotel, but not very appropriate for kids. The walls are very thin--enough said. The pool was nice, but it is very small.

Pool is tiny the picture of it on there page is extremely misleading it’s about 25 ft big There is valet parking only at this location for $60/day keep in mind there is no street overnight parking available on street there all 2 hr only. Ps if u can walk or use a bike u can get a garage within a half mile for about $10/night. Room was clean but they not have any garbage bags in the room for some reason. Also as mentioned in other reviews room service members tend to let themselves into your room knocked like once and walked in there is a bell not sure why they wouldt ring it rather than knock. The fitness center also is tiny maybe 300 sq ft with like 5 cardio machines and 1 weight rack

The rooms at this hotel were dated, and not as impressive as I had hoped. The pool area was a lot smaller in person than it appeared on the website. Housekeeping was hit or miss. Absolutely zero shade to be found on the pool deck, which made walking, barefoot nearly impossible. I would not book this hotel again in this area as there are much nicer options that are equally or even more affordable.

Decor is tasteful and rooftop pool bar has great views. Alleyway below rooms is very noisy as the ground floor bar is located there - not good for light sleepers.

I'm due a refund for our first night because all flights were grounded for a storm. The refund was never issued.

Enjoyed it all and hopefully we will get to visit again.

The staff was great especially Armond who works nights. So kind and attentive to our needs. Hotel is clean and modern. The standard queen room was very spacious with enough room for a family of 4 that packs a lot. The huge walk in shower was great after a long hot day walking the monuments. Love this hotel!

Great location, convenient, spacious rooms. Good service. The only downside was that on our last night staying at the hotel we woke up to a cloud of smoke (weed) probably someone from a room nearby smoking in the bathroom and the smell reached our room. Something that it gets out of the hands of the hotel but worth to mention.

Well run hotel with very friendly staff. I have stayed here probably a dozen times. I stayed here before I moved to Washington DC. Then while I lived in Washington, I had visiting friends and family stay here whenever someone visited. I’ve now moved to New York and continue to stay here whenever I come back to DC. You absolutely can’t beat the neighborhood. Absolutely beautiful residential streets and 14th St. has everything you can want in a fantastic urban adventure.

- no breakfast restaurant, - a gym like a small storage room, - and a wonderfull smell of weed on the floor 8th from 14th to 17th of July, 2025. A better version of Holiday Inn in general...

I recommend this hotel. The rooms are spacious and the hotel is fairly new. The restaurant has good options for food.

The hotel was as described but the room service brought me cold pancakes with no syrup. After calling about it i had to wsit 15 for new food and couldnt eat with my partner.

The staff were exceptional and our suite was top notch!

The restaurant's food was impeccable, and the staff's attentiveness was remarkable; I never had to wait more than 15 seconds for assistance. Furthermore, the room was excellent, and the daily availability of fresh apples at the front desk was a delightful touch.

We had a great stay at the Viceroy! We really enjoyed the rooftop pool. The service, food and drinks were great. Location is easy to get to from the airport and close to everything. Would absolutely stay again! Of note if traveling with children (we had our 9 year old with us), the couches in the suites do not have a pull out bed, but there is room in the living room to accommodate the rollaway twin beds they provide.

This hotel is in a great location for us but it’s pretty tired.

Easy check in and check out and the car service was fast as well.
