Very run down and absolutely horrifically over priced. Tiny room.

There is no better location in the DC area than the Georgetown Inn. Everything we wanted to see was in a walkable distance with access to food, shopping, history, and culture. The staff was helpful, aside from an exasperated evening front desk clerk who was upset about bringing towels up. The hotel has all of the quirks of an old building, which could impact your overall impression if you're used to more modern amenities. We enjoyed our stay and will return!

Perfect location in Georgetown. Front desk, housekeeping and support staff were great. Needed car, no problem. Extra towels, no problem. Bus service outside front door and plenty of places for coffee, breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Front desk staff was horrible during check-in and check-out. Could care less about anything except for giving and taking the room keys from me. Would never return to this hotel again. Terrible customer service experience. I will be disputing the entire room charge for this stay.

Bathroom shower didn't close completely so floor got very wet. Shower stall really could use a soap dish. TV was incredibly frustrating to use. I would have shared these concerns at my early morning checkout but the receptionist was bored, unresponsive and uninterested.

Location Taking a $100 a night deposit and waiting weeks for it to be returned. Not a credit card deposit, they actually take the money, this isn’t mentioned in the hotels policy or in booking.com s policy

The Georgetown Inn is the only place in the district where I stay. I have been staying at The Georgetown Inn since the early 80s, and I will continue to stay there well into the 21st-century.

Nice location, larger room was worth it, somewhat noisy HVAC, impossible to control. I did not bother to ask about it (my wife didn’t mind and I just put some ear plugs in). Comfortable bed and linens. We did not use the restaurant or bar, quite loud and noisy if you like that kind of scene. Super walkable to everything we needed in embassy row.

If you want to experience Georgetown in its true spirits, you have to stay at Georgetown Inn. It’s walking distance to restaurants, harbor, university, shops. Parking is additional but was a relief it was to not worry about finding a spot or moving it. The staff was extremely polite and helpful, which made the stay memorable!

The valet lost my car keys! After an hour they found it but they were not helpful and with a very bad attitude.

Stained linens, shower wouldn't drain, musty smell and in this day and age, what hotel doesn't offer a mini fridge in room? It's in Georgetown, and the staff is very nice. That's about all it has going for it.

Just an overall pleasant stay at the Georgetown Inn. I've been a repeat customer for years and there just aren't ever any hassles.

The room was fine but the AC filter hadn’t been cleaned in a minute. I’m very allergic and my nose stuffed up and throat was iching all night

In general the hotel was very good, and the staff was helpful. It is convenient to the university , interesting restaurants, and shops. The in-house restaurant was fine for breakfast, but not always open for dinner.

TV stationed on cabinet too far to watch comfortably from bed and in need of updating; sheets and pillow cases unironed and ill- fitting, pillows uncomfortable…bathroom a good size although a vanity mirror would be appreciated. Everything was clean and neat though, and room service was very good; front desk staff friendly and location excellent

The Georgetown Inn is absolutely, positively, the best place in the district to stay! It is an absolutely wonderful hotel!

We were in DC on college tours. This was a fantastic place to stay. The room was much bigger than expected with a couch seating area. The rooms were clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. The location is excellent-shops, restaurants and coffee places all within a few blocks and if it was further Lyft and Uber are easy to use here.

clean and mostly rennovated rooms. Dank, musky smell in the hallways. No carpet which we like, but perhaps increases noise level for rooms below us. There was a complaint to our room, when we were hardly in the room and generally very quiet.

Other conveniences less accessible however. Although the room was comfortable and clean, decor lacked much appeal and there was no mini-fridge.

The Georgetown Inn is in a good location if you want to be right in the thick of Georgetown shopping, dining, and waterfront. However, what was once a charming old hotel is now the victim of a characterless contractor flip. Our room looked like a random highway-side Marriott; it needed a deep clean, lacked a refrigerator, had very cheap linens and an overly firm mattress, and the other furnishings were cheap and uncomfortable. Overall, it was a major disappointment for the price, and had I been fully aware of what I was getting, I definitely would have looked elsewhere for lodgings.

The hotel was in great location for us since we plant to go to some restaurant around it. Has a valet parking, has a resturant, it felt very good. I had a value room. The shower is small and old but clean, the mattress must be a 50 years old. I felt every coil in my spine. TV is very small, the chair in the room is as old as the mattress.

I contacted the front desk and the attendant came up and took pictures. I was moved to a different room and the sheets were cleaner. Thank you to Merlin. The next morning, it was raining and I asked for a second umbrella, the room provides one as a courtesy. I had to plead with the receptionist and explain the dirty room and that asking for an umbrella is not an inconvenience to the hotel. She rang for the manager and she told him I was the lady who changed rooms. They looked at each other and laughed. He didn't acknowledge the room change until I had asked him if he had seen the photos. He said he only glanced at it. He never asked how was my new room, he never acknowledged the dirty room. Instead he chose to small talk about university tours. I felt dismissed by management.

Overnight front desk guy was great but the daytime staff especially the valets weren't helpful, rude, and took forever to get my car after we called several times. My car smelled like vinegar after I got it back and the valet had BO.

This is a lovely place in an excellent location. The rooms are well outfitted and spacious. The restaurant did not seem open and with all the coffee options nearby it was unappealing to give the hotel coffe bar a try. Regardless I would definitely stay here again.

Great spot to check out Georgetown! $50 valet per night was a little steep in my opinion, but ultimately worth it, as parking is difficult in the area. The room was a good size for 3 people and very clean!

Everything, room was lovely, hotel in an excellent location and staff really friendly. Nothing to dislike, bar wasn’t open in the evenings on Sunday to Tuesday, but so many pubs, bars and restaurants around not an issue.

This very pricey hotel had the worst mattress we have ever slept on. Both of us were up all night. Clean hotel, great location, staff was good. But the goal is to sleep and we were VERY uncomfortable

This hotel was beautiful and the guest service was excellent. The room was much larger than we expected, very clean and stocked with toiletries.

The bathroom was very small with an awkwardly angled sink and a tiny shower. If you need a good night's sleep, this isn't the place. The mattress felt like a plastic-covered hospital bed, and the pillows were very lumpy and not comfortable at all.

The room had no access to fresh air, it was stuffy and smelled like perfume. The staff said if I want fresh air I can go outside. There was an air conditioning unit, but it was just recirculating the smelly stale air. The bed was terrible, too soft and had a noisy sliding plastic pad under the sheet. The pillows were the size of infant crib pillows and had no fill. We had a horrible night.

Great location in the center of Georgetown. Easy walk to all shops, restaurants and University. Recently updated hotel, clean and functional. Have valet parking onsite. Staff was friendly and helpful. Filtered water bottle refill station in the lobby. There was no refrigerator in the room. They brought one to us on request for free but would like that to be the standard. Would be nice to have a walking map of Georgetown available at the front desk.

New work-out room was comfortable but needed hand wipe sanitizers to clean equipment after/before use.

Excellent location in the middle of Georgetown First got a nice room but the heat didn’t work Next room was decent Didn’t like that it was overlooking the parking lot and that exhaust unit was outside our window with a constant noise

Hotel is nice. Great location, puts you right in the heart of Georgetown. Room was clean and the hotel is well maintained. Be aware that parking is not included. Overnight valet was and additional $59. Might have made a difference in where we picked to stay had we been aware upfront. All and all a good stay and would consider staying there again.

The staff is fantastic, the general manager is great, housekeeping is beyond wonderful, and the restaurant offers a variety of food that is out of this world!

The Georgetown Inn is an absolutely amazing hotel! The rooms are crisp, bright, and clean. The linens are soft, and the mattress is somewhere between fantastic and perfection! Hotel staff is absolutely, positively, amazing in every way! They are always ready, willing, and able to take care of any, and all requests. I cannot recommend The Georgetown Inn highly enough! I have been staying there since the early 80s and since that time it has never failed.

Was able to keep my bags and vehicle there after checkout until 4pm. Parking on property but they charge $50 for it so dont forget to add that.

We used this hotel as our last stop on our bike trip on the C & O Canal. It was easy to find, and the staff was helpful, letting us store our bikes securely.

The Georgetown Inn always takes excellent care of me. This is the only place to stay in DC as far as I am concerned.

It’s a perfect location but the staff are rude and their are NO amenities.

The bathroom was small, the shower door would not open fully. There needs to be a vent fan in the bathroom. Housekeeping was a plus. Centrally located was a plus. We would stay again

Rooms are large and very clean for the price. Location cannot be beat if you want to stay in Georgetown and stroll around one of the most beautiful and historic areas of the city. Restaurant is quite good. Gym equipment could be updated though.

The Georgetown Inn is a lovely hotel in the heart of Georgetown, walking distance to everything you could need…great restaurants, shopping, coffee shops,etc. Easy, quick taxi ride to the Kennedy Center. Our room was lovely, clean and comfortable. And the staff was super friendly.

I stay at The Georgetown Inn all the time! It is a great place to stay and ideally located in Georgetown Inn Washington DC. There are plenty of places to have a nice meal, a late night snack, there is even an insomnia cookies close by! In the morning, there are multiple places for breakfast, coffee, and just a great Place

Room was great. Location was amazing. Customer service could be better. Not friendly or helpful. When checking in or asking a question staff was short and seemed annoyed to have to help. Restaurant was great and service and food was delicious. Vending machines didn’t work. Someone left a pot pie from the restaurant on the table by the elevator. It stayed there our entire stay. 4 days….

Great location from restaurants and Georgetown University.

Location was great, room was adequately clean with a comfortable bed, but the bathrooms whilst clean were sort of hospital-like, not ideal for a boutique hotel, and the fact that homeless people just sort of drifted through the lobby (one guy approached us as we were waiting for a valet to park our car when we arrived), was also far from ideal. All in all, it was just ok.

The first night the air conditioning was not working properly and we had to change rooms. The rooms are a bit loud. Not sure if it’s the hvac system or something else. I found the staff and valet okay but not overly welcoming. I also wish breakfast was included.

We ended up checking in to The Georgetown Inn after our original hotel booking ended up being in a not-so-great part of DC. We were so impressed by the Georgetown. It’s the cutest boutique hotel in a great area. Walking distance to Georgetown shopping and the free valet parking was a major plus. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Could not recommend this hotel more. We will always stay here when visiting DC.

The location was wonderful for my activities. Even though close to the elevator it was quiet. Wonderful for someone coming home for a Georgetown visit.

Really fun and convenient place to stay when visiting the area. Best shopping in the area with plenty of restaurants, cafes, bakery, brunch, ice cream, etc. 5-15 minute ride to most popular monuments and museums.

Location is everything!

I was attending an event at Georgetown U and the Georgetown Inn is the perfect location. Right on metro line as well which allowed for a day of DC tourism. My only disappointment was that there were no refrigerators or microwaves in room. The picture online shows a fridge so I packed a whole weeks of dinners. No fridge was disappointing. But overall great staff, friendly, great location.

Was so disappointed with this hotel. Had great rates but very dirty room and the hallways smell bad. And when have you had a room smell like smoke? Ugh we were not happy at all.

No refrigerator or microwave in hotel. The noise from guests on the next floor above was loud.

I come to DC 3 to 4 ties a year and the Georgetown Inn is the only place I stay. Excellent location, AWESOME staff, the food at 1301 is delicious. The location put you right where the best shopping, dining and action is.

Only place to stay in Georgetown. Staff is AWESOME. Location is the best as you are right in the middle of everything. The food at 1310 is delicious. Stay here and you will Thank me.

Tiny rooms and even smaller bathrooms!

This is a beautiful historic hotel. The bathrooms are small but the location is amazing for easy access to everything in Georgetown. I stay here whenever I can find a good rate.

The hotel has a historic vibe to it, and with the recent lobby renovation it looks very modern and clean. I just wish they would update their bathrooms in the rooms because they look and feel dated.

We always stay at The Georgetown Inn whenever we're in the DC area. This time was no different except they've renovated the property. Making it even more comfortable. We love the central location. We'll be back

Great overall plpace to stay for DC. All the sights nearby, plenty of stuff in walking distance. This hotel has everything you rally need and good deals on parking.

We only stayed one night and we had an excellent stay. Hotel was close to many good restaurants. Check in & out was easy. Free valet parking was convenient

Unfortunately we always seem to get placed on low floors even when I request a high floor

I alerted front desk that one of lobby toilets appeared clogged and disgusting. They barely looked up from their phones.

The rooms need better beds and less rugged flooring.

The hotel was nice with a spacious and comfortable room. Location was perfect and the gym super with new equipment. They had a free filtered water station. The only downside was that there was no refrigerator in the room as it is said here on hotels.com.

I have stayed here for almost 50 years. It’s so nice that this place is still there when I come “home”. But lately, recent renovations, care and upkeep seem to give it new life. The place has a real energy now.

The valet was prompt/personable. Check was easy. Hotel was clean/bed comfortable and location was perfect.

Quiet, comfortable king size bed, nice location. HVAC easy yo control, Keurig coffee maker.

Everyone was very helpful

After conveying the fact that a dirty tray of food was in the corridor for hours, she merely said to into the dining room to Repot, rather than do it herself. The same happened when asked about water in the bedroom. Go fetch h in the gym was her answer.

I always stay at The Georgetown Inn, and it always meets all of my expectations, and even more! The general manager, on down to the Bellman all take exceptionally good care of me! I cannot recommend The Georgetown Inn highly enough

Going to see my son at Georgetown and it was the perfect spot, seeing I was arriving solo from out of town and coming to and from DCA. Easy!

Looking forward to returning. Very large room in great neighborhood.
