    Room is clean and large, and the location is pretty good too. Our suite came with a bottle of wine and personalized message (with a catch though). Wifi speed is awesome too. Overall it's a rather decent hotel, hardware-wise. The human factor. During our stay, it seems the entire hotel ran out of body wash. They did eventually provide us small travel size bottles after a lot of back-and-forth. Also the room was understocked with small things like bottled water, wine glasses and opener (beating the purpose of the free wine), and even after we contacted room service, some of them never came. Also, we checked in two rooms at the same time, but on our second day we received message saying one of the rooms was a no-show for the first night. Eventually they'd charge our card for the penalty so it had no real impact either way, but both the front desk and myself were puzzled how this would even happen.

    This is an excellent hotel in the center of the excitement of Dupont Circle. It is close to the subway station, great restaurants, and the usual tourist sites. Their bar is a great place to unwind at the end of the day.

    The room was clean, the hotel was fantastic, the location is Grade A. The staff is incredible. We had a bit of an issue and they went above and beyond to troubleshoot and made everything right. I would definitely stay here again when I’m back to DC.

    We have stayed in the Dupont Circle on a number of times in the past as it is well-situated, the staff are helpful and friendly, and the rooms are comfortable. The Doyle Bar and the Pembroke restaurant were convivial venues to meet up with friends when in town. We had to ask for the TV remote to be replaced as it didn't work

    The location was fantastic, a 2 minute walk to the Dupont Circle metro stop on the red line, and the staff were wonderful. My room exceeded expectations and the bed was extremely comfortable. Room service was quick and efficient, and the attention to detail by the staff made it a truly relaxing stay.

    The Pembroke lunch and dinner menus were trying too hard to be "fancy." Nothing under $16 for breakfast, and no burger for dinner. The Doyle was the other extreme; a desert at breakfast time (9:30?); has to track down the server. Having to call room service for ice every darned time was a drag. The TV selection could have been better. And I had real problems getting the in-room coffee brewer to work.

    Location is exactly what we were looking for. Lots of places to eat and drink in the area and a beautiful park across the road. We took taxis to the main attractions which worked out great for us. The area of DuPont Circle is a real gem. Highly recommend it as a base for visiting DC.

    Our stay at the DuPont Circle Hotel was very comfortable. The hotel location is great…very convenient to many amenities and especially to the Metro Red line which made getting around to the various sites easy. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We especially appreciated the late checkout arranged at the desk arranged by Alice.

    It’s a fine hotel with a couple of small-ish items to address: 1) shower doors make it impossible to take a shower without getting water all over the floor of the toilet / shower room; 2) glass door separating toilet / shower room clangs on the metal stopper every time it opens. Use bigger shower doors and put padding on the door bracket. Simple to fix. We were in a jr suite for three nights.

    Location! Some local construction near major shopping we weren’t aware of- but great access to everything. Pembroke Restsurant excellent - Server Brittany- excellent/ very comfy room and service great. I found some of the front desk staff a little stiff, was expecting Irish type hospitality. Some were very accommodating, others a little cold. The bar was so loud you couldn’t have any conversation in any seat. Plumbing was a bit slow in room-

They didn't switch my room. Just said they'd look into it and had someone caulk over it when I was out. I had to bring it up again upon checkout. They did apologize and gave me one night and my coffee purchases for free. Unacceptable for a hotel that charged $500 per night for graduation weekend!!

    I enjoyed the location of the hotel as well as lobby and restaurant. While the room was clean and offered water and coffee in the room, it was the smallest hotel room I ever stayed in. I ordered a king size bed and the room barely had room to walk around the bed. It was the only drawback of the experience and something that would make me choose another hotel.

    My family and I stayed at the DuPont Circle Hotel during our visit to DC. The hotel is very nice, the staff is kind and extremely helpful. Our room was incredibly clean and complete with the best amenities. The hotel is in a great location next to a metro station and about a 20 minute drive to the National Mall.     The bathroom had a heated floor! That was a nice touch, the room was clean, amazing location! The phone in the room didn’t work to call room services or the front desk. The only thing I can think of that was frustrating was that any request I made to staff wasn’t fulfilled the first time, I had to go down to the front desk and ask again before it was completed. Not a huge deal but that was surprising to me for this hotel. Staff was friendly, we only ate at the restaurant once but it was very nice! Not the most kid friendly but fine for older kids. The area had lots of restaurant options, CVS and metro stop so it was perfect for us!

    Everything was almost perfect except for the shampoo dispenser at the bathroom. And, actually this is not the first hotel we’ve experienced this. It is annoying that while your are showering already but can’t wash your hair properly because shampoo dispenser is either busted or out of shampoo. And, this happened 2 days in a row.

    Nice room, pretty hotel. Lots of construction in the area at this time. This is the second time we’ve stayed, and the second time I’ve received random charges on my credit card that I had to ask about. During this stay we couldn't check in until 4:30 given a glitch in their system ( the room was ready but the front desk couldn’t “release it”). A couple of minutes turned into 30.

    Great location right on DuPont Circle. Beautiful building , our room on 9th floor had a great panoramic view. However, there is only one lift that goes up to 9th floor and the staff was uncaring that it took a very long time - we even have waited for almost 20 minutes one time. The main reason is because the lift is programmed only to pick up by floor ie pick up 4th floor bring down, then pick up 3rd floor then bring down etc much like a school bus that picks up each house to drop off at school individually before the next house rather than have a route to pick up from multiple houses prior to dropping off at the school. Upon letting the front desk know they were indifferent at best. They also didn’t warn us that breakfast needs to be reserved in advance because they accept non guests and doesn’t prioritize hotel guests so we missed breakfast the first morning.

    location, and some of the facilities: restaurant (design, comfort, food), the outside terrasse is very beautiful, the fact that there is a little coffee corner just outside the restaurant where one can buy coffee and pastries without having to wait in the queue for the restaurant (which is usually busy as it attracts a lot of customers who do not stay at the hotel), a lively bar on the ground floor if one does not feel like getting out late evening but still enjoy a nice social evening. Rooms very clean, beds were excellent, friendly staff, strong shower, well working AC in the room. Nothing dramatic really but for a hotel at this level, there were a few disappointments during our stay: asked for a quiet room away from elevators, which we got, but on the side of the street where there was construction work all day. Would have liked for the hotel to flag that with us in advance at least! There are only 3 elevators that serve the entire hotel. One was out of order the entire week we were there. The other two were painfully slow, and always full (there was no easy way to see on each floor whether an elevator was going up or down, so everyone was entering them even if in the wrong direction, just to make sure they finally caught one!). Our room had a coffee machine (great!) but capsules were only added half the time, other times nothing. The windows had wooden blinds on the inside (very pretty but half of them would not stay open anymore), and rolling blinds on the outside (the main one broken so we had to manually pull it up and down every morning and evening). The reception added several drinks from the minibar on our bill at check out while we never used the minibar (upon complaining they did immediately remove them and produced in updated invoice). Such trivial issues are very fixable and should not impact negatively an otherwise pleasant stay at a very pretty hotel in a very pretty location!

    Very convenient location. It was easy to walk from/ to centrally and also right next to DuPont Circle metro station for those days when we didn’t feel like walking. The lifts were a bit slow (with one out of three not working). The rooms were serviced twice a day (including an evening turn down service). Would recommend the hotel

    The location, the restaurant, and the staff were wonderful. The carpets are dirty, it’s dated, it’s almost impossible to get room service or the front desk (rings and rings), and the elevators are very slow. Also, wasn’t pleased about not being able to order room service after 11 am. Our room had a roll in shower and there wasn’t much water pressure, the handle was plastic, and the toilet sometimes wouldn’t flush. The table in the room was too big for the space.

    We had a great stay at The Dupont Circle Hotel. They had very accommodating and friendly staff. We stayed in a classic king room, it was comfortable and clean. There was a nice restaurant as well, but we didn’t get a chance to try it out. Great location, near metro station and restaurants/ stores. We would stay here again!

    The staff was phenomenal; especially Estella at the front desk and Michael the concierge. Everyone smiled and acknowledged you when you walked by and were very helpful. A nice little touch was macaroons in our room on check-in. There’s a lovely café for coffee, pastries and sandwiches in addition to two restaurants on site. The rooms were nice and a good size however they could use a little updating with the carpet and the bathroom grout in the shower. Wonderful location, easy to take public transportation I would stay here again.

    Needs a remodeling. We had a small issue with 2 bugs in our room and asked to be moved. The new room had the shower fixture out of the wall and weak water pressure in the bathroom sink. The room was quiet, the bed was comfortable and the area is ideal but it wasn’t a special stay.

    I thought that the staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean and a nice size. I like that the floors in the bath room were heated. The beds were not that comfortable, and the pillows were terrible, I also kept hitting my toes on the base of the bed . There was no opening under the bed, it was solid to the floor. The hallways were decorated nicely but the rugs on floor 4 need to be cleaned. The cabinets under the sink in the bathroom needed a little paint and the toilets were extremely low, and the handle in room 407 that flushed the toilet needs to be changed out. Everyone who worked at the hotel was very nice and the dining room for breakfast was very pretty and the food was very good. I would stay there again and will be back in the future since we have family that lives in Georgetown.

    Loved the location and the service. Rooms could be bigger, but it is what it is given the location. Only complaint is the pet fee. They don’t clean your room if you have pets, and the fee gets you nothing other than a check in.

    The room itself was fine, well stocked mini bar and mini fridge available on request with ice was provided in the room. Little things seemed off to me - sockets next to the bed felt a little loose and the TV was off centre from the bed and pointed at the sole chair in the room, fine if travelling alone - less so if a couple, it was also unable to tilt towards the bed which seems where most people would watch TV from. But what do I know? The bathroom area was well stocked with toiletries and dressing gowns but the grouting of the shower floor was a bit manky. The view from the room (facing internally) was depressing, could at least try to tart up the AC intake a bit.. Staff were helpful and doormen were very friendly. My colleague had no issue with Valet and was very happy with their service. I used the hotel bar and restaurant once each. Breakfast service felt very slow despite ordering patries only and explaining we were on a tight schedule. Bar - good drinks variety, staff were quite good fun but our party of 8 could not be provided with individual checks - perhaps this is more of a quirk to the US than the Dupont itself. Surrounding area - great for diplomatic circle and Metro is very close for wider travel. Nice hotel - certainly, but it could be better.

    This used to be my favorite DC hotel. It's clean and in a great location for walking and dining but lots of roadwork in the area this trip and really long traffic lights which make getting around the Circle in a car impossible. The bar is excellent. The restaurant is ok. Comfortable bed.

    things were just a little off. We checked in at 630 PM then turndown service came at 7. The minibar was locked and when I texted the front desk how to open they did not respond. The lobby had a cute little coffee breakfast bar but it was not actually in use as I learned in the morning when I came down. Great location, clean hotel. Just the details were a little choppy. Staff was nice.

    Although the hotel was very nice, the staff was the best part for our experience there. They were always there with excellent advice and help. Place is a bit pricey, but it was very comfortable and had some nice extras in the room like fruit sparkling water, etc. Be careful with the alcohol fridge, as if you only take out one to look at, it be charged to your account. The cost of a little wine bottle is 30 dollars. We made that mistake, but the staff quickly adjusted our bill.

    Everything about my stay was wonderful, the valet service, the restaurant, the fellow guests, and especially the bed, which was incredibly comfortable and made for a great night’s sleep. The only issue I encountered was not knowing where the gym was located, as there was no information provided in the brochure or at check-in. My room felt slightly dated, and the bathroom’s heated floors seemed to need maintenance since I only felt warmth on two tiles. Additionally, the rug near the bathroom tile could use some stitching. Aside from those minor details, my overall experience was excellent.

    Nice location, friendly staff and great restaurant. My only gripe is the bathroom situation. The bathroom is not very private. It is very close to the bed, and the door to the toilet/shower enclosure is a swinging glass door with a gap. The person using the sink can see you on the toilet, and there is no sound protection due to the nature of the door. So, anyone in the bedroom area can hear everything.     This is the nicest hotel I have stayed at. We rented the suite with the balcony and it overlooks DuPont Circle. The bedroom was impressive. Mattress was comfortable. The bathroom had heated floors and towel racks. The shower was impressive. And a complimentary mini bar was completely unexpected. Thomas was amazing in checking us in. The Valet drivers were great.

    My stay at The DuPont Circle was amazing! The hotel is in a prime location and is beautiful inside. The room was very clean and classy yet modern, and had all the amenities you could need. The staff was extra special - from the front desk concierge Taylor and manager Eric, to the bartender Andres, and everyone else I interacted with was kind and smiling. Taylor went out of her way to be accommodating and it greatly enhanced my stay. I will be back!

    Was in for only one night. The hotel is fine - I don’t have any major complaints other than it’s not really a 5-star hotel nor is it deserving of a Michelin Key. It’s a solid 4-star hotel, but there are obvious signs of wear, the service is just okay, and the rooms are not what I would expect from either a key or 5-star experience. Again, it was fine, but recalibrate your expectations if you’re expecting a luxury experience.

    This is a top notch hotel bustling with great vibes. The bar has fantastic cocktails and atmosphere...busy but relaxing and lively. The Junior Suite was fantastic and service was outstanding.     There were no vip benefits. The first night was outrageously priced for what hotel provides. And I arrived late due to delayed flight. They put me in a loud (music piping up from bar) room.     As from other stays, ordered breakfast, horrible. It could easily be enhanced. Any coffee shop around the hotel would serve better quality bread, pastries, etc. Omelete is something not acceptable in any place. A not fresh apparently from a boxed egg mix with a gross gummy spread inside, total lack of creativity or respect for a hotel this level. It was a total deception. Croissant like supermarket cheap package, toast was burned not even tasted like sourdough. I challenge the manager of the hotel to eat it and then go to any even small nearby shop to have a greater quality. Had to go outside in a nearby offee shop to have a minimun proper breakfast

    Always a great stay. The folks here are always friendly, welcoming and helpful. A stone’s throw from the hotel is the Coffee Collective (formerly Firehook Bakery) for great coffee and pastries. The metro is right at the hotel for traveling around. If you don’t mind a walk it’s about a 40 minute walk to the Smithsonian.

Check if someone charged food expenses to your room.     Arrive early in the morning , and it’s great that they had a room service . From a very long flight you’re able to order a decent meal at the wee hours in the morning .     The room was very small. The only way to eat room service was at the desk which has a low unadjustable chair. I had to request room service two times in a four night stay.     Not a 4-star hotel, let alone a 4.5-star hotel. The faux-leather couch in my suite had stains of either the beverage or bodily fluid type all over it. Which also means that housekeeping doesn’t regularly wipe down the surfaces… So, they sent housekeeping up to try to rectify the problem; the housekeeper tried to explain that these were just water stains on the couch. At which point, I then had to borrow the maid’s cleaning spray and cloth to demonstrate that these stains could be removed with elbow grease… to be clear, guests should not have to clean their own rooms at a purported 4-4.5 star hotel… The bathroom was a gross, mildewed mess in all the grout and shower joints. Water stains on walls from past leaks… I shudder to think about what a black light would reveal at this hotel… I also stayed my first night here in a regular King— the cheapest available—and they put my in a room with paper thin adjoining walls; I was up the entire night because of the neighbors’ coughing and talking—and they were not being loud or anything. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU PRIZE CLEANLINESS OR QUIET.
