We liked the look of the hotel but had a problem and reported it but nothing was done. 1st night - AC unit was extremely loud all night - so we didn't get any sleep that night. Reported it the next day but no response from anyone. It continued to make low noises for the next 4 days. So we got very little sleep. Housekeeper did not leave us water or empty or trash or clean coffee maker. Left a note for housekeeper to leave water - she/he moved the note but didn't leave us any. Called down to concierge to have water delivered and our trash removed. Housekeeper came with water but knew nothing about the trash collection. Just really poor service. No one seemed to care. We got very little sleep in your very noisy room. I cannot recommend your hotel to anyone.

The sink top showed several stains, hinting at previous spills that hadn’t been cleaned up properly. And to top it off, there was even a bit of hair in the coffee maker, adding to the overall sense of neglect in the room.I will not go back to this hotel nor will I recommend it.

We had a great stay at the hotel, the only down side was that we wasn’t allowed a late check (as our flight doesn’t leave till 10.50pm) because we had booked Marriott pulse ( HOTELS.COM) I didn’t realise as I booked it in the UK so it was a very long wait to sit around ready to go the airport as checkout was 12pm. It’s an excellent place to stay to see all the sights Washington D.C has to offer. Our room was very comfortable and clean, nothing really wrong to say about the hotel and would definitely recommend anyone to stay her

Five star location three star ambience. No 24 hour room service. One sort of restaurant for such a large and impressive hotel where Churchill stayed and wouldn’t allow even a half hour late checkout. Don’t cater for vegans either.

Overall happy we stayed at the Mayflower. Location was good. Loved the hotel’s rich history. Biggest negative was the noice. The air conditioner was loud and on all the time (unless I manually turned off) and even with the a/c off, there was a humming noise through the window.

It was dirty, bathroom and sink wasn’t clean prior my stay. Someone else’s hairs in the bathroom as well.

The Mayflower is a lovely place to stay - a little noisy given its location but not unbearable. However, the thermostat in my room was hidden behind a very large lamp leading to a very cold first night before I found it. Also, it would be nice if the Edgar was open later for late night drinks for those staying in the hotel.

The Marriott was perfect for what we needed. Great central location with many transport options very close by. The staff were all very friendly and helpful with anything we required. Great place to stay!

I ended up checking in around midnight and there were two gentlemen eager to help me get settled. The ONLY complaint I had was valet was $63 per night, for overnight guests. Yes, you read that correctly. I paid $63 to park my car for less than 12 hours. If you’re checking in between Thursday evening and Saturday night, you’ll need to find parking before 7pm or you may be out of luck. You will NOT find street parking and the parking garages will be full. There are multiple clubs within walking distance so the affordable parking will go quickly.

Excellent location in DuPont Circle, in a storied, swank and very impressive property. Unfortunately, my room (731) faced an air shaft, with the opposing brick wall just a few feet from my window, and the cleanliness of the room was wanting (the bed looked like it had already been slept in, the desk needed dusting, the shower had mildew).

My trip was for a White House tour for my daughter and her friend for constantly being Honor Roll students. We had a tour bus pick up and drop off right outside the hotel front door. It made the sightseeing much more enjoyable. The staff was always at the ready to accommodate no matter what it was. I wi definitely stay there again.
