The room was a large corner suite with a king bed, floor to ceiling windows on two sides, two large screen TV's and a wonderful shower large enough for two. Great location two blocks from the Mt. Vernon Square Metro station.

Love the room that was a refreshing mix of a work space and rest space. Staff friendly and the included breakfast was robust and not a waste of time. I shall be back.

If you want peace & quiet at night, this location is not for you. On the first night, I woke up to the sound of helicopters passing overhead. You hear lots of sirens too. No problem with hotel itself - breakfast ok. Maid service was excellent.

The view was amazing from our room. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful with options for everyone. Our only complaint is that the nightlife outside is busy and it stays loud until the early hours of the morning, but that isn’t the hotel’s fault.

The room was good. The staff was great. The amenities were good. I recommend performing maintenance or upgrade of the air conditioning unit (room 307). It made significant noise at night making it difficult to sleep. Otherwise it was a great stay.

The hotel was kind enough to give us a free upgrade to a room with a Kitchen which helped us a great deal to prepare few meals in the Room. The location of the Hotel is great, 5 minutes walk to Mt. Vernon/Convention center metro station and you can reach any part of the city. "Giant" Chain huge grocery store is one block away. 10 minutes walk from Hotel to 14 th street that has many restaurants of every kind. Free Coffee is available in the lobby 24/7. I only wish there were some salad items and other items for breakfast.

Location Unfortunately, I left behind my AirPods Pro (with an orange case) and two gym accessories. These items were in the drawer of the nightstand next to the bed. On the morning of April 19th, I called the hotel to report the situation. A woman member of your housekeeping team informed me that the items had been found and advised me to register the case on iLostMyStuff and provide a shipping label. She also mentioned that the items would be kept in a secure location until they were sent back to me (I don’t know which location is it). A few days later, I sent the shipping label via email to one of the employees. After not receiving a response, I followed up by phone the next day. At that time, I was told the items could not be located. After additional follow-ups, I was later informed that the items had been found and would be shipped the following day. However, upon receiving the package, I confirmed that the AirPods sent to me are not mine. They do not have the orange case, my gym accessories were not included, and the AirPods received are missing one earbud and the original case is with many scratches. Additionally, my AirPods are still active and currently showing as located within the hotel premises. I haven’t received any solutions until now

Breakfast line is long and often no food available. Staff is a bit rude and unfriendly. The party next to the building is making lot of noise whole night till morning.There is no lobby for car and no reason to get the valet stopping on the street that's always full.

The property and rooms are all kept very well. Breakfast was good, parking is crazy expensive but it is DC. It's not a terrible walk to the national mall, about 40 min compared to as much as 30 min via car. There are loads of local restaurants within walking distanced, including a Michelin star. Chinatown is just a few minutes away on foot

Our stay was good. The room, gym, hallways, breakfast area and everywhere else was clean. The staff was friendly and allowed us a late check out free of charge. The only thing is the hotel has no parking other than valet, which costs $75 a day including the taxes. I find that a little too expensive.

The breakfast bar had good selections, the layout could flow better. Cups should be placed beside the juice bar. The kitchen could use another person to help with replenishing food.

Had to nearly fight for eggs for breakfast. The air-conditioning system was SO LOUD. we could hear couging and baby crying through obviously thin inside door.

The location was alright and the room was great for us. We tried to book in other hotels, but they didn't provide or have a room adequate for our family of six. The price was fair for the room we booked. The hotel could do better with their complementary breakfast with preparation and planning. There were long lines and long waiting times for food to be heated up when they ran our and had to refill. Long waiting that took almost an hour and not just food, but also hot water and coffee. Another, thing I noticed was that the hotel doesn't have a way of getting their staff workers on to the floors through service elevators or alternate routes. They have to get through or pass by guest and use the same elevators as guest also.

My room reservation was changed without my knowledge or consent causing me to lack the appropriate number of beds to accommodate my children without putting them in a room alone. The staff was unhelpful and quite rude, dismissing my concerns and frustrations. No compensation or anything was offered for their mishandling of my prepaid reservation.

The street so you can cook your own food in your suite which is nice. You are an 8 minute walk from the convention center so you get your exercise and enjoy the experience of DC.

the water is very drying, but i know that's not the fault of the hotel. if anything it really helped that hand/body lotion was provided in the bathroom.

The staff was very friendly, the hotel was in a decent location. Walking distance to grocery store, restaurants and bars is perfect. The distance for museums is not the best for walking, you will need to uber, use electric scooters or bikes. Over all the hotel was amazing.

Comfortable room setting. Very accommodating for a family visit. Good breakfast. Had an issue with the showers, as went to take a shower at 11PM, there was no hot water. I let it run turned all the way hot for 3-4 minutes trying to see if it would get hot and it never did. Luckily in the AM the hot water was working.

I booked three rooms. All are king bed rooms. In fact I got 1 room with 2 queen size bed (614). When I asked about this, the staff was unsatisfactory. I was disappointed with the staff response. Also, room 702, the heater was not working, the hot water was not working. It was fixed on the second day.

I stayed as a military member assigned to the area and it was great! The housekeepers and bartender was amazing!!!

The staff were very helpful and were the best part of our stay. The location is very conveniently located near the conference center and a variety of food options. The pullout couch was very comfortable as well. There was a weird light that was always on in the rooms and had to be turned off by unplugging it from behind the fridge. This is very poor design as most people find it hard to sleep in a lit room. Please fix this and the hotel will be 10/10.

The room was decent and clean; however I was displeased with the location. This hotel is advertised as having "subway access" to FedEx Field; however, it requires several train changes and more than a mile walk from the train to the stadium. When I called the hotel, I was told that the train has direct access to the field. Huge disappointment, as I had to spend roughly $150 for Uber to and from my event. I didn't like being mislead about the distance to the stadium and alleged "subway access."

The amenities and location were great The floor under the beds was filthy, as was the floor behind the toilet. The filter for the AC unit had a layer of dirt on it that was pretty gross, and disconcerting.

Witnessed an irate guest complaining to the on-duty manager about her getting into the shower and then finding out that the bath gel and shampoo containers were both empty. Instead of "I'm sorry, we'll take care of that immediately, can I offer you a coupon for a free drink at the bar", his response was "I'm not responsible for that" which infuriated her to the point that she checked out and said she was going to a different hotel. We should have paid a bit more and gone to a Marriott-branded property. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

I totally enjoyed my stay at Hyatt House (DC Convention Center). Rooms, Service, Breakfast ... Everything was on the spot. Highly Recommended and definitely a place to return when back on DC.

There was no extra noise. The price, compared to nearby accommodations, was exceptional and was well worth the inconvenience of workers in the elevator or lobby twice. The nearby grocery store reduced our meal and snack budget on the trip, which was an unexpected bonus. Although the reception desk was always busy, the staff's kindness and competence made the experience worth waiting. Breakfast was always tidy and well-organized. We had no issues with theft or safety. Our suggestions will be emailed directly to management rather than shared publicly. Thank you very much.

The two queen bed with den/convertible sofabed room had plenty of space for a family of four. Lots of space for a reasonable rate. We also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, which offered plenty of options. However, there were two notable issues. The A/C unit in our room wasn't blowing cold air consistently and despite informing management on three separate occasions, no one ever came to assess the situation. Also, my nephew saw a small roach crawling on a countertop.

Rooms ans hospitality was great. Very attentive to everything we needed. Kept checking in on my group.

I loved this hotel and their staff. The hotel is fully amenitized for both shorts and long term stay. It was super clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Not to mention it was centrally located. 7-10 minutes walking from the convention center with a lot of food options within walking distance. Also close to the train station. Would highly recommend.

Free buffet breakfast was a nice way to start the day. Front desk was friendly, check in was easy. Close to the metro, or walk to the National Mall (1.2 miles). Grocery store a block away. Room was nice, good size, city view (we were on the 9th floor), comfortable bed.

Good amenities, kitchenette in rooms, very nice bar restaurant lobby and atmosphere ie: green space walkable garden leading out from restaurant. A more substantial gym and a pool would make this excellent. Also WiFi was a bit weak.

This was a great hotel for a full 1-week stay, but it definitely had some quirks. We had a king bed with sofa bed and a kitchenette. We had a keurig coffee maker, a toaster, a 2-burner cooktop, a dishwasher and a bar-sized refrigerator/freezer. Dishes, glasses, cups, utensils, and cookware are also included. There’s an armoire, but very limited space to hang longer items like dresses and coats. There was a dresser that seemed to have 3 drawers; the one in the middle was usable, the other two had the handles removed and were fastened shut. Weird. We were provided with 1 packet of dish washer soap. And no more. We got 2 each keurig coffee pods, decaf and tea. And no more. We asked for more. Couldn’t get more, so we bought our own at the supermarket next door. We had plenty of towels most of the time. One time they took our used towels even though we hung them up, but didn’t leave freshies. We called for some and they were promptly delivered tho. Another time, they refolded and rehung our wet towels. So, quirky, but nothing was anywhere near a dealbreaker. Staff was friendly and helpful and sometimes as confused about the quirks as we were. Would definitely stay there again.

Location was very convenient. A short walk to the metro and you could connect with most of the important sites in the city was a pleasant neighborhood many nearby bars and restaurants.

The only complaint I have is about the breakfast. There was no choice of meats; they only served Canadian bacon, which is pork. It would be great if they had a variety of meats available, including options for those who don’t consume pork products.

The housekeeper entered our room uninvited put in a code and indicated no service because we were not gone when she arrived to clean the room. We called for assist and the manger arrived apologized said she was new; however when we came back to our room it was not clean although she came to our several times after talking with the manager. It was terrible- the hotel and room was so nice- but this really impacted our experience

The staff was excellent, but they had to switch my room twice. Turns out they had not finished replacing the old AC units, and the first two rooms' AC sounded like a jet whining - much louder than my voice. The third room was perfect. I arrived on Friday night. Parking took half an hour to wait for a valet because they only had one person available, and four other people were ahead of me. Saturday morning car retrieval was OK. I had the chicken sandwich for dinner. It must be grilled ahead of time, refrigerated, then warmed up, because it came out really fast with half of the sandwich fine while the other half was very cold. Since it was cut in half, the server must have forgotten to warm half. I don't expect a warmed-up sandwich at the Hyatt.

This hotel was great. My only complaints would be that the WiFi & cell phone service was not great, so when trying to plan what to do the next day, it was a bit annoying; and their hotel restaurant food wasn’t the best. Otherwise it was very clean, staff was friendly, its in a safe area nearby everything.

The shower was inoperable and there were wash cloths in the room when I checked in. The staff were supper friendly. However, this hotel is crossed off my list for future stays.

2 . You can't use the balcony area once the bar close 3. They charged my card twice for 2 days parking when I asked them plenty of times would I have to pay twice since I stay 2 nights 4. When I called they couldn't even tell me what was on my bail or even the other charges included deposit. 5. Both employees had no club on what I was speaking about 6. The first guy only sent me 1 transactions when instead it was 5! 7. 4 days later I still have not received my deposit

Spacious room. Clean. Safe. Property clean and centrally located to Convention Center. Front desk gave us a room that their Maintenance Engineering staff flagged NOT to be used. The TV and Wi-Fi did not work the entire stay. 2 Maintenance techs came on different days. They were nice but could not fix the problem. I spoke with Front Desk on 9/06. She agreed to issue a $75 refund for the TV not functioning. I checked on our departure day 9/07. The polite front desk gentleman confirmed he saw She initiated (some kind of) a request. He agreed to enter notes requesting the $75 refund too. NO TV. NO REFUND ISSUED.

The free breakfast was very good. The room was clean and neat. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The property itself was nice, clean, quiet, and the staff made attempts to rectify our issues. However, they were never resolved. Our entire stay we were without a tv and we had to keep requesting wash clothes.

The staff is friendly and resolves the issues you might have. But the thing is, I would prefer not to have those issues to begin with. It's the little things, like the WiFi that doesn't connect, and the coffee pods that are mostly decaf (and I don't drink decaf), and the fridge that did not work and as it turned out, there is a button inside it that need to be pressed to make it start working. The breakfast was tasty. However, the variety of food options can be significantly increased.

No room service provided for two days we stayed there. Room was okay. They do provide good breakfast but lack of room service kills all.

I had a three days stay here, but for 2 days I don’t have WiFi to use. I need to work using my laptop and the WiFi is somehow not working. I reported to the front desk and they said they were thing to fix, but it didn’t work out. I am not satisfied with this. Overall, the room is nice amf clean, and comfortable, but the experience is bad for me given the WiFi issue.

The next morning at 8am we were awakened by banging on the door by housekeeping requesting to clean the room. There was a “Do Not Disturb” sign hanging on the door which my husband pointed out to her. With that, she apologized and said she would come back later. UNBELIEVABLE! The hotel took off our parking fee to accommodate us for our troubles which we appreciate but they also need to improve their accommodations and customer service.

Walkable distance or short rides to all major attractions. Very pleasant and welcoming staff at the reception. Breakfast is also a good spread, but the service can be improved a little.

Food was great both days but on busier hours, staff had to be asked to refill items that ran out. Easy access to most places around the D,C area and helped that traffic was modest during the weekdays.

I had booked a large room for myself and some friends for a convention taking place, but was told only a week and a half in advance that the floor said room was on was under renovation and instead had to choose from significantly smaller rooms with minimal compensation. The elevators were run-down and bare assumingly due to the renovation and the valet service was ok. The food offered for breakfast was decent, but there are definitely better options out there. The service was great, but there are definitely better options out there, especially near the convention center.

Keep staff informed, it was the parking for me. I booked valet parking is a 24hr service. I went to a concert got to the hotel around 2am the lady in the front desk snap at me and told me, what you want me to do with your car! So Nasty and rude. Communication is the key people do better. I assume the guy incharge of valet was on break who knows.

Nothing available at all, I took videos to send to friends just to give them a laugh. Nothing. If you got lucky and there happened to be a slice of bread left you weren’t getting butter for it or a knife to spread. Forget being able to get a plate to put your butterless bread on. I asked and was continuously told they were cooking more. One plate of ONE item different came Every 15mins. Unfortunately there is now a line of people waiting for ANYTHING to eat and the plate of new food was gone before it was your turn. You missed out on waffles, try again in 15mins for the eggs to come out and hope you get lucky. I tried going back to my room To give them 30mins to catch up but came Back to the same story. I’d advise the hotel to just remove the complimentary breakfast at this point if you clearly can’t offer anything. I cut my losses and just paid to eat nearby. Three stars because the lobby and cleaning staff were friendly and I have no real complaints about the room. Thanks for nice room and a unique breakfast experience I will remember!

I frequently stay at the Hyatt House when traveling to Washington, DC. The staff is professional, friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean and newly renovated. The new upgrades are great. Highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed 1 night. Got down to breakfast at 8:30, the options were eggs, French toast sticks, potatoes, and bacon. The line was long. They ran out of breakfast, we waited for about 45. They ran out again. At the dry bar they had limited bread, about 3 options for cereal, yogurt and granola. Check out is at 11:00, housekeeping knocked twice and then just came into my room at 10:12 looking confused as if I was late to check out. Parking garage is available. Valet for overnight is $62- a bit ridiculous. Overall, for the price this place wasn’t what I was expecting- 3 stars and that’s pushing it.

I loved everything about the property except the entrance is a bit confusing as the front desk is located upstairs and there is no signage downstairs saying so.

Comfy bed, nice shower. Breakfast had great variety and was nice and fresh.

First thing right off the bat was parking, what a nightmare, you can either pay for valet or pay even more to park yourself. I parked myself because when i first got there i called about parking. I was told by the staff who answered the phone, you can park yourself and turn in your parking ticket to be refunded. I could remember how she said to do it so i went back to the desk the next day and was told there isnt anything like that. So we got there at almost midnight the first night and left the next day before lunch and paid our 38 dollar parking fee even though the daily max said 30. Your better off to pay the lost ticket fee of 30 dollars. Then when we checked in that night we were surprised with a 300 dollar incidental fee, 100 per night. I was told it doesnt say that on the 3rd party booking sites, where you pay "all the fees", you're expect to go to their website to find that out yourself, at least it was returned after but absolutely ridiculous that it couldnt be added into the fees when booking if its a set 100 per night. Not to mention the elevators were sketchy, shaking, popping, etc and one was under construction the entire time we were there on the inside and not a bit of progress was made with what looked to be like cosmetic work. Id stay elsewhere next time if i ever did come back to the area.

No towels were provided (several guests were at the desk asking). Had to ask for plates in the breakfast area. Had a broken air conditioning unit.

Checked in to discover that they had a water main break, so NO WATER in the hotel. No habd-washing. No toilet-flushing. No showering. Did they offer to find us different accommodations? Refund our money for the unsanitary conditions? No—they offered us free parking. Still no water in the morning. How do you stay open without water??

Here’s what happened: I left my sunglasses in the bathroom before going to breakfast. I clearly remember thinking, “I’ll leave them here for now and wear them later.” After breakfast, I packed my things and checked out. Once I got to my car, I realized I didn’t have my sunglasses. I immediately went back to the front desk and asked for a key to the room so I could double-check. They gave me the key, I went back — and the sunglasses were gone. No one had cleaned the room yet, so someone must have entered and taken them. When I called the hotel again to explain the situation, the person I spoke to was rude and dismissive. He just kept asking, “What do you want me to do?” I was actually happy with the hotel at first it was clean and comfortable but this experience completely ruined it. I expected better security and better customer service. I will not be staying here again
