Check in was painless. The room was clean and well stocked. The bed was comfy. Sirens are audible day and night. I think this is just a part of DC. I can also confirm that slamming doors are audible, particularly in the morning hours as guests vacate the rooms. I think installation of some door closers might help. I appreciated the on-site laundry. The machines were free to use and detergent was available for purchase. The hotel location is good considering the price. The metro station is about 3 blocks away.

The hotel was nice, location is good too 15 min walking from everything around comparing to price and parking was 53 dollars each night so it wasn't bad comparing to other hotels and location everything was good except the breakfast we must be aware of that the booking was only for two people with breakfast included and we were 4 people in the room ! We booked a room for three adults and a children 15yrs with breakfast included, but when we checked in the receptionist told us the breakfast is ONLY for two and we must pay for the additional two people 16.9$ each! this was unexpected

So upon booking this trip Expedia says total price with all fees included. This is 100% inaccurate! On top or the hotel and breakfast cost, I was told at the hotel I would have to pay an extra $53 a night to park AT the hotel. This was an extra $212 expense and was not included in my booking cost. The staff apologized but the only other option was to pay a parking garage fee elsewhere. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. We did not have access to the pool for unknown reasons. If I had to rebook I likely would not.

Bed was very comfortable and the washing machine and dryer were free. I should have read that the pool doesn’t open till Memorial Day (25th May). It was 35 degrees when we were there

Great Hotel. Great Location. Loved my chicken wing dinner at Johnny Rockets w/ 2 glasses of wine. I highly recommend this Hotel.

Unfortunately, the room had a very unpleasant odor that made the experience less enjoyable. We contacted the staff about it, but the only recommendation provided was to open the window, which didn’t really resolve the issue. Because of that, we likely would not stay at this particular hotel again or recommend it to others. We also found the wait staff at the attached Johnny Rockets restaurant to be less than hospitable during our visit.

Close to everything Nothing

I was there for a week and it was awful. Puddle of beer on nightstand when I checked in. LOUD starting at 7AM thanks to yapping maids, paper-thin walls, and slamming doors. A worker knocked on my door like the cops at 7AM one day thinking the room was empty, then called me rude when I slammed the door in his face. And the coup de grâce: a pipe broke and flooded my room, soaked my clothes. MOTHERF*** THIS PLACE.

That there was a Johnny rockets next door The staff sucked, it was so expensive for no reason, the hotel says pet friendly and harassed you after you checked in about the dog everytime you step out with thedog, super annoying, specifically the Filipino staff

Our water had whole punch in them when arrive home one of our carry on was soak with water bottle we left from the hotel with plus a plans spring bottle we bought

Wonderful stay! The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was extensive and the rooms were clean, large and there’s a wet bar! Conveniently located, Johnny Rockets on site and a little market that has anything you could ever need. We won’t stay anywhere in DC!

Very good location, parking underground (for approximately $40/day - which I did not realize 😫), friendly staff and clean rooms. There’s a gym, snacks and frozen meals available 24-7, a retro diner in the hotel that has good burgers and also vegan options. The bathroom in my room had the BEST lighting on the mirror, made my makeup routine easy.

I was initially given a room different than the one I had booked. The staff was accommodating to get me into the correct type of room. The room itself was fine, but showed serious signs of wear and tear. The shower was extremely slow to drain.

The parking fee was ridiculous at $53 per night. We also got some traffic noise - we were on the 7th floor facing the street and during busy periods it was noticable.

I liked that the hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly I did not like that the hotel did not have a free breakfast and it was about an 8 minute walk to the nearest metro rail stop.

Room was very clean but the air conditioner was very loud. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The 2 staff members at the breakfast buffet were very annoyed with each other which affected their job.

The hotel had everything we needed to be comfortable and close to the things we wanted to see and do. The staff were kind and provided excellent service including the reception desk, housekeeping, and the waitstaff. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff was amazing. At the front desk, the housekeeping and even in the restaurant. They were all wonderful. The room was clean and comfortable and had great amenities. It is within walking distance to restaurants and downtown. If you don't want to walk they will quickly get a taxi for you! I have no complaints. Everything was great!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were very friendly and always helpful whenever we needed assistance. Our room was very clean and comfortable which made our stay even more relaxing. One of the highlights was the breakfast buffet — it had great options and everything was fresh and delicious. We also loved their promo where children below 12 can eat free at Johnny Rockets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. That was such a great bonus for families traveling with kids. Highly recommended!

This could have been avoided with a simple advance notice to guests. Fire safety is important, but guest communication is equally important. Hotels should inform guests before any scheduled alarm testing to prevent unnecessary fear and potential injury. Hoping the management improves communication for future guests.

MICE in the hotel room!!! If they wouldn’t have billed me for both nights maybe I would’ve been quiet about it but nope… they still billed me for one of the two nights I reserved. I’ve been in a lot of hotels, some less then stellar, but never have I experienced this before. AVOID this hotel!

It was a decent little hotel right downtown in DC close to everything we needed to see! The price was a little high for the plainness of it but it was clean and felt safe and walkable distance to everything tour related. The restaurant inside was good and fairly priced. And it was fast to get a taxi and the bell service was there to assist with that. Would stay here again

The hotel was okay overall, but there were a few big issues. There was no hot water during my stay, the room was also quite noisy, and the parking was overpriced compared to other places nearby. For the cost, I expected a more comfortable and hassle-free experience.

Johnny was so accommodating and amazing. I got in early before check in and he ensured he called me to let me know my room is ready. He was so friendly and my stay was wonderful.

When I was there they were refurbishing the building and I was warned on arrival about some possible noise - there was none. Bed comfy and rooms quiet mostly. My weekend stay in Washington D.C was just a fun getaway for me and the Mr! I would say the front staff are very helpful the extra pay in hotel fees are ridiculous but i understand inflation and where we are located! Luckily parking on the street was free that weekend so we had no problems packing on the street the hotel is pretty clean the room smelled pretty good the pillows on the bed look big and firm but you completely melt into them that was definitely the best part of the trip!!!

The bathtub was clogged, so water took time to go.

The room was clean. But The toilet in the bathroom was back flowing every time when the upstairs is flushing. The sewage water splashing out everywhere. And AC was very old and loud, could not sleep well. Very disappointed.

We were on the 6th floor and it looked liked something flooded the hallway because there were large fans drying the carpet. Of course, this meant that the hallway was damp and smelled musty. We got to our adjoining rooms and realized that one of the doors that opened into the rooms was painted over and took some significant pushing and prying to finally open. That just seems like really sloppy and inattentive maintenance work. The rooms themselves were comfortable and clean upon arrival. The next day when we were leaving, we did call to let housekeeping know that we were heading out and wanted to have the room serviced. We returned back about three hours later and found the rooms had not been serviced. They finally arrived closer to the evening and we let them know that we did not want to have the room service at that point. Overall, most of the service was good with the exception of the housekeeping issue, and my kids appreciated the Johnny rockets

My stay was wonderful and I would definitely recommend to others!

The service was excellent. Staff is very friendly. Room was clean and plenty of towels! I was on the 9th floor, which is also where the laundry room is right outside the elevator, so the floor is warm and very humid. Parking is very expensive, 50/day, which is the price around DC. Parking in the street around there is limit to 3.5 hr (except residential area) using ParkMobile apps. Parking on the street is free on Sunday. Breakfast is $16/adult if it’s not included in the hotel. Overall. It’s a nice hotel and family friendly.

We loved our stay. Check in was smooth and very thorough with helpful information. If you are bringing a car, parking is a simple process. Hotel is a great location. Hotel staff were super nice and knowledgeable.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Room was clean and rooftop pool was the cherry on top! Centrally located and nice spot to walk or uber from.

Very comfortable Rooms. Well maintained. Supportive staffs who helped with late check out as per our flight itinerary. Safe location. Most of the tourist attractions are either walkable or within $10 taxi ride. Good for family with kids.

They took $100 as security deposit and was never returned. We just stayed a night and we left everything the same.

Parking is tight in a small parking garage like small but if you come early you’ll find a spot in it not sure how it works when it’s full.

Great location, very convenient to the museums and monuments. The parking garage is underneath and secure. Everyone working there was helpful and pleasant. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I have a bad back so that says a lot. I would definitely stay here again on my next DC trip.

Nice location. Nearby to the capitol and some nice restaurants. Rooftop pool was neat though the water didn’t look the cleanest. Parking is an additional cost to consider. I found it to be convenient and secure though expensive imo. Great neighborhood to walk around being from a small town. Onsite restaurant and very clean lobby. Overall good experience, staff was nice. Would stay again.

Johnny rockets is terrible, service is awful and the food isn’t that great. You should definitely consider converting that into a continental breakfast for hotel guests.

The staff was really nice and the room clean and spacious for my party of 4. I will definitely stay there again and location was very convenient, 15 minutes to the metro station.

There were delays checking in due to the IT system having problems. The receptionist, Gail, was clearly trying to cover for a manager who would not answer the phone, but her charm and helpfulness prevented a lower score.

Alley way to the parking garage causes anxiety. Large flies in the hotel room. This hotel doesn’t offer Netflix or Hulu or any streaming services which is a bummer. Other than this, the stay was decent. We felt safe. No other complaints.

Parking rates are extortionate.

We felt really safe at the hotel. The atmosphere was calm and family friendly. The front office staff was friendly and efficient. The room was cleaned daily which was really nice. I am glad we chose this hotel for our stay in Washington DC.

Very clean hotel that is very walkable to all the monuments. Breakfast was delicious.

We loved the pool and dining. The staff was nice. The parking was terrible, I would never bring a car there again. The spaces are super tiny with too many cars and no where to turn around. Took us several people to help try to get in and out of a space- plus you pay 50 dollars for this parking that is so hard to get in and out.

The garage was very small and hard to park the car in it. The price for that tiny garage was over priced.

Restaurant J.Rockets was in lobby and pool deck area was enjoyable. J.Rockets service was subpar. I sat at bar area in AM waited ten mins , then others sat next to me and were served. Night before I made a Fries order with bar tender waited sand waited but never served, so I left.

Staff was friendly and informative. Double room had comfortable beds. Just around the corner from great dining options and a Whole Foods. I liked that the hotel had coffee available downstairs as well as the rooms. They had a 24hr mini convenience store on site. 15 minute walk to MacPherson metro stop and 5 minutes walk to the bus going into town. Very safe neighborhood to walk around.

Safe area - close enough to walk to museums and White House but had a neighborhood feel- staff was extremely nice and helpful - room and common areas very clean - we easily used Uber as it was very hot during our visit. P St is just a block up near Logan Circle with many restaurants and a Whole Foods Market. Would definitely stay again.

Absolutely liked everything about this hotel. From delicious dining options to cozy rooms with stunning views, everything exceeded my expectations.

Hotel was very clean and in a great location

The hotel was clean and safe. The room was a good size. The housekeeping staff was excellent. One drawback was there was no fan in the bathroom, making the room overall feel damp. I know, DC in June has high humidity, which makes a fan in the bathroom all the more necessary. But overall, the hotel was a good value for the money.

Walkability

I was surprised that there wasn't any pads of paper with The Holiday Inn logo or pens in any of the drawers or near the computers. I always have pen and paper but others also commented about the absence of paper and pens. In the scheme of things, this absence is not the biggest issue. The staff at the front desk have been especially helpful. Thank you all for making my week long experience in DC so enjoyable!
