Staff was kind of knowledgeable. The room and interior hotel was clean. Breakfast was great. The location was perfect for the occasion. Trash left outside by travelers in different areas. Not really the property’s fault - just had time to get to. But it does make an impression.

Hot tub was barley warm and didn't work. Our room had no hot water. We were offered another room that was in no way comparable to the one we booked, we instead left and were told to call the next day about a refund since the service we booked was not provided. Still waiting on a return call from management.

La opción de poder lavar tu mismo a cualquier hora, estuvo muy bueno, lavamos entre 10 y 11 de la noche sin problema. El desayuno sencillo, pero bueno, huevos revueltos, pan, mantequilla, wafles, jugo de naranja y manzana, café y té, avena instantánea para preparar. El lugar de ubicación del hotel muy tranquilo, el estacionamiento gratuito. Destaco que wake forest es un ciudad muy bonita. En general el hotel estuvo bien.

We got the juccuzi tub but the water never got over Luke warm. It was borderline cold....The bed was very hard and you could hear other guests talking in the hallways when we tried to sleep

Bed was comfy. Outdoor fireplace. Staff was not friendly. Hot tub is not traditional hot tub- they claim swirling water is a hot tub.

Only 1 would work, and my husband's C-pap machine had to be used for that. We found a cord that came from behind the head of the bed that looked like it needed to be plugged in, but no outlet available for it, and not even sure what it was used for. Lights are LED and wayyyy too bright. It was hard to get comfy cozy. Bed was hard and had an incline. Microwave started to smoke after just 5 seconds. We were in room 202.

The hotel in a whole was very nice and clean, but my room smelled like a dog. I had to get room freshener for it to be tolerable. If this hotel allows pets, they should designate pet friendly rooms like hotels do for smoking rooms.

This hotel was filthy. I had to take Lysol wipes that I had in my car to wipe down all surfaces including the floors. My room was not cleaned for three of the four nights of our stay, The desk clerk said we had to request it. It was never disclosed to me that this was the process and it was not posted anywhere. Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast. Staff was OK. Parking was OK.

It was ok ... the bathrooms could've been cleaner it was lots of hair in my shower and the floor of the shower has stains that look like dirt i tried to remove it with a towel but i guess its just stains but overall its a ok place to stay just clean the bathrooms a little better!

Cleanliness, it smelled amazing upon walking in. I booked during a kids trip, so mid morning there was sooooooo much banging and stomping and loud noise. I was trying to nap and couldn’t; I had to just get up and leave for a while. Walls are definitely thin and can hear everything.

The staff here are great. We were upgraded to a beautiful room. The hotel is very safe and clean. The breakfast is a nice start to the day. Great location in Wake Forest.

Would rate higher if we had been made aware when we called days prior to arrival that we could not have a roll away bed when we were calling to confirm that we indeed had one reserved.. was told upon check in that roll away beds were not allowed in rooms with double beds.

It was good for what we needed..just the rims need more light and the pool wasn'tclean so we didn't use it. Everything else was good

The breakfast was good however, they need more staff to assist with keeping the food refilled properly. The breakfast staff told me that it’s worst on the weekends then during the week. The hot tub water was murky but the pool was fine. Overall, my daughter and I enjoyed our stay.

The manager of the hotel was very accommodated to me and my husband housekeeping was very friendly.Room was very clean and comfortable. The only thing we think that needs improvement is the pool area.The jacuzzi was not working appropriate. The pool area does need some very much work on it. The other than breakfast was wonderful.We appreciate the stuff and the manager very much so. We would definitely stay there again.Thank you all for the kind way you treated us

All good a hidden gem of a hotel peacefull clean grea8 people.

Parking lot had people sleeping in their vehicles, truckers stayed behind the handicap parking areas blocking access to get out safely. The room was a king suite that had cracking paint and stains on bedsheets. Hotel staff wasn’t the worst but weren’t exactly proper or polite, just gave it enough to make it not horrible. The pool crowd next door made peacefulness almost impossible and the sound proofing for the rooms is horrible, every step, every stomp every movement nearby is easily heard. Suites are close to the front of the property so require multiple layers of curtains/blinds to keep outside running lights from making you feel like it’s always morning no matter the time of day.

The hot tub needed to be hotter and the jet were not very strong but relaxing..

Place was clean. I had some interesting staff interaction. I came back to hotel around 11. Desk person was on phone texting and what should have been a one minute conversation turned into at least 10 minutes while she was texting. Said computer was giving her issues. Hmmm. The next morning I go to desk to drop off keys and the lady was sleeping with her head down on desk. I felt guilty waking her up.

Location was in a good spot. Seemed to be safe. The indoor pool was nice for the grandkids to enjoy. Loud music was playing and it contained profanity in the lyrics, so I wasn't pleased to have my young grandkids subjected to that I requested a wheelchair accessible room and this was not big enough for someone using a power wheelchair. The HVAC system in our room didn't function correctly. Only one the electrical outlets and USB ports beside the bed worked. The desk was broken away from the wall and the outlets attached to it were useless as well. The light in the shower would flicker but never light up completely. The "free" breakfast was confusing. This hotel is used by a lot of travelling sports teams and most of the players need to be in their fields by 7-730, so they have to leave the hotel 30-60 minutes just to get to the sporting event so those families can't partake in the breakfast. Too bad, because the sole lady working the breakfast area was doing a fabulous job. The already prepared food was tasty and surprisingly good. However, the juice machine was ragged looking and the face of it was loose. Also, as someone in a wheelchair, I had a difficult time reaching items high up. I even burned my wrist on the waffle iron. I can imagine young kids trying to reach the food. Disappointed there wasn't any whole milk or chocolate milk to choose from.

The photo displayed on the hotel’s booking page was misleading, as the room shown does not exist. The room we received was far from acceptable. Although this is a pet-friendly hotel, the sofa bed mattress had visible urine stains, which is completely unacceptable. We reserved a king suite but were given a queen bed and a sofa bed instead. Overall, the hotel felt old, outdated, and poorly maintained. I will not stay at a Clarion property again.

My only complaint would be the super thin walls/ceilings. I was on the 2nd floor and kids were running around on the 3rd floor for 2-3 hours that night. I stuck it out and didn't make a complaint to the front desk because I know they were kids BUT I feel the front desk should do better when assigning rooms

I have pictures of the elevator and all the filth in it my room with wires hanging out out of the lamps. The lamps did not work and they were plugged in. It’s just not the kind of place you wanna stay overnight not to mention the extreme noise all night long with whatever was going on down the hallway every night they said it would only be one night. It was every night. I would never stay there again ever in fact, I will never pick another hotel with that name.

This property was very clean. I loved the fact the rooms had no carpet(due to my allergies). The free breakfast was fine except they didn’t offer a non-pork option. Also, we are non-smokers and the people who were smoking were allowed to stand (and smoke) right outside the entrance. We wished they had a designated area away from the door. We would definitely stay here again.

I have stayed at three hotels in wake forest for lengthy stays. One of them was stealing from me and several other guests with our credit cards. Another hotel was ok but would never stay at that one again. This is the only one I would stay at again. I’ve been treated and taken care of so well. And this is the only one I trust. I love these people❤️

The comforter had old dry blood on it. It was roaches in the bathroom. The sheets was dirty the outlets was not working. they did no accommodating at all had too call corporate will never go back.

This definitely fell short of expectations. The bed is surrounded by a wooden box/frame that we kept hitting our shins on. The trim around the actual mattress is so prominent you feel it pressing into the back of your legs. The mattress topper is of such poor quality the lines from the pattern was visible on my body. I was literally in pain and did not rest well. The pool was clean and the hot tub was nice. I was hoping breakfastime would be better and was to start at 6:30 . We arrived 6:35,the lights were off and the room was almost full with workers also waiting to eat. It was just being set up. After about 30 minutes, it still was not complete. Someone who may or may not have been a supervisor came in in sweats and started directing the person and they went in the kitchen. When they emerged the server was pushing the cart with the food but the supervisor had gotten a full plate of bacon and eggs and walked around eating. By that time my diabetic husband was needing to eat so we went next door. There not even juice set up that he could have sipped to get his levels up until breakfast was ready. There was no point in trying to lay back down until check out because the bed was so uncomfortable. There was no one at the desk to tell when we left. All though the person who checked us in the day before was super polite and helpful, I would not return.

This definitely fell short of expectations. The bed is surrounded by a wooden box/frame that we kept hitting our shins on. The trim around the actual mattress is so prominent you feel it pressing into the back of your legs. The mattress topper is of such poor quality the lines from the pattern was visible on my body. I was literally in pain and did not rest well. The pool was clean and the hot tub was nice. I was hoping breakfastime would be better and was to start at 6:30 . We arrived 6:35,the lights were off and the room was almost full with workers also waiting to eat. It was just being set up. After about 30 minutes, it still was not complete. Someone who may or may not have been a supervisor came in in sweats and started directing the person and they went in the kitchen. When they emerged the server was pushing the cart with the food but the supervisor had gotten a full plate of bacon and eggs and walked around eating. The rooms are very clean and sanitary. All the staff here are very kind, helpful and so pleasant. That’s a huge plus for me. No one likes to be paying a lot for a room and encountering an employee having a bad day and disrespecting you. I’ve had that happen at another hotel down the street. And another one across the street. You won’t find that here!

My family and I was there for a wedding and when entered the hotel was greeting accordingly, the front desk workers customer service skills was impeccable, breakfast food was good but ran out quick that was due to everyone eating breakfast, for the parking- Friday night parking wasn’t bad but Saturday night parking was full, still found parking. There was one person working in the kitchen, she was tall and I believe in uniform on Saturday morning, she could have been more friendly but with all the cooking and the demand from customers, could have ruin it for her but still. The rooms was clean and presented the same image as online. Overall, I give this hotel from one to 10 they get a 10. The staff was super nice, the room smelled very clean. Parking was easy. There was a little white powder on the floor and table so I wasn’t sure if that was some of the cleaning product or if the tables weren’t wiped/vacuumed.

Great pet friendly. Decent breakfast. Friendly front desk staff. BUT, cockroaches in our room. Saw three, killed one, but to see that many,means the hotel as a whole has a problem. The floor was coming up in the room.

My stay was good and affordable. I think it's ridiculous to charge $20 fee if you check in early, especially when the room is already ready.

I love this hotel

Room was clean but bathroom had no towel bars to hang them. Shower door would not stay closed during shower so towel got wet as i had to lay it on bath mat outside door on floor. Also there was a loud knocking noise coming from bathroom after use.

The room was fine minus the tv not working and the lack of temperature control. The real issue was having a rude, noisy, and inconsiderate neighbor who proceeded to blast rap music from at LEAST midnight to 6 am. Not only did this happen but 30 minutes after checking into the room a staff member keyed into the room without knocking leaving us terrified for our privacy. In addition housekeeping was very persistent on coming in after we told her multiple times we were in the room and didn't need it to be cleaned in that moment. I feel like I got what I paid for in a sense but small changes like training the staff better could have prevented many of the issues we had during our stay.

Hotel is average. The bathroom shower had hair on the wall when I first got there and the toilet was wobbling. Probably not attached correctly. And a strange smell in the hallway.

June 2025 Visit: Mentioned roaches in room on 2nd floor but front desk was not shocked. I asked if it was normal - said "no" but didn't seem worried and said "have a nice day". The towels were placed on top of dusty open shelves. There is no fan in the bathroom so the vents are rusted. It says to add a photo but I will refrain from adding Charlie and Bob (the cockroaches) to the photos. I am posting because I called customer service and they seemed concerned but then said "thank you for calling and we will make a case number - stay on the line for free points to your account for this issue". It was a second party vacation service - not free points. This lady apologized and is not part of Choice Hotels.

One day our room was not cleaned or beds made. No towels for the following day to shower. My niece had to track down one of your employees to get clean towels.

The property overall was decent. I hate the fact that the mattress cover doesn't get washed often and the pillows without cases. They are stained and GROSS!!! Its ok to use some of the money WE pay to upgrade the bedding regularly. We pay to sleep on each other's filth. DISGUSTING!!!

Stayed here 2 times in the last month, and it’s amazing I really recommend there suite there pretty big and more comfortable compared to the queen beds there rooms are a lot smaller.

I couldnt locate my initial itinerary booked the day before & lost my 2 queen bed room. Hotel is ok. Updated but the corners are dirty in the bathroom, it just seemed like a repainted old car.

Guy at front desk was friendly was helpful. Smelled fresh and clean. Stayed in the 2nd fl, smell was a little bad. Room seemed okay at first glance, but once you really were in there, you could see the issues. Bed was uncomfortable. Seemed like a bed with springs. We decided to bring bathing suits to hit the pool and hot tub. Pool was so foggy you couldn’t see the bottom. Hot tub was okay. Pool table was terrible, tape all over it. After coming back to the room, hall smelled like weed. Next morning, breakfast was okay. WE WERE ASKED 3 TIMES if we were checking out. BEFORE check out time at 11am Housekeeping came to room twice and I guess the manger or front desk person. Like why were we being rushed??? It was a baby roach in the bathroom.

The bathroom was additionally dirty and had what appeared to be some sort of smeared substance on the walls. When we woke up in the morning there were roaches crawling over the bathroom floor and sink. When we brought this to the attention of the front desk their response was “What do you want us to do” This is completely unprofessional and beyond burdened me in more ways than an uncomfortable experience. They not only placed me in an unsanitary establishment they additionally left me with the financial burden of replacing all of items I brought to their establishment or potentially bring the roaches home with me.

It is clear this hotel takes the cheapest route with everything. The key card holders have been used over and over again. The bathroom was unclean, the shower basin was literally brown with stuck on dirt/ grime from over time. Doors were slamming all night in the hallways. The cleaning staff was vacuuming up and down the halls at 8 am.

BED BUGS. This place charges everyone a $100 or more as a deposit and then doesn't refund it. That is the best part of my trip since they sent me home with BED BUGS! This place was filthy and I really didn't want to stay but I didn't have the energy to fight over it. I went to target got some Lysol and fabreeze and made the best of it. Never again. Trust your instincts.

I have stayed at this location for almost 5 years; I will not be returning.since the old manager Nick left it has become a joke.nothing but terrible experience one after another. My last stay I got charged a $20 early check in fee but the lady in front of me did not.i was told it was the new manager and nothing she could do rudely. I am so disappointed because I could have been staying at much nicer places this entire time but I chose to stay at this clarion for the staff and the way they treated me and my family. Smelled like weed, cockroaches in room got into my food, staff didn’t have extra pillows when I asked, hot tub was broken. Then, when I went to check out a day early due to previously listed issues, staff printed me a receipt showing a credit. 2 days later when I hadn’t been refunded I called and was informed that staff gave me the receipt before checking me out to show a credit but once I was checked out that credit was used to pay the room. Wont be back

The overall stay was okay. The only thing I would have liked to see was less hair and dust around the in the actual room. I cant count how many long straight hairs I found in my bed and a ballon that my daughter had weirdly picked up hair along the floor. Other than that part, the stay was okay. It was a hotel. The staff was pretty unprofessional from start to finish- took about 15 minutes for the girl to wander to the desk after being called, they watched cartoons loudly with the doors of offices open to the breakfast area, there was quite a bit of trash around the property and the garbage cans were overflowing for the majority of my stay. On check out there was a woman at the desk who was on the phone with a personal call that didn't acknowledge me until I made a motion to put my key in the basket and then she told me to go ahead and drop my key in the basket. Overall terrible staff attitude and dirty facility. Lot of people loitering around at night, drinking in common areas with no staff at the desk past 8. Wouldn't recommend.

Everything was great.

The lobby is beautiful however this is the only nice area of the hotel. The room had a faint smell, the knobs on the heat/air conditioner were broken and falling off. The outlet in between the two beds did not work. Visible stains on bathroom walls, roaches were killed in the bathroom.
