The staff is amazing. It's definitely a pet friendly establishment. I did see quite a few dogs on the premises but none were vicious.

We eventually went to the front desk in person and were told housekeeping would bring towels within 15 minutes. They never arrived. The lack of basic amenities, poor communication, and unresponsive service made for a frustrating experience. I would not stay here again.

Dirty cloth left in shower with pubic hair on it. Trash found on floor. No hair dryer. No extra blanket. Staff was okay. Hole in bathroom door where it looked kicked in. Shower curtain would not stay closed because of the angle the curtain rod was installed. Water pressure was very good. Overall kind of ghetto.

The room was clean but the amenities were a little outdated. The staff was very nice. My hat goes off to the guy who pics up the trash( ocassionally does rooms). He does an excellent job regarding the upkeep of the property

The room was clean. AC worked. Water pressure was average. Hot water was good. Bed was comfortable. It was quiet. Really good price for my last minute stay.

The room was dirty—cobwebs in the corners, hairs in the shower/tub, our feet were black from minimal walking in the room. The bed was not comfortable and only 2 pillows on a king bed, 2 small towels, no fridge or microwave, no toiletries. Just not what I’d expect for the price at all.

I definitely want a refund I asked but they said booking.com don’t give refunds. The locations, they give vouchers out to the locals so they were so many dogs out there, the remote didn’t work for the TV wholes in the floor, overall disgusting. I’m trying to add pictures but won’t let me!!!!!

The room was for only one night. If l had a multiple night stay l probably would have choose somewhere else.

Hotel prices are reasonable. Room was reasonably clean. Hotel needs alot of updating. Outside of Hotel needs a pressure washing and cleaning.

They upgraded me from a king to 2 queens...not sure that was an upgrade. There was no fridge or microwave and the tv did not work.

The property itself is showing noticeable wear (ceiling, tub) and the standard room does not include a mini fridge. Overall, a solid budget-friendly, pet-friendly option with excellent staff, but a few issues with property upkeep.

Normally no complaints but this time the tub needs a redo completely and walls painted where holes were patched and flooring had a chunk missing from it.

Showerhead worked but needs replace. Caulking needed around tub, water damage, but no mold or smell. Quiet from traffic noise.

There was no kitchen, and I did see dogs on the property. How ever there were some tenants in room 108 that were arguing Friday evening. I could not sleep because of the noise. I was awaken again Sunday morning at 2:45AM. They were vey loud and disruptive. This room is close to the office and nothing was done to alleviate the problem. The young lady kept asking the gentleman to get off her and give her the kays to her automobile.

The rooms were dirty , they had crack heads cleaning the rooms . Our check in was for 3 pm , rooms weren’t done until 4:30 . And they had thugs outside with guns walking around .

I had the standard which wasnt bad for the amount I paid. The only things I didnt like was the water pressure was extremely low in the bathroom sink and there is only one ice.machine for the entire property

Smoke free room reeked of smoke, uncomfortable bed, peeling paint, confusing tv, paper thin walls and phone in room didn’t work. Only redeeming quality was price. Would not recommend.

The TV did not work in my room. It took 90 min and a trip to the front desk (after I made a phone call) to get a tech to fix the connection. Therefore I missed my nephew's program. The bed was horrible. You could feel all of the springs in the mattress. The desk in the room had a sticky substance on it. The fixtures in the room were outdated. The AC made a horrible noise when it was turned on. I chose not to report the AC because I was made to feel like an inconvenience when I reported the TV issue. In addition, the toilet ran constantly. To add insult to injury, someone was banging on my door at 4:00 am. Yelling for Rose to open the door. (Why...no Rose in this room)

I love how the guy at the front desk was very professional and answered every question I asked customer service was spot on.. also the mirror by the bathroom witg the light was also cool...also I like that u can bring your pet with you if you want witch is always a plus.. I would stay here again!!! The t.v. didnt work witch is why i gave it a 4.5 star..

The hotel was fairly affordable, space is clean and decent. Good point is that thus location has fast WiFi. However, the room I lived in has no refrigerator or microwave. Overall, a great stay for 4 days.

When I extended my stay I asked for rags I was told by the front desk they would bring some n never brought them called downstairs was told they didnt have any rags after I gave mine to.the housekeeper no rags was my issue n.lack of communication as well

Nothing. We didn’t wind up staying at this hotel. It had nasty bed sheets and burn marks on the counter. It smelled like smoke in all 3 different rooms we tried. Also they wouldn’t give out money back so we wasted over $100. Everything could have been better. The rooms were NOT nice like in the pictures.

This redroof inn is by far the worst one i've ever stayed at. The bathtub was not clean.Bath towel was wet t v did not work.Front desk was no help.Well, not stay here again.But like a partial refund or something to compensate.

The room was very clean along with the bathroom. Despite it being an older building, it is kept up and maintained. My only complaints were the towels having some hair on them and the dirty vents. For the price, it was well worth it.

No mini fridge, microwave, hair dryer, iron/board, hand towels (only bath towels and wash cloths), Significant mold between the shower curtains indicating that the liner never gets changed. My stay at red roof inn was horrible and disgusting. To make a short story they make you pay extra to have a microwave and fridge in room which is not mentioned online . The room was horrible the tv wasn't working, the sink was running the whole time both nights, the bath towel had a yellowish tint to them , the bed sheets had stains on them i had to go to front office to pick out new bed sheets they all had stains on them. Police was alway called , it was a guy sleeping in a uhaul truck outside my room , people sitting in cars smoking weed and watching everything you take in your room i felt unsafe both nights couldn't sleep. This is the one on 196 Ballard court in Va Beach.. Every staffs are very nice & friendly.. Everything is good here.. No interruptions, I had a procedure done and need to heal up.. Do far I am still here and will be checking out on Sunday morning.. Thank you to Red roof…

Dominic at the front desk was awesome. Very friendly and professional. Check in was very pleasant. The condition of the room was very disappointing. I realize that the majority of Red Roof Inn's are older and run down but for $180 for 1 night I expected a little better. Come on Red Roof do a little better. The chair and ironing board in my room should have been thrown away years ago absolutely disgusting. I don't know if it was black mold or just years of gunk built up on the AC vents. The ceiling peeling and falling onto the already stained blanket on the bed.

Booked online, upon arrival realized the room did not have a small refrigerator, went to front desk and was charged $60 cash for refrigerator in room. Turned on TV and only one channel worked. Booked the hotel twice. First stay room had refrigerator and working TV, second booking felt like we were taken advantage of. Will NOT stay here again.

The room was clean and bed very comfortable. The only thing was night time the room i had was at the end to the back and looks like a hangout spot to smoke and talk all hours and my service dog barked almost all night because if the talking outside by our room also too many outside light which made our room too bright even with the curtains closed. It was for 1 night and a saturday night also so i guess the place was full so it way not too bad.

They have homeless people living under their trees in the parking lot. Our room reeked of cigarettes even though it is 100% smoke free! The staff is the only nice part.

It is not a 4 star hotel, but it is a good value. My only complaint is an obvious lack of maintenance. The sink was falling off. The bathroom fan was noisy. That sort of thing. Staff was great.

It was quite which was great, but we didn’t sleep under the blankets that was provided. They seemed suspect. The pictures were deceiving because the room needs upgrades besides the mirror. We took a few photos of the bathroom because why would you think that was ok to not replace.

There were no conveniences - no fridge, and the ice maker was broken so we lost all the food we had in a cooler. The beds were uncomfortable and you could feel every spring in the mattresses. The pool area seems nice, but this place needs a serious deep clean. I would not recommend staying unless you have no other option.

There were cigarette butts on the floor and it was a non smoking room. Bed was itchy. Smelled weird.

The rooms need updating and truly need a huge upgrade. Some of the staff have attitudes and have forgotten they work in hospitality, while others did amazing. It seemed as if all the rules were not enforced on all guest but mostly us, which we never were a problem and if something was said to us we made sure to address it. So if you have no other choice please consider some of the other hotels in the area, as this place will always be my family’s and I last option for our next stay in the Virginia Beach area.

Staying at this hotel made me want to see an infectious disease specialist after check out. How this establishment is allowed to keep rooms in such a deplorable state is beyond me. Stayed less than 6 hours. Only that long because my husband could not drive anymore and nothing else had availability at 2am. Told mgmt the deplorable condition of the room as was told they dont issue refunds. I've also called corporate since the mgmt at this franchise location doesn't seem to care.

This was the second worse place I’ve ever stayed in. The shower had hair everywhere. It most definitely was not cleaned before us. The toilet was also dirty but luckily not as bad as the shower. The room smelled like feet and cigarettes. The microwave was also dirty so I didn’t even use it. I wouldn’t let my kids sleep with the blankets they provided at all. I went to Target and bought blankets to lay on as well as sleep with. I understand the place is old but old doesn’t need to mean dirty.

Rooms smelled like smoke, sheets and covers full of stains. My family and I used our own bedding…the bathrooms were outdated. The only saving grace is that the staff is amazing, you can tell they are doing the best with what they are given to work with.

The Wyndam Wyngate I stayed was a good value for the amenities that it shared, including an indoor pool, hot tub and a pretty damn good free breakfast. The service was on point and were happy to help you with any questions or needs. The hotel imcluding the rooms are clean and comfortable. I would definitely refer this hotel to family and friends.

Stay at the Red Roof Inn gave me peace without a lot of commotion like other hotels! Staff greeted me with the best welcoming greetings anyone could say!

I left this property early and stayed in another hotel because I found it to be a terrible place to stay. The parking lot is full of pot holes and unsafe for cars!! The room did not have many things that are standard in other hotels---hair dryer, blankets, mini-fridge, for example. The phone and the TV did not work.

Gentleman that checked me in was kind, efficient, and friendly. He was a good start to my short stay

There was a construction job adjacent to the hotel that made a meeting that I had a little tough. I also wasn't aware that there were different tiers for having a microwave, refrigerator, or even a chair in the room. I would consider those base amenities that should be in every room.

First pet stays free! This was great, as I have a cat. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Any issue that came up was handled immediately.

Better than i though it would be, occasional heavy pet smell in a few of the rooms.

The staff were very friendly and helped us with our TV that didn't work properly without some help. The only disappointment was we didn't have a refrigerator and no microwave as well. I was informed they're only in select rooms. The bed was comfortable.

This is a nice and clean place if you want somewhere to sleep and it is affordable. The guy at the front desk is really nice and helpful. I would definitely come back again.The only thing that I would recommend is that the sheet are kind of not thick so bundle up during winter. But still great.

We felt unsafe when we stayed overnight. There was an argument next to our room.

The hotel was pet friendly. Staff was great! Helpful and fun. The rooms were suppose to have dorm type refrigerators and microwaves in them. Ours did not have either. It was inconvenient as we had shopped for groceries accordingly. We had no cooler. Other than that, things were fine.

Every time we come to stay at the Red Roof Inn on 196 Ballard Court in Virginia Beach Virginia we have an excellent relaxing time the area around the hotel is clean our room is always clean and the staff is wonderful!

There is signs of not smoking and still the rooms smells terrible. The tv control didn’t work. The linens had cigarette burns.

Front desk staff is amazing. The laundry girl is always at the front desk being rude as can be. This woman stop giving us towels because the front desk clerks would let us use the microwave she told us we couldn't and they did anyway. She threatened to call the police, told us she was going to get us put out all over a microwave. This woman was crazy but the front desk told me I had nothing to worry about and don't pay her any mind. So if you stay there and the housekeeper says she waiting on towels best believe the laundry girl is at the front desk harassing guest when she should be folding towels.

Dirty is the first word that comes to mind. Noisy is 2nd word. Dog barking in unit next to us. Disrepair is next, felt like I was in a thrift store. Dangerous, drug dealer tried to sell my 2 teenage boys drugs outside our hotel door.

Seems to me it was a crackhead motel, people walked all night long, no microwave or mini fridge, will not stay there again

Most of the staff is friendly. Then you have the ones who make your business look bad.

I had to have them have maintenance come in and repair a leaky sink drain. No amenities such as mini-frig or microwave. But the TV was excellent.
