    The staff was pleasant. The hotel itself is a trash hole. Holes in the walls, stain everywhere. The air conditioning hardly works. You are supplied with no towels and have to request them. I will never stay here again.

    Worse stay I have ever had at va beach the staff was rude and they take money off your card in middle of the nite then refuse to give it back I was charged over 700 for two notes in the smallest room they had the Mrg said they was going to refund me and it never happened but booking did nothing about it has well I will never use booking.com again they don’t stand behind there customers

    Location There was no written anywhere that there was a $50.00 pet fee only that it was pet friendly. Other websites either posted the pricing or said it would be additional, but NOTHING on Booking.com.The gym was closed due to a soccer event and I needed this for my physical therapy.

    Hallways on the floors was hot, no ventilation. Location was great for the beach! Other than that, also got charges on my card that ws unrelated to my room. It was a legit mess. Cindy was THE MOST HELPFUL and absolutely amazing. But the night time staff was not friendly at all or even cared. The room also had a "urine like smell" soon as we opened the door. And stayed lingering during our stay there.

    I would advise to pay more and don’t stay here.. The place needs major renovations. Only 1 working elevator. Ice machines were broken, bathrooms were filthy, bed linens had a thin top sheet used as a comforter and no blankets to be found. Staffer shared that they had no access to linens after hours. Parking and breakfast was included in reservation but was told that administration removed those amenities without notification. Staffers were nice and helpful but conditions were beyond their control.

    Location The facility is very old, from the bed to the curtains and carpet, the bathroom is very small and stained tub, dust was on top of the shower wall, I do not recommend this hotel at all. You pay a resort fee per day, and there is only 3 or 4 weight machines, dirty pool, and a few game machines. The whole facility is very neglected and dirty

    The location was nice and the restaurant Las Palmas was great. Poor customer service. Left our door open twice after cleaning our room. Notified the front desk both times and nothing was done about it. Had to ask for towels every day because they would take them when they cleaned the room but did not replace them. Was told by the front desk that a manager would call me to address our concerns and got nothing. The room smelled horrible like wet moldy carpet. The elevator was broken so they only had one, which was very slow. Used the stairs most of the time I was there. We didn’t even try the pool because of how unclean the overall building was. It was probably out of purser anyway. It was in March when we stayed there. We won’t be going back.

    Upon checking In the front desk staff, which by the way are excellent, made a face when I told them how bad the reviews were that I read, in a way that suggest “Believe them”. The cons: For us tall folks the bathroom will not work, the room has spots, cracks, something was biting us, (not bed bugs I checked), I believe the beds are a little bigger than a twin, only only elevator working, no breakfast…..the plus; great view, staff was as helpful as they could be

    The hotel is very old, unclean, and the rooms are sparsely furnished. Our beds were only covered by sheets. There was no hairdryer in the room and there was only a sliver of soap set out for guests. There was a large enough gap between the door frame and the door that light shone through at night. The sliding door facing the beach was stuck and immovable. The elevators were dirty, scary, and one was out of order during our stay. The smell of weed was so strong in the hallway one morning that I wondered if the smell was going to stay with me once I left.

    Good location. Pool was dirty, no bath towels when we arrived, spoke to front desk 3x and nobody brought bath towels to the room, had to find a cleaner on another floor to get bath towels. Couldn't use the lamp the plug in was broken. Trash sat outside the rooms on our floor for hours in mid afternoon looking so unprofessional.

    I loved that this hotel was ocean front and affordable. My room was dirty. We found dog food in the corner of the room, surfaces were not dusted, and the sheets did not fit the beds. While I do not mind hotels that allow pets, finding dog food piled in a corner made me feel like the rooms are not cleaned well.

    Unfortunately the room we got had wallpaper that was peeling of the bathroom walls, dirt and stains in the sink and on the walls, and one of the beds did not come with a blanket. There were no phones to call the front desk. Our neighbors were yelling until we knocked on their door kindly asking them to please quiet down at 11 pm. The halls were dimly lit and creepy, this place looks haunted. Parking was convenient and location was on the beach. The Mexican restaurant inside was actually really good. View was nice and location convenient. Like a motel 6 on the beach.

    A few things I did not like about the property was we had asked for our room to be clean since we were going to be away from the property all day and it wasn’t clean. Had to go back down to the ask to at least get the trash taken out since we were traveling with a child. The next day we asked to have the room clean and the room was not clean again only trash was taken out and new towels were placed. Bathrooms are very small and a tight squeeze but overall the room was in good conditions.

    The view and location and staff were great! You could feel the springs in the bed. Only one body towel in the room, room was very dirty, looked like it hadn’t had a thorough cleaning in a long time. The elevators are old and one was out of service, there was big blue tape holding the corner guard on. There were dust bunnies and a fork right behind the armoire that could easily be seen, there was an area under the air conditioner that had been cut out maybe for repair and never repaired so there was tons of gross stuff in that open crevice which was hard to miss when laying on the bed.

    Literally had the worst check-in ever. And I get a hotel 1-2 times a month. The lady didn’t even greet me. The first thing she said was, “ID” then there was form I had to fill out and she didn’t even say anything. She just gave me the paper expecting for me to know what to fill out. THEN, my card was charged for the person next to me because their terminal wasn’t working. No one knew how to fix it so they didn’t put a hold on the other persons card. I don’t even want to go into detail about the rooms with no linens and slow elevator and overfilled trashcans that weren’t emptied. My best advice is not price-shop for hotels. I’d much rather paid twice the price.

    Location was great. All rooms are the beach. With a small balcony, no screen for the balcony though. Even though the roads are great, and it was a great location, the rooms are outdated. The hotel itself is pretty outdated. It does have a restaurant on site but the website states that it serves breakfast it does not you have to go to the whole to the restaurant or go out for breakfast. Staff was accommodating, but they never cleaned our room change sheets anything we had to ask for towels and that was a pain, but that’s all wasn’t too bad. It was reasonable for the amount.

I also felt like the rooms could have been cleaner & walls needed to be repainted especially in the bathroom also the wheelchair accessible rooms don’t have a flat surface at the balcony door making it difficult to get in & out of the balcony with a wheelchair I feel like if you pay for an accessible room the entire room should be accessible not just the bathroom. It was like they just stuck some material on each side that was supposed to help but it wasn’t the proper height so it didn’t help at all.

    The view of the ocean is priceless They only had one elevator working for eight floors. It was booked, so I took a long time to get up and down to the rooms. You had to go downstairs after checking in to get washcloths towels, hand towels bath mat because they were not in the room. There were ants in the room from cotton candy being behind the nightstand. Our TV only had only I e channel to watch. There was marijuana smell through out the entire hotel. It was all over the floors and in the elevator. They did. It disclose about the addition cost of parking of $13.50 a night for parking in their website platforms. The plaster in the bathrooms was peeling and coming of the ceiling. Bathroom sink had a patched crack in it. Walls needed cleaned or repainted where black marks were all over walls and doors. The staff had offered to move in into another room but we decided where our stuff was already in the room we would stay, they did come up and sprayed behind the night stand right away.

    The lady's at the front desk were super cool and professional and made my entire experience amazing. The room was kinda dirty and I didn't have towels or a old wash rag was still in the shower area. The room definitely needed to be cleaned better, there was old wash rags in the shower and the floor was dirty and seemed like they just rushed to clean it, didn't have the right amount of towels. But the lady's at the front desk were super respectful and down to earth and helpful.

The carpet in the room felt greasy and there were stains on the sheets. The shower was stopped up so we had to stand in ankle deep water to shower, while showering the first night the bathroom and foyer light just completely went out on me. There was no tray for the coffee pot so I couldn't make coffee. We didn't have any wash clothes and the soap was so small you couldn't even wash your hands with it. The wifi kept kicking me off so I had to repeatedly sign in and verify. The sliding glass door was incredibly hard to open and shut. There was even food left in the fridge from the last occupants. This was our honeymoon, I hate we had to pay so much for such a crappy place. I'll have to remember this for the rest of my life. At least Virginia Beach is beautiful.

    Would definitely not stay here again. The only thing this hotel has going for itself is the prime location on the boardwalk and steps from the beach. Pool doesn’t open until 10 am and checkout is at 11 am. Doesn’t really make sense.

    the view of the beach was very enjoyable; we were able to sit out on the balcony when we came back from the conference that evening. That gave us to meditate as we listen to the ocean.     The hotel is old and they is not invest money for the up keep… it reminds me of the projects.. carpet was super dirty.. the sheets on the bed had holes in it… they didn’t put any not one face cloth.. they gave me 2 hand towels and when I asked for wash cloth they only gave me one.. I asked for another one and they never brought it to the room. The water jug in the lobby looks like it cold but it like that because it’s water stain all the water was gone and it still look cloudy and cold that was discussing.. the elevator take for ever to go up and down.. I did like the ocean view. The chair on the balcony was old and rusted I don’t know where that got that chair from.. I was definitely looking for other hotels while I was there.. I would not stay there again

    They put us in a room where thw door didn't work our first night, then changed our room instead of one king bed we had two dbls. The next day a guest uses their key to get im our room bc it was assigned to them. The manager came up to ask my name so the room could be assigned to me. Everytime we left the room we needed a new room key bc it never worked. The blow-dryer blew up and started smoking. The soap smelt terrible. Fridge freezer didn't work. And our remote for the TV didn't work. By the way this was.my birthday weekend

    The room and hallways were in disrepair. There was a large area and set up for breakfast but no longer served which the reservation said there was breakfast included. The pool was gross and the water was freezing. The chairs were dirty and moldy and cement floor and area of pool are in need of maintenance and cleaning. The Mexican restaurant was a nice amenity but it took close to 45 minutes for our food. The room had stains on the carpet and bad wear and tear on the chair in the room. This was just a staycation as we live in Virginia Beach but it was not good!!

    Check the room before you get comfortable when you first arrive. The bathroom was dirty. The tub had old soap with hair on it from the previous person. The shower curtain was dirty. The floor near the AC unit was wet. It was leaking antifreeze. The bed had missing sheets. We had to contact the front desk to get housekeeping to come and clean the room again before we could unpack. We actually had to watch them clean the room. They did not offer another room to us. They had to give us back $50 of the money that we paid for the room.

    The hotel is outdated and run down. Absolutely dirty! The outlets in my room didnt work…all the lights were unplugged. The TV didnt work at all! The elevators went out multiple times and some ppl got stuck on it. The building smells like stale cigarettes. The 8th floor was excruciating HOT!! The Mexican Restaurant on site was the only thing good. Will NOT return.

    Breakfast was not available as advertised. Room was obviously not vacuumed or wiped down prior to our stay. Via text, I asked the front desk for vacuum and wipe down of surfaces and received no response, even though they just answered about no breakfast available. There was dried food and fingernail clippings on the floor, possibly blood on the walls, table tops and remote were sticky, microwave had fingerprints all over. Staff was rude when I asked about using a specific door to exit on the boardwalk side. Will not being staying here again and would not recommend in the future. I actually booked a room a the Hyatt next door because I did not want to sleep in a dirty room. No accommodations or apologies were offered even after providing photo evidence of filth.

    The rooms are very outdated , and dirty, and the establishment hasn’t been painted or renovated since never. There were marks on the walls and doors , and our door would not shut unless it was slammed. There were chips, gummy bears, and leaves on the floor next to the beds ( hidden by the bed skirts) and what appeared to be food on the wall near the fridge. The sliding glass door for the balcony would often jam & on the balcony we found cigarette buts. It had not been cleaned in forever - or so it seemed. Luckily my daughter and I spent minimal time in the room or hotel because of the event. Otherwise I would have immediately asked for a refund and found another hotel. The price I paid, I would have expected better. While the staff were friendly I would never ever stay here again.

    My brief stay was not a pleasant one and the property manager did nothing to make things right. We were stuck in the elevator for 20!minutes, the pool was freezing but she assured me it was 85 degree it was more like 60, no towels at the pool, the room stunk was filthy dirty with stains all over and sand in the sheet. The staff assured I would get a refund even gave me a receipt showing such but when Expedia called for approval the very rude unprofessional manager named Kayla denied my refund. So not happy with this hotel and I would not recommend it to anyone.

    I was hired by this company and upon my first day I was training and was advised not to change shower curtain and remake beds that looked clean enough I spoke with manager of housekeeping and let them know what staff was doing and she looked away and said nothing so I quit that day because I traveled with children they have no cleaning supplies to sanitize there rooms I advise any who stay here reclean your room and sanitize as I had to once I discovered how nasty they clean. The head of housekeeping should be fired.

    It smelled like weed constantly. Supposedly the rooms are no smoking but it doesn't seem enforced. The pool smelled weird and was not heated as claimed. We had toilet issues and room service is only available at request before 10:00 a.m. Some of the vending machines took money. I want to cancel the second night and try a different hotel but that was not possible due to policies.

    The location and view of both the ocean and boardwalk are ideal. The hotel is in need of updating... Overwhelming smell of marijuana, especially in the elevators. Disappointed the restaurant changed to Mexican. Also, did not open until 11:30. Breakfast, or just coffee, no longer available in the hotel. Outside pool was not available- was told not permitted to be open after Labor Day.

Outside pool was not available- was told not permitted to be open after Labor Day.

For price paid for a four day stay I was shocked at the dirty terrible condition it was in. I saw dirty rug and floors from lobby, elevator to my room. So, I stood in middle of the room and searched for a better hotel hoping their ratings were honest. Although I was not able to get a refund for my 4-days non-stay at Ramada Plaza by Wyndham even though I cancelled it on the spot got a receipt they still charged for each night, taxes fees. The hotel from hell even charged me $50.88 resort fees for a non-stay hotel room. Oh! Well, I still had a great time at the beach. I learned that hotel ratings, amenities and customer service are not always accurate as this hotel is not what I was expecting, but I understand that others may disagree. Looking forward to my next “vacay” as I love a great getaway!

    The other room the balcony has a hole that it was possible to see from 8th floor to the 7th floor balcony. The whole looks beautiful from outside to the lobby but behind that all the dirtiness starts. The elevators are gross. The bathtubs are dirty. The inside pool is decent.

    In all it was an ok place to stay. The facilities could use updating for sure. Our fridge was a warm cool if that makes sense, they still have the ac controls on the unit style and it blew cool air, the hallways feel like hell in the afternoon with the sun beating through those large windows, get some curtains! If I was returning soon I'd probably check another hotel out.

    The stay was ok did find roaches in our room. Could not be moved due to the hotel being full.     The hotel felt run down. We had 4 people in our room and no bath towels in the room on check in. We called the front desk for towels and they brought us bath mats and hand towels. There was also a dirty washcloth on the shower curtain rod when we got into the room.There was what appeared to be a few small spots of blood on the bottom edge of the bedspread of one of the beds.

    If there was ever a place in need of reinvestment and upgrades. I've never stayed in a Ramada or Best Western before because they just don't have a great reputation and if this is the expectation, I won't be there again. The room and hotel was just 'icky' and I didn't want to really touch anything, even the TV remote. The tub was stained so I made sure to wear my flipflops while showering. The place just felt old and unclean. The location was great but I wouldn't stay there again. Glad it was only one night...

    Not the best hotel I've stayed at but not the worst either. Hotel needs major updates and a coat of paint! The bathroom was not clean and the fridge didn't work (it was frozen over) the beds were clean and comfy. They need more cots for customers. They got me one as soon as they could but I slept 2 night's of our 4 night trip on the floor because the beds were not big enough for the amount of people. The front desk staff was excellent!!! They were so friendly and accommodating! The views were excellent!

    Our day was brief but wonderful. The front desk staff was excellent. Cannot say enough about them especially Anna answered all of my questions and we’re just super super nice. Those girls deserve a raise. Yes they do. The only thing I would have a complaint about would be the restaurant. Extremely high prices I mean eight dollars for a single taco and then if you wanted sour cream or salsa everything was extra so that’s the only complaint everything else was perfect.

    Parking garage was barely accessible for a ridgeline pickup truck and it was across the street. The cleanliness of the hallways and elevator was horrible as well as our room. It was already sand on the bathroom floor, tub hadn’t been cleaned, toilet was clean but the seat was broken on only hanging on by one clip, night table and phone was dirty and greasy as well as we had no towels. We paid more to stay here bc of the looks of room and bc it had 2 indoor pools. Upset that it did not have a pool and the rooms were filthy and broken down. Also it had no coffee maker, I had to pay 5.00 each morning for coffee from a local restaurant.

    When we returned, there was no parking available—not in the on-site lot or the overflow garage across the street. We circled for nearly an hour. Eventually, I got out to walk the garage while my girlfriend waited on-site. A staff member told her to park in the double lines (which is illegal), but then another staff member came out and threatened to have us towed. At that point, I had enough. We checked out around 9:30 p.m.—never even stayed the night. While checking out, another guest was also complaining about the parking situation. On my way home from the hotel, I was hit with an unauthorized $376 charge to my debit card—a card I only used for the 38 dollar resort fee. I’ve tried calling the hotel with no answer and had to open a dispute with my bank to recover those funds. It’s very unfortunate as I was looking forward to staying there, but I don’t like being threatened to have my car towed. Expedia was also no help, they only offered me key cash.

    Our stay was nice, and we had a fantastic time, but there were no towels in our room and after requesting them 3 times, I finally took some off the cleaning cart while it was parked outside a room that was being cleaned. The halls were incredibly hot, air conditioning wasn’t working, the ice machines only the one on the 7th floor worked, the washing machine and dryer were not working, there were only 2 pillows on a king size bed, no coffee condiments in the room, there were no luggage caddy’s to haul all your bags up to room on in one trip, and there was no parking you had to park across the road in a parking garage which was super inconvient. We made the best of our trip, but I probably won’t stay at this hotel again. Staff were also never available and couldn’t help with our issues like getting us towels to shower with. Was told to wait till the morning when housekeeping was available. I would probably make this my last resort when staying any longer than a day. This place was quite terrible and unaccommodating. Terrible to put it lightly, and the hall floors were filthy and the elevators were scary, wet outdated building

    The room was fine, but it was a little dirty. They barely gave us any linens or towels. They did not provide a coffee maker even after I called to report it. The water stopped working at one point (just temporary due to an apparent maintenance issue). Every time I called the front desk they sounded annoyed, and worst of all the check in process took like an hour and a half. To top it all off the indoor pool was closed which was unfortunate. Luckily there was an outdoor pool also. No complimentary coffee or breakfast, but there is a very nice restaurant attached to the hotel. It’s ocean front and affordable so I guess you get what you pay for.

    First, "no smoking" apparently doesnt include weed. Room reeked of pot, and it wasnt from outside. We have stayed oceanfront at VA beach before at other hotels, no pot issue. Dirty washcloth from previous guest left in shower. ONE towel. Shower had a weird multi directional shut off and fake temp control. Only two temperatures in shower - barely lukewarm and scalding hot. And it took 5 mins to get to scalding hot. Some how smaller than standar pillows (?¿?) on a king bed? Only bright spot was front desk lady was nice.

    The only good thing about this hotel was the beach! The first thing we noticed was there were no towels in the room! When we first got there my husband asked for towels and they said they would have someone bring them up which never happened we then tried again and was told that we could not have towels because we didn't ask before 10:00 a.m. it's pretty standard to have towels in a room the first night they should have been stocked in there when they clean the rooms but they obviously didn't clean the room because hairs were found on my pillow and they were not mine I was concerned after seeing the hairs that perhaps the sheets had not been changed ! This is a dirty hotel with many problems in the rooms including having to take the lid off of the bathroom tank so we could flush it ! Also Expedia told us that the total cost of our room was such and such an amount total cost when we got there to check in they charged us for a resort fee ! Sure it was close to the beach but so are a lot of other hotels! The price that we paid we could have gotten a cleaner nicer hotel don't stay here it's grimy and you really don't get any help if you need it!

    We’ve always stayed here for years for vacation and this will be the last time. I had a large party and 3 rooms and every single room was a disaster. Front clerk had attitude and tone when tell me I hadn’t paid for rooms in full and once she finally shut up I told her the last name and she had been looking at the wrong reservations. Dirty, dirty, dirty! No towels, and when he finally brought them up he gave us 2! We had 4 people in each room! Toilet issues and tub drainage issues in all 3 rooms! Microwave sounded like it going to explode. Peeling paint on all walls and ceilings above beds. The hallways were disgusting and had the same trash and mess laying there for 4 days. The elevators got stuck repeatedly on us. By far one of the worse hotels I’ve ever stayed at. And keep in mind I had 3 rooms that were all like this! And they send multiple text asking for tips for housekeeping! They sent text asking what time we checking out and a hour before hand banging on the door asking if we leaving at 10am when check out is 11. Many years we’ve stayed here and always looked forward to it and what a disappointment for our trip and the guests we brought. This hotel should be shut down!
