    This property is definitely older and could use a little face lift but for the location and price it was great. It is dog friendly as well. Parking spots are a bit small and tight. This is not a luxury room by any means but I don't go to a beach to stay in a room.

    Very nice crew definitely would help if someone was at desk that spoke better English I took my wife and her service dog online it said no fee one of the staff said no fee but I was still charge $60 to have her.

    For what I paid I should have had a microwave and refrigerator like it said I should have. Spoke to lady at desk and she said she would move us to another room but it would have two beds when we paid for a king. So we decided to stay in the kings size room but she said she would bring us ice for our drinks we were going to put in refrigerator but she never came to our room. Definitely would stay somewhere else next time.

    Easy to find on the beach. The room was clean but notice the windows needed cleaning. The staff was very helpful getting me settled. Parking was great big spaces. I would stay again.

    This was our first time staying at this hotel while attending a soccer tournament weekend. The location was perfect and very convenient for our stay. The hotel was undergoing renovations, which we completely understood. Despite that, the staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive to our needs throughout our visit. Whenever we needed assistance, they were quick to help. Overall, we had a pleasant experience and would consider staying here again

    Omg lady at office accommodated us with a few things. If something was messed up, she bust, her, butt to get it fixed, they're remodeling, so it isn't a 100%, but I give it 80%. I couldn't go to the pool. It wasn't a 100% plain and that was about it, but like I said, they're remodeling getting everything back together, it will be together soon.

    The front desk staff very friendly, the property is very old with very little or no up grades. The bath tub still had sand in it . No full size bath towel or hand wash cloth . The carpet was not vacuum and both the bed frames broken with metal pieces protruding out and my grand daughter got scratched from This peace. Thankful that we stayed out most of the day because the room was not suitable for relaxing in.

    Ocean front Room was dirty hair in shower dust and dirt on table and dresser was no tv remote air vents haven't been cleaned in years outside hallways full of trash. No wash cloths in the room and only one towel had to go get more and a plunger for the clogged toilet when I went down to front desk door was locked and no one was inside had to wait 20 mins to get towels and wash cloths. The place is old and needs lots and lots of upkeep paint is chipping doors dont shut right. 100% do not recommend

    I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt so the bad reviews weren’t an issue for me when booking. My mistake. The photos provided for this hotel is completely false advertising. I paid for the room in full, and still upon check-in I had to pay an additional fee? Literally paid $800 to stay in a room completely under construction. It was NOT clean. There was paint spills everywhere, toilet seat wasn’t even attached. Outlets did not even work. Bedding was literally like staying in a hospital. No trash can. Light fixture in the bathroom was busted up. I have pictures. Even the pool wasn’t well maintained. The only silver lining I could say is that it was close to the beach and other attractions.

    The view was great but they don’t have enough parking space the room was ok but the doors were not closing right the outside was not that clean the pool was not in condition to use I stay 2 days and they didn’t offer to clean the room or a set of new clean towels overall was very poor service and everything !!!!

    Room has been remodeled but tub was black at the bottom. Only one parking spot per room even tho we had two adults. Water went out for about 30min but they got it fixed. Ice machine didn’t work. Staff very friendly.

    We had to rig the cords on the tv every time we wanted to watch it. The room wasn’t clean, drywall dust everywhere, dust and dirt everywhere. The tub was black and you never knew if you’d have water because they would cut it off without warning. We had to park in front of the front door due to them not having enough parking spaces for the guest. The pool was filled with trash.     Most places we have stayed have had enough warm water but abysmal water pressure. The location is a block from one of our favorite places(Murphys) and only a 3 block walk to the Neptune Statue where there is a bandstand and live entertainment and Catch 31 for sri KS and outdoor fireplaces to sit around. I would stay here again.

The bed only had sheets on it, no comforter. The thing that was worst of all,was the bathroom. The top of the stool was cracked and the stool itself was more for a child, it set so low. The worst was the actual shower. Stained, discolored, brown stuff in the tub, probably rust, whole tub was puttied up. This is not a place for the elderly or disabled to stay. I understand it's pet friendly, however, they should be ashamed of how nasty the room looked. I was scared to even use the microwave, which was dirty. I took pictures of the whole room because this was just unacceptable. I paid over 190.00 for just 1 night to come down and enjoy my anniversary of 45 yrs of marriage and this is what I ended up getting. Thinking about calling the health department because this looks nothing like was advertised on-line. So upset and disappointed. Room #339. Janice Moore.

    I have stayed in countless hotels over the years and have never walked out of one before this. We were shown two different rooms before deciding to leave and book another hotel instead at a much higher last-minute rate. The room looked nothing like the listing photos. It was extremely dirty, worn and poorly maintained, but the real dealbreaker was the overpowering stale cigarette smell present in both rooms. It was so strong that we could not reasonably stay there. The property itself also appeared neglected, with trash/debris in common areas. The swimming pool was green, significantly low on water, and had actual trash floating in it. To the staff’s credit, they did attempt to show us another room after we complained, but it had the same issues. Management also acknowledged that the listing photos were very old . Also be aware that if you decide not to stay after arrival due to the condition of the property, obtaining a refund will be difficult because of the property's non-refundable policy. I had to spend hours fighting for just a partial resolution through Expedia. Read the newest reviews carefully and look closely at recent guest photos before booking.

    We were driving north from FL to PA and wanted to stay in VA Beach. Our arrival time would be around 7 PM and we’d leave by that time the next morning. Just wanted something easy and inexpensive and maybe a view of the ocean. This hotel, Ocean 27 seemed to fit the bill. But when we got there it was gross, with debris everywhere and construction stuff blocking walkways and entrances. We could barely get into the office. The exterior of the hotel was shabby and badly in need of improvement. Chipped paint, broken walkways, totally a bad look. We did not even check in. Told the desk person we were leaving. And even though it is non-refundable, I ask for a refund. This place should not be on Hotels.com. I have been a member for many years and this is the worst place I have ever seen. Please treat this long time member right and refund my money. Thank you.

    this is the absolute nastiest hotel I have seen in 40 years. the structure looks like a construction site with ripped up carpet, rusy nails and electrical trash in the stairs. The room had old and damaged furniture and parts of the ceiling paint were falling off. The flooring was sticky but at least the sheets were clean. The bathroom had mold and mildew everywhere. we were afraid to use the water and there is no way to shower if you care about not getting diseases. I have no idea how they could pass any inspections for health etc. It is a danger to your health and so gross. Do NOT be tempted by decent prices. This place is a dumpster fire

    The property has an ocean front view. The air conditioner was making loud noises, the smoke detector was beeping with a low batter (when taken to the front desk they said just to take the battery out), the water in the bath tub did not turn off all the way.

    The location was beautiful. The first room that was given to us was not clean. It ia non smoking hotel, but someone had smoked in the room and emptied their ashes all over the floor. There was trash beside and under the bed. I called the front desk and they switched me to a room that had no couch, it had a lawn chair in its place. It was dusty and looked as if it hadn't been used in quite some time. After settling down and getting ready for bed we noticed that this room had roaches. We killed atleast 5 or 6 Greman Roaches that night. I promised my self that if I made it through the night in that room I would never stay there again. When we got home we unpacked our things outside and threw everything into the washing machine in hot water. I would never recommend this hotel to any one else...ever!!!!!! DIsgusting!!!!

Blow dryer was rusty and sounded like a weed eater when it was turned on and debris blew out where it was supposed to be air. Not pet friendly when they charge $100 for a pet because they have to deep clean after the stay. That room has never been deep cleaned.

    The location was perfect. The carpet was dirty I mean I know the hotel is old and all you want but you can pass a good vacuum. In the shower the bathtub was black dirty I didn’t even took a shower there was mold in the ceiling. Also I have to move a night table because I was looking for an outlet to connect my phone and I founded a shirt that I didn’t touch and paper like napkins thrown on the floor you can tell there were already used napkins.

    The hotel room they put me in was dirty. The bed sheets were dirty, the bathroom tub was dirty with mold and mildew, the shower curtain was dirty with hair that wasn't mine all over it, the bathroom sink was stopped up, the floors had hair all over it like from an animal it wasn't vacuumed with food stuck to the carpet and spiders were all over the wall. The ocean view was perfect but when you open the door to the beach bugs will fly in like bees mosquitoes flies it was horrible no screen door just bugs in air. It was dust everywhere I was sneezing cuz of my allergies to dust the dust was visible mold and mildew where the air conditioner fan was there was no heat at night cuz it was cold cuz the temperature went down to 40 something degrees and it was cold and I called the front desk and they said they would send somebody but no one came.

    The hotel room they put me in was dirty. The bed sheets were dirty, the bathroom tub was dirty with mold and mildew, the shower curtain was dirty with hair that wasn't mine all over it, the bathroom sink was stopped up, the floors had hair all over it like from an animal it wasn't vacuumed with food stuck to the carpet and spiders were all over the wall. The ocean view was perfect but when you open the door to the beach bugs will fly in like bees mosquitoes flies it was horrible no screen door just bugs in air. It was dust everywhere I was sneezing cuz of my allergies to dust the dust was visible mold and mildew where the air conditioner fan was there was no heat at night cuz it was cold cuz the temperature went down to 40 something degrees and it was cold and I called the front desk and they said they would send somebody but no one came.

    Have stayed here in the past and wasn't expecting much but this time was totally unacceptable. The first room we got had a broken toilet with no water in it. The light inside the door was barely a flicker. The clerk moved us to the room next door and after a brief look around I took it. Only later did we see the broken and missing security lock on the door. And the remote that would not operate the TV. We used the buttons on the back for power. The fridge was so badly in need of defrosting that the top shelf was unusable. The stairwell light was burned out and dangerous after dark. The ice maker in the hallway was broken. When we asked for ice the guy told us to go to 7-Eleven! We stayed one night and the next day was the final straw with no air conditioning. The manager came and wanted to move us again. I asked for a refund which he refused as it was early afternoon. The morning was cool and we didn't need AC so didn't know it was broken. We checked out and lost our second night at the beach but I was so done with slumming. This place has had zero maintenance since the last time I stayed. And I would give it 0 stars if I could. If you're looking for anything more than just a roof over your head do not stay here.

    Upon entering my room, the lights didn't work in the foyer, the toilet didn't flush, the iron didn't work, the coffee maker was broken, the sink did not drain. There is trash throughout the property and the pool is not operation - actually an eyesore - green water, half full and broken lounge chairs strewn about. The location is amazing though - right on the beach

The toilet seat had terrible cracks on it and a piece on the top where you sit had missing plastic exposing the wood frame of the seat. To open the door to the room and the door to the balcony I had to use my shoulder and almost dislocated my shoulder opening the balcony door. Old doors with rust on them making it difficult to open.

    My room was very dirty, stuff all over the carpet and the tub was clogged. The toilet was messed up and you could only flush it if you put water in the back of the toilet yourself. Close to a lot of restaurants but I would recommend looking elsewhere.

    The location was very nice with a beach view and shops nearby, but unfortunately I experienced some issues during my stay. There was noticeable paint chipping in parts of the room, which made it feel less well-maintained. More concerning, there was a safety incident when someone attempted to climb onto the second-floor balcony of my room. Because of that, I decided not to stay the last two nights. It was a bit difficult at first to get a refund for the unused nights, but I did receive it later that evening. I appreciated that the refund was processed, but overall I felt uncomfortable and hope the property improves its safety and upkeep.

    Room had water on the floors. Toilet didn't flush, seat was coming off Toilet it self was not bolted to floor, soot on ceiling, paint peeling. Would not recommend it to my worst enemy . I have pictures of the room itself. The tub had rust stains . The bedding was damp. For what I paid for the night I could have stayed somewhere cheaper. I would like to be reimbursed . When I told the front desk about it, they just disregard me. Didn't even offer another room. I had to go get towels to wipe up wet floors. I will report to the better business bureau

    If all you're looking for is location and view, this was worth the low price range. Located right near the beach entrance and lots of fun activities nearby. Nice location to the beach, shopping, and entertainment. The toilet seat bolts were broken, one of the bed lamps did not work, the balcony door was very hard to open and shut, the phone was for looks, the in-room fridge/freezer, the freezer was bolted shut, no ice in the ice maker all weekend, there were 2 microwaves in our room, one did not work.

    It had a pronounced mold odor and was extensively infested with mold throughout, from the ceiling to the walls, the corners of the floors, and was extremely dusty. The pillows and sheets were soiled. The TV remote did not function properly. The shower head had a bag on it to hold it in place and the tub was somewhat dirty.

    Love your location, accommodations for dogs.....especially giving us a street level room where we can leave from the back door to go down to the beach and boardwalk. Only one thing.....no wi-fi.     The first night we encounter a roach crawling on the curtains. Reported to front desk and the woman barely knew what she could do to resolve this matter. Asked if there was some insect spray around and she found a can after about 5 minutes of searching. She, nor the the hotel bothered to follow up on this matter. Housekeeping was nonexistent unless you asked. And then they only replaced towels and emptied trash until you asked them multiple time. They use a leaf blower to sweep out rooms of sand and any other dirt on floor. This management was very non responsive and the night shift woman didn't know anything. No ice machine on facility and was told ice could be purchase at local 7-11 2.5 blocks away as I was told was across street. Piss poor service altogether !!!!

    The taxi comes off the interstate to the beach. The only direction to turn is to the left along Atlantic avenue to 27th street and there is Ocean 27. The taxi lets me off, I go inside through open doors of people exiting. There is a desk and chairs, but no one around. I wait and ask multiple tenants passing by. Their universal response was it was Sunday and no one works here on Sunday. In a period of about 2 hours I wrote 3 letters to Hotels.com and even now, and 7 plus days later, I still haven't recieved a response from Hotels.com. So what do I do, I get another hotel. I get a taxi and go a little farther north to a new hotel and check in and move in to my new hotel. But going there, what do I see, but a resturaunt and then another hotel named Ocean 27. After I check in to my new hotel, I walk back to the 2nd Ocean 27 and go in and see and talk to a man behind the desk. I explain the situation and ask if I have a reservation with him, he says yes and I tell him I tried to check in at the first address and couldn't and then he asks if I want to check in or cancel and I said I need to cancel Ocean 27. I still haven't straightened out this mess or the charges. They obviously know they have 2 addressed near each other both named Ocean 27 but they didn't inform me or answer any correspondence.

If your young and wanna save 40-80 dollars and still have an ocean view then this a solid option but if you have the money to upgrade. I really recommend doing so, a lot of people settle enough throughout their life and on vacation you should be allowed to splurge, if you are older.

Every time I needed the front desk, no one was there, door was locked and I had to call the main number. He charged me a resort fee???? This place isn’t a resort or a hotel. It’s a motel!!!! Never again. Total rip off

    Now the grit: We didn’t mind that it was older, or even a bit worn (you get what you pay for), but I did mind the uninvited guests (roaches) that came out after the lights went off, as well as the critters that decided to attack my wife (bed bugs maybe?). The faucet in the bathroom would not turn off, there was no shower curtain for the shower/tub, the tub itself was filthy, as was the toilet. We were going to look past that, again, until the unwanted guests. The deadbolt did not work on the patio door (we were on the ground level) and the a/c could not make the room cool. We left in the middle of the night to find somewhere we could sleep as there was no getting any there. We let the night clerk know (she was very apologetic and sweet), and asked if they had another room even, which they did not as the cleaning team did not show up the day we checked in (Sunday in July). Went back the next day to get a refund, manager would not refund any $$ as we had used the dirty toilet. We had to go through Expedia to get our second day canceled, but it was still only partially refunded. Management is in denial, they denied everything. Book here at your own risk. This place is an absolute toilet.

    We made a last minute reservation through Expedia and wasn’t sure what to expect. But when we got here, the check-in agent was very nice and kind. We got their last room and we were very overjoyed to find it was an oceanfront room! Our room was clean, neat, and very comfortable. The location of the hotel is great and right on the oceanfront. The outside of the hotel was, well, not impressionable, but the clean room and the check-in agent’s kindness has made our stay wonderful! The price was very reasonable too. 🙂. One thing to be aware of is that there is no elevator. I missed this when booking the room. But it was okay for us. I would stay here again.

My stay was cool until check out which I thought was 12pm, no it’s 11am sharp.     I drove almost two hours after I got off work saturday night just to get away for one night. Came to check into a room that had a busted air conditioner and a water leak from the a/c vent, they tried to put me in a another room with another water leak just because the a/c was working in that room, I requested to speak to a manager so they end up sending me another property that was 5 minutes down the street Ocean 24 I guess their partner property. They put me in a room with double beds and way smaller than what I paid for, and I had to walk almost two blocks for parking because they didnt have a parking lot on that property. Horrible experiance, this was my first time going throught this mess.

    You get what you pay for. Unfortunately I got a room where the shower curtains was stained terribly. It was so discolored at the bottom of the curtain I had to shower with the curtain open. The bed sheets were dirty. The vents where the air blows were filthy as if they have never wiped them before. I never received cleaning services for my room. Please bring your own cleaning supplies as I normally do when staying at any hotel because clearly from this stay, cleaning is not their priority. Just pay the extra $200-$300 to stay elsewhere. I’ve learned my lesson. Never ever again.

    The room was horrible when you first walk in you notice the paint peeling off the ceiling there are spider webs in all corners of the room and they have roaches the tv didn’t work Jas to call someone then I had to use 2 remotes the sink was backed up and the bathtub felt like it would cave in at any minute I would never stay here ever booked for 2 nights after the first night I checked out and found another hotel and they still charged my card for 2 nights and now I have to dispute the charge.     It had great beach access but the inside of the room was a different story. The refrigerator had mold in it due to be unplugged. The bed was hard as concrete. Room 115 is what room i was in. They never cleaned room after the 1st night nor did they put any towels or wash cloths for bathroom. Never found ice machine and they said they didnt have the free bicycles. Like i said the beach access was nice. Was it 1500 dollar nice 🤔 no it wasn't

    The only reason I wouldn’t say terrible is because of the ocean view. My room was in very poor condition. The toilet was broken, mirror cracked, moldy ceiling, mini fridge frozen over, bugs flying around all night, hair drier missing, used towels in the bathroom from previous guests, noisy location, and the bed was very uncomfortable. I left after only one night because I couldn’t stand to stay another night. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

    Upon arrival from the parking lot the hotels condions were poor. Rooms on the First Level have bugs bugs and more bugs. The insects were insane. Bedding was soiled. Couldn't stay a night in the facility

    Great location its an older motel but room was very clean and right on beach and boardwalk. Staff very friendly. But was disappointed at no breakfast, coffee only in room and no ice machine

    Who knows how long the sausage was left in the microwave, blood stain on my sheet and no toilet paper or towels? Did they even check the room?
