Our stay was ok. The bedsheet was stained and the pillows had a smell. The pool was nothing like the picture. The staff was great. Hemingway's food was great as well!

The only bad thing was the breakfast buffet. Everything was cold.

From checking in to checking out, we had a wonderful experience! The concierge at check in was extremely helpful and gave us excellent dinner recommendations. The room was spotless and had the most perfect view. The valet was super helpful to have considering there was limited parking available. The restaurant inside was delicious. We did not use the pool, but it was a good size and had tons of kids enjoying it both days. We have no complaints and will absolutely book here again when we come back to vacation! It’s also right in the middle of everything so we could easily walk to all of the shops and restaurants we wanted to visit!

Also there is a $18 fee for parking per day. Never heard of that in all the years of staying in VA beach. I had the breakfast buffet the next morning and it was good for the price and food was good also. We stayed on the 4th floor with a room overlooking the beach and it was a nice view. The hallway going to the room was a scorcher in direct sunlight. The staff was nice, but the parking is something. First time in my life having to pay extra to park at a hotel.

View was fantastic! Make sure you ask at check-in for breakfast vouchers. Parking is limited.

Crappy view and no decent chair in room. Food was all provided by Barry Bistro and seemed aimed at Mexican /latin American audience. Staff were a little snippy. switched to this Hilton a few years ago from LaQuinta next door, which now has been sold and rebranded as the Sand Rose, if we every return to island will probably look for alternatives. Island still has a nice small beach town vibe. Disappointed that our favorite restaurant Pier 19 burned down. This was our fourth and last stay here,

This was our 3rd time staying at the property. The experience is always amazing. The staff are very friendly. Hemingway's is the absolute best. Everything I have tried on the menu was so good. Highly recommend.

We stayed a full week and the breakfast was your typical eggs, sausage and bacon but the pastries were often very stale. Our stay was worth the price for an oceanfront property. The parking was tricky on the weekends but I will assume most properties on the strip are the same. Great location easy to walk for just about anything you want, shopping, food and entertainment

The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel was well kept. The only issue we had was at check-in at 4:30 our room still was not ready so it was 5 before we were able to go to our room.

The seaside balcony was lovely even during the winter. And the attached restaurant was nice to have close by.

Was booked into a handicap accessible room (not requested) which had no chair or sofa in the room. Was informed that was standard which I found to be unusual. Staff was friendly most especially the valet who made great restaurant recommendations. Thanks

Staff very friendly and overall very clean. The shower pressure and temperature was an issue - no pressure and it got lukewarm at best. Taking a shower felt like the moment you step out of the shower and its cold.

Everyone at the Hemingway was amazing, attentive, courteous and accommodating. Room was relatively clean. But like another IHG property. I got hot water the first night and some what lukewarm the next morning and then the second night and third morning the water was barely lukewarm. At another location the same exact thing happened. Had maintenance check it out and nothing changed . Annoying when I had to be up and leave before 630am and you had one good shower out of 4 . Also parking rules changed. They were kind to honor what the third party had incorrect upon booking. Appreciated it . Noise control was awful. Last night had to be up at 445-5 and kids were up and about till 11 pm without chaperones. Even after security tried to address it, it was an issue

One thing that stood out was seeing a rat outside the back door near the beach bar area, which was concerning. I also saw a rabbit in the bushes, which I thought was unusual for a beachfront property. Parking became very congested once the weekend crowd arrived, which made it a bit frustrating coming and going. Overall, the location is the biggest plus, but the property and amenities could definitely use some improvement.

The room was clean, and the view was amazing. The staff went out of their way to celebrate my husband and I getting married while there. We came back from our dinner after the ceremony to champagne and cheesecake in the room! So sweet and appreciated! Definitely will be returning! Great hotel!

Hotel was very nice and the breakfast and bar were great. Only issue was they did not clean our room so it smelled like chicken for three days, we received a notice under the door and went to the front desk before 9am and was told it would be cleaned, it was not.

The Beach view was beautiful. couldn't sleep late though as all the noise from the landscapers. Blankets were stained in a few places and the curtains also. carpets in the room were kinds of dirty, walking around in socked feet was a bad Idea. they got dirty. Other than that everything else was great.

I go to Virginia Beach yearly just after Labor Day and this is the second time I have stayed here. I had another family member join me this time as well and neither I or my family member were disappointed. Staff is incredibly friendly and super helpful with anything that you might need. Unfortunately, our trip was plagued by severe weather, which kept us indoors most of the week, but the staff was very friendly, and the rooms were comfortable to relax in and watch the fierce waves as a storm rolled in and out. The restaurant with it excellent morning buffet every day as well as it’s fantastic menu throughout the day and into evening Dinner was such a convenience, considering this weather. The location of this Holiday Inn is so convenient to everything that even with the pouring rain we were able to make it across the street to some shops and stores to get our required yearly knickknacks Inn Va Beach gear. 😁 I will definitely be back again next year and I might be able to talk even more family members into staying here with us.

Overall a good place to stay. We had a large spacious room, but the bathroom was tiny. The bathroom commode tilted every time it was sat on. Other than that, it was fine, and I would stay there again.

Valet staff excellent. Desk staff etc were horrible. They gave a handicapped room except it wasn’t and the halls were lined with dirty sheet and blanket carts which wouldn’t allow a wheelchair through. Talked to a manager twice. Nothing done. Emailed corporate with pictures and it was suddenly moved.

Had a wonderful stay with a short ride to see James Taylor at the Veterans Stadium.

I like the location on 21st. Street which is the center of the Atlantic avenue. Close to everything. The Hotel is fabulous has no complaints. The staf was great and the hotel is supper clean. Reception is welcoming…

Love the ocean view from the 10th Floor and the location of this hotel. Parking can be a challenge; however, they do offer valet parking.

Property was average. Nothing “special”. It was conveniently located for the most part and it was nice to be able to walk out the back right on to the beach. Room was basically clean and did have an ocean view (as they all did on the strip of hotels it seems). No real perks but decent enough.

The staff were extremely nice, helpful, and made my family feel welcome. Awesome place.

This hotel was great the staff were super friendly and helpful. The only problem we had were the people in the room beside us blaring a stereo. We called the front desk at 11:10pm. 11pm is when the sound restriction at the hotel starts and they sent security straight up. It was quiet enough to sleep by 11:15pm this was the best stay i have had a Va. Beach and i have been coming here and staying in different hotels for more than 10 years

The view from the room and convenience was excellent. The hotel offers kids eat free for all meals as well which was wonderful. The room was smaller than expected and the water pressure in the shower left much to be desired. Room was clean enough. All employees were friendly and helpful. The poor was smaller than it looked in the photos. It was clean and never crowded. The food at Hemingway's was very good and the staff were wonderful.

The door was not working half the time we were there. We had to get three sets of keys made and had to haul a whole a wagon full of toys and a toddler up and down the elevator just to get in our room.

not enough parking in front of building

Missed check in and they wouldn’t let me complete my stay and gave my room to someone else.

Hemingway was great, staff incredible

The staff was attentive, but didn’t understand our speaking, therefore questions were hard to ask & get answered.

I like it. The service is very good.

The property was great for the price paid. The only issue is parking on the property but they made up for it providing space close to the property.

Beachfront

As a guest i had limited to no parking unless i paid the Valet to park my vehicle which was not thru the property. Staff was horrible. Definitely wasn’t worth the money I paid to enjoy my wknd stay

Great and friendly staff

This was my secon time at this property......Loved it, again! This time we had the included breakfast. It was great. Definitely would go back.

Everything was great except parking for hotel risky crossing intersection to get to hotel they did have valet which was good but it was not easy getting to parking lot due to heavy traffic.

The room was comfortable

Great hotel right on the beach with indoor pool. Breakfast buffet was delicious and rooms were clean with beautiful beach view. Definitely recommend. Great room service as well.

My experience was awesome

Nice location if you want to be in the center/busy section of the strip. The room was not properly cleaned. I saw housekeeping working hard…not sure if they are understaffed? Hair on the bedspread, tissue under the sink. Hotel outdated. Air conditioning unit constantly leaked onto the balcony leaving a large puddle. Balcony above our room also dripped…needless to say, we weren’t able to enjoy the balcony. Television didn’t work properly.

I like the location. The room itself was nice and fairly modern. Challenges with clean bedding on arrival and the breakfast buffet was cold.

We enjoyed our long weekend at the Holiday Inn Oceanside hotel. Staff, amenities & especially the location were the best. Only small issue was one elevator was broken intermittently, so we had to use the stairs on a few occasions. 9th floor is a hike on a hot day. Otherwise, very happy and we would return again! Thank you!

The room and entire property were incredibly clean, which made the stay all the more comfortable. Another huge plus — kids eat free at the hotel’s on-site restaurant! That made meals super convenient and budget-friendly for families. Between the outstanding customer service, spotless environment, and family-friendly perks, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Virginia Beach. I’ll definitely be staying here again!

Very nice clean hotel and pleasant staff

I really don’t want to give a good review because I don’t want it booking up and then I can’t get a room next summer! Great hotel! One elevator broke, so that was the only negative.

Center of boardwalk. Good restaurant. Nice rooms. Pleasant staff. Would like to come back.

Staff was pleasant and helpful. Checkin was quick. Boardwalk and ocean right outside of hotel.

Comfortable beds, housekeeping didn’t make bed, need more elevators for such a large hotel. Overall it was nice.
