Guests generally have a positive experience at this hotel, praising its cleanliness, quietness, and proximity to the beach. The staff is often described as friendly and helpful. However, some guests have issues with hidden fees, particularly for parking and breakfast, and some find the service at the restaurant and bar to be lacking.

1- Room housekeeping was non-existent (Had to request and poorly done). 2- Way too many (none over 40 Lb your rule) dogs in elevators 3-Entry door was difficult to open/close (reported to staff, not addressed). 4- Parking space width is extremely narrow for any size vehicle !!!!! Pro: 1- Location is terrific 2- Expedia pricing is competitive 3- Rooms are spacious

The hotel was clean, beautiful and had a great access point to the beach. The pool area was gorgeous as well. We loved all of the amenities. We’d stay here again if we are ever back in Virginia Beach.

The hotel is okay, not good, not terrible. The rooms are quite large, I believe every room is a suite, at least everyone I have been in. Even though I have twice requested a room with a king size bed I have only been given rooms with 2 queen beds. The rooms can sleep 6, two each in the two queen beds and then a fold out couch. The rooms also come with a microwave and small refrigerator. The rooms are comfortable, at least for me. The beds and bedding are nice, clean and comfortable. There are two TVs in each room. The hotel seems to struggle with anything having to do with customer service. My first stay the lock on the door was broken and necessitated a room change. When I reminded them I had reserved a room with a king bed they apologized and said the new room had a king bed. It did not. This week the microwave in the room was broken and it took three phone calls and about 8 hours of waiting for that to be replaced. The a/c in the room also wasn't working, but leaving the door open to the outside solved that issue. I will continue to stay here for the duration of my project ... mostly because it is within walking distance, but I do find it a comfortable place to stay. As long as there are no further maintenance issues.
- 3/5
The only downside was the temperature in the room. Despite setting the AC to its lowest setting, temperatures reached 78–80°F during the day and remained around 75–78°F at night. Because the room was often uncomfortable, we ended up spending more time in the common areas. Fortunately, those spaces were lovely, and the staff throughout the property were consistently warm, welcoming, and attentive. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would gladly return if the cooling issue were addressed. The exceptional staff and beautiful property made for a memorable experience.

Could have been cleaner, bathroom floors, elevators. People smoking on balconys
- 3/5
Nice room. Lacked parking, pool service. The elevators were incredibly slow. Not worth the cost.
- 4/5
The beach access and waterfront location were definitely highlights, making it a great place to unwind and enjoy Virginia Beach. Overall, I was very impressed with the property and would gladly stay here again. My only suggestion for improvement would be the elevator situation. During busy times, the wait for elevators could be quite long, and an update or expansion of the elevator system would greatly enhance the guest experience. Aside from that, everything else was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the future!

The positives were that the room rate was reasonably priced during my stay, and the hotel offers plenty of parking. However, I was surprised by the additional parking fee. One of my biggest concerns was the location. The hotel’s marketing gave me the impression that it was located on the Virginia Beach strip, but it is actually about 15 minutes away. The view also lacked privacy, as my balcony overlooked a residential neighborhood and I could see directly into nearby homes. The hotel itself felt dated and unclean. The hallways, carpets, and room had a noticeable odor, and the overall appearance seemed dingy and in need of deep cleaning and maintenance. Within about 20 minutes of checking into my room, the toilet backed up and became unusable. While maintenance eventually arrived and fixed the issue, it took longer than expected. The experience was uncomfortable enough that I chose not to stay the night. When I returned the next morning to formally check out, I was still charged for the entire night despite not remaining in the room.

The communication with the Manager was horrible. He was extremely rude and did had no regard for our convenience. I was traveling with my pet and was told I had to pay $150 upfront which was not listed in the advertisement. The entire place and experience. It was absolutely horrendous.

I liked that this hotel is modern, and on a private beach away from the boardwalk. The beds are uncomfortable, and I noticed mold in the room.
- 3/5
Staff was friendly and helpful as well, but seemed like their hands were tied on some operational issues. Again, terrible weather so it would have been nice is advertised heated pool was functioning. Went to desk to see about purchasing soap and getting quarters for laundry machines (took quarters only) and they were out of both. Service at the restaurant left a lot to be desired and to food was just meh. Also kid of crazy that the two elevator in the main lobby operate on separate call buttons. This leads to guests on every floor calling both cars, leading to longer than necessary wait times. Should be one call panel for both cars.

But trying to get service or communicate concerns was very hard. There's ni way to reach the front desk..even on the in room phones. It would ring and then hang up but when I went downstairs it was niy crowded or busy. They overcharged me for both valet and self parking on my first day and ive called multiple times trying to reach someone to help me but it would ring..put me in a queue for several minutes and then it would pick up and disconnect the call. While I was there I asked for my car qnd then waited outside for over 10 minutes without seeing my valet. When I went inside he apologized saying his phone had died so he did not see my request. He hastily went to retrieve my vehicle but 6his was just another frustrating thing to manage. The mini refrigerator had a plate screwed in that kept you from putting anything inside other than a bottle of water so my leftovers could not be refrigerated.. But outside of that it was a beautiful time away. If someone from corporate or the hotel sees this please reach out so I can resolve this charge

The room was filthy. Despite the claim of an ocean view, you’d see a parking lot, the backs of people’s houses . There were also numerous flying bugs on the balcony. To make matters worse, I had to switch rooms three times for various reasons, and each time was equally unpleasant. I asked for a full refund without any support from management to ensure that I was treated fairly definitely won’t be returning back to this establishment.

Let’s start with the billing adventure. I was told only a $150 deposit would be charged to my card. Simple enough, right? Except I was also staring at an $820 charge for three nights I had already paid for. When I brought this up, the front desk assured me everything was fine. Plot twist: it was not fine. It took one genuinely determined young woman to actually dig in and find the issue. She deserves a raise. The others deserve a refresher course. Then there were the outlets. All of the bedroom outlets were completely dead on arrival — great news if you enjoy living off the grid, less great if you need to charge literally anything. Engineering came up, took one look at the situation, and explained that fixing it would require disassembling the headboard and the TV frame. We all smiled, nodded, and mutually agreed that wasn’t happening. Something tells me I was not the first guest to report this, nor will I be the last. The hotel itself is clean and perfectly typical — no complaints there. But between the phantom charges and the decorative outlets, this stay had some personality.

Excellent, courteous and professional staff. Well maintained facilities. Wonderful quiet rooms. Large screen television. Charging an additional $30+ for parking when this should be included in the room rental costs. Available free news channels on the televisions included CNN, FOX news, but not MS NOW. Why not? For this reason my overall stay rating was good in lieu of excellent.

I've never before been at a hotel where it's so difficult to get the room cleaned. Had to ask multiple times before ours was. The hotel's knowledge about whether their so-called accessible rooms had walk-in showers was poor. Their systems obviously did not have accurate information and my wife and I ended up in 3 different rooms in 24 hours while this was resolved. Beware the addition of an extra charge for parking! I only noticed because I checked the bill and pointed out we did not have a car. Not a hotel I would return to.

The dining area had a fantastic view of the beach. TV was live network TV. Could not watch my regular shows. 2nd elevator was out of order. Parking was an added charge. Fridge was too small.

I would never use Hotels.com again. Total rip off. We booked our stay in March 2026 and were suppose to be able to add insurance to our purchase until Sunday right after booking and when we went back in the Friday prior to add, it would not allow us. We ended up having to cancel our trip and they told us they would refund if the hotel said yes, I called the hotel, especially being a Member and they said they would refund us given our situation if hotels.com reached out. Hotels.com said they did reach out to the hotel and then came back with NO refund. Someone else said they don't even warrant their insurance anyways. Never again.

I stayed here during a snowstorm, which unfortunately highlighted a few issues during my stay. The biggest concern was the temperature while the living area was warm, the bedroom was freezing the entire time. The bedding didn’t help much either, as the comforters were very thin and definitely need to be upgraded. Service was also disappointing. I called the front desk to request water and was left on hold for about 10 minutes, then told someone would bring it up. After waiting over an hour with no follow-up, I called back but couldn’t get through just kept being placed on hold. I eventually went downstairs myself, where I was told they were short-staffed and waiting for someone to come in. I completely understand being understaffed, but that should have been communicated upfront instead of the lack of response. On my final day, a main pipe burst, and there was water everywhere. I didn’t feel like the situation was handled well, and I ended up having to follow up after I returned home. That said, there are positives. The location is great right on the beach and the restaurant on-site was really good with great staff, which stood out. Overall, I’d give this place 3 stars mainly because of the location and beachfront. With better maintenance, communication, and attention to guest comfort, this could be a much better experience.

Drove 12 hours to finally reach this hotel. Was told after calling 3 times to let them know I would be late arrival, finally arrived and they gave my room away…turned away… singled out intentionally, trip had been paid in full, I will never stay at another Marriott!!!!

The convenience of having multiple shopping and dining options very close by The room we requested and booked in advance wasn't available upon arrival. Room we were eventually received was dated. A few bugs within our room. Restroom inside room was very tiny. Was told we wouldn't be charged for on-site parking due to room inconvenience, yet we were still charged.

The rooms were fairly priced and the property overall was very nice. I loved the amenities (restaurant, pool, fitness center, and beach access). The staff was always polite and prompt. I would have liked to see the ocean from my window, but according to my husband, the view from the balcony was nice! I couldn't confirm because I don't like high balconies. The only downside to this property was the elevators; they are scary - the noise, the shaking, the uncleanliness.

There was no hot water. The hotel knew when I was checking in that there was no hot water and they didn’t share that. I came down two hours later and asked for a different room. I planned a weekend trip for my wife’s birthday. When I got to the area I checked with the Front Desk (Elle) and she stated that she saw I booked thru a 3rd party (Expedia) and my room is already paid for. So all she would need is $150 for the incidentals. But when we went to do the charge the screen says that “your card will be charged for the room and the incidentals.” When I questioned her about it she kept giving me vague answers. Then she said the room will likely be ready at 3:30 PM. So I suggested that we whole off from doing the deposit for the incidentals My wife and I left to go get something to eat. When we left it was 2:37 PM and when we got back it was 3:54 PM. I asked Elle was the room ready ? And she told me not yet, I asked her for a ETA and she said the room will be ready in about 20 minutes maybe, but she can’t say for sure. So I asked her to call the housekeeping manager to see when will a room be available? I left the hotel again and then came back almost an hour later and the room still not ready. We finally got into a room and then they tried to give me any old room. But I told them that I paid for a room with a view and that is what I want. Elle, did get it corrected and she apologize for the long wait. Then when we checked into the room the door would not lock and the shower knob didn’t work. The bed was comfortable and the restaurant food was really good. We checked out 4-5 hours later in the same night. The gentleman at the front desk was polite.

I had a small parking issue where when I arrived I parked in front lot and after going out and returning in the dark front lot was full and I found the signage was lacking for alternate garage parking. I parked in the wrong place and found note on car with risk of being towed. Thankfully everything worked out. Lastly, not hotels fault, but there were a bunch of underage teenage girls running through the halls, stairwells and playing in elevators unsupervised until about 9pm. If it had continued later I would have called the front desk. Otherwise a very good stay.

The rooms were large, clean and spacious. The staff was attentive, courteous and professional. My only complaints are the poor bathroom lighting, and the slow elevators. Also, room service was good the calamari, fish & chips and smashburgers were delicious. More over, I would recommend this hotel.

The room was very clean, and we had the top floor suite. The view was great also but what stood out to us the most was the staff. Everywhere we went, ALL the staff was so over courteous to us. I did not like to have to pay to park I think this is another way that businesses are soaking customers for more money. With what we paid for that room, the parking should have most definitely been included. $30.00 a night to park is over the top. We only stayed there because my wife's company party was there. If not for that, we would have shopped around for a place that does not charge for parking. What are you paying for anyway? They take no responsibility for your vehicle, so what do you get out of a $60.00 charge on top of your other fees they are charging?

I had booked a room with an ocean view, and only the next day I realized I’d been given a room with just a partial view. I checked in late and didn’t really have the energy to ask for a change, but if I had noticed earlier, I probably would have requested the correct room. One thing that was important to me: the hotel returned my deposit without any issues, and there were no unexpected charges beyond what was originally stated. Overall, I had a good stay. The location was the main reason I chose this hotel—walking distance to the National Park, a quiet atmosphere, and easy access to the beach right from the property. During my five-night stay, everything worked as expected, and there were no unpleasant surprises. It’s not a new hotel, but everything functioned as advertised, and my stay was comfortable.

PARKING COSTS $30/day ($31.80 with tax) which is outrageous!! Other than that, we had a partial Bay view which meant walking out on the balcony to see water. The room was spacious and clean, the beds were very comfortable. It looked like a dog might have been locked in the bathroom at some point given the scartch marks. The shampoo/conditioner, body wash is nice (and I'm super picky). We enjoyed the daily texts announcing the happy hour theme of the day. If it weren't for the cost of parking (that everyone around us was complaining about as well) I would definitely return.

Staff were not all on the same page. Was mistold about the breakfast options and sunbeds for the beach.
- 3/5
Due to the lack of eateries at walking distance we decided to give breakfast a try. Lots of sugary items, waffles, cookies, muffins and serial, berry buffet looked nice but blackberries tasted like soil. The oats was under two inches of water so didn’t try it out. No fresh bread only store bought like the waffles (at least less sugary). The bacon seemed promising but had a stale, dish rag aftertaste so that was abandoned quickly. Such a shame considering how pretty the patio view is. To see the dolphins playing in bay made the stay worthwhile as there’s plenty of decent eateries a short drive away.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at, really good service, and beautiful views, pool area is a great spot to spend time throughout the day in the summer time.

- 4/5
The staff was very friendly, beach access was wonderful. The whole peninsula lost power, which of course I don't blame anyone for, but I thought they would have had a generator hooked up for everything instead of just emergency lights in the hallways ONLY. The restaurant in the hotel was extremely over priced. Our room lacked a few things and they attempted to make it right but didn't follow through all the way. I think it was just our luck since there was so much chaos from losing power for so many hours, though, but who knows. I did appreciate the gesture however.. The place was mostly clean but the balconies could really use some revamping. As well as the poolside furniture was quite gross and stained. There were some stains or some sort of sauce (or possibly blood as it was red) on 2 walls on opposite sides of the room, splattered across the wall, pretty noticeable and wasn't cleaned during housekeeping either. Also, the kitchenette, beware, its LACKING to say the least... Overall, it wasn't the best, it wasn't the worst, but gosh we still spent a lot per night. And also beware: they don't tell you that you have to pay for parking and when you do, they also don't tell you that its per day!
- 4/5
Clean room
- 4/5
Great location and well staffed hotel. If I had complaints they would be that the concrete balcony had considerable deterioration and the additional parking fee, which I feel is excessive.
- 1/5
I was checked into a dirty/used room. Next room unable to walk distance because of my ( known) handicap. COPD & back issues. Restaurant was very un- attentive. It was a waste of my Monday and Tuesday.. cost me more to make other arrangements. Very unhappy. I'll never recommend if come back.
- 1/5
The stay was mediocre at best….. Rooms ac was not working fully, elevators took 5mins each ride in wait times, the room I booked was given away so was put in a different room than what I paid for… zero carts for luggage anywhere other than valet parking and got scolded because I took one of theres beyond rudeness for the staff outside… knowing I booked 6 guest you would think there would be extra blankets and pillows for the pull out couch but you guessed it nope.. took my kids to the pool at 7pm had to ask 4 times for the staff to refill the towels at the pool but yet still didn’t happen… the only plus side to this was the front counter staff was the most friendly! Definitely was not worth what I paid for
- 3/5
Unable to get beach view as previous. Made a difference since we were celebrating our 53rd Anniversary.
- 2/5
Housekeeping open the door and don’t knock the door! And ask me you have to leave now??
- 2/5
The new room also had a smell, but not as powerful and different. Unfortunately anything cotton retained the terrible smell from the old room. That includes clothes in bags that weren’t opened. Next on my agenda was doing laundry on site. I ended up buying Febreeze and plug in air fresheners to make the new room stay-able. Other issues: there was constantly house keeping on the floor all day long. One of the elevators would stop going to the floor you requested mid ride and the other two required you to press the button for both or only one would come. Positives: the space in the suites was great. The beds, couches, etc were very nice. The view is great. The staff was nice.
- 5/5
Great customer service!!
- 2/5
We stayed one night. We came in late- we arrived at 12:30 am to get checked in. There was a long line in the lobby. There were 6 guests ahead of me checking in. It took 45 minutes to check in. We didn’t get into our room until almost 1:30 am: once we got to our room we found it unclean. I went back downstairs to let her know. She was quick to place us into another room thankfully. They upgraded our room. Once we got into the second room we found that the balcony didn’t lock or latch fully. We also found other damages in the room. It was well past 2:30 am before we’re able to get in and to bed. The stay was average. It shouldn’t take so long to check when we have already paid in advanced and communicated that we would be there after midnight.
- 5/5
Beach access, clean room, amazing views
- 5/5
One of the best hotels in VA
- 5/5
It was beautiful and quick to register and check out. The only negative was that Expedia did not disclise the fact that we'd have to pay $30 per day for parking. If they did, ot wasn't clear enough for me to notice.
- 3/5
It was things left behind from old guest under living room dresser. Trash left in sofa from old guest Not cleaned by housekeeping. I called to ask for early check-in the guy was very friendly and helpful and Boom. We arrive to the hotel with two small kids Only to get told the room wasn't Ready. No one put us down for early check-in and we needed to pay 80 bucks which was Never discussed over the phone. Valvet took their sweet time getting us settled also. The room size, the building was beautiful and view. The restaurant fries was extra salty. The oysters, drinks, and sliders was amazing and our bartender. Housekeeping came knocking at 10 when checkout was at 11
- 3/5
Hotel was nice, and hospitality was great. However, the cleanliness of the room could have been better. The microwave area had crumbs on the shelf. There were food stains in the carpet in front of the microwave as well. The trash can had no bag in it when we came in. There was also trash already in the bottom of the can. The hostesses as well as the staff were very pleasant and polite. Pleasant environment with a great view.
- 2/5
Front desk staff left little to be desired! The man at the front desk had the customer service skills of a 2x4. Over all, stay was fabulous. Comfy bed, great shower. Kinda thin walls, kids screaming at midnight.
- 4/5
Nice place, unfortunately the check-in was a nightmare, front desk employees were very slow taking care of guests.
- 4/5
Check in was a long wait as there were a lot of people checking in at the same time. The room was clean and well furnished but the lighting was very poor. Used my cell phone light to operate the microwave and TV because the lights were so dim. I also think $30 per day for parking is excessive.
- 4/5
I really enjoyed my stay this past weekend, however I did have some trouble reaching the front desk of the hotel. The phone rung several times and I called back until I got someone. I was having a muscle spasm and I was trying to get the restaurant to get me some pickle juice. They finally answered and transferred me to the restaurant, but when the phone rang it just cut me off. So I didn’t call back and I just delt with the pain until it stopped. Other than that I didn’t have any issues.
- 5/5
Room was clean and comfortable, staff very helpful and nice, great view from balcony.Great place to stay other than the parking.
- 5/5
Great hotel. Won't be disappointed
- 3/5
The staff was great, we were traveling with family from ohio and we were able to get checked in early. Pet friendly, which is amazing. Overall great hemisphere. My only issue was I left behind my personalized Stanley in the room while switching rooms and when I went back to get it, I was told by housekeeping that it was thrown in the trash because it was not considered a “valuable” Im pretty upset about that, since I couldn’t get it back. Just wish they would have actually took it to lost & found like the front desk thought it would be, definitely a valuable to me. Housekeeping management never got back to me.
- 5/5
Everything was great.
- 4/5
Check in took too long and we tried to do it earlier to avoid but front desk wanted to charge early check in.
- 3/5
My wife and I decided to celebrate our Anniversary at Delta Hotel Virginia Beach. When we arrived on Sept 1 around 6pm, the two ladies at the front desk were excellent. The welcoming made me feel important. Now, one thing that I didn't agree with is the $30 a day parking fee for customers staying at your hotel. I have never had to pay for parking at any hotel. In my opinion, it's an additional money grabber the hotel is making from customers. After parking and entering our hotel room, everything seemed ok. The carpet had a mildew odor and needed to be cleaned. We looked in the bathroom and the toilet room floor was dirty. The ceiling was repaired but looked bad. The repair was a quick patch job. The sliding door rail had rust on it. We left out of the bathroom and looked at the bedroom. Again, the carpet smelled horrible. The return vent to the air conditioner had a build-up of dust on it. I have sinus issues, and this room wasn't pleasing me at all. I tried not to make our Anniversary unpleasant, so I didn't say much about the room to my wife but had some regrets staying at Delta. These complaints can be fixed! I don't blame the employees because employees will only do what is allowed. The blame is on MANAGEMENT. If management did spot checks on employees, these things would not happen. Dry cleaning carpet with odor neutralizer, scrubbing floors, wiping air conditioner vents, and having a good maintenance crew, I wouldn't be writing this survey. Overall, average rating.

We loved our suite and our stay here. The pool could have been bigger but it was still clean and nice to sit by the pool. Also we loved the fact they had beach access and beautiful views of the chesapeake bay bridge!

Quuietttt. Hate parking
- 4/5
Great location with beautiful views of the bay. Nice selection of nearby restaurants nearby. So so experience with food and beverage. Room cleaning also lacking. Overall good but not great
- 3/5
BEAUTIFUL beach. Best beach spot in Virginia Beach. However, the quality of service in this hotel seriously declined. I’ve been coming here for years, and this year was significantly worse than ever before. The cleanliness in the rooms is substandard, the lines at the front desk are excessive. It took 2 to 3 hours to get bedding sent to the room each time I’ve requested (3 times over 2 trips this month). I visited twice this month because the beach is so beautiful, but I’m not sure I’ll be going back next year because the service quality has diminished so much. Time to look around.

Do not go by the pictures on their website because that is not the type of room you will get. I paid for an ocean view two bedroom, suite and from my window I could see parking lot and condominiums. The customer service staff was great, but the rooms are not that good. If you’re looking for a oceanfront beach resort, please don’t consider Delta Hotel.

- 3/5
It was a nice place. My biggest suggestions would be to add an adult only pool, and place a trash can in the living room area with the coffee maker & fridge.
- 2/5
We thought we were going to have the 5 star experience considering the 5 star cost of this hotel. Immediately upon arriving, we were clearly confused on wear to park and instead of being helpful and directing us, the valet told us we needed to move out of the way of his entrance cause he had cars coming in. Then when we get to our room, we were expecting to have an ocean view, instead we got to look at the back of some condos. Then, to top it off, my husband pulled out the sofa bed and there was a big pee stain on it. Also, I woke up to another charge on my credit card from the hotel that I was not made aware that I would get as an apparent, “just in case an incident happens” hold. We will absolutely not be staying at Delta hotels again.
- 4/5
The hotel was beautiful and the room was amazing! The menu never changed at hotel which was a little disappointing if you are staying for several days. Needs more pool room for more people to get a lounge chair. There was a rather big bug in our room and it was late approx 11:45pm and I called the front desk (with my cellphone as the phones In the room didn’t work) and they said they would send someone up but they never did. Other than that, the size of the room with 2 TV’s was outstanding. We called for some blankets so we could watch a movie and that was great. Maybe keep blankets in the rooms for that purpose.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 4/5
The hotel was very nice. They seemed very understaffed but if that wasn’t an issue I would have gave it 4.5 stars overall. But the line to check in or to get any assistance even at 8:00 at night was ridiculous
- 5/5
The ocean view and the restaurant around the pool. My suite was really nice too.
- 3/5
We waited entirely too long for service at breakfast, about an hour, despite the restaurant being nearly empty. Then we were given menus but not the choice of the breakfast buffet. I just happened to see it and inquired about it. My husband’s chicken and waffles was overcooked and dry. The food was not up to the prices paid. We wouldn’t dine at the restaurant again. We booked the room for six people, but there was no sheets or blanket included for the pull out couch. I was able to speak to a housekeeper who gave me sheets so that we could make it up ourselves. I’m glad that we had traveled with a blanket because we weren’t offered one of those. When I asked the check-in person, they couldn’t tell me how much my credit card would be charged for incidentals. I was told that it was either $150 or the price for the night of the room. Even though I booked my stay with one credit card, the card that I use for incidentals was charged for my room, which I did not want. I booked a room with an ocean view. I could see a slicer of the ocean from our balcony. The staff was not very friendly. None were mean or rude but they also were not very welcoming.
- 1/5
This property was nothing like the images posted on expedia. It was pictures of another place except the front entrance exterior shot. The place smelled like blunts and incense. It was dirty and trashy. Literal trash in the halls, boxes stacked in corners of lobby and hallways, the beach was covered in ciagrette butts and alcohol containers. It was a party atmosphere. There was a fight in the parking lot before we even entered where a man spat on another man. Not nice and clean or family friendly. We checked out less than 20 minutes after arriving and they charged me for one night, over $400. We feel conpletely duped
- 4/5
Three things I didn’t care for…while the hotel accepts pets, there’s nowhere good for them to go to the bathroom. The “grass” is six inches high and must have something sprayed on it to repel pets. My dog wouldn’t pee on the grass and she hopped quickly off every time I put her up on it. I watched some other dogs…same. So she pottied once on the walk way, once on a curb, and once on a sandy walkway. Another man’s dog coming inside pooped right on the 3rd floor carpet and didn’t have a bag. (I gave him one.) Also, I asked for and seemed to have confirmed a beachside view. The only view I had was the parking lot. If that’s because I had a dog, they didn’t say. Third, compared to other beaches I’ve been to, the walk to the ocean is going to take a long stroll as the hotel is set quite far back. (And going from the front door is quite a walk. From the back, as far as I knew, you literally had to walk through where people are eating at the restaurant. No one seemed to mind a dog walking past their table (or being carried) on the way to the beach, but coming back—wet, sandy, and with gear, everyone looked up. It was weird. Finally, the cleaning crews were all nice; the desk people were curt all four times I spoke to them. That didn’t feel great. If all you care about is a really nice facility, you don’t have a dog, and you don’t interact with front staff, you’ll be very happy.

Dear Management, During my recent stay at Delta Hotels by Marriott in Virginia Beach I repeatedly experienced strong marijuana odors entering my room and balcony through the bathroom vent, despite the hotel’s non-smoking policy. I reported the issue multiple times but no resolution was provided.

The location of the hotel is perfect. It is much quieter on the beach here. More family friendly. My only issues were the toilet paper holder was falling off the wall and they only had one elevator working. Waiting 30 mins for an elevator kind of sucks.

Like: Front desk staff and easy check-in and check out. Needs work: 1/2 of the resorts elevators are inoperable. Facility trash cans at multiple entrances were not emptied regularly. Food options at the hotel restaurant were very pricey. Last, resorts such as these, with exterior room balconies need to enforce the smoking ban. The marijuana smell was overpowering and frequent. This resort, by focusing in a few details, can thrive. The location is fantastic. One more comment. Reduce your parking fee.

My reservation was for a room with an ocean view, but we only had a partial view.

The best staff ever! The cleaning crew was always so attentive. The hotel staff and valet crew always kind and giving such a great service. Great facilities, ocean front a super plus, very nice restaurant. We loved that they’re pet friendly and we were able to bring our dog. Shout out to Christine P, the hotel director of sales who was always making sure we had the best vacation. We will definitely go back!

The place was excellent, our room, the bed, the service and restaurant. Checking in was fast and easy. The desk personnel were polite and professional. The place was clean and friendly.

We were so pleasantly surprised with this place. It’s out of the way of the typical VA beach downtown area, which we were very happy with. We normally stay within walking distance of the boardwalk but this changed my mind about that completely. The hotel was really nice and spacious and the on-site restaurant was great with excellent access to a quiet beach. The option to use the hotel sunshades and loungers was great as well. Pool was nice but crowded. Our room was great except for an issue with the bathroom door getting stuck.

It was great down to every employee.

Facility needs update and staff wasn’t particularly friendly, polite, and will not be staying again. Tides was ok - server was great yet everything took forever and food was ok but not exceptional. Room needs serious deep clean as there were cups and all sorts of stuff underneath the bed. We have stayed in VA Beach many times and this was something new to try and unfortunately don't think will do again.

The property has been renovated but is showing wear and tear. It’s was very crowded on the weekend due to weddings and other events. There are significant waiting times for elevators regardless of the additional event crowds.

Parking situation not the best and charging hotel staying guests for parking each night is just a money grab

Liked the location to beach. Bathroom sink was stopped up.

The room was great- comfortable and spacious- the refrigerator was not the best - too small for the size and accommodation- otherwise everything else was good

The staff members were extremely friendly when asked for assistance with onsite amenities everyone was professional and friendly. The appearance of the hotel is excellent.

The room that I booked was not what was available once I arrived at the hotel.

We booked expecting an oceanfront view based on the site description, but only received a partial view. The ice machines were broken on our floor and the one below—had to go down two levels for ice. The pool was much smaller and less luxurious than shown online. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was for the pool area. Unfortunately, we were never able to use it, as all available seating was consistently occupied. The only remaining option was the 'reserved seating,' which required a minimum $200 food and beverage purchase to access—something that was not clearly communicated prior to booking Elevators were extremely slow, with long waits. One started glitching on our last day and skipped floors. The stairwell was filthy and honestly unsettling. Walls are paper thin—we could hear our neighbors talking clearly. On top of everything, parking was an extra $30 per night, and the spaces were extremely tight and hard to maneuver. Overall, not worth the price and very misleading photos and descriptions online. Would not stay again.

i don't like you have to pay 30.00 a night to park your car and when i did park there were garbage and dirty diapers in the parking lot that i step on when i got out of my car

We loved our stay here! Beautiful building, and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. We also hosted a workshop for our company, and the events team is phenomenal. So communicative and made sure all day we had everything we needed in a timely manner. We had lunch catered, and the food was so delicious!
