The room we stayed looked like the cleaners just change the sheets. The bathroom sink was not wiped down, it still had water residue on the faucet. The shower had small visible mold.

It was a terrible stay terrible place

And their breakfast you could make a waffle and everything else is cold. They did have some oatmeal and some kind of omelette that looked pathetic and also they didn’t have the water in the room where the food was. They only clean the room when we asked in the five days we stayed maybe cleaned it twice would never stay there again.

Would stay again as a last resort.

The Front desk woman was very Rude non-respectful at all.

Location was great The hotel was dirty and poorly maintained. We got stuck in the elevator the first night. The tiles in the shower were pushed in, the ventilation fan in bathroom didn't work, the pool was dirty, and the mattresses were old and uncomfortable. For $1800 for a week I expected more.

Great place to stay. There is a lot of local places to shop. Very close to the beach. You can not hear other people in the hotel. The stay way very clean and warming. I will most definitely be coming back to this hotel.

When we checked in the TV was not working the light was not turning on. I had to be moved to a different room that wasn’t ready very gross.

The location is great! We walked to most stores and restaurants. Bathroom was kinda gross, but other than that, it was a good choice for the money.

Room was clean and large with a balcony. Shower pressure was great and I liked that the mirror and sink were separate from the shower/toilet so two of us could be getting ready at the same time. It was quiet for a restful night sleep on a busy Saturday night at the beach. We had a balcony with a partial beach view, which was just okay since we were on floor 2 and couldn’t see much but it did give us the ability to sit outside for some fresh air. Staff was friendly and helpful and allowed us to park our car on the day we arrived and day we departed all day. Breakfast was fine - we had waffles, bagels, yogurt, and bananas. Location is not oceanfront, but it is right across the street with a very quick and easy walk. The price was affordable for an overnight stay at the beach and I would stay here again.

The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The continental breakfast was good. The grounds had beautiful gardens. The pool was green and the pool chairs were so worn, they looked like the fabric could break. There were ants in our room. The overall Room was clean except for the bathroom didn’t look clean from the previous guests.

The price for the location is great. If you need 5 star this is not the hotel for you, but if cleanliness where it matters is your priority, I recommend staying here. There's free parking and breakfast. The carpet could be cleaner.

Days inn Virginia Beach - not right on the beach but you can see it over the road between the hotels that are on the beach. Good enough and the price is way better. I stayed in the older side on ground level. Convenient and decent on noise. People coming and going, jets low and noisy every so often. Not going to get away from that. Bathroom walls and ceiling peeling. Seen worse. Room and property were clean. Couldn't find a snack vending machine but only searched about a quarter of the hotel. Shops nearby for beer and snacks. Recommend bringing it with to save money there. Parking lot was good. No issues. Staff was very nice. I didn't use pool or fitness room or breakfast. Wanted coffee before I headed to meetings but coffee shop not open till like 0730 or something. Just drove a couple blocks over to Starbucks on the way to the base. Coffee maker in room, didn't use it. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Thanks!

One block to the beach and lots of great things to see and do within walking distance. Great staff! The views were perfect, the small private balcony is great for a coffee and spectacular sunrises.

The staff was friendly and we were right across the street from the boardwalk so the ocean and beach was super convenient. Loved walking on the boardwalk daily. They had continental breakfast which is always a plus to us. Would use this place again.

Being able to sit/park outside the door. Shower had no water pressure. I couldn’t get all of the shampoo out of my hair. Needs a hand held shower head for the handicap bathroom. Definitely needs updating. Peeling paint all throughout the room. The sliding bathroom door looked like it flooded at one point.

There was a fly in our room when we first got there. It literally died- found it on the floor dead when we got back a few hours later. The walls were tore up, they were patched where there was holes.The door connected to the next room wasn't even locked- the door wouldn't shut all the way. There was a chair up against that door. The floor was nasty in all the rooms. Part of the wall was coming off. Black stuff on part of the wall. Dirt, all over counters weren't weighed down. Take a look, nothing.And I mean nothing was cleaned. We had to clean the room ourselves, and I still felt nasty. Couldn't wait to get back to where we actually live. I have never felt like that in my entire life. We wouldn't of have stayed there if we could have gotten our money back. Thank goodness you didn't have bedbugs. I give you guys a zero star. Never, ever ever will i ever stay at a Days Inn again. You couldn't pay me enough to even stay there. The photos you have online aren't even the photos of the room. Most of your photos aren't even of your hotel. The food was just as bad. I had called ahead of time before I even booked it. And asked about the food I was told there would be sausage bacon, so what is eggs and other hot foods?Maybe not all in the same day.But they would always be eggs, bacon, or sausage and other things. The location was very convenient - just a block away from the beach. All the staff members were friendly and hospitable. There were a couple of things, like the tv and microwave, that needed to be worked on, but the maintenance team was very responsive and fixed any issues we had quickly. There was also a very sweet and friendly housekeeper named Elena who thoroughly cleaned our room and made us comfortable.

The room was too small and stuffy. Definitely not what i expected. Staff wasn't authorized to change my room or upgrade my you. I refused to stay. End up having to locate another hotel that accommodate my needs.

The area at the time of checking in they had a 9:30 curfew.

The closeness to the beach and other amenities such as restaurants and shops. My room was right off the pool and I could access it easily The only problem is we had a leak in the ceiling by the front door of the room which we let the front desk know so they could have a look at it when we checked out

The beach is close I walked in and my asthma attack immediately started because of the cigarette smell. The room was dingy and not clean. A lady in the lobby was complaining about being bitten by bugs all night in her bed.

This was a nice friendly hotel. The pool was nice! Walking distance to the beach and several restaurants. I would've gave it 5 stars but the breakfast does not have any breakfast meat only scrambled eggs no sides. They did have waffles and cereal.

when I made reservations for the hotel it said it has an ocean view and kitchen area with pictures of a stove cooking area which we did not get at all.

Need to check each room to make sure that everything is in running order we had a room that the shower ran hot water only no cold water ran in shower had to be moved to another room then that room the coffee maker did not work had to go get another one. Other than that beds were clean so was the room staff was very nice and helpful.

Noisy ALL night! Traffic plus sounds of construction above and to the sides ALL night. Didn’t get more than perhaps one hour of sleep! Awful.

The pictures do not accurately reflect how outdated the property is. Difficult to find working outlets to charge electronics. Multiple car alarms prevented a good night sleep.No area to wash sand off feet from beach. I booked in a rush and should have examined the area more closely. However the staff was kind and courteous.

Shower tiles caved in around knob, holes in the walls in the room. Other patrons were smoking marjuana on the balconies and being loud. General manager stated they couldn’t do anything about the noise until 1 AM. General manager also stated that marijuana is legal in Virginia so they can’t tell them no.

This hotel needs to be updated. Rooms were loud we could hear people next to us and above us. Beds were horrible.

Our room was very nice, size wise. Had 2 beds plus a sofa bed. We could see some of the lights from the oceanfront (looking through the hotel across the streets parking garage). Microwave and mini fridge as well as cupboards. The room was very dated paint peeling, doors chipped and warped, and one of the cupboard doors was sealed shut. Didn't see any bugs or creepy crawlies so that was good. If someone closed a door near the room, it slammed, every time, so some sound proofing would be nice. The bathroom was okay. Bring your own toilet paper, and tissues, the stuff they have there is very thin and small. It stuck to itself like it was all glued together. My main complaint is the bed, it was rock hard and painful. To be fair, I was in a car accident earlier this year so I have some pre-existing injuries but this bed aggravated them to the point I was in tears. Had to go get a mattress pad and even that didn't do much good. My son said it wasn't the most comfortable but it didn't make him hurt like it did me. All in all, I cannot stay here again because of the beds but if you aren't bothered by hard stiff mattresses, this is a very nice hotel, at least around Thanksgiving when we stayed. The breakfast was okay, I only had the bagels which were always hard and stale but it is the slow season so that may not be true during busier times. The parking spaces are a bit small and they need more handicap spots spread out through the property. There were people smoking

The property is amazingly kept. Michael is the best welcoming committee and front desk staff with their smiles and cordial invites. Breakfast attendee has an amazing god loving personality. We have gone to this hotel over 25 years and will keep going.

Staff was courteous, room was clean, nice towels. A couple of things out of the hotel control, 1) noise outside and 2) every time I left the room there was the smell of skunk weed, in the hallways elevator etc

This hotel was ok. I liked the large amount of parking and how the parking lot was close to my room. I also like the fact that they had elevators. The guy at the front desk was very nice and the check in process was very quick. There were no hidden fees or resort fees. But I paid extra for a partial ocean view. There was no ocean view. If you walk outside on the balcony and turn your head and squint you may get a glimpse of the sand. And I also I was right next to the pool deck so that made the partial view even less visible. I came in at 5pm and the parking lot was pitch black. Where are the lights? And the breakfast was a disappointment. The attendant was nice and helpful but I expected more than a waffle and oatmeal. The room was fine except for the air conditioner/heater leaking water. It wasn't enough to flood the room but my socks did get wet.

Was a shooting. Across from the boardwalk. Not safe. Left Virginia after one night. Would not recommend Virginia Beach!!

To be honest i left after 1 night because when i woke up at 1am there was roaches running around by the fridge. I moved the fridge out and there was like 30 roaches scattering. They wanted to just move me to another room but i didnt feel comfortable after that and left.

To be honest i left after 1 night because when i woke up at 1am there was roaches running around by the fridge. I moved the fridge out and there was like 30 roaches scattering. They wanted to just move me to another room but i didnt feel comfortable after that and left.

Staff were friendly. Office was very accomodating when I needed to change my room through no fault of theirs. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Great price due to off season, but still warm enough to take advantage of the pool and beach.

Listen, it’s an affordable stay, it does what it needs to do — a place to clean up after the beach, and a place to rest! this means that it is not going to be a fancy place, it’s a bit dated but I was satisfied with my stay! took advantage of the included breakfast, it’s a small spread but enough to start your day! The pool area is only worth it if it isn’t too crowded but the beach is right across the street! Took us 5 minutes to get from the second floor and to the water with all our things and (heavy) canopy! Ice cream shop right next to the hotel and a cute Christmas store a little further down!

Cleaning staff was lovely and very attentive however the front staff was very rude and overall giving a rough time with the rooms we booked three rooms all together and all of them should have had a balcony however one room did not even though that is what we paid for they claimed they got booked up and got “really busy” even though we booked those rooms well in advance I would definitely look somewhere else for better service another thing I’d like to point out is the WiFi does not work in all rooms one of the rooms TV’s did not work at all no matter how much we tried to make it work we tried talking to the manager but she wasn’t much help customer service needs improvement

This is my second time staying here. The location is great for the price. The beach right across the street, ample free parking on the lot, free breakfast, my stay was enjoyable. Hotel and cleaning staff were nice. We will definitely stay here again.

It was old, beyond worn down, faucets ran constantly, mold and cracks on all the ceiling, awful smell (probably the mold) bed bugs & lice. It’s cost me more to debug me & my things than the couple nights I stayed there against my better judgment. Please stay as far away from this hotel as possible!!!

Although everything was fantastic, including staff which was perfect, our only issue was the toilet leaked from the bottom of the tank base, so it created a flooded area around in a short time. The toilet definitely needs to be changed

Beautiful place. My wife and I have stayed here for 28 years straight except the Covid year and know the staff and all who work there. Very cordial crew and keep it clean and beautiful.

Where we sat on the balcony, there was all rust, and it literally look like the balcony was going to fall apart. The big window to look at the beach was filthy. Go in the bathroom cabinet to get the blow dryer and it smells like mold so bad. The fan in the bathroom didn’t work. The colors of the room were absolutely terrible. Nothing matched. And the windows were horrible. You hear everything from the street terrible. I have pictures to prove it not happy. We did not have our room cleaned because we can use the same stuff for two days, but I asked the maid if she would leave us some new towels, she told me she would leave them on our door handle. They were never there. The people next-door woke me up at 1:30 am till 2:30 in the morning carrying on. I recorded it because it was so loud not happy with the place at all. Michele Schreckenstein

Property was at a walking distance from the beach and our room had view to the beach as well. The room smelled clean as we walked in, bathroom was clean, and the beds were clean and comfortable. We needed extra body soap and the room service was very fast with our request, so thank you very much for the service! Phones do not work, wifi was not working most of the time. Elevators were scary, smelly, and dirty. Staff was not helpful with the wifi. Breakfast area was filthy.

The rooms can get an upgrade, the room description on Expedia is not accurate as expedia cited a kitchenette which was not there , AC was working but leaking, the staff are all nice and friendly, small bathroom with some plumping issues.

We were given a handicapped room even though no one was handicapped. This room was on the bottom floor and we wanted a room with a balcony. The breakfast was just okay. The eggs were terrible.

The breakfast was very good with many choices including waffles. Very nice pool with a waterfall. But no hot tub. The only con was the bathroom. It was very small and tight. There was no rail in the shower if you need one. Housekeeping was every day which was nice.

Overall nice , but updates are needed to the rooms . Kitchen lacked good lighting, stove was old . Fridge is small. No vent fan very dated. We had a balcony with a view of the ocean and a pool reserved for guest. The staff was friendly, polite and helpful. They seemed to try to accommodate any request and provided free parking for hotel guest. We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is a little outdated and not well kept. The beds were comfortable but overall the hotel is mediocre.

The check in process was very easy and clerk very friendly. The breakfast was decent. Beds comfy. Just ran down a little but overall it was ok.

The 4 night we stayed, housekeeper never refreshed the beds or vacuumed the floor, only service we received was fresh clean towels when we requested them.

The room was nothing like it was described online. The window to the outside of the room was smashed but not completely broke through. There was a gap at the bottom of the door to the outside so bugs could crawl in(we were on the first floor). The room was dated. Stains on the ceiling. The bathtub was old and either dirty or worn out.

Very run down, dirty dingy bathroom shower and tub and sink, everything in the room was old. The whole building was old, cracks in the floors and walls. BUT I guess you get what you pay for. The staff was all very nice, there was always plenty of FREE parking available and the FREE breakfast was delicious. The pool was very nice as well. There were never any towels available at the pool so make sure you bring your own.

what i didn’t like about the this hotel is the lack of service from staff we were treated poorly the moment we arrived the breakfast was awful our room pillows sheets had stains from the previous customer i wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone of my friends or family and never will.

The staff was great. Definitely not up to par for me. Price didn’t match my stay. Not clean, WiFi didn’t work, dead flys left on the wall as well as a dirty ceiling. There was a hole in bathroom door.i wouldn’t stay again. Pool area was nice.

The room was nice. My only complaint is that I stayed 5 days and the maids never changed my sheets.

Room was not up to par patio door. Did not open to balcony. Phone did not work in the room. Smelled musty. Just not up-to-date. Never spent the night they showed me another room. It didn’t seem to be any better. Left and never checked in, but they took one night of my money. Even though I never even unpacked or put my luggage there.

I didn’t like the fact they didn’t clean our room daily . I didn’t like that they ran out of food two day about an hour before they closed I didn’t like the fact they didn’t empty our garbage every day .the fact they never came and fixed our phone in the room from day one .

Our room was right next to the door for the pool. Every time it opened it slammed and was very noisy. The pool was supposed to close at 9 o’clock and there were people there some nights until 10 or after. We had to call one night and say something about the noise at the pool with the door, keeping us awake. I don’t think staff addressed it. Our last night there the fire alarm went off and was going off for several minutes and woke us up at 11:30 PM. When checking out no one asked us how our visit was.

Stay was great only issue we had was the jets going over head from 8am to almost midnight every night. Food could of been a little fresher went down around 8 and food was a bit stale and watered down

Parking is a bit tight with our compact sedan (is300). Other than that we had a room that connected directly to the pool so had access even after closing which was nice! Refrigerator was so cold that the second from top shelf froze my water bottle. Cross the street and you're at the beach. Clean linen and no smells in room. Exterior could use a soft wash and our toilet was not caulked so it wiggled a little. Water gets HOT but pressure was mid. Friendly staff. Extended our stay an extra night and it was no hassle. They offer a free breakfast but we walked a block to scrambled since it was so good! Never got to try the hotel's free breakfast but they do offer it. Pool is heated with a rock waterfall. Depth ranges for 3.5 to 6.5 ft. Decent for getting a swim in if it's not crowded. I'd rate this hotel 5/5 for customer service, 4/5 for cleanliness and 5/5 for location vs pricing. Overall, 5/5 and will stay here again if or when we come back to VA Beach.

Enjoyed my 15 day stay

I liked the breakfast. Our room was right at pool which was noisy with no privacy. The staff gave us another room the next day but that room had only warm water. Also, we were informed that we would get our receipt in an email. We have not receive yet.
