I don't usually complain or give bad reviews but the extended stay at tysons corner was not good for me and my family. Wifi didn't work, remote needed batteries it was useless and had to press the buttons like 10 times just to change the channel or lower the volume. Towels, sheets, and trash were not changed daily, only after 7 days the front desk said they do a "complementary cleaning". I was there 5 days with the same trash, sheets, and towels. I had to go to the front desk with my dirty towels to exchange it for new towels, its like I'm working to serve my self when I'm the guest, no hospitality what so ever. No mugs in the room you have to ask for everything, this is a bare minimum operation. I was wondering where the bathroom trash was it was under the sink drawer didn't find it until the 3rd day, we used 1 trash in the kitchen for everything which wasn't changed by staff I had to take out my own trash on the 3rd day because it started to smell. The laundry dryer at night made the whole floor smell like dirty underware and socks. The only thing that worked good was the bed to sleep and shower, even the toilet was weak at flushing had to go to the front desk for a plunger. Worst hotel experience I have ever had, and I've stayed at many, its like the opposite of hospitality. Didn't feel welcomed or like a guest at all. Went to breakfast first day and all there was is an egg and 1 packet of oatmeal at 9 am. The stay was uncomfortable and I feel I overpaid for what I got.

My room was clean and smelled fresh. The hotel was very close to highway and malls, which made getting around quick and easy. There was plenty of parking and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Vending machines worked and had good options.

If you're just looking for a reasonably priced place to stay for night, this hotel might be OK. If you are traveling on business and want any measure of comfort, modern amenities, a decent bed, soundproof windows, a quiet AC etc etc this place leaves a lot to be desired. The rooms are pretty basic and there are signs of neglect. Would I stay here again? Possibly, but I hope not.

The breakfast offered was a little disappointing - more of a morning snack at best rather than a meal. Some fruit at least in addtion to what was offered would have been nice.

It's close to Tysons. But you will need a car to get around since it's nowhere near public transportation. This hotel is absolutely filthy. We had two rooms and one of the bathrooms was so disgusting that we had to shower in the smaller room (brown mold and rust coming out of the showerhead, hairs, dirty shower curtain, etc.). There were many visible stains on the furniture. I know this hotel is less expensive than others in the area, but I expect a basic level of cleanliness from a national chain. When we booked, we asked if we could have adjoining rooms and they said they would do their best to accommodate us. Then when we checked in, they told us that NONE of the rooms are adjoining, so why would they say they would try? I tried to get a new hotel after the first night but of course, this one was non-refundable for our remaining stay. Very disappointed in the hotel and in booking.com.

The location was ok. It was a short drive to the mall, restaurants and activities. The room was not clean. When I walked in the door I noticed crumbs on the kitchenette counter. The bathroom counter and bathtub was dirty. Good thing I bring cleaning products with me when I go to hotels.

Free parking right outside the hotel. This is not a fancy hotel and it is a bit tired, but it does the job just fine. Employees are friendly and the rooms are clean. The mattress lies on a metal bedframe and it squeaks when you move. The room and bathroom are large enough and it does provide kitchen area. I stay when I am in town for business for a day or two.

I had a non-smoking room that reeked of smoke, especially the bathroom. Expedia claims there is a gym, but there is no gym. Staff was nice but facilities were very depressing. There was no cups, plate, or silverware in the extended stay unit. A sign said you had to ask for whatever cutlery you needed at the front desk. That made me worried about how bad theft must have been at the hotel.

I found beetle larva in the towels in the bathroom, although not bed bugs, still concerning. The location was all in all pretty run down. The heater didnt seem to fully function (the room was maybe only able to heat to 60 degrees max). the under-window unit seemed in disrepair (it was askance and not fully attached to the wall). The sheets didnt fit the bed well and slid/crinkled atop the waterproof mattress cover -- this coupled with the room temperature made for an uncomfortable night's rest.

The room was clean, albeit very warm initially with the heat set at 78! The staff was nice, the building was in fine condition. The “breakfast” is coffee/tea and some prepackaged, individual muffins or nutrigrain bars. Not what I would call a continental breakfast as I have experienced it anywhere else. The location is good, close to Tysons mall/station, and the mall has free parking so you can easily get into the city without worrying about driving there.

I arrived at this property on August 25th . The bathroom had hair all on the ceiling snd on the back of the bathroom door. The television remote did not work. The floor of the room was not fully clean and mopped. The toilet stopped up twice on me in one day and the property manager was very disrespectful and unprofessional to me . Blaming me for the toilet being stopped up.She called me on the telephone yelling snd telling me that she is going to charge me $50 if the toilet stops up again. After threatening me with a $50 fee she hangs up the telephone on me. Now normally I would have given her another side of me but I swallowed that because I had already paid for my three nights. The hotel does’t have a gym, no real breakfast, no lobby, nothing to offer the guests. It felt like I was staying at a shelter snd not at a hotel paying my money. They give you one roll of tissue per room for two people. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. It was an unpleasant stay. The staff could have been more friendlier and welcoming. It was not a warm and pleasant stay. It was a very hostile and cold environment. You go to a hotel to relax, chill and be comfortable. This was not that hotel. I was very disappointed.

We didn’t like even one thing. Photos look beautiful-it’s not! Trust me!! You get what you pay for in this instance!! It was loud, dirty, smelled bad, people actually live there ( I guess hence the name “extended stay”) and they’re loud and obnoxious people. I wanted to like it but my god. When we walked into the bathroom and saw actual human hairs on the “clean towels” that was a wrap for us. That’s all I got pictures of unfortunately. Oh I wish I knew they were going to fight about giving me a refund for the night we didn’t stay, I would’ve snapped pictures non stop!! The breakfast they claim they have? Some packaged muffins and some coffee. What a joke. We couldn’t bear to stay a second night so we initiated for a refund only for the 2nd night. We had literally stayed there for less than 12 hours ( checked in at almost midnight, had to sleep there unfortunately, and we checked out by 11 am the following day) they’re now disputing our refund for the night we DID NOT STAY THERE. What a bunch of thieves. Never ever ever again we ended up checking out and going to the Hilton garden Inn in falls church and oh my ohhhh my what a beautiful amazing place!!! We will go back to that one!

It was two nights stay, from the first evening till the check out I asked them to provide kitchen utensils, they did not. Stove was not working at all. On asking they used to say we are sending to fix it in 10 minutes but nobody showed up till last. Basically the kitchen was just a useless feature as no working stove available neither any utensils. I didn't like the staff attitude as well. Overall not a worth of you are looking for a peaceful stay.

This isn’t the cheapest hotel in the area and it’s missing a LOT of maintenance work. We got there, get our room and spend ages trying to find it because our room’s number was missing, something that they could’ve at least mentioned at the front desk. Finally in the room, got settled and we kept hearing a water leak coming from the tub that never stopped leaking. And if that wasn’t enough the TV remote was broken cause some buttons didn’t work. The cherry on top was the included breakfast was instant oatmeal, fruit bars, and coffee. If I am paying over $150 per night they could definitely do a better a job.

We were initially assigned and given the key to a room that wasn’t ready. It was still being cleaned. They told us it would be about a 15 minute wait, but there was no place to wait. No chairs, no lounge, nothing. We requested another room and was given one. Accommodations was bare bones.

CON: for straight business only, in & out. Outdated. Towels felt like they've been in the hotel's rotation for years (off-white, yellow, thinning, not drying) and felt slightly damp. Bathroom's shower had constant drip; could not get it to stop. Didn't check in until midnight & was leaving at 7am so there was no point in calling maintenance, etc. will not re-book.

The room was quiet I had 3 really bad experiences. First, on return to the room on my second day I have found that my toilet was used by someone. It was not properly flushed and needed a brush. The second is when I called the manager about this. She raised he voice and said that I must have left it like that in the morning. She admitted that her cleaning staff could've used the room, but didn't consider it a possibility. (Personally I think the cleaning staff was working on the 3rd floor, had a bathroom emergency and did not take the effort or time to go down to the staff rooms.) Thirdly the kitchen was completely without utensils. When I phoned the front desk they did deliver some utensils, pots and a percolator. When I took the percolator from the package, it was unwashed and still had use coffee brew from a previous use. There were no teaspoons with the utensils delivered - I had to stir my coffee with the table spoon handle. This was unacceptable and pathetic - especially the way the manager handled the issue.

This place should not exist or be called a hotel. It is in the heart of Tysons Va and if you are familiar with this area it is mainly an upscale and very well maintained area. This place is far from that. As I checked in, this should have been a red flag, I observed a female customer that was in tattered clothing having a heated conversation with the person at the counter. The lobby smelled like a locker room and the decor felt like it was from the early 90s. Don’t be fooled by the images online. If you have a family, stay away from this hotel. When I checked in, the staff member asked if I had paid online. I was confused because, I had a prepaid reservation. Anyway, the below is a list of complaints or observations that went unchecked by staff; in no particular order. 1. Lights in the room began flickering 2. Hair on the bathroom door 3. Pubic hair on toilet seat 4. Dust balls on floor 5. Towels were stained 6. Refrigerator makes loud noises (all night) 7. People smoking weed in the parking lot 8. 2 guys on separate occasions urinating in the rear parking lot 9. Smoke alarm started chirping (staff asked me to come get the battery and install myself) 10. Bathroom door is partially off the hinge (missing a screw and door is hard to close) 11. Shower curtain has black stains 12. No towels upon demand

The room is okay and the location is good for the price. They need more people in the hotel because there’s usually no one at the front desk.

Now the bad: upon arrival, I noticed that the room was broiling hot, and the A/C was broken. Leaving the window open helped to cool the room, but at night, guests were talking loudly and smoking weed outside my window. Also, the refrigerator wasn't working properly, did not keep anything cold. The internet cut out during my stay too, so I could not use the internet, nor would the tv work. Breakfast was lackluster, just some pre-packaged muffins and coffee and tea. Nothing special. I wasn't the only guest walking away empty-handed. The worst part of the stay? Upon packing up my things in the morning, I saw a cockroach run across my room floor. This prompted me to want to check-out early, I had had enough! Then, there was no one at the front desk to check me out. Online, this hotel boasts a "newly renovated" property. Sure, you can tell that the rooms have new floors and some furniture updates, but a room with no A/C and cockroaches does not feel new. Sorry, but I do not recommend this hotel, not even at a discounted rate.

Nobody is EVER at the front desk to help you. Every time I and other guests had to wait for someone to show up for 5-30 minutes.

I had some issues with the keys not working, but they quickly resolved that. There was a heavy Indian aroma through out the hotel. Just something to note if you are sensitive to certain scents. Where I think they failed was the cleanliness. I asked for some plates and silverware and they prided themselves on their cleanliness. But when they handed me my one plate it had dried crusty stuff on it. There was a dead bug on the kitchen counter. The floors has something spilled on them, the mirrors were not clean, the bathroom countertop was missing part of it. You didn’t want to touch anything in there. There was a cap on the TV sound. So if you had the heater or AC running you could barley here it. They say you get what you pay for and for a little over $100 a night maybe that’s on par with what you get, but I won’t be staying there again.

The front desk person was very rude. He didn't allow us to check in saying, he hasn't heard back from 3rd party reservation. Asked us to wait outside in cold. This didn't happen with any other hotels. It took max 20 mins but this time we had to wait for 30 mins . I requested him to check confirmation number but he was adamant to assist. Also, he is never at this desk so had to drop the key and leave. Tried calling him but he didn't answer either.

No pool but basic for the price. It didn’t say on Expedia that it was a grab and go breakfast. Room was very outdated and cheap appliances and shower/tub. One good thing was that there was a stove, sink and full size fridge/freezer. They shut our water off 35 minutes prior to check out which was annoying because we couldn’t brush our teeth.

The hotel parking lot was icy and did not look like they attempted to clean it, even the walk are to lobby was icy. The entrance to the lobby and the whole hotel smelled like marijuana too bad becasue the hotel looked somewhat decent if it wasnt for the smell. I would not recommend this hotel until they address that ossue with guests especially when it states in the paper you sign there is no smoking allowed.

Breakfast? What a joke. The so-called “breakfast” is just a grab-and-go option with terrible coffee and a blueberry muffin—emphasis on terrible.

Construction on the lobby level and in the elevators made the property look disordered, but the room was fine.

A really bad experience, front desk mistreated my guest, a very poor breakfast area.

Place is durty and cheap not worth for what they charge, unless is 100 or under per night, is horrible bed ,sheets pillows and carpets, bathrooms are so dirty and hand sink is falling, is worth spending 150 somewhere else

The place wasn't clean, there was other guest hair in the shower, the stink drain was flooded, and the TV channel went out on Thursday.

Check-in took 15 mins. Called down to the front desk in the am…no answer. No ice machines.

Property was nice as last minute booking. Room was clean but water dripping in tub and looked like black mold on area of tub under faucet near drain.
- 4/5
It was fairly quiet, however the rooms could be upgraded. The A/C was very noisy!

Room had a stale smell. The room clock was not set and was blinking - clearly no prep. The room across the way housed a someone who cooked with his room door propped open to the hallway and playing music.

Great! Room was clean and we had no other issues! Elevator was out of use but that wasn’t really a problem as I was only on the second floor. For the price this was a great stay! The staff were also very friendly and helpful!

The hair dryer burnt when I tried to use it ,Smoke started!!! Luckily did not shock me. The GFI are not working properly. It is far from the marketing presented, They need to get their act together, The whole brand is not doing well because of the lack of better organization& resources,

It was a horrible experience with my family. My kids literally cried and they were mkt ready to sleep in that room. We reached late in the night so we did not have enough time to cancel booking and find another hotel.

I liked that i could cook and it had a refrigerator. It was clean. It was quiet. The proximity from the motel to the metro and store was awesome.I had to wait 10 minutes to be able to check in because no one was at the front desk when i arrived. There was no coffee pot in the room. All in all not a bad stay.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and comfortable beds. Near the metro station. Had a good time here.
- 1/5
They didn’t have our room available (2 queen beds) and refused to accommodate by giving us an extra room/bed. We booked two beds and were left with nothing the day we arrived for our trip. The front desk employee/manager said he had been repeatedly trying to call me (which was a lie based off the one phone call the DAY of) and took zero responsibility for the situation. We found a great hotel nearby and are fortunate it didn’t work out here at Extended Stay. I recommend staying elsewhere unless you want to be gaslit by management. Nothing sucks worse than traveling all day & having to search for hotels after arriving. Very inconsiderate.
- 5/5
Possibly the best part is the combination of breakfast and happy hour in an amazing atmosphere. That alone makes the experience one to look forward to. Thank you!
