Honestly -- I was expecting quite a bit better from this La Quinta. First - there was a strong windstorm that had hard greenbean-seeds from a tree pounding on my car. Ok, so I moved the car to a spot that wasn't under a tree - but still....you guys can't trim the trees up ...maybe even remove the trees that are pounding cars with large seeds ? The bed and room were just ok.....not updated for quite a while. Then we get to the shower. The showerhead and tub were just flat out OLD, looked like they were installed in the early 90's ? And I really needed a nice soothing shower....it was POUNDING instead of soothing, because the dial wouldn't work right on the shower head. And then the breakfast was pretty "blah". Yes, eggs & sausage, etc. But nothing to brag about. Sooooo -- nothing horrible. This hotel will do for a night, if you need to be 1/4 mile from the airport...that was nice. But I'm pretty disappointed that MGMT at this facility doesn't look they even try to UPDATE and INVEST in anything over the course of time. It really shows....and the hotel seems "tired". Kinda sad.....La Quinta used to be a go-to for me. Not anymore. I'll probably stay somewhere else next time.

Clean property, clean room, staff was kind and friendly. I wish the breakfast area was a lot cooler, it was too hot for my taste. I hope one day in the future the hotel would replace the shower curtain with a sliding door. Or get rid of the top completely in just a stand up shower in its place. Other than that everything was excellent.

The room hadn’t been vacuumed and there was debris and what looked like a dead bug by tte bathroom door. The bed looked like it had been changed tho and there were enough pillows. Tte slot for a tissue box was empty.

Nothing Very unclean. No hot water. Told the front desk and I was told to let it run for 10 minutes and it should warm up! Shows that the owner was aware of the water issue and was not concerned with fixing the issue. Had to check out and go to another hotel!

There was poop on the toilet. The pool chairs and tables looked like they haven't been replaced ever. They were rusty and so incredibly dirty. Looked like you'd need antibiotics after sitting on one. The umbrella was missing an arm and couldn't be opened.

I travel to Tucson often to see my grandkids. This was always the go to hotel. The breakfast to the late check out. The hotel had gotten so dated. The carpets are very dirty. The breakfast was not like it use to be. It makes me a little sad. It is no longer the go to hotel.

Found a live scorpion in the bathroom and unable to get it out. took two days to have maintenance seal the gap. Then they were reluctant to clean the room afterwards. won't stay there again.

The place is run down and it smells like someone is constantly smoking weed. It was either the bad Tucson air quality or the room, but I ended getting sick for a week after. Door keycard had to be re-key 4 times. Just a bad experience located in a bad area. I would spend the money to stay somewhere else next time.

Overall stay was okay. We were told breakfast was going to be served till 9am. We got to the breakfast room at 8:30a.m and there were no eggs so we asked the server if they will be refilling more eggs. She kept saying yes it will be. We waiting 30 mins and after 30mins they started to clean up and and said they were closing breakfast. We said you said eggs were on its way and she goes sorry its still frozen. I mean she could have just us that at the first time. We would have ate somewhere else.

Complimentary breakfast was subpar. We got there at 8:00am (breakfast is from 6-9am) and the bread / bagel station was depleted by 80%. Only sliced bread remained. I saw one staff member come out to replenish the coffee creamer section but not the bread / bagel section. I was disappointed.

A couple of notes: this time there were no coffee packets with the coffee machine and I also kept smelling urine very strongly. Not sure if there was a problem with the Sewage? Not a huge deal but something to take a look at anyway.

Bathroom in our room needs an upgrade. Window pain in our room was cracked. Breakfast offerings were minimal.

Despite being right by the airport, the hotel was very quiet and peaceful. They had a solid breakfast too. No complaints at all!

Not one thing The room and bathroom were filthy! The room had not been swept and the bathroom not mopped. There were dirty wash cloths draped over the shower. The soap stand was not cleaned from previous dwellers and soap scum all over the countertop. There were entire hand prints all over the glass entry to the bedroom. Food fell out of the fold up bed when unfolded. The toilet was brown on the inside like it had never been cleaned, ever! The staff were not at all empathetic and did not offer apologies or to have the room cleaned while I was there after I complained. For shame on you hospitality!

The property itself looks good but the issues had where some areas in the room with paint lifting and looked very bad water damage. even on ceilings. Laundry facility is only 1 washer and 1 dryer need to have more for the amount of guests staying there. The breakfast is goof just wish had more fruits and possible bagels.

I checked into this hotel...was in there approx 10 minutes & checked out. I was still charged; Expedia & LaQuinta wouldn't refund. VERY dirty. Used straw on floor, someone's glasses on floor w/dried food next to the glasses = apparently not vacuumed. Looked like blood on door near safety latch. Spots on dresser where a drink had been = not wiped down. Several black hairs on the bathroom counter. I have pics of all. Hallway is dark. Absolutely horrible. I checked into Spark down the road.

I've stayed here many times and always look forward to checking in with excellent staff. They try very hard to accommodate every request.

This property could use a little touch up, but nothing major. What I did not like and did not review the last stay is the bed pillows. They are bad. They have apparently ordered them for all the hotels. They are half the size of a normal pillow and overstuffed with chunks of foam. There is no way to get comfortable. I guess to make up for the decrease in size they put extra pillows on the bed, all the same foam-chunk overstuffed only instead of 4 you get 8, none comfortable. The staff is wonderful, pleasant and helpful. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable except for the pillows. I strongly suggest they get changed out.

Airport shuttle was supposed to pick us up and when I called the front desk said he would be there in about 5 minutes. I called 20 minutes later to check in on status and she said he hadn’t left yet. He eventually arrived about 30 minutes after he was supposed to and it was about a 2 minute drive from the hotel..

Rooms were Not clean. To take a shower at any time was difficult. No matter when we tried there was NO HOT water, it was always luke warm at best. The breakfasts were awful! Usually cold! We made the mistake of booking for two weeks, big mistake. We will Never stay at this hotel again. The carpets in all the halls were just plain DIRTY, so were the elevators. The pool chairs were broken and dirty as were the tables. The hot tub did not work, there was yellow tape around it our whole stay.

OK so here is my beef! #1... only shampoo... no conditioner... no lotion. The water was very treated... so yes - conditioner and lotion would have been great. #2 their website lies about the shuttle being available from 5am to 11 pm. It is NOT available from 5am to 6am. I was told by the lady at the front desk if I wanted a ride to the airport I had to let them know 15 - 20 minutes before 5am to ensure that the driver was available. I called down to the front desk as I was leaving my room. That lady told me I actually had to be in the lobby to request the ride. So I got down... and then had to wait for 15 minutes for the driver to show up. It would have been faster and more convient for me to drive across the street and use the shutle from where I parked my car the night before! Will not use this hotel again!

Underwhelming! Is obvious the hotel was once stately, but now in quite disrepair. And unclean. Multiple places throughout the room and hotel were dirty including the bathroom, floors, and elevators. The paneling was coming off the bathroom doors. Shower fixtures were falling apart. Breakfast was lackluster.

There were problems with the exterior room cards not working efficiently. It would open after many tries or not at all. The smoke alarm in room 123 was hanging by the wires.

The hotel was pretty dirty. Nail clippings on the bathroom floor, halls appeared to have not been vacuumed in quite sometime, laundry machines hadn’t been cleaned. The bed was okay but the pillows felt like sleeping on a bag of rocks. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel.

Room was okay. Very outdated and seemed filthy. Chairs and curtains were badly stained. Felt grimy. No body wash either. Felt very motel vibe. I’ve stayed in other La Quinta Inns and this one surprised me with the lack of attention to cleanliness. Breakfast was decent.

The staff were very accommodating and the room very clean. But, the shower water would not get very hot for showering so had to take a very quick one and the drain was not draining well so water was all over the bathroom floor. Had to use all the large towels to soak up the water which was all over the floor. I had to move the coffee maker to the bathroom counter because the outlet was not working under the desk. I’m sorry to say, the coffee was not good 😌

She's aging, gracefully. Obvious signs of wear, but you can tell the owners and staff still love her. Only two complaints: add new toilet seats and WD-40 all squeaky hinges. Minimal investment, with a huge return on customer's comfort.

The front desk receptionist, Yvonne was extremely rude, toxic and unprofessional. I mentioned that my bathroom water was not getting hot and stayed cold for 10 minutes and she proceeded to disagree with me and did nothing with my request. I requested again before she sent a maintenance personnel to my room to fix the issue. She should be removed from the front desk if she is not interested in being professional and doing her job.

They are remodeling. Paint smell was over welming. Our room doors were tacky and got on backpack. Went to desk and saw some whipes on counter while lady talking on her phone. Just kept talking so i took a wipe and she quickly took them off counter and put it behind her.

The only thing I did not like was that there was no hair conditioner available....neither free in the room or available to purchase. We had to make a trip to Walmart.

The room was smelly. There was pubic hair on top of the fittest. Sheets, under the comforter, I don't think they changed the sheets unless they look dirty. They give you the same breakfast. Every single day, if you stay for a couple of days, you don't want to see it anymore. Sausage and steamed egg with bagels or toast or cereal. Also one of the staff members was extremely rude.She was in charge on saturday of the food.She was also very lazy, wasn't stocking food I wanted to use the bathroom in the lobby she was in there cleaning and stocking . And she had a block, and I asked if it was open. I asked 3 times she didn't respond until she finally did. And was added, and she told me almost screaming, it's open. I told the front desk what had happened with the employee, and she came and I told her that she had been very rude and she was rude again. Swinging her arm out her body gestures, her body language is very aggressive.

It’s very dirty throughout the building from the cleanliness of the room, elevators, breakfast buffet area and pretty much everywhere. The lamp in the room were off kilter as were those in the lobby area. No attention to detail anywhere on the property. The breakfast buffet was substandard as well. It served our purposes but I’d never return again.

2.waffle batter splattered on counter,floor mat and trash can after 4 days it was not cleaned mentioned to front desk on day one 3. Did not need room service for 9 days. Just vacuum. I was instructed from front counter to get vac from maid and do it my self. 4.breakfast shuts down 9:00am. Coffee machine turned off while guest was pouring his coffee. The man behind him was not allowed coffee. 15 mins before 9:00 two people where making waffle stacks of 10 each Not allowing anyone to get a chance. 5. Towels used for cleaning are also used to clean trash and is left on the trash cans thev are then used for the food counters 6. Maids play loud music In the hall way when cleaning. I like to sleep in till 10:00. Front desk said she would have it turned off. Did not happen. 7. Maids pretend not to speak English so you won''t ask them for anything. Stay in a expensive Motel or surrounding hotels. I stayed in those, 100% better.

I don't eat breakfast in motels. If there are boiled eggs, i may have two. I never use the pool either. The front desk personnel are the best. The hot water takes way too long to get to my room. Such a waste of good water, seeing that we don't have much of it in the southwest. Also i can't turn on the desk light without the the front light being on. You are paying more for electrical power than you need to.

We did not stay at the La Quinta, as we looked at two different rooms and they were both filthy. We never checked in and we would like a refund!

It was the worst housekeeping support we've ever experienced. Housekeeping only cleaned our room twice in 10 nights. One time, even after we complained to the front desk and were assured that we were scheduled for the next day, our room was not cleaned. Also, the amenities in the room lacked conditioner and lotions that are normally provided.

The bathrooms were complete crap. The shower rods were not properly installed and loose. Water leaked everywhere. Main hall carpets were badly stained. Ever since Wyndham took over, their hotels went to crap. La Quinta used to be the gem of hotels for more to mid income families. Their quality went down the drain . The breakfast was full and boring with rubber eggs. 2 brown bananas and apples is NOT FRUIT. Cheerios and frosted flakes isn't considered breakfast. I remember La Quinta having better food! So embarrassing

A few minutes later our driver appeared and said "You're supposed to tell us five minutes before that you need a ride." This was announced with considerable attitude I might add. I attempted to say that we reserved the shuttle when checking in and was cut off mid sentence and told that the are no "reservations." Very snarky and impolite young woman. I replied that that requirement should be fully explained upon check in. Then we were crammed into a mini van with bench seats and no room for luggage. The rear hatch was not opened for us. Ridiculous situation. The large real shuttle vehicle was parked nearby. Lights in the room were missing bulbs and one that had a bulb did not work. The bathroom is falling apart.

Very clean room and great attention from the stuff

Two things that prevented me from giving a higher rating: 1. Beds were uncomfortable. 2. The AC unit did not work (our room would not cool down) and was excessively noisy. These two things caused both of us to be unable to sleep soundly.

Room smells like mildew or some other preventable stink; breakfast is lacking - no hot sauce or basic toppings for anything. Staff are friendly but in my experience La Quintas are generally better managed.

Had a little hiccup in the beginning of my stay, but after that everyone was great.. forgot my water bottle in the van that took me to the airport and the grabbed it and sent it to me.. very much appreciated….i will definitely stay there again..

The bedding wasn't clean. It looked like someone was jumping on the bed with their shoes on. Also, when I woke up in the morning, I found a cockroach in the bathtub. I let the front desk know while I was checking out and the lady just said, "Ew gross".

This property was run down and out dated. The bathroom doors were frech doors that would not close properly nor was there a lock on the bathroom door to help keep it secured. The room smelled musty, even for being located in the desert it felt damp. There were quite a few paint drippings all over the bathroom floor & counter making it appear dirty. I would not recommend this hotel.

Very comfortable bed, though it was noisy when either of us rolled over during the night. Room was spotless, hotel was spotless, very clean. Breakfast choices could be improved, but overall a great night’s sleep!

Our room was not clean. The nightstands had sticky cup rings. The toilet was filthy and so was the tub and faucets. The front of the sink had something gross on it too. Probably still there. The remote was sticky too. I brought Clorox wipes for our plain trip and ended up sanitizing and wiping down our room. The paint was chipping. The rug was stained. The bed was comfortable and there weee no bugs so I guess that was a bonus. We for sure weren’t eating there.

The hotel needs some updating like paint and repairs to doors and drywall. I don't think anyone has cleaned the showerhead. The breakfast was ok but seemed like the bagels were stale. Wifi issues-kept coming upman "unsafe".I probably wouldn't stay again. I.didn't feel really safe.

How is it 4 nights ago we paid 72.00 great service then 4 nights later after a very long day and delayed flight in after midnight and I called an hour earlier the gentleman said no problem come in and 110.00 rate then told at the front desk from some woman 170.00 ??? Horrible service suggested I stop next door at Hampton Inn I guess you didn’t want our business and we will not stay again ever.

The room smelled a little like smoke but not unbearable. The bathroom door wouldn't stay open as we were sharing a room with our son on law it was a little annoying worrykng about the door opening. Thos morning i saw 2 baby roaches in the tub and on tile. The toilet wouldn't flush well and had to hold the handle for about 7 seconds to get it to fully go down. The mattress was hard to sleep on and had no give. I woke up both mornings with a sore back

The location is good. The rooms are dated. Our bathroom was not that clean mainly due to old caulking along the floor. Our lock did nto work, we had to get someone to open the door evey time we wanted to go in. It caught up on screws in the door jam. The elevators were very dirty.

I wasn't expecting the room to be outdated. The bed/pillows felt like they could use an upgrade. The bathroom is also in need of a complete re-do.

The hotel is not what I expected, bathroom was dirty, caulking around tubs was moldy and discolored, the shower head was full of water scales.

The first night we got put in a room that had a toilet that was extremely loud after flushing, the shower drain was clogged and the maintenance personnel had to come unclog it which had a lot of hair in it, and the tv volume did not work. They ended up having to move us to another room that was better but the toilet still had issues. Staff was nice though but didn’t offer any discounts for all the trouble the first night.

Otherwise, great price for spacious and clean room, comfortable bed, cheerful staff at check in. Chairs and some carpet area very worn. Close to airport. Restaurant selection limited, but bar & grill at hotel next door surprisingly good.

The only thing I liked was the proximity to the Tuscon Airport. The hallway light was defective; the paint was flaking on the toilet seat (why use a painted wooden seat when plastic is so much easier to clean and keep looking good?!?). The refrigerator was set so high that a beer bottle froze and exploded overnight. Only half of the 110 volt plugs on the desk worked.

The room had such a bad smell. It smelled like cigarettes smoke and a musty smell. Kept me up all night because it stunk so bad.

The staff is excellent especially Yvonne. Great stay.

Room and staff were both fine. My flight into the nearby airport was delayed by several hours I ended up checking in at 1 AM. I asked for a late checkout because of that. The only option the hotel offered was a fee of $20.00 for an hr. extention to the stated check out time. Is this a practice now? Over many years of hotel stays, I have never been charged for a late checkout of an hr. or less when there is a good reason for the request. I am a bit ticked off and feeling nickeled and dimed everywhere these days

I have stayed at La Quinta in the past in Arizona and other states and have enjoyed my stay. This time around the day time front desk woman was rude when I alerted her that the hot water wasn't working in the shower. The maintenance man was equally as rude - overheard saying "it's working". The front desk never even bothered to check and confirm all was ok. The rest of the staff in the main area were not very pleasant either, unfortunately. The air conditioning unit was very loud, turning on and off all night making it difficult to sleep for someone like me who is a light sleeper. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean. The staff completes someone's experience. If it weren't for the staff, the only big problem I would have had was the air conditioning unit.

Leaving airport in the morning woman at the front desk was suppose to call the shuttle driver...she said he wasn't picking up finally after 20 min we asked her to call again..finally she called him on his ell phone and he came 5 min later...almost missed our flight. When we returnedno shuttle service at 7 pm We were told to flah down another hotel's shuttle. Bed had fleas and couldn't sleep...disgusting

New employee working the desk at check-in accidentally charged me for the room when i had already booked through a 3rd party. Thankfully an experienced and extremely jolly and helpful employee helped me get the situation taken care of over the phone. Check in was ok. Room smelled, shower looked yucky (my son said like a prison), pee or food coated the baseboards in breakfast area. I paid for my well behaved med sized dog and Did not even like my dog to be on the ground. It was dirty, bird ppop on outside tables. Front desk told me as my dog is not a service dog I could not be in the breakfast area, which was the lobby. I asked her where she wanted me to go, she shrugged, then said outside, which was dirtier and super hot. Dog friendly it was not. Dog area is rocks and no pick up bags. Sidewalks filthy, rug in room stained. I wanted to sleep and get out as fast as I could. Do not stay here. Why is La Quinta quality so unreliable? Some are nice, others disgusting.
