Great option for staying in Tucson. It was close enough to downtown and in a quiet neighborhood. The hotel is nice and clean with an updated pool area. The rooms are large and well priced. Breakfast was slightly underwhelming but overall good. parking is easy and free.

The room is so beautiful I was on the three floor the room with the Jacuzzi on my birthday so nice will come back

Whenever we travel, we prefer to stay at the Holiday inn hotel, the main attraction is the hot tub and swimming pool. Breakfast is served hot and tasty. The staff are friendly and polite.

We arrived late and I had accidentally booked three King Rooms instead of three Double Queen Rooms. The front desk attendant was very helpful and got us set up with the right rooms. Breakfast was very good.

We only stayed overnight. The room was clean and comfortable! The breakfast was delicious!

When we open the hide of bed, we found what looked like maybe a bee and some other bugs inside the sheets we immediately just folded it back up and put the cushions on the sofa and had no one go near it. Made for an uncomfortable stay wondering about the situation of our queen beds. Didn’t see anything in the sheets or behind the mattress. I just stayed at the same hotel up in Logan Utah and it was fabulous and I would give it a 10 for clean and being very nice. This one definitely needs a lot of updating as well as Housekeeper training. Won’t return!

My sister found a cockroach on her bed when she walked into her room. The staff said it was seasonal and therefore could not switch her rooms because she paid specifically for a suite. I will not be staying here again.

We had an excellent stay. Couple areas of concern. The cart for loading our belongings could have pushed a little more easily. Also out on the pool deck there were strips. Not sure what they were for but they were loose and could have been a significant trippy hazard. Mostly the staff was just excellent. The food was good. The sausage gravy was out of this world and we had a wonderful time. And our maintenance fellow fixed the bed

Daniel at the front desk was extremely friendly. Pleasant and professional. We never really met with the other front desk employees. The room was very clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. The breakfast buffet was well stocked with good quality offerings. Really liked the coffee individual cup brewing stations and availability of the concentrated creamer pumps. We are extremely likely to recommend this place to others and will likely stay there again when we make the 4 hour trip to Tucson.

Good coffee beds were comfortable. Staff were helpful with problems that came up No linens for the convertible sofa, not enough coffee or cups in the room (different sizes from downstairs required). A/c needs updating.

The entry is beautiful. The check in clerk was very kind and smiling. The beds were very comfortable and I loved the jetted tub we got in our room!! The breakfast has several options and the staff there was very kind. The hotel is host to some kind of school so every time I would try to put in the address it would show the school and that was confusing. If I were Holiday Inn I wouldn’t want the school to take precedence over the hotel.

Cockroaches in cabinets and on floors. Bathroom tiles broken so you cut your foot every time you are in the tiny space. Not enough staff to keep the breakfast buffet filled. They have one lady doing all the work. The food is just reheated in a tiny oven. Awful experience all around especially for the price you pay.

I didn’t like that there was a lot of drinking men on the patio. Next time I will not be going there with my granddaughters. With drunken men lurking at them on our way in or out. There should be a designated place for people who drink alcohol but not on the patio where we have to pass to go to the pool area.

Typicap hotel breakfast. Tried in vain to have pancakes both mornings, but the batter ran out before it was my turn. Parking lot was packed, but the kind person at the desk told me I could park in an empty diamond spot as there were no disabled parking spots available. (Gem show downtown made it hard to find any room in town for under $300/night.)

If we come back to the area, we will only be staying here next time too. The staff was friendly and helpful! Daniel gave us great recommendations. The breakfasts were cooked well and the pancake machine was our favorite. The room itself was well-maintained and we had everything we needed.

Dianna at the front desk is amazing!! She found my purse in the lobby that I had forgotten after leaving for the airport- she called me and let me know she would keep it at the front desk until I returned to pick up- 😌

This hotel is older and needs to be renovated and modernized. We stayed for 3 nights and adjusted to the limitations and then began to enjoy ourselves. The bed was very comfortable. We had enough seating to accommodate my brother’s visits. I was glad I had brought plugs for chargers as I could use the sockets since there were no ports for chargers. Breakfast was acceptable. The staff were friendly and helpful. I think the charges were too high for what was there.

The look of it was appealing. I was immediately double charged. Over $1100 for 1 night stay. The pool was not clean. The hot tub was green. Nothing like the pictures. When exiting the elevator to go to our room immediately the smell of the smells of the halls were unpleasant. The carpets were in rough shape. After checking out till now 1 day shy of a 2 weeks after checking out I have not been refunded my double charge or my incidental hold. Messaged them and they said check your bank. The bank has nothing to do with it. As they did not put the hold on my money. The hotel did all no money back. Sad.

Good location, easy access. Shopping and restaurant's nearby. Bed was comfortable and pillows were fluffy. Small bathroom, but adequate.

Not too much Pool was not heated as advertised. Spa water was oily and loaded with too much chlorine and spa wasn’t hot enough. Pancake machine is a joke.

Hotel was nicely decorated and they went the extra with nice architectural details like crown molding and pillars. Breakfast was very good with many hot foods including protein choices that many other breakfast buffets tend to exclude. Sausage gravy and biscuits was exceptional. Pool and hot tub working, clean, and well maintained. Rooms had everything you could ask for with comfortable bed and both soft and firm pillows. Bathroom was small and cramped but likely because the time hotel was built.

The water in the shower was not hot, the shower curtain was ripped, the floor needed cleaning and a vac. Then the noise from equipment at night from was so loud we had to call the front desk. Finally the elevator broke and was not usable. I would not reccomend this to anyone.

At good locality The room. There was a nail projecting out of the floor at the high traffic area, when you enter the room, where the carpet starts. I stepped on it twice after coming from bathroom. It was quite painful experience. Told the front desk and he said it would be taken care of immediately, but that didn’t happen until my family and I were there for 2 night. Fortunately it happened to me first so I warned my kid and wife about it so that they are not hurt.

Hotel is a little dated and had a loose tile in the bathroom in an inconvenient spot. Otherwise it was clean and comfortable.

It was extremely noisy as we were right by the front desk, the elevator's and the pool. We got very little sleep because of the noise level. The breakfast was mediocre. tHE BACON, POTATOES AND SCRAMBLED EGS WERE all gone early.

Summary said there was a restaurant at the hotel. There was not a restaurant.

We didn't eat breakfast at hotel.

The only issue we had is that the hairdryer started melting and ended up throwing black liquid onto my neck and my hand which resulted in burns. Other than that, everything was good.

Also the bedding we got for the sofa sleeper had holes on the sheets and the blanket. When we asked for new bedding, the new ones also came with holes. The other 2 beds were fine and the breakfast was yummy. I think they should replace the sofa sleepers and beddings.

I would share that the hotel could definitely use some repair work and replacement of dated and worn out carpeting as well as fixtures and the elevator is a bit clunky. All in all we will certainly book with this property again in the future.

I just recently had neurosurgery so I unfortunately didn't go swimming but the pool looked clean, as did their jacuzzi. I plan to come back once I'm cleared to go swimming again. And having a microwave AND mini fridge was a nice touch.

This is nice hotel. I was disappointed as my fridge did not work, which I did not realise until the following morning when my waters were warm. My room was next to a maintenance/laundry room, which woke me up at 5 am with loud mechanical sounds.

I was in town for a university graduation and this is the first time I have stayed at this location. I was rather impressed with a convenient and location to get around easily. The hotel was nice and the breakfast was good. I would definitely stay here again.

Family of 6 staying and couch pull out was used. The couch sheets were dirty and had to get new ones also had to ask for blankets which we were giveb very thin sheets the size of a twin mattress. Pool was decent, breakfast was okay.

Hotel was in a good location. They let us check in early and had excellent customer service. The hotel itself is a bit outdated. The room was not terribly clean. We also did not have any hand soap in the room so had to use body wash. Could have been cleaned better.

Attended event at Rillito Park. Took us about 15 minutes to walk back! Not bad. Would definitely stay there again.

Great staff. Reliable. We always choose Holiday Inn Express when given a choice.

Pretty good but a little tired.

Arrived earlier than expected and they did what they could do to accommodate the early arrival. I was expecting to have to wait but was pleasantly surprised.

The staff was fantastic, the floor I was on smelled strongly of smoke. The room was okay, a bit dated and some damage to the floor/walls/furniture. Because of the staff, I wouldn't mind staying here again. For longer stays, though (was only here one night), I may look elsewhere.

This property is well located however, the room I stayed in was in need of serious updating. There was a soft floor in the bathroom cracked tile and actual holes in the floor. The carpet had suspicious staining. The staff was very helpful, however.

Heater didn’t work so room was really cold. Room felt old and dirty.

Very clean and welcoming. Breakfast is minimal and for a longer stay not interesting. Always dry scramble eggs and a few bananas!

We were in town visiting relatives who live nearby. This hotel was the perfect place for us to stay during our 2 days in Tucson: clean, comfortable, and convenient, with several good restaurants within walking distance. When our train back home was cancelled and we had to leave a day earlier than anticipated on another train, the hotel management cancelled our last night’s booking with no hassle. All the hotel employees were helpful and considerate. We’ll stay here again!

I also found a Guinness beer bottle under the bed, by accidentally hitting it with my toe. Thankfully I had sandals on! Who knows how long that bottle had been there? I didn't look under the bed any further. Otherwise, it's a very average hotel. I get it, it's a Holiday Inn Express, I'm not expecting the Ritz Carlton. But "Suites" is a stretch, when many regular hotels nowadays include a mini fridge and microwave. When I went to use the hand sanitizer dispenser by the elevator, the sanitizer smelled like sewage! I don't know how you get sanitizer to smell like that, unless it's years old, or not actually sanitizer. Oof.

Nice place to stay when you are in Tucson

We absolutely loved staying here and will stay here again in the future. I rated the area around the property 3 stars because there was a farm nearby. We only smelled the farm when we were outdoors but other than that, it didnt bother us. Just want to let others know.

The only con I noticed were no place to clean sticky hands in the breakfast area at all.

Great location, but the property was run down and run poorly. There was not enough food at the breakfast or utensils. Our bathroom floor was cracked and obviously had had a water leak as the tiles were lifting and loose. We had 3 people staying on the room, but they continued to only leave 2 sets of towels so we had to ask for another set everyday. One day we did not get maid service at all. The pool was dirty water was dirty and had not been clened of leaves and debri. The elevator was slow and stopped using when the doors would not open on the ground floor for several minutes. The staff at the front desk would not answer the phone. When went down to get problems addressed there was never anyone there to help and had to go looking for assistance. There was a whining noise in the room thst went on all night, thinking it was the water pipes. Definitely not worth the price we were charged and will never stay in another Holiday Inn!!!

It is conveniently located. Would stay again.

Hallway carpet could use replacing -- it had anodor. Ice machine was out of order.

The pool is dirty and the hot tub is filthy. The edge of pool and hot tub are broken and bees are flying in and out of broken tile.

I do not like the "Squat Pots" (toilets). I think they are built for people with extremely short legs...? I've never seen any that short before.

It was great location for my needs at the time. We had a 2 queen bed suite which is perfect for us.

All staff friendly and helpful, from front desk, housekeeping and the lady who prepares breakfast. Rooms clean and in good condition. Beds very comfy. Loved the pillows. Location good. Only improvements i could recommend would be hallway carpet needs a shampoo and outside windows need cleaning.

Great hotel, excellent service, friendly staff.

Perfect for a 2 night stay and visit to Saguaro National Park. Pool area was nice and shady in the afternoons and even had a hot tub. Delicious breakfast and lots of dinner options nearby.

Large dining are, good selection. 1st floor room was not as nice as my other rooms ( but nice) overlooking lobby area.

This was the second time we stayed at the hotel. I liked the location and how close it is to shopping and restaurants.

Pleasant staff, decent continental breakfast, easy access, good parking, plenty of dining options within walking distance. Nearby shopping. Didn't get refill of in room regular coffee or bath mat one day, but not a huge issue. Air conditioner on the noisy side. Smoke smell coming in my room from.an adjoining room.

The refrigerator in the room was warm. Put bottles of water in the refrigerator, four hours later not cold. The little freezer part was dripping water, the temperature knob wasn’t there. I didn’t call the front desk I just wanted to let you know it was happening. Thank you!

The stay was good. I would like to see the rooms be updated and kept in better condition. Some tiles in the bathroom were cracked. The carpet looked stained and old. The bathtub seemed to need updating. Breakfast was good. The pool and hot tub were nice.

The house keeper was saying bad word's

I had issues with cleanliness in the 1st room they checked me into but the staff was nice and changed me into a different room. The rooms are a bit dated but are okay if you just need a place to sleep. There is a strong smell in the rooms, it smells like a strong perfume. The smell ruined the comfort of my stay as I was getting headaches. I would not recommend staying here for people who are sensitive to smell.

Overall my stay was pretty good. Unfortunately some guest complained about my autism son . So our night was ended with an early check out . After talking to management he straightened out the problem we had . Gave me his personal number and we resolved the issue we had that night. It’s a great hotel and I appreciate the manager stepping in and making the right call on this matter.

Breakfast was great! The rest..eh. The pull out couch had some very unappealing stains on it to the point where I didnt want my child laying on it. Room was mediocre clean, but that breakfast was good.

Lovely hotel. Clean and convenient for us to the wonderful Tucson bike loop. Great and large elevator to allow us to take our bikes to the 3rd floor

They told us they were going to tell us when our room would be ready and they never did contact us. The bathroom tiles were broken and cracked- an accident waiting to happen. The place needs a MAJOR overhaul! Everything is old, worn out, and grungy. Definitely won’t stay there again.

Just as expected for mid week business stay. Two queens, sitting area and desk. Loved full size Dove products in bathroom. No trouble with tiles as in other reviews. Coffee very good and got me on my way to work

I always get nervous about trying a new hotel after reading reviews but would not hesitate to stay at this holiday inn express the next time I pass through Tucson! We had a little mix up with our reservation but Fernanda was quick to straighten out the confusion and followed up with a personal phone call to confirm early check in. Room was clean, beds super comfortable, breakfast was delicious and included many hot and cold options and the staff was constantly refilling. Location central to lots of activities!

Room 319 has a cracked and loose floor tile in the middle of the bathroom floor tile. When stepping out of the shower it is unstable, and presents a slipping and falling hazard. This should be fixed asap to avoid someone getting injured.

Couch and carpet dirty.

Although the front desk lady was very kind, the facility was very old, dirty (a big bug was found on the pullout sofa bed), the hair dryer was broken, the phone was not working, not enough cups in room, not much options for breakfast, etc.

Every staff member was so helpful and nice! The breakfast was awesome - thanks to Laura that made sure the coffee was ready and food stocked! Even on a very busy Saturday morning! I will stay here again!

Bathrooms very deteriorated, no hand soap. This hotel is in one of the best locations in Tucson can use a little touch up in the rooms.

The bathroom in room 201 needs repaair. The floor tiles and access to plumbing are broken. The shower and tub are deep calcium build up. The shower mixing valve is broken and loose. The room itself was fine, but the bathroom needs attention.

No drinking water bottle in the room. Had to fill water from cooler that was in the ground floor near lobby.

Lovely lobby - friendly and welcoming check in experience - room was very clean - bed was very comfortable - loved the in-room Keurig coffee maker, mini fridge and microwave! - room decor dated and no bedside power strips so had to unplug clock to charge cell phone if I wanted it beside me - which I did - a minor inconvenience. I would recommend an elevator inspection - it did not inspire confidence - after 1 trip only up to our room we then only used the stairs (very clean and well-lit stairwell) - the hotel is conveniently located to the Tucson Mall and many restaurants and stores - but it is such a bleak and charmless area. So - nice, CLEAN, welcoming hotel - in an utterly grim though seemingly safe area of Tucson. We left very early so didn't have breakfast at the hotel - but the breakfast area looked quite nice. The incredibly lovely La Encantada outdoor mall was only about a 12 minute drive away. The view from our room was of some sort of small cattle operation - the cows had ample room and shade in their pens and appeared to be in good spirits.

At check in there was only one very nice young man, all on his own, and very young. At one point there were 6 of us waiting to check in at 10:30 at night. A security guard kept interrupting the desk person which made matters worse. Oh and our room’s bathroom had black mold in it. 248

They made check in a little bit difficult. Maybe front desk could have a little more training. Other wise good breakfast good property clean room and we had a good night sleep. for being a member late check out was still very “early”

We were told by the hotel there was a shuttle and there is not. Plus I was supposed to be charged 137 and I was charged 167.

Check-in was easy. Staff friendly. Breakfast was fresh. The hotel room was Clean and the beds were good. The only issue i have is the Hotel could use a little repairs. The toilet was not bolted down. The Shower need some new walls. They werent dirty but looked like they could use some tender care.

Carpets need cleaning.
