The check-in experience could have been better as well. The receptionist did not provide complete instructions, and we did not feel welcomed with the warmth and hospitality we expected. The one positive aspect of our stay was the breakfast, which was enjoyable and offered a good selection. I hope the hotel addresses these issues to improve the guest experience in the future.

We stayed two nights everything was clean and comfortable. The place had a very relaxed vibe. There was good parking. It wasn’t too expensive. I fully enjoyed my stay and have no complaints.

Woke up at 2 am with a bad sewer smell coming out of the bathroom. The door was shut. We used wet towels to stop must of the smell. Moved to outer room and did the same thing with that door. When we checked out and told the morning desk person. He said sorry have a cookie. And that was all. We left not to happy. Worst hotel stay ever. You should expect more from Hilton

The Doubletree Hilton is in a good location. The property is in need of updating. The elevator at the property is clunky and hasn't been inspected for years. The tub and sink in the room were clogged. There were broken railings near the pool. The staff at this location were great. They were all very helpful! The breakfast is very good and staff were excellent.

Room was not clean. I saw empty soda bottle under the bed and mirror had fingerprints. The breakfast does not have alot of options.

The room: bed was comfortable, bathroom was dirty and not well maintained and very small. The carpet was falling apart and the sliding door would not close completely. The AC worked well and the room comfortable.

Personally, I have stayed at other Double Trees and this was not to any of the standards. Very sad they do not take care of this property better. Especially with the location.

The fact that I reserved a king room was given a queen double queen and My Husband is over 6 feet tall so that didn’t work out very well. The room smelled horrible.

check-in was annoying. we arrived at 3pm and the room wasn't ready, and we were told there wasn't another room available. we were told to return at 4. we returned at 4:30, and the room still wasn't ready, but THIS time another room WAS available. after a long day of traveling, this was annoying

First room we were assigned smelled like literal death. We actually checked the closet for a dead body. Front desk sent a handyman (Tyler -was very polite) who brought a little machine to pump a gross air freshener into the room that he called "a housekeeping toy for some of the mustier rooms..." That upset my daughter's asthma so we requested a room change. Only other room available was a King Suite, which meant one less bed than the room we paid for. Because the first room was so awful we didn't have a choice but definitely feel like a discount should have been offered as we now had to configure sleeping arrangements with one less Queen bed. The pool on Friday night was so packed that you couldn't even fit in the jacuzzi area. There were 2 traveling ball teams and they were so loud with different speakers and were yelling and roughhousing. We were scared one of our young kids would get hurt so we eneded up going back to the room. No one from the hotel was monitoring the fact that there were obviously more people in the hotub than should have been for safety purposes and no one came out to tell the other guests to turn down their music (with profanity--this was at like 7pm mind you, not super late night) or to tell them to stop running and diving into the pool (which clearly had many no diving signs posted). The breakfast on Saturday and Sunday was fine. The staff was nice and the food was adequate but identical each day. ICE agents EVERYWHERE! Lots of unmarked vans in lot.

Property is in an ideal location. I was happy to be in the middle of town. The one bedroom was very spacious and I was pleased that it stayed quiet/ peaceful. Front desk staff was very pelasant and got me checked in quickly. The rooms felt a bit outdated. While it was clean and linens felt fresh, the room itself felt like it was due for a refresh. Maybe brightening the walls, or something to that effect would allow for a more modern feel.

The pool was nice and the breakfast was really good. The staff was friendly and the beds were fairly comfortable. The room was spacious offering my family of 4 room to sprawl out. Considering I paid $789 for a 2 night stay, I was very disappointed. The room smelled like mildew and backed up drain clogs, stains all over the carpet, tattered curtains like a cat lives there, and didn't feel thoroughly clean, my toddler found what I think was a liquid dayquil pill, a dirty fork, and a sharpie under the bathroom sink. The window on the first floor opens all the way on one side which felt unsafe as it backs up to the parking lot. The bathroom wall where the shower head is was bulging out suggesting water leaks but was just painted over. The hotels on cortaro are a third the price with the same level of hotel, save your money!

We couldn’t find any carts and I asked for help they would tell us to go point to go over to the corner of the hotel and get it ourselves when we don’t know the grounds I found it kinda inconvenient

Anytime I am in Tucson, I stay here. I appreciate the location and the spacious and clean rooms. Not to mention, the staff that I encounter are also so kind and welcoming.

The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The room was somewhat outdated. Toilet would only fully flush if you held the handle down through the entire flush cycle. The bathtub didn’t drain very well. It was difficult keeping the room temperature constant. Our room was located close to the laundry area so it was really noisy early in the mornings.

I was charged twice . Booking.com charged me the correct amount while Doubletree charged me a higher amount. I contacted Doubletree and they still have not corrected the billing issue. Would not recommend

Rooms were large and accommodating. Had all the essentials. Despite the size and available comforts the hotel and room were definitely showing its age. Restroom and shower were small and overall cleanliness was mid tier. Could be a nice facility with some major renovations to the rooms but it was priced appropriately.

Great location. Walkable to Starbucks, grocery and restaurants. Only 15min drive from the airport. This is basically an outdated motel. but the staff was excellent. The breakfast was standard, not horrible not exciting. Room rate was good, includes refrigerator and microwave and living room. The rooms face the pool so it can be loud.

It was amazing. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was beautiful and well kept. The pool area was amazing especially at night. They had an amazing buffet breakfast that came with the hotel. Overall it was great!

Overall it was nice. Spacious room and very good breakfast! Could use a ramp to get to the side left of the lobby to be more accessible for wheelchairs and even the luggage rack vs walking all the way around.

Our stay on 09/27/25 was absolutely fantastic, we were greeted with freshly baked cookies upon check in, hotel staff down to breakfast staff and house keeping were very nice, rooms were clean, roomy, pillows and beds were comfortable, any need was met immediately. There is a $75 holding fee that was refunded immediately after check out. Swimming pool was sparkling clean hot tub was just the perfect temperature. Breakfast was a buffet style with the option to purchase different options. Overall our family of 5 were very impressed and will be back!

Cute hotel but definitely needs updating. Never saw security and didn’t receive cookies upon check-in. There was black dust all over one of the beds from the a/c vent. Will not stay here again.

We were in town visiting friends, so just needed a landing pad, a place to hang out to recharge when we needed a break from visiting, and a good shower. The pool looked great, even though we didn't have a chance to use it. Would love to have a voucher for a meal other than breakfast, as we are not big breakfast earers. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. The bed was not the most comfortable, but was fine for three nights. Would stay again.

Checked in and the shower in the room did not work at all. No housekeeping to check on it. Had to move rooms at 11pm. Then got to the second room and the electric outlets in the room did not work. Could not use electric. Front desk laughed when I told her the shower was not working.

The property outside was nice. The pool was sparkling clean & cool ( especially for August in Arizona). The rooms need to be remodeled. They are extremely outdated. We had issues with our ac unit to two rooms. We had to move twice because the ac units broke. We woke up in the middle of the night with no ac. They did give us points equivalent to 200$ for the inconvenience. That was a nice gesture although my nightly rate was 135$. I don’t think I can go back there. The staff was very nice though. The rooms need a better cleaning. I found a dead bug in one room.

The property was on the way to a great ratong. But on night two the ceiling leaked rainwater into our room. We had to use buckets. Told them at checkout. We should have received some form of compensation as it happened again on the next rain.

First off the didn’t know where the cart for the luggage was at our room was at the 2nd floor and she said either way the cart wouldn’t go to the 2nd floor so we Carried all our luggage upstairs. Next my pillow had a hair on it. Then the shower was dirty you can tell they don’t scrub the shower floors all dirty I had my kids wear sandals when showering. The pool was dirty. Never staying here again.

Clean room, suite was a nice size and a full fridge was great. Breakfast was good and convenient, they even served chia pudding! They served 2 free dinners which were family friendly during our stay which included an adult beverage. Very convenient and a good location to get to Ocean and Mission beaches and sea world.

Hotel seemed rather dated. From the front desk to the entry ways. Couple of homeless guys next to my car parking lot. The room was clean. Ice machines were far away and took a while to find. The whole layout of the hotel was rather quirky. But again, the room was clean. Shower worked fine ☺️

Desk person said she would have maintenance look into it.After approx an hour no maint and no relief. Called the desk again and requested another room as this was unbearable. With my first use of the bathroom sink the water would not drain. Another call to the desk. We came into the room at about midnight There was blood stains on both the sheets and the comforter. Also in the livingroom there is a large painting artwork with a big blood booger dried on it. This hotel is old and dirty. Will never recommend

When toilet did not work we were moved to another room very quickly. I appreciate the sense of urgency. Stuff happens and how your night clerk handled it so efficiently made it just a minor inconvenience. Everyone employee we encountered was polite and courteous. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location, large room, excellent pool and spa, good breakfast and bar. Could be cleaner but this place really works.

The shower rust on the bottom of the floor. Shower walls were not clean. Carpet was filthy. The whole hotel is outdated.

This is more of a motel than a hotel. Furniture in the room is cheap and in ill repair.

The pool area is fantastic and the property is layed out great.

The bathroom was really small and the tub was showing its age. Nice that there was brick walls between the rooms. Never heard anything from the room next door. The breakfast they offered was pretty bad. First morning all the hot foods were gone and had to wait for more. No hard boiled eggs, or a pancake or waffle maker. Second morning couldn’t get a bagel, they replaced them with wheat bread that morning. It was an unexpected treat at checkin to get cookies. The hot tub was clean but could have been a little hotter.

We were there 6 nights and our room was serviced 1 time. The breakfast was misleading. They provided nasty eggs and any meat or bread you had to pay for. Or it was always closing early. We couldn't figure it out. Staff was nice. The room was nice and big.

I’m only half way through my stay. I needed to extend. The entire staff I have encountered have been nothing but kind and courteous. And accommodating. I became ill on my trip and they have done what they can to make key exchanges and even a room change as quick and easy as possible for me along with well wishes. I will definitely be staying here again.

This hotel is not up to standards! If this is really how the Double Tree Hilton hotels are I will gladly stay at the Embassy Suites. Right when me and my wife walked into the room there was a sour smell to it smelled like feet the towels looked dirty glad I took my own. The carpet is old and needs to be taken out some spots of the carpet was missing door to the restroom was coming of the hinges like wow really this is supposed to be the Double Tree Hilton and it looks like this. NO THANKS! 3 Palms and and the Comfort suites were way better then this. The breakfast at the Comfort was way better then the one at the Double Tree. Had a 3 night stay and only stayed 2 days couldn't take it anymore and was not comfortable at all.

Jasmine did an EXCELLENT JOB checking me in after a little issue (not her fault) but she felt with it as if it was. for her first day on the job, she killed it. She was and is definitely much appreciated.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were all very friendly. The room was fantastic, it was large and very quiet. Will definitely stay here again.

The room was spacious and the staff were all friendly and helpful. We had an issue with the door which was not locking , but they sent a maintenance worker over immediately to correct the problem. Staff working at breakfast and the front office were all great.

Lovely suites and property. Friendly front desk and restaurant employees. Good dining options nearby. Only issue is it is NOT near I-10, if that is important to you.

The bathroom in the room was beyond anything we had ever seen. We could not even step foot into the shower. It was stained and moldy and inexcusable.

The room door malfunctioned and wouldn’t let us renter the room. It could not be fixed until the next day so we had to switch rooms. A little inconvenient…..

The staff is friendly overall but I was initially given a key to a room that was already occupied, then given a key to another person’s room, and then had to wait 5-10 minutes to get back into my room after I was locked out (even after being granted a late check out). I’m appreciative of the friendly staff and their help in resolving the issues I had, but this was not what I’d expect from a Double Tree property, especially as a Hilton Honors gold member.

Our kids love staying at double trees bc of the cookies at check in. This hotel didn’t have any cookies the 2 days we were there and said they hadn’t for the last 3 days.. something that should’ve been looked into considering people know that’s a tradition at check in. No coffee in the lobby an hour past breakfast and the coffee was empty at the end of breakfast and no one would refill it. The room smelled terrible. Like mothballs and Lysol. Very strong odor. The property looks great from the outside. The pool is nice. But the rooms could definitely use some updating. The bathtub was in need of repair and had rust and damaged areas.

Breakfast was good Staff was so nice and helpful Rooms were older but clean and spacious Only problem we encountered is that the bathtub wouldn’t plug for the grand babies to take a bath. Carpets need to be cleaned in the rooms.

Easy check-in process, front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. The area us ok, just east of downtown. Entrance to the hotel from the street for cars is awkward. Overall, I would stay there again!

We woke up and had no water, we could not shower or use the toilet, the whole hotel was without water, they gave us 2 mini water bottles to brush our teeth and have a french bath. I went to the lobby and asked for a refund or coupon and told me that they couldn’t because i had booked through a third party, in this case, Expedia. Also the room had 3 lamps that the bulbs were not working so poor lighting inside the room!! They had no idea when the water was going to be running again. So, yes, the lady didn’t do much to help us.

Very spacious room. Good for families

Our little family has stayed here twice And the rooms, beds and towels are always clean. All appliances work great and there lots of breakfast options. The carpet could be updated. But other then that we know we enjoy our stay and will be back.

Room smelled smoky/musty when I checked in, but it was clean and very spacious. Smell got worse when the AC was running. Smelled like mold at times and sewage at times. Parking options are not great either. Staff was very friendly though.

This is my second stay here, and both times I found the people to be a highlight. The room is large and clean. I will definitely return to this location again. It’s unique look and happy staff make it memorable.

We stayed here for a couple of nights while driving to California. Overall the property was nice, I loved the feel inside the property- it gave resort vibes. The waitress at the restaurant on property is fantastic and so sweet and the front desk staff was helpful. The area outside of the hotel is pretty rough and not somewhere I’d necessarily venture out into at night unfortunately but the hotel itself made you forget where you were at times. We really didn’t leave much between the pool and restaurant (the complimentary breakfast was fantastic). Hotel linens could use a good cleaning, there were stains on the curtains and couch, including pillow, that were kind of gross. Overall we had a good experience and would return.

We had booked a room for three nights and had to cancel the third night on day two of our stay. The hotel didn't offer any options such as a refund or to change the dates of stay. Poor customer service by the hotel, but kudos to my Expedia representative, who tried to help with my issue.

I had to switch rooms because the first suite I checked into had a horrible odor. They graciously moved us into another room which was fine. I won't book there again based on the room and location.

Worst hotel and experience our family has ever had. We reserved a room poolside got there did not have a room for us. Gave us a room on the second floor now air conditioning put us in a different room on the second floor. They said they’ll get us one by the pool the next morning the next morning Manager said don’t worry we got you taken care of sorry for the inconvenience. We went school shopping came back. They told us sorry we don’t have a room on the bottom floor by the pool for you again put us on the second floor again. People partying till all hours of the night drugs going on there one of the workers came by and beat on our door because he said he thought it was open and I asked him. Why did you do that and he told me because bad things happen at that hotel, what the heck we are at Hilton that’s why we went to a Hilton so it would not be like that

Very warm, friendly welcome and efficient checkin by Alan complete with best warm choc chip cookie. Nice rooms in good condition, bar & grille with tasty food, great compĺimentary breakfast. Have enjoyed several stays here and will stay again.

Great property

I’ve stayed at this hotel since I was about 10 years old with my parents and now with my family. I really do enjoy this hotel and the amenities. The only part I didn’t like too well is that there was no pancakes or waffles for breakfast. You had to pay extra, plus there was cream cheese but no bagels and the juices always seemed to be empty. Breakfast has really changed at this hotel from 20+ years ago.

Cleanliness could be improved in the property. Carpet was dirty on arrival. Hot tub spa timer was not working. Food was great :)

This was an overnight trip from our road trip from LA to Texas. It wasn’t the best hotel but it provided a bed for the night

This was an older hotel, but it was clean. It is similar to the Embassy Suites hotel but the rooms are open to the outside. The staff was friendly and there were no issues. The free breakfast was nice.

Well there was a roches in the first room they moved us and the roof was leaking so they gave us 50 credit at the restaurant. No refund because booked with a third party contacted third party and all they did was give me 25 in key cash we paid 234 so 25 key cash is nothing compared to the money spent. I will say i did not eat at the restaurant but the pool and hot i give 5 stars very clean

Not in a nice area. One of the doors was being held closed with tape. My family did not feel safe so we moved to another hotel. They would not give me any refund at all.

The service was excellent. We arrived 2 hrs before the check in time. The manager was very friendly and accommodating to our request if we can check in immediately since the wedding that we came for starts at 3 pm the actual check in time. We travelled almost 8 hrs straight and anxious to get ready asap so we can make it on time. The welcome cookies were so yummy. We were able to check in and the rooms were very big and spacious and clean. The breakfast was delicious. If ever we come back again in Tucson… for sure we will be checking in to this hotel.

Water stopped working. Everyone had to use lot of effort to get shower working. There was no dolly to take luggage. Not double tree standard

Clean, safety and good place

I accidentally left 2 jackets in the closet of my room. I realized it during my flight and I called the hotel as soon as I landed after the first leg of my flight. The person at the desk sent someone to check. The room had not even been made up yet but the jackets had been taken. I cannot recommend a place if the cleaning staff cannot be trusted. I’ll never stay here again.

Needs some fixing particularly the bathroom

Got there at close to 1230am and there was a guy on his scooter checking the back gates like he was trying to see if the door was unlocked then walked off. Other than that the suite was nice and large. Plenty of space to move around.

Gorgeous pool area, architecture charming. Bathrooms tiny, rooms older. Same breakfast each day-pleasure but with no variation.

They even have a pet turtle the roams around the grounds!
