Great stay! Clean and comfortable. Staff, especially Haven, at the desk were helpful and polite. Asked for a specific room when I booked reservation and it was waiting for me when arrived. Pool was fantastic as was breakfast. If there was one note to make it would be better selection on TV channels. Will always stay here when in the Roanoke area!

All in all, it was good stay, but I do have a complaint about the booking process. We found the room on Expedia and it was advertised at an all in price of $95. That was tax and everything however, when you go to book the room, it jumped up to 115 with tax and everything. I questioned it when I got to the hotel and they said it was an Expedia problem. I questioned it with Expedia and they said it was a Hotel problem. Either way I paid more than I expected.

I am writing to formally express my disappointment with my recent stay at Comfort Inn and to request a refund due to the poor experience I had. From the beginning, I experienced rude and unprofessional behavior from staff, which made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable during my stay. Customer service is a major part of the hotel experience, and unfortunately, the treatment I received fell far below reasonable expectations. I was also disappointed to discover there was no pool available, which was one of the amenities I expected and part of the reason I chose this hotel. In addition, there was a very strong paint smell coming into the room that made the environment unpleasant and difficult to tolerate. The odor was overwhelming and greatly impacted my comfort and ability to relax during my stay.

The hotel was clean and convenient to the interstate. It is a no-frills place to stay for a night or two. Comfortable bed and clean bathroom.

The think that turned me off the most was the way the woman at the reception treated this customer about needing a credit card for incidentals. He claimed his company was covering all the charges but she argued he was mistaken. Who knows who was right / wrong but she spoke rudely and loudly (so I could hear at the breakfast table) and clearly didnt beleive him. She needs a lesson in customer service. This difficult conversation should have been handled quietly and with respect.

The breakfast was good, but the microwave is tied up much at the time by the staff. Either the microwave to heat breakfast items was broken and they couldn’t afford another one, or they never thought about it. With all that said, what did I expect at that price point. That’s on me

Front staff was very nice and professional, we did not eat the complimentary breakfast, because the bed was too comfy and we slept in most days. ? Enjoyed our stay in Virginia. Would stay here again, our next trip in!

Room was clean, but the temperature in 314 would not get the room as cold as we like it. Check-in process should move faster and a greeting goes a long way. We travel between NY and FL and we have literally stayed at this location 26 times in the last 2 years. The hotel is newer and clean. It depends who you get for the check in and out process. This hotel is filled with contractors and transient guests that expect hot coffee and breakfast. The last 3 stays have failed on providing either all while watching the receptionist sitting at the desk as if it not a big deal. These were all new faces to us, so it could be new management. We're still unsure what member of mgt came up with ultra small 5 pillows for a king bed. This does not add to comfort, but everyone knows this. Nonetheless, we have had better experiences. Hoping this was a fluke.

Plenty of fast food places close by, and more if you don’t mind driving to the other side of Troutville. There is a DG close by, and a Walmart across town (close). We ate at the Cracker Barrel near the hotel and it was very good. Please note: if you are staying for a short time, ask for housekeeping at the front desk. Not a big deal post COVID but just be aware. If you have a longer stay, they hit your room on the third day automatically. All things considered, I would absolutely recommend this Comfort Inn. 10/10

Newly renovated, very clean. Quiet, safe location. Comfortable beds, not too soft. Breakfast was standard hotel food but hot and fresh. Hotel staff and manager were very friendly.

But they had a colony of ants in the rooms first time was in hallway at the bathroom and refrigerator was so bad it got in the extra food in microwave and was a line up and down the wall. This last time we were on different floor and at first everything was fine but woke uo to ants all in our clothes and and on bed. When I tried to non chalantly tell the clerk about it so I didnt cause problems she just basically was saying sorry and would get maintenance on it. Didn't even try to really sound sincere that I was bombarded in bed with ants

We stayed 1 night as we were in town for a baseball tournament. It was a quick stay. Room was clean, breakfast was good, staff was nice and helpful. Only problem was a noise coming from the vent all night that kept me up, I informed staff and they were going to address it. Otherwise, great stay and would stay again.

The room was spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. The water pressure was great at the sink, but the shower pressure was lacking. Be aware the bathrooms are equipped with tubs with shower heads rather than walk-in showers.

The hotel was clean and looked like it had been renovated recently. Breakfast had lots of options. Unfortunately, our toilet had some problems. Even after staff plunged it, it continued to not fully flush. I personally found the small square pillows uncomfortable and woke up with a sore neck. The layout was a bit odd as well, with nowhere to hang a towel to dry your hands by the sink. Overall, it was decent for the price.

It was good. The main suggestion is to improve the elevator! It’s very slow and loud, and there’s only one.

I really appreciate the free laundry room. The pool seemed to be a bit murky. We appreciated that the pool was open until 10pm.

The front desk clerk was exceptional. She was very helpful answering our questions. The hotel was clean and comfortable.

Nicely refurbished but the AC unit in our room seemed old and was very noisy. Elevator was noisy.

The room was discusting. The blue chair that is in the room has brown stains all over it, not just a small spot or two… huge brown stains everywhere. The bathroom was dirty the sink outside of the bathroom was very dirty. Very disappointed because it’s usually a clean place to stay.

One night stay traveling with dog. Very pet friendly. Cleanliness was a bit lacking. One of the chairs in our room had something on it and the floor was a little dirty. Bed was very comfortable, fridge bathroom and main room were a decent size.

We only stayed one night during our trip to Atlanta, GA. After a long drive, a comfortable, clean room was exactly what we needed. Though our stay was short, we appreciated how quickly we were checked in, and the check out process was just as fast.

AC was quiet and worked efficiently. Our room was very clean and well organized spaces for our travel bags. The lighting was excellent, with great reading lights & desk dimmer lights. Breakfast was well stocked lots to choose from. Enjoyed my stay.

The layout of the room was well thought out, with plenty of electrical outlets, including USB ports for charging devices. I didn’t get a chance to use the pool, but it looked nice and clean. Very pleasant stay. When checking out, the clerk asked how everything was, which clearly shows they care. They also asked if I needed a receipt, a small detail, but it reflects a strong customer service-oriented approach. If I am in the area again, I will choose this hotel in a heartbeat.

I had dirty tissues behind my bed, I put my towel down on a chair in the room it ended up smelling like animal urine, we got thw hotel for the pool for family the pool cut my sons foot it had crumbly things all over the bottom it had peeled paint from the patio in the pool floating around the whole 6 days i was there. They cleaned patio area but not pool. Staff was great an accommodating

Brief but enjoyable stay

Close to I-81 coming from Vermont to Florida. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Wish they had larger pillows. Some slight road nose, but I’m sure could not be helped due to the close proximity.

A gentlemen who was already there said he’d bee waiting 20 minutes for eggs. The attendant was having a hard time keeping the breakfast bar stocked. We just ate other things and were OK.

It’s close to where I needed to be. I didn’t realize I booked a suite style room so that was a fun surprise to walk into. I will say the room is kind of empty in the main foyer/kitchenette area. Looks like they just didn’t know what to do with all the space. Bed was comfortable and clean. The decor and vibes are pretty drab and sterile but it’s just for sleeping so it’s fine. Breakfast had good options for on the go. Will be staying again

The bathroom was not clean and the toilet had poop on the side of it. I never said anything as I want in my room but a few hour to sleep each night. Of course I should have. I have been staying here when I come to visit family for the last few years but this was my last stay at the hotel. The room I stayed in was 210.

The hotel was very full, only four rooms left and still they made the room change/move, and were really kind about it. Handled very professionally. Wonderful breakfast. Highly recommend.

This is our 3rd time visiting and every time, the front desk staff is always friendly and pleasant. Room is clean and very comfortable. Breakfast always has a nice assortment of food between kid friendly cereals to scrambled eggs. And we love making our own waffles!

Hallways needed vacuuming .. loved the amenities in the room- microwave, fridge, coffee maker etc..but no darkening curtains on the windows-just sheer curtains..beds and pillows were great!

We stay at this location at least once a month. It’s always clean and we have friendly staff. The only down side is the noise. You can hear the rooms next to you. If someone talks or slams a door it’s like you are in the room with them

I was surprised by how nice the hotel was kinda out by itself away from the city but have no complaints at all.

It is very new construction or just remodeled. This area is very convenient and safe. The room is very clean and comfortable but while here only one nite, found 2 live stink bugs and 1 live spider on crawling wall.

I was here for one night. Decided to extend another day because this place is on point. As a hiker, the comfort is too notch. I extended this morning with Haven. She was bright and friendly. The breakfast a delish with lots of options. The pool will be revisited today and I look forward to turning in tonight, that bed is amazing!

It's newly renovated, still have the smell of the paints. but overall, it's clean.

Will probably stay again when in area.

Comfy bed and great breakfast.

The wifi login is cumbersome, requiring logging in, then watching a video commercial prior to joining. The clerk said there would be cookies and coffee available until 10 PM . . .when I went to the lobby at 8 PM there were no cookies. When we returned to the hotel at 9:35 PM there we no cookies available. Why say they would be there if there was no intention of having them?

Showed up a day late and they charged me one night and canceled my reservations for 2 nights i went to check in just for the one night and they told me my reservation was canceled so i had to pay the one nigjt cancelation fee which i was fine with. Now they are telling being the reservation got canceled i am only getting back a half night refund for tuesday! I already paid the cancelation fee of one night on monday so i dont k lw how they are taking an additional half night fee also!

Clean room, staff was great, pool was super cold though.

The hotel was good. We enjoyed dining out and had many options to choose from. Parking was easy. We had a lot of noise from the room or area above us. I had trouble sleeping as the noise started around 10pm and by 3am I got a bit grumpy by the noise. It was not terribly loud, but the ceiling creaked with the noise, and I just had trouble sleeping. I would not stay at this location again in the future although the noise was probably only a random occurrence.

AC was so loud we had to turn off so room was warm. Pillows are these very small half pillows/super uncomfortable. We would not stay at that property again. The holiday Inn next door we have stayed at and will stay there next time.

We had a very nice stay at your hotel. Flo, Tanya and Deep gave great customer service. Two things I noticed. The rooms were very nice. But the shower curtain should be better .And in the parking lot some light bulbs need to be fixed. We would definitely stay there again..

Clean room. Only downside was I could not use the tub to take a bath. The plug did not function properly.

The staff was very helpful. The manager called us to let us know they found something we left in our room. We were able to pick it up. We didn't realize it was missing and were grateful to get it back.

Nice hotel

For a quick overnight stay this was perfect. Room was a little small, but had lots more storage than we needed for an overnight stay. Everyone was very pleasant and friendly. Breakfast staff was prompt and industrious, keeping the breakfast bar clean and full.

Given Room was very smelly and it was used for Pet - Dog Smell in the room - went to front desk told that room is not clean and she said this room was never used for pets - she walked in the room and agreed that room has pet smell - Before she had no room available and then after she verified. All of sudden room was available to switch -

Great place. Our room was huge!

Initial room missing things (cable box, trash cans(?), coffee table. Front desk immediately moved us to another room, where everything was fine. Otherwise stay was quite good. Breakfast was good, room clean and comfortable. Staff very courteous and professional.

There were bugs on the desk where they keep the sugar. Clock was not plugged in and could not find the plug. (Not that I needed it). Nancy at front desk was very nice.

It was very loud- I could hear the neighbors next door and the people above me

We have family nearby and this location is our go-to place to stay when visiting. Always clean and pleasant. Comfortable mattress, and spacious room with AC that works.

Not the nicest hotel. Rust stains in the tub. Pool water looked off. Leaky ceiling in lobby with a bucket under it. The phone was not connected properly and I had to move the wires around to make it work. No beer at the concession. Elevator very slow. Not a good overall vibe. The Fairfield Suites on Salem was much nicer. I stayed one night at each on my departure and return trip from Charleston.

Wonderful stay - clean room and friendly staff

The poor clerk was on the phone when we checked in, but after completing it he was nice enough. The room is ok. Smelled musty upon entry and the carpet felt damp to our feet. The light in the shower flickered slightly which made for a queasy shower but the bed was wonderful and the room was spacious and comfortable.

Clean and comfortable hotel, breakfast has some good options and the staff is amazing. Pet friendly too! Comfy beds are a big plus!

One of the best overnight stays ever. The hotel clean and fresh inside and out. The staff were professional, helpful and kind. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had.

Arriving late night Front Desk attendant was friendly and helpful which is not always the case with overnight staff. Hotel and rooms are in great condition. Would stay again.

Do an annual trip south and this is always are first stop. Great staff, very accommodating. The rooms are very big, we are a family of 5 with 3 teenagers.

This was my second time at this hotel and jt was once again a nice experience.

The room we stayed in the AC did not keep room cool and was set on 64 degrees

Awesome,Homey hotel. Free cookies and lemonade in the lobby. Room was clean and comfortable. Only issue was neighbors thought they were the only one's there. Slamming doors and running in and out constantly. No fault of the hotel though.

Denise ( I hope I got her name right ) is so pleasant and kind. Offered my son(3) fresh cookies and talked with him, just a very personable and sweet women . Check-in was a breeze , room was super clean, and so was the whole hotel. Nice area too.

easy access.... but did not like the fact that the morning we left the desk manager acted as if we were too late for breakfast... when there was 30 min of time left... she acted like she asked someone that we heard working in the kitchen area ....and then she told us it was too late. And that they didn't have anymore egg omelets anyway.... well for that reason alone we will not spend our $$ at that location again.... We were the paying guests ! not them ! the attitude was that we dont matter!!!

We had no hot water for the shower. The water was barely lukewarm.

I loved the comfortable king bed with 5 great pillows. Like Goldilocks, I don't like a bed that is too soft or too firm. It was just right for me.

We stayed 1 night at this hotel and the staff was great, very friendly and helpful. However, our 2nd floor hallway had a conspicuous odor that lingered the entire time we were there. I understand the hotel staff cannot be responsible for this so I am not sure if anything could have been done.

Parking was convenient plenty of places to walk. My puppy dining options were a few choices. Staff was great, polite, helpful, courteous.

Perfect spot for our trip.

I found out their electricity had been out for hours. WHEN I RESERVED the hotel they had no power. I wish they would have told me or halted reservations. Couldn’t shower in the pitch black. Had to hike up 3 flights of stairs because no elevator. Can’t charge anything. Hot rooms because no AC. No room key so if I left the room I was locked out. It took over 5 hours from when I checked in to get electricity. When I asked for a partial refund they said they can’t because I booked third party. That’s just BS. They should have done a partial refund.

Front desk was helpful, clean comfortable room. Breakfast was good “best eggs at a hotel in a long time”. We would stay there again.
