Staff was amazing. They made me feel welcome and at home. Very professional and I genuinely felt like they care abut their guests. I will come back just because of how well the staff treated me and my brother. Waiting with me til my car arrived , super fast service when ordering from restaurant etc so many compliments I have for the staff. Location is great too literally right on the beach!!! Hotel does have very hot running water and bathrooms are very clean. Rooms are on the smaller side, but efficient nonetheless.

When we decided to leave my husband found another one in the closet. Unfortunately he only took 2 pictures. But I wouldn't go back nor recommend this place to anyone who dislikes roaches as much as I do. Forgot to mention the first two we saw when we arrived from the event. We had room service before leaving, and left some plates on the table, when we came back I saw one a small one and killed it, we went for a walk agan came back and another one. We called reception and were told to leave the plates on a table by the hallway since restaurant was already close. Yup that was our terrible stay at Jatay Playas de Tijuana.

Its close to the beach The fact about somebody, who when in my room and took some of my property. They need to check who they’re higher because they’re stealing. Other people Property is not good.

The staff was really nice. The place was really clean. They’re very accommodating and I would stay here again.. There wasn’t one thing I did not like about the property.

The close proximity to the beach was the only good thing about this location. This hotel overall was sub-par. They want to call themselves a 4-star hotel but the rooms were just ok. They also charged us $150 for a "stain" on the mattress; it felt like a scam since it was in a area frequented by tourists. I even witnessed them trying to pull the same predatory tactic on another American couple. I would highly encourage visitors to look elsewhere. Del Mar would have been better; at least they include a free daily breakfast for their Booking.com customers. One of the receptionists was highly unprofessional and rude. The hotel has a bad vibe. It looks elegant on the outside but completely lacks soul on the inside.

It’s really nice place to stay! Especially the beach is right front of the building, and staff was really nice! Worth of my visit! Would highly recommend to come here! NONE!

It’s right by the beach ! Rooms could be cleaner ? sadly I had to change my room because the bathroom smelled extremely bad due to the pipes. The second room had no window ! The staff was very helpful and friendly! Breakfast was great ! ?

Unbeatable beachfront location across from a big entrance to the malecon. The views from the restaurant and elevator are stunning. Food and entertainment are close by, a 7-11 across the street, with easy Uber drop-off and pickup. Comfort and cleanliness of room and rest of hotel premises were excellent. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Offers spa massage and beauty services. Excellent in-house restaurant menu. Felt like a combo boutique-family hotel, fantastic alternative to big-brand hotels. Totally would stay again. All Mexican hotels have single-paned glass, and the hotel is close to an outdoor beach-level dj/dance area that starts up early and goes all day, so not a quiet location if you’re looking for that. I had a hard time with the LG tv remote, even to turn it off; the red Off button did not work.

Bathrooms nice and spacious. I think the hotel should advertise (dont charge more) their ocean view rooms.

The picture of the room shows a view of the beach. On the standard room once we got there I ask for the room of the beach they told me it’s additional $25 extra. I told them it shows on the Expedia web site they said it was wrong. And then I ask for extra blankets we never got them. Room check out time was at 12pm by 11am they were already knocking on the door even when the sign says don’t disturb they open my door when I was still in the room changing.

Room is very clean and comfortable. Shower is very strong and the hot shower is very good.

The staff was very helpful and friendly, the room needed attention we had stained sheets on one bed and holes on the other bed. When we turned the AC it’s started to drip profusely. We did not stay for the entirety of our reservation.

Horrible, we only had two towels no extra soap, shampoo, blowdryer no usb ports, no fridge and lots of noise. Only got one breakfast coupon and it was not early enough to go, checked out prior.

Room was super outdated, sheets loked and smelled dirty, stains on pillows and sheets, real noisy, and to top it off roaches in the restroom and roach droppings around the bed frame

The gentleman that helped us bring our things to our room was very friendly and courteous. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was pretty good. Liked the closeness to beachfront and restaurant options near by. Felt very safe. Had to leave one night before because we had a family emergency, but would definitely return.

Unfortunately, the location made me feel unsafe and the beach area had too much trash left behind by the visitors. I feel it was a sign of disrespect for a beautiful location to enjoy a day at the beach.

So I was blessed to stay an extra night and I did get the beach view however the only obstruction is the people on the beach and all the performances Thursday Friday and Saturday nights and they're usually out there sometimes past midnight then it finally gets quiet. But it's still a beautiful view and when it does get quiet you can hear the sounds of the ocean loving you to sleep the hotel is absolutely Immaculate the service is impeccable the food is delicious this is my first time in Tijuana and it didn't disappoint!!! The front desk staff Mr Alfredo and the lady that works there the kitchen staff Gabriel is amazing everybody's so kind and friendly and accommodating I felt like I was with family :-)

Half if not more of the roooms did not have a windows. Very few toiletries. Cable service kept going out.

Well I did not get a Beachview room but it's across the street from the beach but this is one of the most Immaculate hotels I've been in excellent service excellent food

The property is ok but the front desk personnel was totally tactless, when saying that if they found blood or any other body fluid on blankets or towels they would let me pay for them as they need to buy new ones. Before me there were more guess checking in and neither of them were warned about it as I described. As soon as I entered the room given to me I checked the linen. The bed spread was burned, it was changed for a second one stained from bleach. The towels …. Well not looking good. The housekeepers tried to do a good job but nothing help me feel better. I just stayed because I paid in advanced and that was my first time in Tijuana. (My last time in Jatay Hotel)

While the staff was great the management was horrible. He berated one of the staff members in front of me and my children during our breakfast. The rest of the staff was very accommodating. The beds in my room were 2 doubles. They were extremely hard like sleep on a wood board. The room was very small. They did clean it daily and provide 2 bottles of drinking water daily. My car was broken intobin the parking lot. Luckily a security guard stopped the incident. The view of the beach was very good.the hotel restaurant was not good. The food was cold.No taste at all. There are many better restaurants in the area that are cheaper and tastier. We stayed 5 days and found a lot of better places to eat. There is air conditioning in the rooms but they do not use it in the hallways or elevators. Next time I am in town I will stay at a different hotel. Again the staff was wonderful but the hotel itself was life staying at a prison instead of what is supposed to be a relaxing get away.

The staff were grwat check in quick and easy. Room was clean. Only part that was not great was the view. When we opened the curtains our view was of what looked like a storage area or trash area.

Everything was pretty good, though their “continental breakfast” was not too continental or free. I was made to pay an additional $100 pesos to access their buffet.

They had to change our tv cause it didn’t work, phone in room didn’t work had to walk downstairs to request an iron, when i checked out. They sent a person to the room to make sure everything was ok. So i had to wait on it

The rooms were quite adequate, the restaurant ok. The surrounding area was old Mexico, restaurants and beach.

The hotel was clean and the staff were superb. The underground park was sparse but they had plenty of parking in another secure lot next door. The bathrooms were spotless and the shower was amazing. All and all, the staff from the parking attendant, bell hop and front desk were kind and friendly`. They didn't roll their eyes when I couldn't speak Spanish that well.

The room was clean the a/c worked great. Water pressure was better than my house. Room service was very fast even at 4/5am and check out was easy

Great location, easy access to dining & bar hopping. Beds are hard as the floor. If you are looking for peace & quiet, this is not the place. Please upgrade your beds so I can return. Hotel restaurant is great too.

Only thing missing was a blow dryer, hand towels, and wash clothes but loved the location and the hotel restaurant.

The bathroom had a strong odor of sewer coming from the shower drain. The wife and I both developed a headache and upset stomachs. We had to cut our trip short by one day. We will not be returning to this hotel in the future.

Great location if you want to go to playas Tijuana , place is clean , staff is nice , my only complaint is the bed mattress is hard to sleep in. If you are going with kids and you don’t want the music sound at night ask for a room in the back not in front of the beach.

The place is decent nice and for the price is good the only thing is that they need to work on their customer service starting with the Valet person as i think that hes the first one to greed and make you feel welcome they give you a complementary breakfast but when i went to get i did not feel welcome the person that was in the register completely ignored me with out saying anything till i told him i was trying to get the complementary breakfast

We had 2 rooms, 1 with 2 queen beds and 1 with a king bed. They were both nice but I did notice ours with the king bed had no chair or trash bin in our room like the 2 queen room. The rooms also have no mini fridge so just keep that in mind. Our room was next to the stairs and you can hear people in the hallway passing by. Location was good, staff is very friendly and the hotel is clean. The parking felt safe and secure. They have a couple of spaces under the hotel and then right next door they have a gated area.

Excellent location, near shore, beach, places to do shopping; some minor details with the lighting and outside noises but overall good place to stay and take all the good things of a beach atmosphere vibes.

The shower is big enough got water. The only thing that I didn't like is the carpet looks dirty and the blankets on top looks with stains of oil or something and the towels are old and smells bad.

Our door lock was not working, so when i called reception, somebody from maintenance came and said "oh yes, its not working but it will be fixed until tomorrow", i was travelling with my daughters and felt powerless & unsafe. we had to move a sofa in order to lock the door.

Playas de TJ. A bit noisy with hotel staff on the 3rd floor, felt super safe w/all the police presence. We would stay here again, but on a different floor and maybe a view of the outside instead of the hallway would be nice.

Our room experience was horrible. The wi-fi didn’t work at all, I called the front desk, they said that they will reset the system but it never worked. There was no hot water, we had to shower with cold water in the morning. The AC did not work at all, it was extremely hot at night to top it off the AC light was ON the whole night, it was like sleeping with the lights on. Our window view was their back stock area, full or toilet paper, mops and cleaning supplies our beds were also very hard. I’m have never left a review before even with bad experience because I don’t like to talk negative instead I love to help business but this was very very upsetting :(

The property itself was clean and well located. Tons of places to walk to. The only caveat is that the rooms on the south side are next to all the music and noise. And on the weekend it goes on late into the night. Otherwise it was a great stay. The restaurant upstairs has good breakfast.

Great location, just over the road from the beach with a 7eleven and plenty of restaurants and bars along the prom. There isn't that much to do in Playa De Tijuana but I found it more relaxing than the Downtown area.

No housekeeping if you stay longer than a day unless you exit your room by 8am. Isn’t cool if you want to sleep in. Complain and was told we can provide you with clean linen but you gotta make your own bed. Also not cool. Plumbing wasn’t good the sink and shower was clogged up. Overall not a good experience this time.

The property matters not against the headboard, cold as hell no heating! Power to the elevator and building went out twice for two whole days. Loud music late at night from nearby clubs! Poor room service!
