Another good stay at Hotel Catalina. Like always very clean and excellent service. Second time staying in room 15. I forgot why I wasn’t to please last visit. This room has a very tight bathroom. Unable to sit on toilet and close the door normally. Outside noise was much better this time.

I have been staying here 3-4 times a month for a year. The hotel and rooms are clean. The rooms upstairs are big and roomy. The TV is new and has all streaming services. The satff is always nice and helpful. Hotel Catalina is my favorite affordable hotel in downtown TJ.

Comfortable and there's always food outside.

Everything ok!

I always stay here when I'm in Tijuana. I think it's a great hotel for the money.

Hotel has rude employees with made up rules of not allowing other people in. I have stayed there before and my friends had always been allowed but not no more. Hotel has window that allow all the noice from the street and music from the club cannot get a good rest with all the noise
- 4/5
I had a really good stay, definitely will be coming back
- 5/5
I dig the easy access to many points of the city. If you know how to get around you can catch the taxi bus from here to Rosarito and back. You are also one block from the main Revolution street.

Las sabanas se sentian pegajosas y el alrededor no se siente seguro. No vale el precio gasten $10 o $15 dolares mas y podran conseguir algo mucho mejor.

Perfecto hotel!!

I’ve stayed at this hotel more than 8 times. I had a minor issue where I had to cross back to the US, leave my stuff behind in the hotel. I had a reservation booked and asked if I can pay it when I come back to Tijuana (5pm, which I’ve done before and they let me) they told me no just take your stuff come back and check in! One receptionist in particular always gives me a hard time, the others are nice , kind and treat me with excellent service during my stay.

The staff upfront was very helpful.

Good hotel for the night.

Good for the price: nice, simple. clean, basic, friendly, although next time I will ask for a room with windows that do NOT face the back of a major, very loud dance club!

Nice no complaints

The room was suffocating no windows but it was cheap it was ok but I don’t see my self staying here again

Not recommended. Definitely not if you’re black. They will purposely make you feel not welcome. On my very last day, I woke up in the morning to find my wi-fi connection cut off even though I was technically supposed to leave at 7 pm

Cleanliness throughout the property

Great property!! Only 1 block from the "main strip" Revolution. All the employees were very friendly, the property was very clean and easy to find. We really enjoyed our room we had in the corner and had a view of the street. There were plenty of channels to watch on the tv and the water in the shower was nice and hot. It was great to have a convenience store right next to the hotel and lots of food vendors around. The only down side is that there is no elevators, which makes it hard for someone who has a problem walking or can't take the stairs. Other than that everything was GREAT!!!!
- 4/5
Room was clean didn’t smell like smoke. Buttons on the tv didn’t work, and the wifi was spotty in my room I had to use data
- 5/5
The whole experience was delightful for me...easy to walk to different places that were nearby, restaurants...
- 4/5
No laundry
- 3/5
Location was convenient, however, if your room faces the street, the noise never stops. Our room entrance was soaked with water. The hotel provided a heater to help dry it but after 36 hours, it was still wet and smelled horrible. We requested another room but due to the 3 day weekend, the hotel was full. No compensation was offered, however, they did move us to a clean room on the 3rd and last night. I think, considering we paid for clean and quiet accomadations and got a room that stunk to high heaven, there could have been something else to offer to help make us think we were treated fairly. I will avoid staying here again.
- 3/5
First thing I found before sign in is that there is no parking for the hotel, you have to pay for it and parking is across the street, so you have to Carie everything that you need from there to the hotel. Room was clean.

In the heart of centro TJ

The reaction from the staff was quite awful, no sympathy or empathy. One laughed and said this is how TJ is.

- 5/5
Nice stay place is very clean inside looks rough outside and area around but it is really ok and safe Reveloucion blvd 1 block away lots resturants shops places to walk to
- 3/5
On checkout they they tried to tell me that blood on the floor in my room was because of me (it was there when I checked in). Next they wouldn't return half of my deposit because my friend wiped makeup on her towel and they claimed it is difficult to wash out. Otherwise the room was fine but be careful.

Very nice employees here always willing to help the maids will help in any way and are very friendly they keep the entire motel clean room is always clean.

There are 2 folks at the front desk that do an outstanding job. Marco and Karina. Thank you for the great hospitality.

- 5/5

The front desk was helpful with any thing they could help 1 block from Revalution blvd the area around looks rundown but all the people around were helpful and friendly

Good value, air conditioned room in a good location
- 5/5
It was great the room was very clean and air conditioning and also great customer service
- 3/5
I checked in as usual got to my room a realized the room wasn't the one i had PAYED for. I had payed for a king room and the clerk had given be a single king room. When i went back to mention that to her she still questioned if i wanted the bigger room. The hotel is on a very busy street corner and the very outdated windows didn't keep much of the noise out.

Very noisy day and night. Unfriendly staff
- 1/5
The room had a awful smell of sewage !!!
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly! The ONLY issue there was was flies in the room...lots of flies!
- 4/5
Amazing service! Everyone working there is very nice and friendly. Room is good for the value. There was some smoke smells coming in from the other rooms (I think ventilation was connected or something), but it wasn't too bad. Free wifi and cable is a huge plus given the value.

Paid for and was promised king size bed but when I arrived clerk told me they do not offer king beds in any rooms. Still charged me full price. Room had no AC just a loud fan.
- 5/5
Staff was great and for the value of the room it was great, ill be back again.
- 5/5
Surprisingly, it was nice and clean considering it had carpet on the floor. Not a fan of the carpet hotels. Anyhow, price was really cheap compared to other hotels. I think this will be my new hotel from now on. It is next to an OXXO. Next to a barbershop. Close to many little businesses and about a block away from the bars.
- 3/5
The service of the personnel was not attentive. My room had small animals. The room was extremely stuffy.
- 4/5
I have stayed here before, and I tend to sleep well here. My only complaint is that I was awakened early by people talking and laughing in the lobby and there was construction being done on the room next door the same early morning. Loud, echoing lobby voices is common in inexpensive Tijuana hotels in the morning, so I didn't think it was such a big deal, but I wish they had done construction on the room next door later in the morning. If you stay here, I would recommend that you ask to be put in a room away from the lobby area. If you have trouble sleeping in a room with only a small window to a corridor, then you might want ot ask for a room with a window to the street. The trade off usually is the noise level is higher in the rooms with windows facing the street. I have stayed in the same room by the lobby, and have slept very well.

First off my wife wasn’t aware that it was a reservation you book online summit your card information and then pay at the hotel. Spoke to expida there was no way of canceling the reservation they wouldn’t take the money from the card we provided to rent out the room, only if we never checked into the hotel they would collect the money from the card provided that was used to book the room. Hotel staff were all very uninformed about there policy no one could answer a question what so ever.

Upon checking in I noticed that the lobby was clean, brightly lit and a pleasant space. I was promptly attended to and given a room right away. Online it said that there would be AC in the room, but when I got to the room it was just a ceiling fan. Not a big deal in November, but potentially an issue in the summertime. The room itself was small but very clean and comfortable. For my purposes (just a place to get some quick sleep) it was perfect. The location is pretty convenient if you’re looking to enjoy downtown Tijuana. I would recommend the place overall!
