The worst hotel experience that I've ever had. The beds were hard, the covers were dirty/stained up. The hotel smelled of marijuana. The rooms adjacent and next to mine, fought all night long and I mean fought. Loud screaming and pounding on the walls and doors. They were asked to leave but refused. The worker didn't follow through. Breakfast offerings included four pieces of bread for toast and coffee. The waffle dispenser was empty. When we asked about it, we were told that's what they had. We did complain to the front desk and was told they would look into it. I would not recommend this hotel.

Overall, the location was good and clean. I did not like breakfast. They put out very little breakfast and it was all carbs except for 3 small yogurts at a time. There were 2 mini sausage biscuits (only 3 packs at a time). Very sparse and all food was gone at 8:30 am. Staff told me they were not a buffet but they should have enough food for guests. I paid for breakfast in my room charge and it was very limited for a diabetic.

I would give this place a 4 overall if the room was just simply clean. I started my experience off nice checking in with the lady at the front desk. Super easy and simple! I went to my room and this is where the reason for my 2 star comes in to play. I walk in and you can tell the rooms have recently been updated which was good. My problem started when there was a giant dust web hanging on the ceiling… after that I put my stuff down and as I do at any place I stay, I inspected the bed. The sheets did not fit the bed at all. I had 4 pillows 3 of them were unusable due to the fact that they were 3 years old and sweat through with stains. The pillows were yellow from how disgusting they were. One of my pillow cases was not clean at all. Had dirt and black marks on it. So I had one usable pillow that was up to date and clean. I still wrapped one of my clean shirts around it and slept in regular clothes to feel at least safe to sleep there. Next which is not a huge deal, the toilet was clogged when ai first used the bathroom, so they never checked it to see. And the biggest reason for leaving this review is because there was a USED giant red band-aid on the floor right next to the bed. This is absolutely disgusting. I do have pictures…

The night check-in lady was always pleasant, and the new management is working to update the property. Those were all the positives. The towels provided had small hair embedded all over both sides, the microwave didn't turn because the wheel was missing, there was a newer iron but no board to iron on, the a/c couldn't keep up with the outside heat, we were missing a pillow, there was hair painted into the wall, the walls and doors were extremely dirty, there were small curly and long strands of red hair in the tub, on the ice container tray, and surrounding the floor outside the tub. Inside the tub and on the desk pubic hair was found. We had an issue we are still waiting to resolve with getting double charged. The absolute worst was my child picked up a dirty, used tattoo needle that was on the floor near the bed. I wrapped it in tissue and plastic to bring down to the woman at the desk and the ink bled a bit, so it was fresh. The woman didn't even take it, told me to come back later to talk to the manager. The manager was nice, but tried to blame previous management. I stand by my statement that dirty towels, hair all around the bathroom, and a dirty needle is a current issue. I hope it was taken seriously and that steps are taken to improve the service as much as they are attempting to improve the building itself. There has still been no concern for my child to see if she was injured - this includes from the hotel, the manager, and from Choice Hotels who I also contacted.

Behind all the fog of truth is that this hotel is a step above the truck stop experience, and appears to be what it offers...a lowest cost alternative. Found a few cob webs in the room, some debris around the base of the bed, but it slept - The towels and sheets were all clean, but dingy. The non-smoking room was clearly smoky. The breakfast quality was entry level - diluted juices, apple/orange, "waffles". It's great for a man stay, but not a family stop in my opinion.

This was almost the worst stay at a hotel that I have ever had. The request I made for adjoining rooms, was ignored. And when I asked again the next day for adjoining rooms, I was told that the room was already registered for someone else who will be arriving. Then on Sunday, upon checking out, I was told that they didn't know who to adjoin my room to. But I reserved two rooms together with my name and my niece name, so those are the two rooms that I wanted to adjoin. Then every time we left our room and came back, Our cards were deactivated. We had to keep going to the front desk to activate it and the manager was standoffish and kept saying we must have deactivate it with our phones, which I kept telling him we didn't. I did not have a shower curtain in my room and my room smelled of stale smoke. We had to go through the hotel to track down the luggage cart to move our luggage to the room. There was a small smell of marijuana in the hallways. I would never stay here again.

The staff was very friendly which made up for the shabbiness of the hotel carpet and furniture. The breakfast was very good and the 9 yr. old I had with me liked the pool.

Hotel was on a dead end street and far enough from I-85 that it was very quiet for sleeping. Front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. I met all three women covering the desk on 8 hour shifts. All were pleasant and easily available. Rooms have a small microwave and refrigerator as well. Hotel rooms were repainted and carpeted in summer 2015 and lobby was refurbished as well. Breakfast included and was adequate with coffee, juice, waffles, toasters, pre made biscuit's etc. Room was clean, bathroom needed to be caulked around the sink. Large gaps in counter tops seen. Shower was good. King bed was very hard and thin. Off season rate was great in my opinion.

This was the worst experience I have had ! First the door was open to our room, then the door won't lock. The room smelt so bad we had to turn the air conditioner up all the way to get the smell out! The hair dryer didnt work and the vent side was full of lint! The toilet overfilled! And the ad said breakfast buffet- they had two pieces of sausage and one egg! We had to eat separate because the door won't lock! The general manager said he couldn't help us because we booked and paid on hotel. Com!!

Only one thing that could have been better. While we were at breakfast, the cleaning staff entered our room and removed the sheets and dirty towels. Our things were still in the room and I think it would have been much better if they waited until we were checked out to enter and start the cleaning process. We were pretty organized, but if we had left things on the bed, we might have forgotten to get them when they were moved because they took off the sheets and spread. Other than that incident, all was good.

Just passing through on the way somewhere else, so this was great value for a quick overnight. Easy location off the highway, decent breakfast including fruit and yogurt, and very pleasant and helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again.

Shabby hotel sorely in need of updating. Obvious water stains on the ceilings in the lobby as well as the room. It took me 30 minutes to check in. The handicapped bathroom was not what I expected: merely grab bars. (I was expecting for a walk in shower). The toilet leaked constantly and by the end of my stay it wasn't flushing at all. The toilet was stained as well. The bathroom door would not latch, which was OK since I wasn't sharing the room. The bedroom: Wallpaper falling down due to water stains and old age, including rips in the paper. Fritos from a previous guest kept appearing on the carpet. Turns out, housekeeping didn't vacuum under the bed. Did not get a newspaper one day; could have been the result of the snow hindering delivery. If I had not been snowbound, I would never have stayed the full 3 days. At least the bed was comfortable, and I brought enough food so I could stay on the cheap.

What's to like? It took the clerk one half hour to get me checked in. She was nice, but obviously new to the job. I elected to stay in the 3rd room shown. The bathroom door could not latch, which was OK for me since this was a single booking. Fritos crumbs mysteriously appeared each day on the carpet; the source was under the bed I slept in, beyond a vacuum's reach. The toilet was stained and kept running 24/7. By day 3, it wasn't flushing at all. The "handicapped" status was not, to my mind, adequate. To them, it meant lots of grab bars. One still had to manage the hurdle of getting into a high-rimmed tub. Handicapped, to me, means wheelchair accessible (I walk with a cane; cannot lift one leg easily). Obvious water stains on the ceilings in the lobby as well as my room. Wallpaper was patched in the bathroom and coming off in the bedroom. The only good things were: the bed was comfortable, the TV worked, the breakfast was OK (but I wonder how old the eggs were?), I had a free newspaper 2 out of the 3 mornings (snow storm = delivery issues?). I would not stay in this hotel again if they paid me!

This hotel could use better outdoor lighting and some updates (burned carpet, tired mattresses) plus an elevator. Staff was nice though, by overall it was pricey for the value.
