Parking cost $5 dollars a day which is ridiculous and breakfast wasn’t great and the air conditioning sucked you had to keep it at 72 and it was hot! Not worth it!

The stay was amazing but I think you need to request house keeping to clean your room we were there 3 night no house keeping.

The hotel is clean and has helpful staff. The location of the hotel is close to main highway which is good.

The room was comfortable, spotless, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The amenities were great, and I especially loved how peaceful and well-kept the entire hotel felt. The location was also perfect and made it easy to enjoy everything the area had to offer. After a busy Arizona adventure filled with sightseeing, hiking, and exploring, it was the perfect place to come back to and unwind. Every part of our experience was wonderful, and I would gladly stay here again on a future visit. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Breakfast was out of the main courses really fast, I think it needs to be watched over every 5 mins. So we don't have to wait so long to eat. Other than that regardless of the food I will be back. Outstanding place and I loved it. Everything was outstanding, wasn't in the rooms long because we were out mostly.

I like how it was very clean and apartment looks. Paying for parking that should be free.

I manage Airbnb's, and have trained 50+ cleaning staff. This is one of the very few hotels, cheap or expensive, where I felt like they did a better job of cleaning than we would have done. Room was super clean, staff cared! pillows were was fluffy and plentiful, and I was upgraded to two -King suite which was very handy. Bathtub, and water pressure was just OK. But otherwise he did a very lovely conversion and the pool and the ground is very comfortable. Breakfast was surprisingly good, coffee also very good.

I had a pleasant stay overall and did not experience any major issues. If anything, a few more breakfast options would have been nice.

We were there for 5 days and they never came and asked us if you need anything. The last day we would have been out of toilet paper and we wanted to ask for fresh towels. We were told that we had to pay an extra $5 daily to park. I have never in my life been charged at a hotel to park my vehicle unless I was doing like a park and stay to the airport. The pool in the hot tub seem to be well maintained as well as the exercise room.

The suite was very spacious and fit our needs. While there were a couple maintenance issues, they were resolved. The breakfast was really good. It was conveniently located in Tempe, so it was easy to get to and from.

They are liars, I called them and told them that my flight is late and I will arrive late they marked me know show and canceled my reservation in middle of the night

Everything was good the lightning walking in between thw building should be working but its not. Despite that put stay was very good with the exception of my check out day. We tried to grt food prior to heading out. It was exaxrly 723am. We had no idea the breakfast started at 730 because we saw someone eating in the dinning roo. The employee that was setting up was extremely rude. There are ways of telling people in a courteous manner. She had none and after being treated that way we decided to just walk out.

Staff was rude when asked for receipt they told me I had it from the third party. I wanted to see the parking charges and the reversed deposit charge. The coffee in the morning was never available. If you know it is a holiday why not have two containers of coffee.

Check in was quick and easy, front desk clerk was so nice and helpful. I loved our room so much, clean, comfortable beds and spacious. My only small complaint was the water in our room took awhile to get hot but I plan to stay here again on my next visit to town.

The location, even with homeless people walking around star — Disappointing Experience & Unprofessional Staff I’ve stayed with Sonesta before and had good experiences, so I gave this location the benefit of the doubt — but that was a mistake. From the moment I walked in, the room smelled strongly of cigarettes and urine, which was unacceptable. I should have complained immediately, but I let it go. To make matters worse, I was charged for stained sheets with absolutely no proof or documentation provided to me. I understand that accidents happen, but without evidence, it’s not fair to charge a guest — especially when linens are washed between every stay. When I called to inquire about my deposit, a front desk associate named Allison was extremely rude and hung up on me — not once, but twice — while I was calmly expressing my concern. That level of unprofessionalism is simply unacceptable in hospitality. I did speak with a manager named Antoinette, who was at least willing to listen and said she would address it with staff. I appreciate that, but the damage was already done. I won’t be returning to this location. If you value clean rooms, fair charges, and respectful service, I’d look elsewhere.

No room service - we were not told room service comes only every 5 days out you hand to request it the day before. Additionally I called in advance and was told I could use 2 different cards when I checked in 1 for the deposit and 1 for the balance and was told that was fine. Got to the hotel and then was told I had to use 1 card for everything up front and then they could split the fees after check out which made no sense to me. Hotel wasn’t bad if you’re looking for something basic with safe feel. If you’re looking for anything extravagant then this isn’t you’re go to. 6/10

had an overall average stay at Sonata Extended Stay Suites. The room was clean, which I definitely appreciated, and the hotel served its purpose for what I needed. The breakfast was decent—hot and fresh, which was a nice plus. The employees were very kind and receptive, and their customer service stood out in a positive way. While the property isn’t anything fancy, it’s a solid option if you’re just looking for a simple, comfortable place to stay. Overall, it met my expectations and got the job done.

I was just there for overnight but loved the stay. Room was spacious and with kitchen with stove, fridge, microwave and coffee machine. Plus cups and plates. Very clean and nicely arranged. Breakfast was very well arranged and plenty of options. Absolutely love this hotel so far.

Room 0211 was bad smelling. They didn’t want to refund or give one night free. I was getting sick and only one employee was trying to help. He moved us. To room 1011 very thankful of that. Upstairs was very noisy room needs to be upgraded. But thankfully we had a place to sleep

The only thing stopping me from rating this place a 10/10 are the t.vs and WiFi. The tv.s are very old models that are unable to play Netflix, and the WiFi isn’t strong at all. But other than that, everything else was amazing. Great location, kitchen and huge living room area, and very spacious 2 bedroom 2 bathroom. One more thing though, I didn’t like that one of the employees allows their huge dog into the main lobby area, the dog is super hyper and the woman/employee was letting the dog get too close to people, not everyone trusts a random dog. But if that corrected those few issues, everyone would be perfect.

This 2 bedroom apartment with a full kitchen, fold down sofa in the living room was absolutley perfect for our group of 3 adults and two teen agers. The location was perfect for an early morning deaparture from the Mesa Airport. Would strongly recommend this property.

As a female solo traveler i felt safe, but note there was outside access to where my room was in building four, but the area seemed okay, i walked around during day no problems and at night to the convenience store no problems. Pool and hot tub were nice.Id suggest this is great for families or if ur staying a long time, but I enjoyed my one night there.

After almost 35 minutes of this we heard her call someone on the ohone saying she gave them our room and they had to move. Next day we left to get food to return and our keys didn't work. Had to go to the front desk and get new ones which they were way nicer and kind. We asked to pay and the lady the night before used some other guest credit card to pay and everything seemed a mess. The room had trash left in it and the carpet was sticky.

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything we could have needed was in the room or walking distance. Staff was nice and approachable. Lower stars on breakfast because when we got down there it was very crowded and most food was gone. So, maybe get to breakfast as soon as it starts. Lol. Would stay here again and would recommend this place to anyone.

Safety. The door latch was missing screws, i had to go to office to have it fixed. I found old nlood stains on bedding and believe it or not a fake eye lash stuck the the bathroom door frame.

Room was really bad. Torn furniture, dirty stained bed sheets,dirty fsce towels broken refrigerator, filthy carpet and then they had the nerve to try and scam me out of my deposit. I called 3 times and was told a manager would call me. I'm still waiting on that call. One front desk Lady in particular was very rude to Guest who were spending their hard earned money to stay there..Some of the WORST service I've ever received.

What started as a speed bump was quickly resolved at the end of the night. I did have trouble checking in as card readers for deposit was out of order due to weather. I had to leave but on my return I was able to have everything resolved and checked in. I unfortunately did not get to enjoy the included activities, however looking forward to booking again for a longer stay next trip out!

Did not try breakfast. Room was amazing. Called front desk for hair dryer, they said nothing up front but will check with housekeeping, didn’t get reply.

On top of that, for three nights in a row at 3 a.m., they tried charging my credit card a total of $420.33. When I called the front desk, the woman acted like it wasn’t a big deal. Only after I threatened to block my card did the charges finally stop. The problems didn’t end there. When we checked into our studio suite, the kitchen dishes and silverware were filthy, covered in food. We stayed for five days, and when we asked for basic cleaning—just the bed and towels—we were told they only clean rooms once every seven days. That meant we had to change our own bedding and grab our own towels. This hotel ruined my vacation. Not only did they try to take money after I had already paid, but they also failed to provide even the most basic cleanliness and service. Do not stay here

Sonesta ES Suites Tempe. Their customer service was poor, weren’t very helpful or friendly. I booked the room for 2 adults and 1 teenager, no bed sheets or blanket for him to set the sofa bed only 2 set of towels we needed one more set. We couldn’t call front desk because the phone wasn’t working. We had to go down to lobby and request what we were supposed to have in our room. When I asked if we were going to have room service (to clean our room) they said straight out “no, is only done on Thursday. The only good thing about staying in this hotel was close to were we needed to go for meetings.

Pictures must be old. Room was very rundown. Even had other "guests" violently arguing outside window. We even left a day early with no credit given back for checking out a day early. Nor did front desk even ask if everything was good with stay just quickly took keys and said thank you like ok were done. Very unhappy

Step back into the WORST part of the 90s! Our pull out bed had red stains on it like someone had been murdered on it. They didnt have blankets for my kids on the pull out so I had to go buy them from marshalls next door. There are lot lizards (people that are sketcy) just hanging out in the parking lot getting the free wifi. Drug use everywhere on the property. Rooms were not clean, towels were super stiff. No hair dryer and dollar store soap in use. This place is trash. Save yourself the trouble and dont book here.

The front desk staff was friendly. My lady friend and I received no complaints for the noise attendant with healthy “meetings”, we had a clean and comfortable bed, bathroom, and fully stocked kitchenette. Our possessions were undisturbed while we were away for one evening, and I am grateful for the privacy we were afforded.

Very clean linens! I stayed two weeks. Very welcoming lobby area. Bed was very comfortable. The mattress in the pull out couch was horrible. Within a hour after reporting, a new mattress was provided. The breakfast menu was on repeat yet satisfying. Praise GOD. The ladies that work the breakfast area are kind and efficient. Give these ladies a tip! Calm and quiet area. Many dog lovers, but didnt see any dog poop on the grounds anywhere. I only wish they provided coffee in the lobby throughout the day. CON: Do not depend on the laundry room.

And I don’t know if some hotels room service needs to be requested but this one you have to let them know 24 hours in advance. Never been to one like that. That was irritating

So upon.arrival it looks like little apartments which is very cool actually. Check in was quick and easy. Got to our room which was quite easy to find. The room seemed clean, Beds were comfy. We did seem to have a gnat problem in the room and some surfaces were sticky. The front door didn't seem to want to close properly even after trying to pull it shut it wouldn't latch. If you let it slam shut then it would latch otherwise i was able to push it open. You have to pay to park on site which is only 5 bucks a day. Water pressure in the showers was good and there was more than enough sleeping space and sitting space for the 5 of us. Staff was nice ,we didnt get up in time for the free breakfast it only runs 7am to 9am . Check out was quick and there are plenty of places to eat nearby.

Great location! A lot of things within walking distance. Nice, clean room. Felt like being in your own apartment. Office staff is very friendly. My only complaint would be that there was only 1 working washing machine and 2 working dryers but it wasn’t really an issue for me because nobody was using the laundry facilities when I went to do my laundry. I stayed for 2 weeks and I would definitely book again.

Room wasn't as clean, restroom had lose tile, towels were never changed and they didn't clean my room throughout my whole stay.

I was pleasantly surprised with this gem of a hotel. The room was clean and very spacious and included a kitchenette. I will definitely consider this hotel when I need a hotel stay.

But…The slight stairs on the way in to check in are not lit, I tripped going in, didn’t even know they were there! I never fall, my toes and back hurt, my shoe went flying. I told the front desk I tripped and asked if that happens often, she said her uber food driver fell there a night or two previous and she felt horrible for them. I worried if an older person fell there they could’ve got hurt a lot worse than I did. I hope they add a light right above the stairs or right on those slight steps. I just didn’t expect them there and in the dark they’re not noticeable. Our room was ok, it did smell funky, kind of musky. In the morning when we were packing up to shower and leave, I found the bathroom vent had black mold all over it! At check out, I let the front desk know about the vent with mold. She said “ok I’ll let them know” and that was it, kept working not very much reaction. I’m not a complainer, I debated on even leaving this review but I do think these are 2 big enough issues to need to say something and I hope that do something about them.

The room was average, nothing too special convenient at best. The drain didn’t work and although I left the room equivalent to how I left it, I did not receive my deposit of $150 back. I more than likely won’t be staying again.

Overall very nice place, clean, staff was very understanding upon asking for lower level suite due to elderly family member.

Room was full of mosquitos and we all got multiple mosquito bites just from one night! I killed 5 of them in the bathroom before bed too! Staff helps with nothing and you have to drive over to the lobby to get things like an extra blanket as there was no bedding for the pull out sofa.

The hotel double charged a deposit on the second booking of my stay. The staff then lied to the expedia rep and said there was only one charge when they reached out. In total, there were 3 charges of deposit to my account at a single time. I did not book again once this occurred.

150 dollar hold was ridiculous

I don’t believe my room was properly cleaned before my stay a lot of the dishes that were provided were still dirty. There were stains on the bed and floors which were not made by me. I also left with itchy bumps on my legs from sleeping in the bed which weren’t there before my stay not sure if it’s the detergent or whatever the case maybe regardless i’m left with itchy bumps. Another thing was that neither the wifi nor the TV in my room did not work.

We like the location staff is great especially Jayme at the front desk. We did loss power twice. There was a humming of and on in our room and the hot tub was not hot at all. Over all I would recommend staying here and we will stay again.

The pool was very dirty. The neighborhood is not safe. You have to pay for Parking, They said has security, but I never saw anyone in 4 days. Check in and out process fast. Across street an Outlet Mall, very nice.

I really liked the suites; they were spotless and very nice. Above all, the person working at the front desk, Alison, was exceptional. I made a mistake with the date when I made the reservation, and Alison went all out to help me fix the Issue. However, Expedia made it very difficult and problematic to get the money to Sonesta. I took at least one hour for Expedia to get their act together so I could get into my room. I demanded a copy of my driver's licence, which Alison had to take a photo of from her phone to send to Expedia across the world. It made the situation very difficult. Alison was very professional and exceptional. Expedia was complicated and unreasonable.

Loved my stay. Super cozy and affordable! Has everything you need: Pots, pans, utensils & more. Would definitely book again when im in town.

Very subpar. It did the job but it could have been much better. I’ve never been asked to personally exchange towels by hotel management before. Plus it’s in a shady part of town.

I liked the upstairs. There were just smokers by my room. Didnt really mind cause I used to be a smoker, but others would have frowned. I liked the room setup. The stairs were a bit unsafe, but manageable to get up and down. The breakfast always seemed to be out of something, but what they had seemed fresh. Pancakes only available on certain days. Stagfvwas always super friendly

The staff was extremely nice and helpful. I stayed in the 2 bedroom suite and it was perfect for me and my family. We were right on a main street but I didnt hear any outside noise. I will stay here again!

Toilet kept filling, which is why the water line was off when we got in. One of the vents was filthy with visible dust.

Where do I start? This area isn’t safe and the lack of elevators to get to the second floor especially when you need them. There is no way I would be able to carry my 7 month old with luggage across the property and then go upstairs. When I called the front desk I asked about handicap or ground level rooms and I was told “we must be out”. I should have known better to have booked a room in this area. It is not safe even with the security guards in the parking lot. Couldn’t stay in the room cause I couldn’t get to it. Waste of money. Never again!

Nice place

Thebroom and property were great. The staff that checked me in was great. There was an incident that knocked out the power leaving no lights or air conditioning in Tempe AZ in the summer. I had tp leave early do to the uncomfortable heat. Instead of vompensaying me I was told that I owed them money because they made a mistake during check in. I received a rude email after an equally rude phone conversation with Amtoinette (General Manager).

Power went out and it was extremely hot and difficult to get any sleep.

When I checked in I was told there would be a $150.00 deposit. Again, not an issue. I woke up today to TWO $150.00 charges. This threw my account into a negative status. I asked for help for the front desk where i was told they didn’t know why it was charged twice but that the hold would release in 3-14 days… My account has never been in negative before and i can only imagine the feed im going to have. I’ve reached out to Sonosta customer service and was told to contact you guys for a refund

Both Jimmy and Nancy were fabulous! We arrived early due to coming from out of state and our room was ready. Jimmy checked us in & was friendly and efficient. He remembered us throughout our stay and always said hello. Nancy helped resolved an issue with extreme pleasantries. We will be staying here again!

The room was not clean, found old combs on the sofa bed, there was dried up pee in front of the door, the room smelled like cigarettes. They did offer another room but to me its 1st impression, if thats how that room was imagine the rest.

No soap at bathroom sink or shower. No shampoo either. Appearance of room was neat. I spilled water on the floor and when I cleaned it with a paper towel the paper towel was so dirty indicating that the floor was not mopped. Usually rooms are great. Last couple of stays we were disappointed.

We have stayed at Sonesta properties in the past and they were nice during those days and this one wasn't a disappointment except for a couple of areas that we did point out to them that there were a few things that needed to be addressed. Once we get into the room and saw that there was some lighting issues I went back down to the desk and informed them and they told us they would take care of it while we were gone. When we return, they had dealt with the lighting issues, which was nice to see them address our concerns promptly. The one place that they were unable to deal with for some reason was that there was no bathmat inside the tub shower, even though there was no texture on the bottom of the tub, making it very slippery and dangerous. The room over all was nice. The bed and the pillows were comfortable. Our room was very near the pool and the hot tub both of which appeared to be very clean but due to it being summertime during the day there was no one in the pool, however when the sun went down, kids and adults came out and were enjoying themselves. Even though our room was right across from the pool, noise from it was not bothersome. We would definitely consider staying at this property again.

This was the absolute most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. The floor was sticky, there was a blue sticky stain on the non-operational fire place that was crusted with dog hair. The vent was crusted with pet hair and dust. The dishes were dirty. There was dry dog food and crumbs all over the floor. We lasted 2 hours before we left and booked a room at the holiday inn next door what was excellent. We did not feel safe there.

The hot tub didn't work, one of my TVs and toilets didnt work, and there was an abundance of mosquitoes that somehow got into the room. And the pool wasn't the cleanest.

Walkways into the rooms were dirty and stained. Although it's not your problem there was dog poop on the stones when I walked in. SOME GUESTS JUST DON'T CARE.!!!~

Place seems shady. They checked me in, charged me a no show rate then assigned my room to someone else while I was in it! Unbelievable… this guy with a working key is trying to get in. Fortunately, I was in the room and hard bolted the door. Imagine I am out & about and all my valuables (laptop etc) is there for the taking. Breakfast was decent but coffee took 15 minutes & endless reminders. A lady waiting next to me left & said she was scared to ask them because yesterday the front desk staff was rude to her. The place needs some serious cleaning. The bathroom floor in my room was caving in. Not sure if it was water damaged or what but it felt like you are going to literally fall through to the bottom floor like in an episode of Breaking Bad. Would not recommend:(

This is one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at. It was very clean, the bed was cozy and the staff were very nice. The only negative thing I have to say is we asked for extra pillows, and they were very lumpy. Otherwise everything else was great!

We trusted the reviews on Expedia, but this place was nothing like advertised. The hotel was dirty, poorly maintained, and not ready when we arrived. The sink was clogged, and instead of fixing it, someone just vacuumed the water out. Stains were visible on the seat and couches. The bathroom and shower were filthy, and they even left used towels from previous guests. The manager did nothing when we asked for a price adjustment. She just said, "I cannot do anything." (Alexandra) We also emailed, and no one ever replied. This is not a hotel—it’s more like a two-star motel. It’s advertised like a 4- or 5-star extended stay, but it doesn’t even meet basic standards. We left early, before checkout. Do yourself a favor—spend a bit more and stay somewhere better. This place is not worth the money.

Towels and bedding was stained or still dirty. I arrived 10 mins before check in and the room still wasn’t ready. I was given the wrong room at first and to go to the front desk to correct it

There was quite a mess under the bed in our room, I asked 3 consecutive days to get it cleaned. It did not get cleaned. Disappointed to say the least. The latch for the bathroom door was missing a screw and not secure, and again asked to haved it fixed. They said they would, and it never happened over 4 days.

Enjoyed the space

Everything was excellent. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I am going back in September.

1- Cleanliness- - Bed sheets were clean and comfortable. - Bathroom floor was dirty- I used a towel to wipe the floor clean and was good. - Drawers were not wiped clean and the shelves in the room hadn’t been wiped clean for weeks. 2- Bathroom sink had no plug. If something was to drop in the sink, it would go down the pipe and you’d have to call to get it out. 3- There was an iron, but no ironing board 4- Swimming pool and hot tub need to be cleaned. I decided not to get in the hot tub after seeing the condition of the water. All this said, based on price and room design, I am coming back in 2 weeks.

Totally outdated and filthy! The body wash was rancid and made you gag. The only thing good about the place was the lady at the front desk who was kind and understanding about all of the concerns and clearly had heard them all before. Stay away! Resort prices for truckstop, motel quality.

The room is filthy, the bathroom tile floor was dirty sticky and broken. There was no soap dispenser only a patch on the wall had to ask front desk for some soap. I have never seen a dirtier filthier hotel in over 30 years since I was in college.

Breakfast was offered daily 7-9am and was delicious every time. Waffles, eggs + bacon, muffins + pastries, several choices of cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, juices/coffee Housekeeping doesn't bother you every morning like typical hotels, here they only come once per week to do a wellness check and otherwise get fresh linens daily from the front desk staff. They have large pool with chaise lounge chairs around and a Jacuzzi. Fitness center and business office area by the front desk. Unfortunately, the guest laundry facility was closed for an unknown period of time. Also, the water pressure in my room was so low it was ridiculous.

This wss by far the worst visit. We arrived later around 9pm got checked in and proceeded to our room. Opened the door and went in. Immediately noticed it had not been cleaned. There was food on the walls by the garbage can, milk on the outside of the refrigerator, one if the bathroom sinks was plugged up with dirty water still in it and there was something orange on one of the bed spreads! Mind you we have 5 ppl total and 2 dogs. Called.the front desk the lady told me she could send maintanance. So i said okay while everyone else went to the the car to wait. Waited over 30 min no maintance ever showed up. Called back down to front desk and aksked uf they could accommodate us with a different room in which she replied we are booked nothing is available i told you all you can so.is wait until tomorrow until my manaherbgeta here. Neesless to say we will never fo back to the Sonesta on price road!!!! Had to end up booking somewhwre elae for our time spent there.

The property is right across from a mall and there are several dining options in the area. The traffic is very loud in the rooms and there are several long term stays mixed into the short term and they are loud coming in and out of the rooms. There was also trash outside several room doors that was sitting out for a long time. The room needs deep carpet cleaning because the smell of smoke is strong. Also, more designated smoking areas away from the rooms and AC units needed because people were smoking next to the units and it could be smelled into the room.
