Concrete Floors with no rugs in front of bathroom vanity.

The bathroom door and bedroom door does not stay closed. They open in a couple of seconds after you close it. It was just so annoying our entire stay. When you turn off the Main light switch to this room located by the front door, it turns off the lights above the headboard, along with powers to the rest of outlets. So you think you’re charging your phone while sleeping, you’ll wake up with a dead phone and all your devices. You have to keep the main switch on in order to charge your devices but you can’t sleep with the lights on above your head. Room temperature is set to be 74 and cannot go higher than that. We were freezing. At the checkout, the front desk handed a final receipt with $120 “destination fees” of $30 per night, and tax and more fees after I paid the hotel costs at the time of booking. I asked them what is the fees for. They said that is to cover the bottles of water and things… For $30 a day? I said. We did not even drink most of them. I have stayed at many hotels over the years and this is the one of the worst hotel. They hit you with bunch of hidden fees right when you are leaving. First of all, they charge you $100 accidental security deposit per night up front. So they got $400 then they never mentioned us they will charge this final fees at the end. We will tell everyone Not to book a hotel here.

The hotel is very cutesy and the rooms are nice. The location is perfect with lots of places food and nightlife at a walking distance and about a 10 minute drive to the airport. Our shower tile was coming up in a certain area but no biggie, no fuss needed it did what it needed to do with the perfect amount of water pressure and temperature. Asked for toilet tissue and had to wait roughly 45 minutes or do. Thank goodness I wasn’t stuck on the toilet lol.. Front desk staff Umar, took care of that and he actually checked on us throughout our entire stay which was nice! None of the above was too crazy but I have to mention that the MATTRESS was horrible. For the 3 nights that I stayed, I can honestly say that I barely slept because it was so uncomfortable and my body ached throughout my entire vacation.

Overall property was okay. The lights in the room have to be turned on a certain way. Or they don’t work. The AC didn’t see to get the room cold. Staff was horrible though. Front desk staff. I left ID and debit card in the bar area. Told front desk and they kept brushing me off. Only for the night manager to call and say they found my debit. Next day another manager called to say they found the ID. All where I told the front desk person I specifically left it. All they did was give me a $25 drink credit.

My overall stay at Canopy was short but amazing. The staff was great, valet was considerate and room service was speedy. Our room was very clean and stocked. The fitness gym had every piece of equipment to keep you in shape and some. With towels and mini water bottles provided. My kids enjoyed the pool/area. Perfect weather to be in the water. The Alibi bar staff was kind and made good suggestions. Frozen margaritas were solid. Check out was quick and easy. I’m definitely staying agin on my next trip to Phoenix.

I was impressed my the staff at the restaurant downstairs and at the rooftop - they all seemed to be working really hard! The bed was really comfy and the shower was nice, too. The light situation in the room was odd and hard to figure out (and we're not that old). There is some sort of master switch that we missed and our devices didn't charge overnight. Our older parents and other family members couldn't figure out the lights and just didn't use them at night (?). Pool was busy with young adults but the wait staff actually did a really good job serving all the guests and we didn't have to wait long for drinks and snacks. The A/C only went to 67degrees in the room and it was so hot outside I would have liked it to go a little bit lower at night.

An event scheduled on the rooftop that went til 1 am woke me up and kept me awake

Enjoyed the location, walking distance to resturants and Tempe Town Lake. Also a short drive to Mesa. Did not like the parking fee. Room was clean and comfortable. The view from the rooftop was spectacular.

Stayed there many times. The rooms are well laid out. Beds are comfy. It’s a great location for restaurants and grocery stores, and for visiting family in Tempe. The front desk staff is professional, cheerful, and helpful with questions. We will definitely stay here again.

The staff was polite, location was great and overall the hotel was cute. The only reason I didn’t give 5-stars is the light switches in the room were super confusing and difficult to figure out what they controlled. The only way I could turn the lights off over the bed was to turn the off the “master” switch by the room door(yes all the way by the door to entire the room meaning through the entryway and bathroom area I.E. the opposite side of the room) but then I couldn’t have any other lights in. I wanted to make coffee and brush my teeth in the morning while my husband was still asleep but couldn’t turn on lights without turning on the light above the bed which I don’t want to do and wake up my husband. This was after waking up at midnight and spending 10 minutes trying to figure out how to turn the lights off above the bed, this is when I found the “master” switch. No kidding I searched every wall and light fixture for switches, it was nuts so nuts I have decided to downgrade their rating. I travel enough to be used to searching the room for light and fixture switches, this was just something else.

The staff was AMAZING! They were very attentive and wonderful to all of our needs. The beds were comfortable. The location was perfect for us as we were visiting ASU. Everything was exactly as described and just what we wanted.

This property has a spectacular roof top bar and restaurant but limited food options and no coffee. But if combined with the lobby amenities would be good. The bathroom is motel level. I was at the 9th floor and the traffic noise was bothersome.

The staff one of them ruined it for everyone she lied on multiple occasions and was rude. We need to check out 30 mins late because we were sick she said she already allowed 10 people to do it then we called to see if she would change her answer and she said no because she let 12 people do it. It went from 10 to 12 and all we wanted was an extra 30 mins

There's no place to park to check-in. Parking is expensive. I used their valet service. I didn't bother to check with the hotel to see how there parking arrangements were. And during home college games, the streets are closed and traffic is a nightmare. It took me like 2 hours to get back to my hotel.

Kept the room clean throughout my stay and when I left, probably won’t see that money returned unless I call and fight with billing which is super frustrating. Housekeeping would unlock my door and enter my room multiple times a day even if i didnt respond. It made me feel like I had to literally stay in my room to protect my belongings. People would dive at the pool and splash water on you if your sitting in a chair. Don’t charge your room number or people around you will hear and charge their charges to your room. Expensive drinks. Checked out early, housekeeping texted me following day because I had to put an “I am sleeping” sign on the door specifically to keep housekeeping out so they didnt even check me out when I handed in my room keys which is ridiculous. they told me i either had to call Expedia or billing for my money back because I left 2 nights early. Safe to say, I will never go back. Positives, good food 1st floor (over priced), nice bartenders (some inexperienced) great location. The ease of check in was appreciated. The room layout was different and I enjoyed the barn doors. The bed was comfortable. The housekeeping staff was friendly and assisted energetically! I appreciated the separated toilet area from the sink. There was another separation from the sleeping area. That was a wonderful. The sleep sign, with a string, stayed on the door with ease. My extra towels request were granted immediately! The refrigerator drawer was a grand idea. I do not like unpacking. The hotel room had a staging area, in the closet, for my open luggage. WINNING!!! There was a super long table, under the TV, to lay out my food and TASTY BEVERAGES. Room darkening curtains were a plus! Free water bottles daily. The best part of stay were the DAILY texts asking if I needed anything? I didn't require cleaning services, but they would take out the trash and replenish my fresh towels, when I responded accordingly. THE BEST HOTEL STAY EVER!!!!!:-)

While this is not a small hotel is sized right to be easy to get around in and find everything you need. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was a very generous size. The furnishings were in great condition and comfortable.

LOVE this hotel and stay here any time I'm in the Phoenix area. It's close to the airport which is ultra convenient, and the local area is wonderful. We can hike up A mountain on campus in the morning and watch the sunrise. The staff here are amazing and I LOVE the gym -- it's perfect and even more amazing that it is in a hotel -- usually they're a closet in the back of the hotel. This one has all the equipment and a great view.

This is my 5th or 6th stay. Love the location and the food at Alter Ego is sooo good!!!

We loved this hotel except for the staff. There were 2 very small issues with the front desk staff. They were very rude for no reason. It was unlike any hotel I’ve ever stayed at where the staff seemed annoyed and frustrated that I asked him a question. This was a really nice hotel. Really clean and nice staff. My only complain is the wind noise from the hallway all night. We didn’t get much sleep.

Hotel was very nice. The only thing I wish I knew before booking was the parking situation. Maybe it was somewhere on description but I didnt see it. So be aware. Valet or parking garage only . Valet was $39 a day and parking garage charged per hour. Other than that it was a very nice hotel.

Great experience ! Loved the dog friendly hotel. It is best to just park valet while you are there. Other garages are more expensive.

Super beautiful, great room, peaceful, just need more of a drink selection for both areas only burbon was served yuck but all else was excellent

The manager on duty who checked us in is really good at his job. Extremely warm, accommodating, and welcoming.

When I booked the property it stated available parking. Meaning $39.00 a day hotel parking or public parking for $16.00 a day. The hotel was clean and the ambience was amazing. As far as safety goes we felt safe. There was always someone in the lobby and you needed a key for the elevator. Our room was super clean and comfortable. I did have to call in a refrigerator for it was not working. The shower head was also not working.

We have had a great stay at Hilton Canopy Tempe. It’s beautiful, stylish, comfortable. The lobby is very nice. The rooms are a good size. I liked the sliding doors so you could get up early and get ready, letting others sleep in. The location is very walkable, beautiful peaceful walks on ASU campus across the street. The staff is very professional and friendly. Excellent place!

Amazing hotel with a rooftop pool and bar

This is a great central are to stay in Tempe! Lots of eateries and shops. Our coffee maker in the room didn’t work which is my only complaint. They offered to fix it but I needed coffee asap so they gave me a $20 card for coffee at the bar. They had love music during the day and the food looked great- but we didn’t eat there.

I wasn't able to enjoy the restaurants but looking forward to visiting there again. I highly recommend it.

Hotel stay was exceptional. On a side note; a few Shower tiles need to be fixed- two were cracked and some missing. Breakfast may have been included but asking for a latte at the breakfast bar will cost you $8. No free parking.

The property was attractive with modern Arizona details. Rooms were very nice, roomy and comfortable. Overnight parking was a bit high. We had to take care of our bags. Had a very nice top floor bar and pool area with a nice view.

Stay was really nice. I had gotten the Peloton Room but it wasnt working and I called for service but they never showed up. it was a bummer...would like to go back to this hotel.

Great stay from start to finish. Friendly staff, clean rooms and help from all.

We were there before Christmas, which was unique with all of ASU gone for the holidays. My only gripe is the cost of parking at the hotel, which I think was overly expensive. Otherwise, the hotel stay was great lots of amenities, a great workout facility,, bars, and restaurant in the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

Slept about 3 hours. Constant thumping outside all night due to steel plates being laid across the road for construction. Imagine a nail gun going off every 15-20 seconds all night…all day. Place is nice but the windows must be made of cellophane as you could hear everything outside. Diesel trucks racing the streets, motorcycles racing up and down Mill Avenue. It sucked.

The property was beautiful, the staff was super friendly, and the bed was very comfortable but we do feel that they should have made more clear that there is no free parking and it was very hard to sleep due to lots of traffic outside. We could also hear our neighbors talking through the wall at 1 AM.

The canopy in downtown Tempe is the best hotel I’ve ever been to I’ve stayed in over 20+ hotels and by far this is the coolest nicest and cleanest hotel I’ve ever been too it has the best beds ever I have the best sleep when I am here the rooms are spectacular and the service is outstanding from the time I arrive till the time I leave the valet and front dest receptionist are polite respectful and awesome to speak to the whole ambiance is amazing and the alibi room was decorated perfectly for the holiday with a great vibe and awesome holiday drinks with an addition to the restaurant down stairs alter ego it has some of the best food I’ve ever tried it’s definitely worth a try this hotel has everything you’ll need I love this place I recommend it to anyone that I speak to!

I cannot stress enough how wonderful the service was at the Canopy by Hilton Tempe Downtown. The entire staff went above and beyond to ensure a great experience. Kayla at the front desk was exceptional. The hotel is clean, modern and the location was very convenient.

Only complaint is the street noise can be heard at night. Need dual pane windows

I didn't like that there was no shower gel in my room's shower. I told the front desk staff member and she only said "sorry for the inconvenience". I checked out from the two rooms that I reserved and requested a receipt. The front desk young lady said that she could not give me a receipt since I used Expedia (a third party ) to reserved my rooms. I have stayed at this hotel for approximately 10 times and every time I have reserved two rooms. This time the cleaning crew started cleaning the rooms around 0800 and they were very noisy. The hotel area is very noisy. Before, the front desk staff would provide free earplugs and a pair of socks. Not anymore.
