Tampa Bay Extended Stay Airport

We walked in the room and were instantly hit with the smell of wet black mold. We both had headaches within 15 minutes. Brown stains all over the mattresses. Roaches. Electrical outlets coming out of the walls. We left immediately. And no refund.

The front desk personel was very helpful and accommodating!! The Bathroom is in need of repairs and upgrade!!

You get what you pay for at this motel. Door dead bolt lock didn't work, the tv had lines in it, air conditioner was loud and I was woke up at 3am with people talking.

The first room smelled moldy. The switch are room. And the second room had no cold water. And also had roaches.

It was dirty. The security man gave us keys to a room that was already occupied.

Upon arrival, we were assigned a room that had visibly dirty floors and stained walls and ceiling. Due to these unsanitary conditions, I immediately requested a room change at the front desk. After leaving the hotel for dinner and returning later that evening, we discovered a severe roach infestation in the room. Roaches were crawling on the floors and walls; we killed several, but more continued to appear. Unfortunately, there was no staff available at the front desk to assist with another room change. Given the circumstances and lack of assistance, we had no choice but to leave the hotel and secure accommodations at another hotel approximately 20 minutes away.

There was no breakfast. Vending machine on 2nd floor was broken. Our room had a moldy smell; the walls were dirty; there were dead bugs on the bathroom floor & in the corners of the living/sleeping areas. There was dirt in the corners, floors were dirty. The whole room was disgusting!!!

Nothing. The room was not cleaned. Unable to sleep in bed due to itchiness. Spoke with manager the next day to cancel our stay, was told to submit request to only be charged for one night and get a refund for the second night we had canceled. Never received refund.

I like the environment, the coworkers & the cleaning I didn’t like that one of the ladies knocked on my door before I can even check out! I felt rushed. I didn’t like the way the room service did it.

The hotel is very new, the cleanliness is impeccable, it is very quiet, the parking lot is quite spacious, and the staff is very pleasant and attentive. All in all, it was a perfect stay!

Absolutely nothing. Everything. Honestly, the worst place I have EVER stayed. Couldn't shower our entire trip because after moving rooms 3 times all the water was scalding. Rooms were all disgustingly dirty and smelled like mold. Roaches and bugs all over the room. First room door wouldn't lock, third room door the inside handle came off the door essentially locking us in our room. So many people that were homeless or on drugs lived there. No plates, bowls, or utensils provided at all. Only allowed 2 towels for our entire stay or they would charge you extra. They also charged to even clean the room. Maintenance said they would come fix our shower, but never showed up or when he did, said he needed a part and would come back, but couldn't because the office had him doing other things before he could come back. Asked to be relocated or for a refund and both were refused by the property. If you called the phone number, it would ring then hang up. Making you have to walk down to their office to speak to them. When we tried to switch rooms the 3rd time, the office gave me the new key before I went to grab our stuff, but when we got to the new room, she had turned the key off, again making us at midnight, haul all of our stuff to the front office to get the new key. This place should honestly be condemned.

Nothing Old, Moldy, Stuffy, Sketchy Area, So much air freshener to cover up whatever it is that smells, Little gnats flying around in the bathroom. Should I go on? I wouldn’t rent a room to a homeless person. That would be cruel. (The picture shows mold on the bottom left near shower and on floor grout and near toilet)

Staff that checked us in at 3pm and the Manager were got, but the staff in the morning were rude. Area of the hotel was little sketchy. Room looked clean at the first sight but have roaches and hair on the bed.

I had to ask for another room 2 times due to broken locks, wet toilet paper, and room keys not working. I was exhausted by the 3rd and delt. A/c worked. No utensils or anything in the kitchen accept a stove/microwave/sink/fridge/ Saw a bug under he cabinet and another out of the stove. Microwave smoked when used. They had a paper by the elavator(that had paint spillage on the floor) saying they had the right to enter your room weekly to check for bugs. Didn't use anything accept the fridge. I would not recommend or ever go to an extended stay again.

Staff was helpful. Great price but a lot of issues. Kitchen was microwave, sink and a dorm fridge. No dishes were provided at all. But there was dish soap. 1st room as card key wasn't working was upgraded to a two bedroom. Tub was not cleaned well but everything else was worn and old but clean. Beds were excellent but only one blanket and top sheet. 2nd day was moved to a one bedroom as all two bedrooms were needed for reservations. In this one the fridge didn't work and the shower was cold, now matter how you played with it. But everything was clean. It's a good 1 or 2 star hotel. Worth the money if you are visiting on the cheap.

it was very dirty, you couldn’t lock the doors. we ended up leaving. i wouldn’t recommend staying here. the lady at the front desk wasn’t very nice

Nothing Smoke alarm went off all night, couldn’t sleep. People knocking on door at 2:30am. Bathtub was terrible. Tv was in an area that you couldn’t see it from the bed.. 10/10 would never stay here again.

This place needs to be closed down!!! The black cobwebs on the ceiling. The dirty sheets with hairs all over them. Room 314 was invested with cockroaches. We turned the light on entering the room, a 1-inch roach ran down the wall to the floor, I smashed it. My wife had to go to the bathroom, she turned on the light, a bigger roach was setting on the stool lid. I got it with toilet paper and flushed it. We really tried to make it work till we went into the kitchen sink. There was a lot of baby cockroaches running in an out of the sink flange. We could not risk them getting in our luggage. The smell I figured later was probably from the roaches. We checked out 40 minutes later. This was 12:50 am. Took 2 hours to find a place that late and 40 miles away. Bad night for a vacation start. I'm not happy. I will expect a full refund and should be compensated for the time spent and extra gas. TRAMATIC. Tim

Very poor location smells so bad. The room is not that clean the bath tap was clogged and the water was not running at all. We asked for extra towels because reservations send book as four people. There was only two towels. They don’t have to supply very disappointments.

The only thing I liked about this property was the location however, we did not stay due to the cleanliness in the smell of the rooms. I requested a refund through booking and have not received one. The room smelled really bad. There was hair on the bed and trash in the trashcan of the second room we looked at. Both rooms smelled horrendous and you couldn’t breathe when you were in the room.

The room door knob is difficult to open and should be replaced. The room was dated but fairly nice. The fridge, microwave and TV worked just fine.

Many stores within waking distance and we were allowed to check in early with no additional fee. The front desk was very pleasant.

We got here late at night and it didn’t feel like it was very safe outside. Probably not in the best area. The lock to the door had loose screws that you could tell you stripped. The beds were two different heights which threw us off but they ended up being both very comfortable.

Check-in was great. Love the staff the room was dirty. The door was dirty. I had to clean that. The room was very dusty. I had two shampoos in the room instead of shampoo condition, lotion. I have been in the cleaning industry for 14 years in my rooms have never looked like this. They need to put more love into the rooms.

It was clean but it lacked essential items. There was no shower head, just the pipe sticking out of the wall. Even though it was an extended stay room, there were no dishes or cooking pans or silver ware in the room. We chose to stay only 1 night out of 3, and switched to a different hotel and location.

This room was the worst place we have ever stayed. Very filthy. Bugs dead and alive all over. The room was terrible! Had to have the assistance manager to have housekeeping to clean the room after I was told the room was ready. They had to clean walls, floors, furniture, and the entire bathroom. Also, had maintenance come in to fix curtains and place missing handle on drawer. Happy this stay was very short, never again

They showed us two rooms - the first was pretty shabby and had no heat, and the maintenance guy they sent up spoke no English at all. The other - the beds were unmade and the mattresses were so badly stained I felt ill looking at them. Very bad vibe safety wise also. We left and are hoping for a refund. Do not book this place.

Staff was nice and friendly. Room was clean. The only thing was a little bad was the smell of cigarettes and the people next to me was noisy pass midnight. The place is close to airport. And there is places around to eat.

TRAVELERS BEWARE. Our room was a cockroach party. All over our clothes hung on the chair on the fridge, on the table. We had NO food in the room either. No front desk staff on over night if you need any help, just security officer.

The hotel in overall is very dirty. The hallways need pressure washing urgently. It has a strong cigarette smell every way.

The lady at the front desk was courteous and explained everything I needed to know. The room is very clean and comfortable. There is a mini fridge, microwave, sink, 2-eye burner stove top and coffee maker in the room. Vending machines and ice right around the corner. Definitely cannot beat the price. I would stay again if I needed somewhere to go while in this area.

This room was pretty bad. Lots of things in repair…. There were cockroaches in the kitchen, lots of dust in the vents, the ac was super load and the room smelled like strong chemicals. Also there were people smoking pot outside of our room. This is not family friendly and I wouldn’t recommend.

I did not stay there because the room was smoking and I have asthma. There were not keys for the room, the security had to open the room for us. The air conditioning was not functioning. We had to leave and find another hotel. I will never stay there or reserve there in the future.

I asked for a non smoker room. The last person who stayed smoked hooks and the floors were stained with a red gummy material. The floors were dirty, silverfish in the bathroom, and the mattresses are really old and torn and the shower base is blackened. Couldn’t wait to leave!

The stay was great, I stayed one night the room was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would say some of the towels had stains and the bathroom sink was very dirty and stained. But other than those minor things it was a great stay for a very affordable price.

The room was okay, not the cleanest but for the price it was fine. Found two dead roaches, saw no live ones. It was a “non-smoking” room but framed of stale smoke. Glad it was only a two stay.

I initially thought I was booking a Hotel not a Motel, but the check-in process was Very Good. Once in the room, I did my Mandatory Inspection to see if I would stay or not; everything checked out Good and the Staff was Very Friendly. The room itself was slightly outdated but it was Clean & provided everything I needed for an Overnight Concert Stay. The Price was Affordable & the One thing I will say was that the Bed was AMAZING. I have a Bad back & this bed was So Soft & Cushy that I just Melted into it & had One of the Best Night's Sleep in a Long Time. If I find myself in Tampa again for another Show, I would Definitely stay there again.

The staff first and foremost was wonderful, very friendly, helpful and a joy to speak with. We stayed before and after our cruise from Tampa. My only true complaint was the smell in the first room we stayed in, the cigarette smell was so bad it made our clothes stink. The second room we stayed in was great. It did not have a smell and was just cozy enough. I still cannot express how wonderful the staff was.

When we checked in our room. We noticed that it had been occupied already. We walk in and it was dirty. They gladly given us a new room.

The one great thing about this property is its location! Other than that, the place itself has nothing to be desired because it is literally not been updated since the 1980s and the rooms are filthy and Furniture worn out and torn and cigarette Burns. The room was supposed to be a no smoking room and it had cigarette burns on the furniture and obviously a cigarette smell! There were lots of spiders and Termite frass. I found lots of long women's hair on my floor and even inside the refrigerator and in the sinks. I was afraid to use the shower because of how filthy it was so I used my flip-flops . Just literally filthy Grime all over the place, the toilet seat was only held on with one screw. My door lock didn't properly work and the door had been previously damaged and I have pictures of all of this. I had paid for two nights and checked out after the first night. If it hadn't already been so late when I arrived that night I would have turned down the room. It was worth losing that one night that I paid for ahead of time!

Unfortunately I wouldn't stay here again. Staff was great and friendly. I was put on the 3rd floor with a broken elevator. Walk into the room and I think it hadn't been checked in a while there was dust on the table. Pulling the covers back there were bugs in the bed, spiders in the room. I had to spray the room and bed with Lysol. The Internet worked great though. Luckily I only stayed a couple days.

I specifically asked for an ADA room as my friend is in a wheel chair. When we got they had us on the 2nd floor and their elevator is out of service. Seriously? They said the ground floor was all booked as people didn't want to take luggage up stairs. And? She's in a WHEELCHAIR. We only stayed the one night, since everything near the Staduim is full for the concert. It was a struggle getting my friend up and down the stairs. And then, we still we were not in a wheel chair room. I will never stay there again and am telling everyone I can about the horrendous experience.

Room reeked of dampness and mold. Had a kitchette but not have 1 item of cutlery, flatware, of glasses. Completely empty. No comforter or duvet on bed, just a sheet and a cheap blanket. My husband woke up with a sore throat, coughing and wheezing due to the mold. Creepy people live there and we’re always lurking around in dark stairwells. My husband is disabled are we were on the 2nd floor with NO elevator.

Overall I think it is just okay but I could have found better places if I had known what I would get ahead of time. My recommendation is bring an air freshener and bathroom slippers to shower in. I kept my clothes in my auitcase because the wardrobe provided looked dirty inside as well. The kitchenette was useful but no pans are provided that I could find and no plates, so keep that in mind.

When we arrived at 1530 the room was not ready for 1500 checkin. Took 1 hour to get the Tv to work thank you maintenance for changing out the tv. We had a stove

I stayed 4 nights. I went to see some Spring Training Baseball Games and found the place to be wonderful during my stay.

The shuttle was late so we had to take a taxi. Facilities are old and need to be updated. Could not understand what the desk clerk was saying.

The property was attractive due to the price and location. Check in was good, but charged the wrong credit card despite handing the correct one over. I was then greeted by a less than inspiring poster about the elevator working 50% of the time. The room was older, but clean. Little to no noise isolation in the room. Despite having a kitchenette, there were no dishes to use. On the second day I received a note about pest spraying. I did not feel comfortable leaving my belongings in the room not knowing what was going to be done. I did leave some food for that night and the following day in the fridge. When I returned from the day, the room had been cleaned and all my food was gone. Where I did receive an apology, it did not replace all my food which I then had to go replace at my own cost. It made an otherwise pleasant enough stay a very poor one

I stayed at Tampa Bay Extended Stay Airport yesterday for one night. I had booked a non-smoking room, but the room I received had a bad smell. I informed the receptionist, but he told me there were no available rooms to move me to. Since I am very sensitive to such things, I had a terrible night, and now my voice is hoarse. This was a very unpleasant stay, and I do not recommend this place.

I was not impressed by the area. This motel is a residental place but the folks are quiet. There is a Golden Corral next door that has really good food. The area is safe to walk in. The room is cozy with a stove top, refrigerator, and microwave, but it does not have any pots, pans, or cookware. The room was clean but the floor needed mopping.

Just OK for an overnight stay. Friendly staff at check-in. One ice machine on 1st floor. Elevator had sign that it goes up fine but has issues going down. “Use at your own risk” going down. Need new caulking around tub surround. Electricity went off once for just a few minutes.

Where to begin, I had to give them my credit card information multiple times for somebody figured out how to answer it correctly in their system. The bathroom door did not open and close properly. The bathtub had rust around the edges. The sink stopper had no cap on it and there was a cap to a tube of toothpaste stuck down there. We only crashed there overnight to catch it early morning flight. Otherwise we never would have stayed here. It was way worse than the pictures on the internet. Once you get there. The people are very nice, but the place is really run down.

It's a pet peeve of mine about hotels saving by turning down the supply of hot water in the bathroom t sink to a trickle. This one was guilty, but at least there was a nearby kitchenette skink with better flow.

The elevator was not functioning properly. My room was on the third floor I had to pack my suitcases up the stairs. The shower still had the soap from the previous person staying there

There was a coffee maker bur no coffee. Most chains give you enough for a couple of cups.

Hot water didn't work. Key stopped working as well. Elevator wasn't working going down. And room smelled pretty bad

It was close to everything which made getting Ubers around town super accessible. Security on-site at all times. I highly recommend for solo travelers like myself

been working, since my health condition made it very hard climbing the stairs! loved that my favorite restaurant Golden Coral was not many feet away!

Hotel indicated handicap accessable. Absolutely wasnt with elevator out of order. They booked us on 3rd floor (320) and we asked about the 1st, but it was full. We struggled and decided to try And push through because we we exhausted from travelling and it was late. Room stunk from smoke, and we saw a sqished cockroach on kitchen floor. We contacted desk and they were professionals with giving us clean room on 2 (249) that is above the security guard outside below room and noisy. We usually do not have these issues with travelocity, we have used you in the past. We made it thru the night. Refund and/or voucher for a room going forward would be nice but were not expecting that...hard to reccomend travelocity.

First of all, this is not an Extended Stay hotel. The staff was rude and unhelpful.

No hot water in room, couldnt take shower.

Rooms are old. Need upgrading. You get what you pay for. No remote for tv and when I asked the front desk for a remote, it never arrived. Had no tv the whole stay. Bathroom fan is very loud. Bathroom faucet was falling off. Shower water was warm at best. Curtain was broken and half was missing. Smoke detector was missing from the wall. Elevator certification expired in 2023. Cigarettes litter the ground everywhere.

Description at time of booking was not what was there.
