The room was clean and the bed comfortable. I was a little surprised that there were no charging ports for my cell phone. For the continental breakfast I had to ask for what I wanted. Things weren’t put out eg. cream cheese for the bagels. The dining room not very inviting. It was overall a functional place to stay at.

A wonderful local hotel in a good location if you need to be in Tampa. I was able to get to Busch Gardens and Ybor City with a short drive. Easy access to south Tampa and St. Pete. The local cuisine was great and plentiful. The staff was great. The grounds and room were well maintained and clean. I would stay there again.

Great place! We needed to be close to the base and have relatively easy access to the beach, and this hotel was perfect. Only about 10 minutes to the base and 25 minutes to the beach. Clean, comfortable, and conveniently located. Would definitely stay here again!

We were pleasantly surprised with this property. This is an older chain hotel that has been completely remodeled under the new ownership. Upon entering the room we noticed it was super clean and the AC was ice cold (even on a Florida summer day when it was over 95 degrees outside). We spent a few hours by the pool and then went to a concert at Raymond James stadium. The route to/from the stadium was easy and seemed to be far less congested than those people traveling the opposite direction. We will definitely book this hotel again when we are in the area.

It was very comfortable and clean. I would recommend this place with out a doubt. Staff was very friendly and helpful and also the breakfast attended was very pleasant.

The property is older but has been updated and is in good condition and very clean. For the money it's well worth it!

New remodeling is very well done. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. The dining was always very clean and organized. there was a bright light outside of my room that prevented the room from getting dark at night, making it tough to get a good nights sleep. the pics online made it look better than in person but i guess you get what you pay for.

The room was fine. The a/c sounded like and airplane taking off everytime it cycled. The mini frig also rattled all night long. For the money, a big box standard chain is usually a better value.

This is where I always stay on Tampa. No frills, but super clean and reliable

First we got a pretty bad room with a smell , but it's important to mention that after the complaint and request to change the room we got a good room way more convenient and clean, the breakfast was great , in general considering the price it's was a good stay for one night .

The hotel is near a lot of different amenities. It is within walking distance to a handful of restaurants, gas stations, ect. The location itself felt pretty safe. The pool seemed clean however we did not swim in it. During the evening there were visible cockroaches on the walls that we killed. The carpets were dirty and left a black residue on our socks. The rooms strongly smelt of pesticides. We walked by the open laundry room and saw the sheets were stored in stacks, some of them draping and touching the dirty ground (as it was basically outside). Shower drain was clogged and the shower was dirty. Dead cockroaches on the ground outside of the laundry. Staff did not seem surprised when we told them there were cockroaches on checkout. No refund or apology was offered, although they did say they would send someone in to investigate. We avoided the continental breakfast after seeing the cleanliness of the place the night before.

Close to our venue. Cleaning staff were excellent and receptive to our requests. First night we had sand on the floor from previous guest. We asked the cleaner to mop the floor while cleaning the room and she did an excellent job. No chairs to sit on, double bed in stead of queen bed we booked. We were told it was the only room availible when we checked in. . Room looked like it had been a storage room and recently converted to a hotel room. Plug on one side of bed only. Bedside lamp on one side only. .might work for a single person but not for a couple. Sliding door to bathroom would not stay open. Probably not leveled when installed.

The property was comfortable, relatively close to the airport, and had several businesses close by. The room was big, had everything you may need, the bed was comfortable and everything was spotless. The staff were absolutely kind and helpful. I would definitely come back.

There was sand or some other grainy substance on the bed. The air conditioner made so much noise in room 118. If I weren't so tired and had to get up extra early I would have went to the office. The price of $407 bucks for one night was criminal for the dump I stayed in. Not a good experience for sure. Thank God there were no bed bugs.

Free breakfast is not really “breakfast”. Just some bread, fruits, bagels and sausage and eggs that doesn’t look fresh. I saw the server holding a plastic Tupperware with prepared before hand egg omelet with cheese on it. I just ended up having just a coffee. The room and property were good. No airport shuttle is a minus for me.

The property was in an excellent location down the street from the RJ Stadium. There were a lot of good food options within walking distance of the property. The bus stop was very close by, so it was easy to get around. The staff was friendly and helpful.

You can tell that there’s pride in taking care of this property. Every detail looks taken care of. The only complaint is that the room smell smells a little bit musky because of the moisture in the room.

We could not figure out where the odor was coming from the desk attendant came and smelled it too. He had nowhere else for us to stay so we had to keep the room as it was. The room was nice, only thing was that I booked a room at least a month in advance and called to check about it a couple days before my trip and I was told I would get whatever was available and not what I had already booked, which was a little weird.

The room lacked a luggage rack which is pretty odd. The flooring was showing some age, and the room was smaller than expected.

We arrived prior to a cruise vacation along with typical amount of luggage. Unfortunately, there were no 1st floor rooms available and the one elevator was located at the far end of the property. The check in staff apologized and offered to help carry our luggage upstairs since the elevator location was very far and it would have been a long walk to the elevator, then back to our room. While the room appeared to have been updated fairly recently, it smelled very used and old. The bathroom appeared to have been renovated recently and looked very fresh. The breakfast was average and kept updated by an attendant, but the food quality was poor. The omelets, sausage and biscuits were microwave heat and serve, so not very tasty. The property exterior appeared well kept and clean.

Such friendly service checking in! Even asked if I preferred the first or second floor. Walking into our room, it was super clean and even smelled clean. Very spacious too. Comfy bed! The only downside was with all the guests, the floor made our kids feet black and we kept wiping them down. But it’s to be expected when you’re in a hotel room in a busy city! They can’t carpet clean every time. Breakfast had eggs, sausage, fruits, juices and you could make pancakes and a few other things. You’re just not allowed to take anything outside of the breakfast room. Friendly attendant overseeing the room too. The pool was refreshing and clean and warm. And it was nice to be able to pull up to our door and walk right in. Great stay.

Don't let the 'recently renovated' fool you. It's all a facade. I was quite disappointed in this property. It was noisy between the other guests and barking dogs. Thank goodness we were only there for one night. Oh and the design of the kitchenette was beyond ridiculous. Doors that you couldn't open because there was a wall in the way. Definitely never staying at this place again.

I got the room without kitchen although I booked the one with kitchen, after I pointed out to the staff, he made the change right away, the breakfast is much better than the conventional with various foods to choose. The location is not far from airport also close to downtown.

A convenient, clean motel, comfortable bed just 10 to 15 minutes away from Tampa General Hospital. I would stay there again if I needed to go back to Tampa for another early morning TGH visit.

WiFi not working, kitchenware poorly furbished, toilet extractor not working (no windows), it would be good to have openable windows in the living room to change air in the room, AC likely needs change of filters as flows stinky air, we switched it off.

Upon arrival, I was informed that the room I had originally reserved was unavailable due to a maintenance issue. While I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, I was then reassigned to a significantly smaller room that was not comparable to my original booking. Additionally, the condition of the replacement room was unacceptable, as it was not clean and did not meet basic standards. When I raised my concerns with the staff, I was informed that no other rooms were available, leaving me with no reasonable alternative. This experience was highly disappointing and did not reflect the level of service I expected. As a result, my stay was extremely unpleasant, and I regret to say that I will not consider returning in the future. I kindly request that you review this matter and provide an appropriate response. We chose this hotel on a whim after being trapped in Tampa for three days due to the airline shutting down for a bad storm. It’s about 15 minutes from the airport and a good price. It did come through for what we needed which was a place to relax and wait for the flights to start up again. Some positives are the pool is very nice and the pool furniture is comfortable. The beds are comfortable. It has a refrigerator and microwave. It does include breakfast, but I didn’t think the breakfast was great but it’s nice that it’s there. We were initially put in a room on the bottom floor in the back which smelled a little musty, but asked to move and was given a room on the second floor that was much cleaner and brighter. The staff was very nice. There are a few places if you are without a car to walk and get some things to eat. Be careful on the road in front because there is no crosswalks and cars just fly by. Overall we’re glad we chose this hotel.

The place is a roadside motel. We stayed in an efficiency unit, but did not cook there. It was very expensive, but clean. There was a very strong odor of pesticide, but no signs of pests. The bathroom was clean and the bed was comfy.

Terrible experience. Can’t believe this place has a good rating. Our flight got delayed and we arrived to the hotel around 1am. We payed $225 for the room. Checked in and received a dirty room, beds were not made, towels on the floor and there were feces in the toilet. We went back to reception and the receptionist told us they were sold out and that if we did not want the room as it was, we had to go somewhere else and that he would leave a note for the manager to process a refund in the morning. We spent the next three hours with heavy rain calling hotels and stopping at random ones to get a room. This is Spring Break time and everting was sold out for the night. This is completely unacceptable and the hotel did not compensate us in any way for the wasted time and gas.

Overall this place was nothing special, but it was clean and located in a good area. The coffee table was a little dirty and our kitchen utensils needed a better clean - but besides that everything was fine. It’s what you pay for. The room was plenty big enough for us. Pool was much smaller than we expected, but it wasn’t too crowded. Breakfast was a typical hotel meal, pancakes and eggs taste watered down, but the coffee was good. At one point our room key stopped working. Staff were friendly, but they seemed understaffed.

The property was ok, there were ants in the room, which we dealt with. We did not spend a ton of time in the room, but it was relatively quiet. The breakfast left alot to be desired, we frequently went out instead. They are "updating" the hotel, and we probably would stay there again, as the cost and location were pretty good.

The room was filty. It smelled so moldy we all had headaches. First day we thought maybe travel caused the headaches. By the second night after I looked into the ac/heating unit, I knew it was the motel- black insideand I have pictures to prove it. Besides that, hair on linens, dirty bathroom and floor. I requested a full refund, but the hotel would only refund the unused days. DO NOT BE FOOLED by the excellent reviews- it is not! I will continue to persue getting my full refund. My mother has health issues and it could have been really bad if we had stayed there the full week.

Room was gross and smelled horrible. The shower had dirty shoe prints in it. Asked to be changed rooms and they said they didn’t have another one available. Didn’t even apologize about the room until I asked for a refund and had to go find another hotel last minute.

Room was clean, staff were very pleasant. My only suggestion is to fix doors so they close all the way. My particular door you had to pull and push a little to make sure. I had gone to breakfast and somehow even though I pulled it closed it didn’t quit click/align. Breakfast could use a little more pizzazz but the kind gentleman tending to it made up for that. I would definitely stay there again.

The staff were great, friendly and accommodating...the room however was not very clean. Garbage (including a pill of some kind) was under the chair when we moved it, the walls had splatters of something on them both in the room and in the bathroom and the floor in the bathroom was pretty gross.

Keurig in room for morning coffee. We did not check out the free breakfast. Very conveniently located within 15 minutes of Tampa General Hospital. Will book again!

We stayed for 3 days and it was adequate, but would have been fantastic if management and housekeeping would pay more attention to pest control and cleanliness. Room wasn't properly cleaned after last guest and a roach crawled across the kitchenette counter. Wouldn't stay again.

This is not a resort. Don't expect that. The staff we really nice and efficient, friendly. No complaints. The rooms were not fancy, and are a little dated (not horrible) but most importantly, CLEAN!! We were super happy with the cleanliness. Breakfast is basic, and it takes a bit for re-stocking of items when they run out. We would stay again as it is pleasant and rather inexpensive. It's worth it!!

I chose this hotel because it was conveniently located between the airport and cruise port, and it was a good price. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the hotel grounds were well cared for. The only negative was that we would have had to cross the busy street to get to a restaurant for dinner. But there was a Subway a short walk from the hotel, and the lady making the subs was awesome.

There were roaches in my room and bathroom and the bed was HORRIBLY uncomfortable!!

A cockroach crawled over my sheet at night and grossed me out. I reported it to reception. It’s really humid there, and the door has a gap where humidity and insects can easily enter. There is an unpleasant musty smell.

The room was dirty. Upon talking to the manager, we decided NOT to stay at this establishment. Not the type of place I would stay nor recommend.

I think the motel is doing upgrades which is nice. Our room had a bad odour and the place felt ans looked dirty. But the bed was comfortable and it was nice to have the kitchenette.

The room was clean. The outside area was pretty and tropical looking. It even had a heated outdoor pool.

The hotel was over all fantastic. The room was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable and roomy for the entire room and the bath was rather large. The only drawback is that it was a motel style of a look from the outside so my thinking was that it would be not a great inside but like I said before I was surprised and pleased with what I found. I prefer to stay in a hotel setting which has an interior entrance to your room because I feel safer traveling alone as a senior. In this particular Hotel, the door is right outside your room just like a motel style so that was the only thing that really concerned me about staying here. I probably will not stay here again but they are my reasons

The property is very nice and well maintained. Our room was comfortable. The art on the wall was the same and not very original. The bathroom and shower were modern. The staff is not that friendly unfortunately. Also the room service is unreliable. There was a delay in servicing our room which was disappointing. I hope the management can address this in the future as we would definitely stay here again. The pool was clean and well maintained. We also liked the location for attractions in the area.

The room had a strong, unpleasant odor, which was noticeable every time we entered and became quite uncomfortable. Additionally, the room felt very small for the price, and the restroom door did not have a lock. We also noticed an odor in the pillows and comforter. We booked this hotel due to its 9+ rating, but we were disappointed to find that our experience did not match that rating.

The room was clean but had a funny smell (we switched rooms and still had a smell). Definitely a "budget" motel. Staff was nice, but we ultimately ended up checking out an hour after check in.

Bed is junk everything else is okay

Staff was super friendly! We stayed for 8 nights in the same room and the only complaint we have is that the carpet was filthy dirty. Our bare feet and socks were black every night after walking around on the carpet. The room also smelled musty, likely from the carpets.

The room was old and many repairs were obvious. the door jam into the bathroom was falling apart, the blinds in the one window were broken, and the window was only into a dark hallway. When we arrived, there was no power for 30 minutes. If there would’ve been other openings in a hotel close by, we would have Back.

Twice during our stay the power went out, yet the nearby businesses all still had electricity, so clearly this wasn’t a neighborhood issue. To make things worse, after housekeeping cleaned our room, they left the door wide open and all the blinds open all day. We had locked it when we left, so coming back to that was unacceptable and honestly concerning. The whole area around the hotel feels rundown and not well-kept. We didn’t feel comfortable, and nothing about the stay made us want to stay longer. This place needs major improvements. Stay away — there are much better options in Tampa.

Hotel was okay for what we paid. Was in a busy area with lots of amenities. Hotel was relatively clean, however my partner and I saw several cockroaches. I have photos of them in our unit, staff were made away and we were offered a new room as well as 1 night for free. The same day we let staff know pest control showed up at our door to fumigate. Was kinda grossed out after that but the staff were friendly and pleasant to deal with. The breakfast wasn’t good. There is an outdoor pool but we didn’t use it at all. I also experienced quite a few bug bites of some sort while sleeping. I woke up with lots of bug bites on my legs one morning. Probably wouldn’t stay again

The place was nice but it was a motel. The name of the hotel is definitely misleading. Its a typical motel layout w the office as soon as you come in and then 2 levels of motel rooms. The pool was really small so don't plan on going in. If you have more than 2 people this probably isn't the best option. The staff was nice and the room was clean.

I expected a 3 star hotel, but that’s not what this is. The hallway smelled like pee and the smell came into our room every time the AC turned on. I asked for a new room and was told they would clean the hallway. Of course, urine smell doesn’t just go away so needless to say our smelled like pee and potpourri. Won’t stay here again. Don’t get fooled like I did.

This hotel was very clean,as soon as you walked in the door you could smell a very clean smell. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very well kept up.

Definitely looks different than the pictures online. Beds were clean as well as the rooms. Cleaning crew had wet/dry vac running next room for 45 mins straight at 8pm. Water pressure in the shower was horrible! Worst water pressure Ive seen yet at any hotel. Besides those few things it was ok! Wouldn’t return due to the water pressure alone

We did not enjoy our stay here. Cleaning staff did replace towels daily, but the room had a dingy, run-down feel with rust and water stains on the walls. The bathroom had a barn door with a gap and no lock. The room had millipedes. There was a kitchen, but the sink is behind the wall of the bathroom and difficult to reach (see picture). We didn't find dishes until the end of our trip (in the dishwasher). Breakfast was provided but was unsavory (American cheese in an egg is an omelette?) There was only one nightstand. The pool "closes at dusk" but the bright lights over it stayed on all night. And there were prostitutes cruising the parking lot. The only good thing was the price.

I have stayed at this hotel probably 8-10 times in the past year and everytime it’s not bad. This time I saw roaches in the bathroom and then one was crawling on me when I was in the shower. I’m from Florida and thought it may be a palmetto bug but it was a regular German cockroach. I stopped at the office when I wa leaving to tell them but there were other guests there and I didn’t have time to wait to tell them. I will contact the manager when I return home.

The property was older than I expected from the photos. It was clean, well-lit, attractive, and had plenty of parking. The room was remodeled and contemporary, though the building is older. The staff was friendly. It felt very safe, with excellent lighting all around the property. The soundproofing seemed excellent - we never heard noise from other rooms or outside. The property is attractive, very clean, and well-maintained. The breakfast is advertised as continental, though they had some hot dishes and fresh fruit, too. There are dozens of restaurants of all sorts within minutes of the hotel. We ate well. And, there are many other stores in the area - Publix, Trader Joe's, etc. The homes in the area are nice - making the drive to restaurants more interesting. And the location is convenient. 3 minutes to a beautiful drive around the bay, 10 minutes to the airport and downtown. 40 minutes to Clearwater Beach.

There’s a lot that needs to be done appearance wise. Other than that, the staff was pretty nice, and the rooms were clean. The location is perfect, right next to the airport. And very convenient for dining options.

We were told they had portable Cribs for a baby and when asked for one the desk staff was very rude.

The room was okay just very small, i also saw quite a few sugar ants or something in the bathroom area. All of the lights but one didn’t work also. The surrounding area was busy but not terrible, it was really residential once you get off the road the hotel is on. For the price the place is good, but there were definitely some iffy things.

The room kind of smelled musty, but the beds were very comfortable. The shower was really spacious and the pool was heated.

There was hair, mold and the door tract was grimy in the shower. The mini fridge was leaking water on the floor. The beverage machine was out of several drinks. I couldn't find the ice machine. There are no signs and it isn't in an obvious location. The rest of the room was very clean. I really liked that there was a mini fridge.

Overall a good experience. Toilet took a while to fill with water so had a hard time with multiple guests in our room using it. Otherwise great.

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay, given the affordability. The check-in was a tad concerning when the clerk seemed to have trouble finding our reservation but eventually it was located. The room was nicer than expected. Cool, clean, comfortable, and smelled nice. Our trip was cut short due to a family emergency back home and they were very sympathetic. We were grateful and would return without question.

I loved the vibe of this place but unfortunately I was only there for one night. I wish I would have picked this place for the beginning of my travels to Tampa

When we got to our room there was a slight musty odor, but once we turned down the AC and turned up the fan it improved. There was some mold in shower, but would stay here again.

We just spent 1 night here, the breakfast was scarce, the milk was frozen (my kids weren't able to have milk in their cereal). We were just looking to spend the night, so it met its purpose, but it is not a place where I'd stay again, or longer.

Property area well kept, easy to find parking, plenty of towels and soaps in room, and friendly hotel staff. However my room could definitely use improvements. Upon entering the room, a strong odor of cigarette smoke would hit you and it would be more noticeable when a/c fan was off or turned down, Both queen beds dipped near the headboard which made it difficult to sleep comfortably. Floor needed to be mopped and swept better there was a collection of dead bugs under the a/c unit and bottom of my feet would get black from just walking in the room, no hot water in kitchen, bathroom sink nor shower - it stayed cool or lukewarm, can hear all noises clear as day from outside.

Very happy with our stay. Room comfortable and clean. Only concerns that I had was the court yard was very nice the only downside was there was a smoking area there and smokers using that area caused the whole area outside our door to smell of cigarette smoke. Breakfast was good, pancake maker was pretty nice. Only downside was staff didn’t keep egg and sausage station stocked as quickly as needed resulting in empty trays after breakfast rushes.

They don't have microwaves in all the rooms anymore, breakfast is the same everyday and opens a couple of minutes late regularly. Looks like it was a really nice place once. Homeless around the area are a problem. Drug pipe in laundry area. No safes in rooms either. some employees are great others just there and don't care. I can't recommend it.

The hotel was very clean and quiet. The breakfast options were pretty typical, but they had someone on staff who was keeping everything stocked and fresh. The housekeeping was very good and friendly. The internet worked fine. It was easy to drive to downtown and Ybor City. I would stay at this hotel again if I am in the Tampa area.

He has the worst attitude ever and was so rude to me and others, and speaks down to women. Also, I think the parking lot could be a little bit cleaner due to whatever is draining garbage into the parking lot or sewer. The toilet tissue was not replaced in five days. I had to ask for a role nor was the bathroom such as the sink toilet and shower was not cleaned nor mopped and five days And the fourth day there they had not even emptied the trash. I should say not all of it I’m just giving my honest review even with these issues I would consider staying there again if another place was not available. Also the refrigerator leaks in room 143 to the bottom then to the floor and the carpet is smelly and rusty

Grounds were wellkept and rooms were clean!

The whole experience was great. I had no complaints.
