The staff were great and quick to respond to an issue with the room. The room was “clean” but could have really used a finer detail to the cleanliness.

Had a great time, parking was easy the place was clean. It was in a great area of the city.

Cannot recommend. Too many issues with property, location great if you plan to focus 100% on Ybor City…otherwise, best to get to get downtown hotel.

I don’t expect to have to do things self service and it did not work for me. I tried numerous times and had to get the staff to eventually override the system and enter it in self because they cannot use the automated system successfully either. For the rates charged here wants to expect more full service, not do it yourself. One has to ask for everything.

It was okay. Just that okay. $300 bucks for one Saturday night felt WAY overpriced. Great staff. Let me check in early. Would stay elsewhere next time.

The front desk staff does a horrible job of explaining the parking which you pay for separately. They have you scan a QR code then prompt you for your last name and room number, but you still pay for parking through a third-party. Absolutely stupid and really nuts. Just tell me you pay parking and leave it at that. It would seem to be a large hotel chain should seem to have a better way of doing this.

The breakfast was okay. The staff was very helpful. I understand the hotel is in the Downtown area but I wish the hotel looked better on the outside and inside. The pictures of the inside did not do it any justice. If it wasn't for the helpful staff we would have been totally disappointed . It also helped that we were able to get a shuttle to our cruise drop off. If back in the Tampa area, we won't stay here again despite the helpful staff.

Had used this hotel for Moffitt trips, a few years ago, and decided to go back again. The hotel is nice,, quiet, clean, staff is very good, and the front desk was excellent (Tammy. I think) The location is still excellent; walk all around historic Ybor, historic trolley (half block from hotel) to downtown Tampa Bay, Unfortunately, the neighborhood has deteriorated; severe homelessness and everything that goes along with it. IMO it would not be safe for a single female to walk alone, even during the day. My husband and I walked, during the early evening light, to dinner (Columbia 15 min. walk from hotel) ) but coming out at dark we decide to take an Uber back. Sadly, this is not a problem the hotel can control, so will not be corrected anytime soon.

To much money for the type of hotel it is. The toilet clogged almost every time we used it. The shower filled up each time we used it. The bathroom sink only had hot water. Parking was $101 for 3 nights when it should have been free with the stay. I won’t be staying at this hotel ever again. And won’t be recommending to anyone. Honestly would like some money back because of the parking. Paid over $500 for the odd smelling room and a squeaky bed. Had to listen to loud construction noise twice on top of it all. Only positive thing was the location.

The room was very clean, excellent location, wonderful staff, very good breakfast There was a lady to promote some holidays to buy every single morning at breakfast speaking very loudly and very introduce during the breakfast. It was not the right time to promote other things to buy. The room was very noise due to an aeration system that was not possible to turn off due to the lack of opening window in the room.

"When you enter the hotel, you immediately feel this wave of musty, old smell—it's really strong. Second, you pay enough that you would expect free parking, but in fact, the parking is also inside the hotel, and you still have to pay for it. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, since you can find better options for the same price, including free parking."

Room was clean and quiet and we had a great sleep. Breakfast served in morning was tasty and kept clean and food options stocked.

We had to wait around 30 min for our room, but honestly, there were some huge events in town that weekend, so overall, not a big deal! The staff was very nice and helpful!

Nice location in the historic cigar manufacturing district so there are a few cigar bars where they also make them. Lots of restaurants, bars and nightlife along 7th Avenue but the hotel was quiet. Very comfy beds, clean room and the staff were very pleasant. We were solicited by sales staff at the hotel to buy advance deals on hotels in other cities. As this was while I was eating breakfast it was a bit early for that.

The staff was exceptionally nice and helpful, especially Daniel. There’s a shuttle available in a 3 mile radius that saved us a bit of walking. Everything was clean. We had a great stay!

Lobby smelled like cigarette smoke. There was a dedicated smoking area underneath the lobby for employees and customer's and smoke traveled through elevator shafts and made the lobby and elevator areas smell of smoke. Rooms were very clean. Breakfast was good and convenient. Very helpful and friendly staff. Free Trolley was very conveniently located right outside entrance to Hotel to commute to downtown Tampa

I am picky about hotel rooms: the lighting, the amenities, outlets, bathroom space. Shower. Room 531 has two twin beds (comfortable), lots of outlets, great lights to read by. The bathroom gave you enough space for your toiletries, even supplied Kleenex, and an adequate bath/shower combination. Front desk personnel were friendly and efficient. Breakfast offers eggs, fruit, good coffee, and even good waffles. Gym and pool. No restaurant for lunch or dinner but good ones outside. I would stay again if in Tampa.

Very nice Hampton. The entrance was a little difficult to find but once we did, we were greeted by Michael in the lobby. He was super friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious. The breakfast buffet was very good and there was an employee working the area to make sure food supply was maintained and area remained clean.

Michael checked us in and was most helpful and kind despite the many guests checking in all at once. Nice room, great breakfast, very clean and spacious seating area and the free shuttle to port was an added plus with Miguel getting us there right on time. Everything was great, would stay again in the future.

The front desk staff got the 5 stars! The company needs to upgrade the commodes as we had to switch rooms and both commodes had issues. I should be able to do my business and flush. Not flush and have extra things to do to reset the commode for the next - company issue. The front desk staff were amazing, quick and accommodating with correcting the issue with a smile. Great location with a gym and grocery within walking distance!

The whole property was very clean. The front desk staff was knowledgeable and helpful. The breakfast was phenomenal. Lots of seating. Very easy for us to drive to the port to get on our ship..

The staff was outstanding. My family and I were delayed getting back home to New England by several days due to a blizzard, and the staff took excellent care of us. Instead of a two day stay it turned into an additional 5 days. (Thank heavens there were rooms available during our unplanned extended stay in Ybor City.) The staff made suggestions of things we could do, sights to see, places to eat during our stay. They made our time there pleasant and actually felt like family by the time we were able to head Home. A big, big THANK YOU to Janice, Laurie and Miquel!! We loved everything.

I liked that the property was located close to downtown and the trolley train. I didn’t like that parking cost was not known upfront before booking, that nothing was allowed to be plugged into the TV(also not told to us prior to booking), room service barging into the room even with the do not disturb sign posted on the door

Parking is a pain as the parking garage fills up which is kind of a hassle. When I took a shower the next day I noticed writing on the mirror and I know it wasn’t my girlfriend who wrote it and it kind of freaked her out. Do better please. The pillows on the bed wasn’t as comfortable as I thought it would be

The check in staff, Makaella, seemed like she didn’t want to be at work. Not welcoming, no smile, nothing. Suggest adding someone at the check in desk that is more friendly. The check out staff woman was the complete opposite. Very friendly, big smile, and nice.

They changed our eoom choice couldn't sleep for the noise on that side of the building. The highlight was there shuffle service he was amazing. Showed us downtown and a restaurant. We enjoyed this part of the hotel. We will expect our stay in March to be better.

Before traveling, I called the toll-free number to inquire about the parking conditions, and they told me it was free. They even offered to make the reservation for me, but I didn't, I booked through Expedia. Upon arrival, I was told I had to pay $30 per day (a lie, it's $33), and that the central office wasn't familiar with each hotel's policies. We paid for the parking, but they gave us the wrong date, so we went back to reception where they gave us a parking permit, and to our surprise, it said "Parking fee per night $22 plus tax" and below "$30.00 plus tax - special events." I didn't see any special events. Our reservation was for four people, but they only provided amenities for three. On the second day, we didn't receive housekeeping services, and we were lucky they gave us new towels at the reception. This was on the 24th, and in the elevator, there was a sign thanking us for choosing the hotel and stating that "to allow our team time with families, housekeeping will be limited on Thursday, December 25. We will provide upon request trash pickup and fresh towels. Service hours 10 am - 2 pm." So, three days without housekeeping services, only for the next victims who were checking in. The most regrettable thing is the response from the staff. The only person who listened to us was the receptionist, Janice, who immediately gave us free parking for the remaining two nights and kept apologizing. We have stayed at this hotel more than five times, and this is the last. I wou

Love the complimentary shuttle that stops just a block up. Went back and forth to Riverwalk and port multiple times. Only thing to note on that- be sure to ask for a room on opposite side of hall from the track if you are sensitive to noise, as shuttle runs late depending on day. Large, updated clean room. Friendly staff.

From the street car to the folks that checked us in they couldn’t have been more pleasant Allie and Miquel are the super stars ! So helpful to us We hope to return one day

Our stay was due to a visit at Tampa General Hospital. Only 18-20 minutes away. The room was clean. Coffee always on. Love NYNY Pizza walking distance. Thanks Hilton.

Very understandable considering location of the hotel. It’s in a great location with many places to enjoy within walking distance. The pillows were less than average, I found myself adjusting most of the evening. I would definitely stay there again due to the location and what the area has to offer. 4 out of 5.

The hotel itself was very clean and staff/security were very kind and knowledgeable. The breakfast left more to be desired, but I’m not knocking any points off because of it. The only thing I wish was executed better was the parking situation; which is 30/night and there isn’t even enough parking spots if the hotel is busy like it was. But that aside, it is in a very convenient location with many restaurants and bars nearby that are within walking distance. The chickens that are wandering the area are very cute, too. :)

Staff was nice. Free breakfast was convenient. But my daughter came to pick me up and was here less than an hour and was charged $33.00. That’s too much.

This property is extreamly unsafe and the area is very dangerous, we were followed from the hotel to the pizzeria down the block then when we got back the front door key wasnt working it was extramly scary for two young women. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. The first thing they told us when we chwxked in was to be carful for people trying to traffic you ,its so sick felt like a set up

Check in was quick and easy. All the bars are a 3 minute walk away. Rooms are spacious, clean and modern. It's a great place to stay the night.

Not as nice as expected, unfortunately. It’s in the interesting old part of town with trolley right outside, which is nice, but bathroom in particular was unsatisfactory. The shower curtain leaked all over the floor and the toilet was old and close to broken.

It was colder in the hallways that it was in the rooms. Also, they don’t tell you there’s parking right outside the door finding the place is almost impossible or at least where to get into it.

Front desk personnel was amazing

The area is almost desolate during the day then at night it’s seedy at best. The room had roaches in the bathroom. As far as the rest of the hotel it’s fairly new and modern and well appointed for the value. the free breakfast was obviously brought in and reheated. The pool was very small and the pool area was very plain. Very nice “gym” room with a good amount of equipment from barbells to lighting machines and treadmills and such.

This is the second time i have stayed here this year. I like that they offer a free shuttle to the cruise port and that the trolley is right around the corner. I look forward to staying here again in the future!

Unfriendliness of staff members at front desk. Loudly chatting with other staff which made it hard to listen to check in. The check in lady sounded as if reading a script and never smiled or even acknowledged us upon walking up to desk and standing in front view for 30 seconds and no one else was there. Won’t be back!

Lower quality than expected for a Hampton Inn. Area wasn’t safe to walk around.

No at all impressed with the entrance of the Hotel. Two men on a elongated golf cart was stationed right in front of the front door. Loudly asking if we needed a ride. Going in we could see the pool; very pretty; except all you could see were many families and most of the older men were all smoking cigars in the pool. Immediately, we knew we would not be going in that. Breakfast was inedible; omelets were burnt, and tasted odd. Blueberry muffin tasted like paper. Room was okay.

The location of the hotel is good but there are better hotel options nearby in Ybor that are price competitive.

We stayed here the night before a Royal Carribean Cruise. We were so pleased with everything. Above anything else, the staff were so friendly, helpful and accomodating. The rooms were nice, clean and spacious and the breakfast was perfect. We also took the free hotel shuttle to the cruise port and this worked seamlessly. Would highly recommend staying here before a cruise or any time.

Check in staff was great, room had a leak that backed up to the bathroom. Checking out was a bit of a wait but shuttle driver was amazing!!!

On 8/2/25, My wife and I checked in for a one-night stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Tampa/Ybor and we paid for parking, which was available at the time, upon checking in. We left the hotel in the afternoon to attend a concert and upon returning for the night, we were told by a security guard, who was extremely helpful, that the hotel did not have any parking available on property, but he gave us directions to a public parking facility about half a mile away that we could park at. We ended up traveling to the public garage and parking there for the evening, but we were only allowed to park until 6:00am. The next morning (8/3), I left the hotel shortly after 6:00am to retrieve my vehicle, and then I decided to check-out of the hotel upon returning as their parking area was still filled. When checking out, my wife voiced her displeasure with the reservation attendant at the desk about being charged for parking at the hotel and being turned away later, and he gave her the contact phone # for customer service and the names of two managers at the hotel (Crystal/Hailey). After we left and returned home, my wife called the hotel and spoke with Hailey about being charged for parking and later turned away, and she (Hailey) immediately said that she would contact the parking company so that they could try to issue a refund, but she did not offer any apologies and appeared dismissive of the situation. Will never stay at this Hampton location again and definitely will not reccomend!

The front desk staff is Awesome! The Manager and General Manager were very un accommodating. My room shower didn’t work and I had to stay in the room for the night and they refused to give me a credit and they stated they will give me free parking for that day and I haven’t saw it yet. Also, they wrote specific notes in my stay about my children being adult and they are 12 & 13. This is not a family friendly hotel. The rooms are small, please make sure to add ur baby on ur stay my child is 1 years old and they were upset about that. Worst stay ever

Upon booking this hotel I knew that it was one of the stops along the way of the streetcar, that was one of the factors that I looked into when booking. The streetcar runs approximately two and a half miles and it will also take you down by the downtown area of Tampa where Riverwalk is. With that being said this is also within walking distance in Ybor City 7th Street. It is approximately 3 blocks to all the surrounding shops eateries bars ECT. Check-in was smooth everyone was very nice the beds super comfy and the breakfast in the morning was good. I would definitely recommend and I would stay here again.

Laurie the receptionist was super friendly and helpful. Took the time to help us with parking options, informed us of the trolley routes to get to the Amalie arena. She was super helpul and willing to help.

It was very clean and the guest service was outstanding. The front counter attendant, Allie was super helpful and very accommodating. We had just returned from a cruise that morning and our check in time wasn't until 3:00pm. She allowed us to check in our luggage and gave us the option to check in early once a room was available. She also gave us advise on where to visit and the location of the trolley stop near the hotel. I was so grateful the hotel was able to accommodate us. The pool area was nice and the overall hotel was super clean.

The hotel itself was great. The parking situation was terrible. We had to drive two vehicles that night and did not catch the $22 fee for parking. We scanned the QR code the front desk advised us about. I entered one vehicle then when I entered the second vehicle I had entered thew wrong plate info. There was no way to change it on the app. I asked the lady at the front desk and she said I have to contact the company because it is not through them. I did the chat and that was no help. I sent the company a message on their form and got no response. The next morning I had something on my car saying to register the vehicle. Piss poor service in my opinion. The fact that the hotel cant help you when you have to pay to park at their hotel is terrible. The website not being able to update the plate is terrible too. I will never stay at this hotel again just because of the parking being such a pain. Not to mention it is in a shady area and very limited parking spaces.

The property is nice, I would think they can make the breakfast options better being called the Hamptons, we liked our room it is nice. Although other guest think its ok to chat loudly at 3am, Not the properties fault but being in the area I guess it is expected?? Overall our stay was okay , they can do better though with the breakfast selection.

Was very convenient to get to Ybor downtown life

Was a perfect get away for us. Easy to grab an Uber and roam the planet. Great breakfast, clean room, amenities were great and we felt safe. I would return in a heartbeat.

We stayed here the night before boarding a cruise. There’s a free shuttle to the port. There’s also a free trolley downtown that is super neat to ride. It stopped near a Publix so we could get a few things we forgot for the cruise. The staff was super nice and informative.

The staff and hotel were great. The main issues there are nightclubs next door that had bass shaking the entire Hotel. It was so loud we couldn’t sleep till 2am when the club stopped.

Rooms were very expensive for event going on in town (Women's NCAA Final Four). Hotel was excellent, but we didn't get our room cleaned once in 4 days. We even asked the cleaning staff & only got towels & garbage taken out. For almost $500/ night we felt like they could have cleaned the rooms

While the property was located in a decent location, we weren't impressed with our room because we were placed in a room where construction workers were working outside our window. We had to request to be moved and when we are moved, our room smelled terrible like weed and dirt. The service of the staff was very good. They were helpful and friendly.

Great location if planning to visit Tampa and the Ybor City portion of Tampa

As for the parking lot—what a mess. There were very few available spaces, and the ones that were open were extremely tight. It made parking a real hassle.

In Tampa for the Women’s Final Four. This hotel was in a great location for those not looking to drive. Streetcar stop very convenient. Room was nice and good breakfast was served each morning. Definitely recommend!!

Everything was great

I had to sleep with the sheet covering my face to lessen terrible smell of the chemicals. I’m heading home early and missed the final game because of what Hampton Inn did to me. I had to call the front desk to pick up the air cleaning equipment and the guy lied to me. He said all rooms have those fans and ionization machine when the cleaning ladies clean the rooms. For God’s sake why would you put me in a room that was just fumigated and charge me. I could not find another hotel. I missed the final game and am flying home early back to Columbus during the game time. The trip cost me $2,000. Please refund me.

Had to leave one day early due to a family emergency. Had pre-paid. When asking for a refund of one night was told to call Expedia. Of course, when I called Expedia, they referred me back to the hotel. Also, requested to speak to GM three days in a row and was refused each time. Not a good way to resolve a problem.

The parking was very tight and limited. The room itself was okay. We had to work on the toilet to get it to flush. The closet doors were falling apart. We ended up moving rooms adter the first night as the trolley was very noisy

Very clean, quiet and nice property. Historic area nice to walk around. Enjoyed our stay overnight before our cruise the next day. Only issue we found was trying to find the front door to check in. It was in the parking deck. Also, very funny to have chickens running around outside .

We checked in here after a horrible experience at the Ramada across the street. The bar was great, especially loved being able to get a gluten free burger. The bartender was friendly and I highly recommend the smoked old fashioned. The room was nice, appreciated the soft lighting and it was very clean. Would stay again!

Garage was full when we checked in and was directed to park on the street down the road from the hotel the night of the very rowdy Gasparilla parade. Although we enjoyed the parade I didn't sleep much that night as I was worried about the car.

Hotel in good location for restaurants & bars in the evening. We stayed here pre cruise hotel offer free shuttle service to the port. Room basic but comfortable 50” television, fridge & toiletries. Free coffee throughout the day unfortunately the breakfast wasn’t to my taste with no healthy options.

The elevators were incredibly slow, and there was no attempt to fix them. There was one rude young man that was challenging my friend. They were shortstaffed and did not clean the room. Our garbage‘s were overflowing. They did not restock towels or soap. We had to go get those ourselves. When I’m paying that price for a hotel room, I expected it is a service coffee. The coffee and tea water were always cold. I have to say the breakfast buffet was attended as well as could be. There were a lot of people staying, and sometimes it took a while to get food up, but the young man who was doing it was doing his best.

We stayed at the property for location. And it truly was a great location. The hotel was decently clean but there were definitely spots in the room that were looked over. Then when we asked for the rest room to be cleaned we were told there were too many rooms to be cleaned and they wouldn’t be able to make it happen. We stayed two more days and the bathroom was never cleaned. Parking is $22 a day. And you have to pay that online. It was okay but felt like for the quality of the hotel they could have just included it for at least one car. Would look at other options in the area before booking here again but would not be opposed to coming back.

My family and I stayed there for a quick one night stay (checkin was easy) while waiting to get on an cruise, we arrived way before checkin time, the staff was friendly and helpful enough to lock our luggage away while we went to lunch and explored what they call old downtown Tampa. The young men at the front desk were friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and smelled fresh. Breakfast was pretty good and they even offered shuttle to the cruise ship!

This place is the best when exploring Ybor City, it’s super convenient to see what the city has to offer & when it involves going for the nightlife.

Exceptional staff - Allie at the front desk is a treasure! Hotel is conveniently located at the edge of Ybor City - a “must see” Tampa neighborhood. Hotel provides all essentials, room was clean and comfortable. Ybor City offers plenty of dining and entertainment options. Free streetcar going to the downtown and Riverwalk is an extra bonus.

Elevator #-1 never work, for our entire stay.

The room was fine and the location is very convenient. Check in is supposed to be 3pm but they didn’t have a room ready when we went to check in at 4pm. It wasn’t ready until almost 6pm. This was a management issue but the front desk just kept telling people that they weren’t required to have a room ready - only that check in starts at 3. Taking a little more responsibility and acknowledging that we have every reason to expect to be able to check in would have gone a long way. So if you stay here, don’t bank on being able to check in by any specific time.

Upon arrival parking was full, and no clear place for unloading. parking attendant says more parking available on lower level. We unload and go to check in. I booked a room that included drinks and snacks. The room is bare. I go downstairs to move my car and notify the front desk of the lack of items She answered in a bothered tone that they no longer provide those in room But rather a credit from the selections in the foyer she added in a rather stern tone that the credits do not carry over and are only good for one nite each. Ok whatever. I go out to park, lower level full upper level full. Attendant now tells me spaces are available on the street. I go and circle the block, all spaces full. i get a phone call from my girlfriend the toilet doesn't flush All within 10 minutes of arriving. I go back up to the upper level the attendant again tells me more parking on lower I tell him its full He tells i can park in public lot across the street, they just charged me 20 bucks a nite and now i have to pay for public? Im a little annoyed to say the least, the manager asks whats the problem I'll admit i was snotty but im not the in the hospitality biz His attitude was there's plenty of parking we own the whole block, the attendant never communicated that. Then i find out one elevator doesnt work the attitude from the manager was pretty much there's other places to stay. I couldn't agree more. Unprofessional behavior is not acceptable wont be back, more to say but space limits

This hotel was just what we needed to see the Lightening play while we were in Tampa for a quick trip. The location was perfect!
