The property is severely outdated and not well maintained. There was no elevator available, which created a significant accessibility issue. When I requested a refund due to the condition of the room and my concerns, management refused. The room itself was unacceptable. It had a strong sewage odor, the sink appeared dirty and had not been properly cleaned, there was black mold throughout the shower tile grout, and I even found bugs in the bed sheets. The overall cleanliness of the room was far below what any guest should expect. What made this experience even worse was an interaction with a male member of the cleaning staff. While assisting with my luggage, he repeatedly attempted to get me to hold his hand and began making inappropriate sexual comments. He also stood uncomfortably close to me despite my obvious discomfort. After I got away and entered my vehicle, he remained standing in the middle of the parking lot staring at me. His behavior was extremely unsettling and made me genuinely fear for my safety. I immediately reported the incident to the front desk. Unfortunately, the employee I spoke with appeared completely unconcerned and showed no interest in addressing the situation or ensuring my safety. Between the filthy room conditions, lack of accessibility, refusal to issue a refund, and the disturbing behavior of an employee, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had.

There were two gentleman at the front desk, one was very nice and helpful, the other was extremely rude. Not sure what the building was prior to it being a hotel, but you have to go outside and walk around the building to get to the lobby. Super annoying and super inconvenient. Tv remote didn’t work, I called the front desk and was told I’d have to go the the front desk to get batteries… in the pouring rain after working and driving all day. Beds were so hard, basically like sleeping on the floor. So hard, super uncomfortable. Loud guests all night, front desk doesn’t answer the phone after 9pm apparently. Also, the hotel front desk guy told me had I booked directly through the hotel I would have paid less than 80.00 per night. My booking through hotels.com was for 170.00 per night… so that’s not exactly great. For the amount of options throughout the area, it definitely wasn’t worth what we paid to stay there.

The only thing that was bad about my experience was the bed was like sleeping on a box spring. Everything was nice!

The lofts are sweet and convenient The staffs are Rude , nasty, and are known to call cops on couples. I stay here when I have chemotherapy in Tampa , and both times me and my wife got kicked out for nothing . They steal deposits and refuse to give refund for unused paid days at the hotel. They kicked me and my wife out of the hotel the morning after my chemotherapy treatment twice. This is also privately owned property so they don’t follow corporate rules. This place is ran wild Wild West style.

Everything at this Hotel exceeded our expectations!!!! It was beautiful and exceptionally clean. The staff was very professional. sweet and nice!!! Especially to my 3 year old son :) It was also very affordable and the with the military discount, it was even more cost effective!!! It is also conveniently located to the Tampa Zoo, Dinosaur World and Tampa Aquarium!!!!! <3 We will return to this hotel on our next vacation to these locations!!! Thank you so much for making our stay feel like "home."

Very cute, renovated hotel/motel. Rooms are clean and modern. I got an upgraded room with a kitchenette. I didn't even know it was going to have that. The courtyard and pool areas are very cute. It's a very quiet hotel since it's off the main road. There's a nice little pond with ducks behind the hotel. There are alligators in there too so don't get too close to the water lol. The continental breakfast was great. I liked the waffle maker. It made good waffles.

Not a welcoming room but that is not the problem. Main thing I needed was a TV and that didn't work. Staff came to fix but could not and had no other room for us so they said. I requested a discount because this was not a cheap room and they agreed to give a 20% discount that never came through even though I checked on it repeatedly even a week later. They lied about it and even said they would send proof to my email which never arrived either. I could have excused the TV to some degree but the deception on top was too much. Bottom line....an unappealing room, less than helpful staff, and dishonesty, all for a fairly hefty price. It goes without saying, I will never stay there again. So disappointed in the Clarion name... It used to represent quality.

I love the style of the buildings, the beautiful garden and the views from the room. The staff was very friendly and the entire property was well-maintained. For the room itself, it was very easy to use the Wi-Fi and TVs. Access to the room was simple and having two bathrooms for a family is so much better than sharing one. The air conditioning was excellent at keeping the room a comfortable temperature and dehumidifying, which is a huge pet peeve of mine when I feel wet and slippery the entire time I'm in the room. The pillows were really thick and bulky, more like a sandbag. The furniture was stiff but I slept well enough on it, and I might just be spoiled by my home mattress. The only real issue we experienced was noisy guests outside playing music and doing that super loud whistle noise over and over after midnight. Then some couple in another room were SCREAMING and banging on the wall while they went at it, which I would normally say good for them except my child was trying to sleep on the other bed. This went on until 4am, despite calling the front desk multiple times and notifying the clerk who said he was going to handle it. This hotel was too nice for motel-style behavior like that but it kept happening anyways. I hope it was a one-off situation.

The clerk insisted on the hard copy This would have been my fourth stay the clerk informed me that if I had attitude I didn't have to stay I was exhausted and only informed him that last week the clerk just copied that same paper. He told me to leave if I had attitude naturally I was not going to spend a thin dime there now or ever. He refused to refund my booking but never ever will he get away with such 3rd world tactics. The hotel was full & possibility he needed the room bc I told Expedia to have him get my original booking ready & he said there were no more rooms within 5 minutes. This was the perfect place to stay for a weekemd get away. Location is great! Close to the casino and a strip of bars with the best pizza ever! The pool was so nice, quiet, and peaceful with the plants and the music playing outside! The room is great with a counter for snacks and goodies and a place to eat and the bed was so comfortable! Ac was cold! If youre by the exit door it is slightly louder than other hotels but still slept great! The staff was very accomidating! We booked two night and was late checking it due to going to the morgan wallen concert and they were very nice about letting us check in late and letting check out at 12! Would 10/10 recommend to anyone staying in Tampa!

I specifically booked your hotel for three nights because there was a cooktop in my room. Unfortunately there wasn't one. I had bought food items that needed to be cooked so I was very disappointed in my stay.

Was worth the low price for the suit room. However the property does not offer a spa(jacuzzi) which it stated they did.. the foot traffic is high and noise level was outrages at all times through the night. Customer service was great at first then became rocky very quick. The rooms were filled up with alot of sketchy people. I dont wabt to addume but many 'single woman which definitely seemed like prostitutes the way they walked around and stood.

The breakfast was small but adequate for a quick stop. I did not partake however the coffee was decent. The room was clean and comfortable, the front office clerk was very professional. The hotel pool & the chairs were clean. The location is good and there is plenty of parking.

The breakfast was good considering the price of the hotel. The room was somewhat clean except for the sofa, which was disgusting. It really needs to be replaced and thrown away. My son had to sleep on the sofa as a couch. When we pulled out the sofa bed it was so gross we put it back. Other than that the stay was ok. The whole room needs a deep cleaning. For the price it was alright but I wouldn't stay there again.

I do feel the rooms could use a bit more attention as far as cleaning goes. The sheets, beds, kitchen area and bathrooms were pristine and very well maintained, but the floors in our room… well… needed a good steam cleaning. The walls and baseboards also need more attention between guests. This place has a TON of potential, and I can tell they are trying and it is well noticed. Just sending out a bit of constructive feedback. We’re easygoing people so it wasn’t a huge deal. The grounds felt safe and secure, the lobby and hallways were clean, updated, and smelled amazing. We were also upgraded free of charge as we wished to have a balcony, but the room grade we booked had run out of the balcony rooms, so they did us a solid, which we appreciated very much! It was a beautiful room overlooking the gorgeous pool area. We will definitely stay again if we need to book in the area. Not much. The pool did close at 8PM which we thought was somewhat early, but safety is key, I suppose.

We drove up for the BTS concert and it was the perfect overnight stay. Check-in and check-out were super quick and easy, property even had BTS music playing for the concert weekend. The staff were all super helpful and friendly. Property was well maintained and room was clean. Water pressure in the shower was 10/10, super grateful for that as other hotels don't have the best. Finding parking wasn't an issue and we could see the car from the room. We had a great stay!

The towels also had holes in them. One of the wash clothes just literally disintegrated while i was in the shower. I'd never seen anything like it. When we asked for more towels they told us we had to wait until 11am the next day to call down and ask for towels. But the phone didn't work, so not sure how we could do that. They also told us to just check by the pool, which also doesn't have towels. We eventually took the tattered towels down to the front desk to beg for more towels that weren't falling apart. They finally agreed to replace the towels, after a bunch of back and forth. The whole place also smells like old stale cigarette smoke and there are no elevators, which was fine but not ada friendly. We ended up checking out a day early.

The entry of the lobby was great and beautiful as well as the common grounds but when you walk into the halls to get into your room you are overwhelmed with a smell of “green” and a fragrance trying to cover it . It was a clean room and pool(that is cold ). But you get what at you pay for . They are trying to make it a nice place to stay but it’s the aroma that makes it a bad experience & if you are like me and not a fan of it , It’s not a bad place to lay your head for the night but not a long stay . I wish this place well and hope they can give more restrictions to making this place great !

From the outside, the hotel looked decent enough, but things quickly went downhill once we got inside. Our unit was a two-floor studio with a pull-out bed. The stairs leading upstairs felt very sketchy, and the flooring on the top level was uneven, which made the whole space feel unsafe and uncomfortable.There was a stain at the base of the bed. It wasn't a clean space. The pull-out bed. It didn’t have any bedding, and there were no extra linens in the room. We called the front desk to request bedding, but after waiting about 20 minutes with no response, we had to go down and get it ourselves after the concert, at midnight. To make matters worse, there wasn’t anyone at the desk when we got there, so we had to wait around until someone finally showed up. Overall, the lack of basic amenities, poor responsiveness from staff, and safety concerns made this stay far from enjoyable. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, especially for families.

The room was gorgeous and beautiful however there was major issues with the plumbing. Upon arrival, we were advised that they changed our room due to issues with the original booking of the room. When we checked in, we know that the toilet was not flushing and instead of maintenance coming to resolve the problem they instead handed us a plunger and told us to plunge it ourselves. When we plunged the toilet because of the smells that we’re backing into the room the next morning we found that the toilet had overflowed and backed in the front desk. Staff apologized and said that she would issue a refund like a discount, but she would not clarify how much and told me that I had to go back through expedia.com to find out we paid over $400 for the room for one night and just must say I was highly disappointed, and I am still waiting on my refund

It was a cool stay. Staff was cool. The room was good, although the walls were thin. Cleanliness of the room was 7.8/10 to me. They should invest in new wash cloths and towels. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay.

Nice hotel, friendly staff at check in and check out. WiFi was lightning fast which was good as I had a work call to dial into. Breakfast was basic but good quality and nice presentation. My room was huge, comfy bed and pillows. Shower is excellent. One complaint only, one drawer in the kitchen was dirty which was weird because the rest of the room was spotless. Good value for money and a great location. Will stay again.

Night shift dude has the worse attitude. Not the guy that was in training but the reg night shift dude. Needed a sheet or something for the dirty sofa in my room, he refused to give me one. Day shift guy said, "no here's an entire bed in a bag." I also don't recommend this place for kids. This hotel is more like a motel with motel type people. The AC, there is no way to stop it from blowing on "north pole." The two-story room is a good concept but for a no smoking hotel, the hallway smelled like weed and my room smelled like cigarettes. I don't have time to add photos, but also the room looked like it needed paint, the doors where wore and scuffed.

Beautiful balcony over the pool. Private balcony at that. I didn’t like that I stayed 9 night and it was like every night went way higher in fees. I paid the first two nights at $298. Then I bought a 6 night 7 day stay for $793. Then I was going to book one more week and then they wanted $1639. I understand events in the town can raise room rates or things. But she told me I could pay $149 for the night until I made a decision if I wanted to buy another week. I decided not to because they were literally banging on the doors at 10am talking about checkout. Which isn’t until 11. Some staff was amazing. But the price doesn’t seem right and I asked four times for maintenance request for the AC and the loft unit that the thermostat was not working so after a day and a half of no maintenance no show yet my experience with air conditioning I seen that the thermostat was blank so I know it was a common wire or batteries so I went by batteries put them in there and it came on, but it still just had no calling effect for the top loft and the entire week. I would tell them about that and they said OK send somebody up and I never got a maintenance so if you can find the rooms for less than 100 a night, maybe it’ll be worth it but other than that I would just say stay somewhere a little nicer. Rushed for checkout and promised maintenance that never showed after 9 nights.

The property is clean & well maintained. I waited 10 minutes to check in because no one was attending the front desk. Breakfast was scarce; waffle maker, some cold cereal, 1 flavor of yogurt, and plain bagels. But, what totally turned me off is the room; I felt like I had just checked into a hospital. Rooms are very cold feeling and uninviting. I left the evening before I was to check out.

We travel to Tampa often to see my family and I have been wanting to stay here for a while. I finally did and it did not dissapoint. From the perfect suite to the excellent and attentive staff, an ELITE property to stay at. Super clean and beautifully put together, the sweetest staff and the coolest little pond that makes me feel like I am watching Animal Planet live, right from the balcony... it is PERFECT. This is our new place and I can't wait to come back!

Staff leaves you alone. Housekeeping is optional and only when you call. Rooms are keycard accessible without having to go through the main lobby. Breakfast has the BEST waffles and good coffee. Just stay away from the pond in the back of the building because there is actually a gator in it and you will have a great time.

This is a budget hotel, it was not fancy; but we found it to be clean, quiet, and in good condition. We did not have any issues with our room. The included breakfast was appreciated, but it is very basic: waffles and cereal; but it will cover you until you can set yourself up for a real meal.

The hotel was renovated, but not done with looking for the details. The shower was excellent, but the shower entrance, for example, was very cheap and partially painted over, and looked dirty. I needed extra time after the checkout at 11 AM and was charged $15 per hour, and a $4 fee for the hotel per night.

Air conditioning was very low though can’t feel the cold air upstairs bedroom. Breakfast is not the best as only cereals, oatmeal and pancakes but it’s fine with us as we’re not a morning eater, but hot breakfast would been great to add on. Overall experience was good. Amigo and the brown gentleman who works all around in the morning with his wife was amazing, very friendly even with his little English but he tried to communicate, he even helps us bring our stuff downstairs as he saw us struggling bringing them down the stairs.

The breakfast area is way too small, usually out of basic things, and closes early. Staff is friendly, accommodations, rudimentary.

A few issues: The toilet would not flush properly. That’s a basic thing that should be working. It took multiple flushes to get the job done. The shower had conditioner in both dispensers instead of shampoo AND conditioner. That’s another basic thing that should have been done properly. The coffee maker was missing a part. So, no coffee for me, unless I walk to the breakfast area. Another item that is expected to work. The television did not work. It turned on, but beyond offering an additional lighting source, it was useless. No laundry bags in the room. This is a normal, basic thing that I had to ask for. I never received them. The hotel stinks of weed (during our visit) and the rooms need a good cleaning. Also, a little paint here and there would be a good idea. Just do the basics. I wasn’t expecting perfection. I did, however, expect the basic things to be done properly. The staff was very nice. The accommodations were not.

An issue we ran into was brown splatter (which they later claimed was grease…?) on the bathroom door, shower curtain, and below the mirror in the bathroom. We alerted the front desk man who said nothing could be done until the following day when maintenance came back. They promised a new room after discussions, which ended up not happening and cleaned it by spraying something over it and changing the shower curtain. This left us in a fume filled room where we just tried to get through the rest of the time there. The most redeeming part of this hotel was the nice trees in the walkway and the lake with ducks around the side.

I love this hotel. It is beautiful with a neighboring pond and gorgeous garden patio area. Navigating was confusing the first morning exiting into the patio area but soon got my bearings. My room was amazing! I loved having a real eating area and bed away from the door. The only feedback I gave when checking out was about mopping the floors. My socks and bottom of feet were literally black and I'd just bathed so my feet were clean. When the front desk understood it was not my making a mess but the floors condition at arrival he was very professional thanking me for the feedback and he would let housekeeping know. The breakfast was fine but I could not partake as a diabetic. Mostly refined carbs although those waffles being made smelled delicious! There was a lower sugar yogurt. I typically am prepared with my own proteins. The microwave and refridgerator were both clean and working. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Didn’t partake in the breakfast but the room was super clean and was a cute set up. The room we had was loft and the layout was nice. I did notice that unlike the last loft I stayed in on a previous visit. This one did not have a half bath down stairs which was fine. The downstairs tv would not turn on once again, not a big problem since I was only there for the night.

The location is great if you have a car, not many stores within walking distance. There is a pond in the backyard, it has many birds, lovely to look at from balcony. The king suite although i really loved the set and the room. The cleaning of the rooms. Stuff on walls that a quick wipe would take off the light switches were so gross simple things really but go along way. Im sure it needs deep cleaning but these werw things that were noticeable quickly without being OCD.

The hotel could improve it’s amenities such us the gym. The machines there were in poor conditions. Also de toaster at the breaks fast. One side was not working. This is a shame as this appliance doesn’t cost a big deal.

Property was clean and updated. The room was also clean. I booked a room for 4 which included a sofa bed. There was no bedding for it in the room. I had to walk to the front desk to obtain it and once I opened it, realized it didn’t even include a sheet the right size. Only a thin brown blanket was provided, which wasn’t very warm. Our AC was malfunctioning and made it extremely cold in the room. The receptionist at the front desk did bring a space heater and extra brown blankets. I asked for a big comforter but I was told they didn’t have anymore. We had a table in the kitchen with only two chairs.. not sure where the other two were. Breakfast included which was a plus but they could benefit from some hot breakfast like eggs, sausage, etc.

Staff was kind, called as we were checking in (arrived late at night). Room was alright. Comforter was torn and had markings left on it (when I asked the staff she said it had been washed, just stained…) it was stained and torn. AC wasn’t exactly up to par, and the room had a smell of old cigarettes. But the courtyard was lovely!!

I would not stay here again. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't good either. The hallway to our room reeked of beer and weed, at all times. At approximately 5:00am I was awoken by people cursing at each other at the top of their lungs, and slamming doors. Not at all worth the $211 price tag. The morning staff were very friendly, but the evening staff were not. There was a $4 hidden administrative fee upon check-in (not concerned about the amount, only that it was not disclosed at booking). The toilet didn't flush well. The bed was comfortable enough, the A/C worked well and wasn't too loud. The unit had a new kitchenette, and the room had all the necessities. But the rooms were partial remodels, so the ceiling was quite apparently aged, as was the shower door, and the paint/trim job wasn't clean. They had a nice-looking "market" in the lobby. The pool was small, and looked ok, but we didn't use it. I can't speak to breakfast, as we tried to walk through the building as little as possible (thankfully, we were right next to an exit door), and opted to eat out. I gave 3 stars on the off-chance that staff was having a bad day and it was an unfortunate coincidence that we were in the same hallway as the unpolished guests.

The room was quaint and doable. I know it is my fault but I accidentally left an entire outfit of clothes in the bathroom. When I realized this two days later and called hotel they stated nothing had been found. Really? I’m disappointed that my personal items were taken apparently by hotel staff and I’m certain they had my phone number they could’ve reached out to me to notify me of my mistake. At least give me the opportunity to come back and get it which I was able to the very next day before you take peoples’ personal items. It wasn’t just a hair tie or a missing sock, it was a whole outfit :(

The walls and floor were dirty as if they havent ever been cleaned. There were cracks in the floor in the loft where the bed was. Check-in was easy and the person was nice. The property is cute. However, there was no lock on the balcony door so that was scary.

The room was dated, poorly maintained and smelled of stale cigarette smoke. My clothes and pillow smelled like the room when I got home. The walls are paper thin, you can hear your neighbors, people in the halls all night. I can’t believe people actually stay here. Thought I was getting a good deal but worst hotel stay I’ve experienced in a while. Surprised the place was full.

We came here for work and stayed one extra day to enjoy the fair. The location is great distance to the Florida State Fair. The rooms were clean and smelled great. The breakfast was good with waffles, cereal and bagels. The beds were very comfortable. The only downfall from my partner is that the tub did not work. So showering was the only option.

The rooms were spacious and very clean. The property was not far from the State Fair Grounds, which made it easy to attend the fair. The only downfall is that the stopper does not work in the tub for baths.

The room smelled of smoke which stated on the site that it’s supposed to a non-smoking place, the beddings had an odor on it. It was only for a night and I am not impressed to return.

The room/studio apartment appeared clean, but the smell of marijuana from the pillows and hair on the blankets was unpleasant. The exterior was clean and organized, and the breakfast served was excellent and varied. The service was basic; they did the job, but politeness isn't a strong point of the guys who work at reception after 8 or 9 pm. In the morning, the woman was very kind and helpful. In short, 3 stars. It would be 5 if the blankets and pillows smelled clean. The smell in the reception area and the hotel hallways is unfortunately quite different from the room.

The place seemed a bit dirty. I stepped on a roach getting out of the shower. There was a strong odor in the lobby and hallway. I have also been extremely ill since Sunday which was out last day of a 2-day stay.

Immediately upon walking into the room, it smelled like weed, as if someone literally just smoked in there. I booked the room with four people, two adults, two children, and yet I only got enough towels for three people. The place was disgustingly, dirty, did not look like it had been cleaned. The shower was really weird trying to figure out how to work it, but it did get scorching hot. The pullout couch, the bed was broken and the sheet already on the mattress was disgustingly dirty. When I tried to take the sheet off, the mattress was beyond disgusting. I refuse to let my kids sleep on it. There were no extra sheets, blankets, or pillows provided.Thank God, I brought an air mattress and had my kids sleep on that instead and brought our own sheets. The only hot food they have is the waffles, other than that they really had no great options. My kids got sick after eating their yogurt. The stairs are really steep, there’s cracks in the rails, I felt like I was going to fall through. I’m glad I only had to stay there for one night because I would not have been able to do it for more than one. I would never stay here again, this place is not meant for kids. My bags and other belongings smell like weed because of the room. I truly wish I could get a refund because this was not worth the stay!

There is an unwelcoming odor at the facility that is strong at the reception desk area and lingers everywhere (including the room). It’s like a mix of musk with cleaning product and fragrance. The rooms seem renovated but there are details that could be worked on. The sink faucet had calcium build up. There was a pillow case that didn’t seem to have been cleaned/sanitized. Thankfully, I only needed a 1 night stay. I couldn’t have stayed longer, and needed to go outside for fresh air after the sleep (slept on my jacket instead of the pillows).

Outstanding service by the staff who was courteous, professional and helpful. The place is clean and located close to the Tournament Sportsplex arena. Strongly recommend as this place is reasonably priced and of utmost value.

The toilet water ran 24 hours. We Couldn’t sleep first night at all. I Tried to ask them to fix it the next day, but it was still running. I personally need to solve it by turning off the water. The property has an unpleasant smell in the whole room section. The king size bed is more like a queen. It’s close to the tournament Sportsplex, 5 minutes drive.

The room had no table and only one chair — and the desk chair provided was so dirty and uncomfortable that I had to put a towel on it to sit. Because we were two guests, I requested an additional chair, but the hotel had no spares and brought a patio chair from outside instead. Still, there was no proper table to use. The bathroom layout was extremely inconvenient. At night, the bright light made the toilet fully visible from the bed, waking up the other person multiple times and creating unnecessary frustration during our stay. The desk area was very small and the TV was positioned directly above it, which made it impossible for one person to work while the other watched TV — again causing tension and discomfort. Additionally, there was a constant sewer smell coming from the bathroom, which made mornings especially unpleasant. Despite requesting housekeeping during this long stay, only towels were replaced; the bed was never made and sheets were not changed, which was very disappointing. Overall, between the unpleasant odor in the room, the lack of proper furniture, and the unsatisfactory housekeeping service, this stay was far below expectations. I do not plan to stay with this brand again.

This property is clean and well loved by its owners. We’re an older couple and stayed in one of the loft units, which would be great for a family or 2 couples. Unfortunately, we both have artificial knees and had no idea we’d have to climb stairs to get to up to our bed, a bit of a challenge. They are also managing some hot water issues. Knowing the owners it will be taken care of, however keep this in mind when booking off you have mobility issues like us.

Overall I love the setup it was very cute. The half bath down stairs was perfect. Made you feel like you were in a home type setting. Honestly wish I stated more than a night. Is definitely on my list of places to stay at again.

My overall experience was very good. I stay at this location every month, and I am always impressed with the hospitality. The staff is consistently friendly, professional, and very understanding. I would especially like to recognize Falghuni, the manager, as well as Joy at the front desk, along with the rest of the team. They are always welcoming, easygoing, and make my stay comfortable every time.

cute little place to stay. it has a little pond you can fish and see a baby alligator and if your lucky enough a 14 foot big alligator will show his face lol. the only down fall was i still never received my 2nd deposit back. so dont book thru Expedia and ask for another night bc you will have to pay 2 deposits and may or may not get your deposit back

Overall it was a decent hotel! The lobby was over fragrant which causes issues for those who have allergies! Then the hall smelled like stale smoke. The room was ok. The bedding was super thin. Noise was minimal!

The property was in a convenient location. It was a quiet safe area. The main lobby area, outside sitting areas and pool was very clean. Our room was clean however it had a musty smell that was trying to be covered up with some type of cleaner that made it worse. The AC unit in our room made a popping sound every time it kicked off.

Nice hotel but I had an unpleasant experience. Called months before my trip to make sure I could do extended parking while on a cruise. They said yes; called a week again before my trip to confirm; again yes. During check-in reiterating I would be leaving the car for a week. All was good. The morning of getting into my Uber to the cruise port— they indicated they do not allow extended parking. Nearly missed my Uber, then received multiple back to back phone calls as I boarded my cruise. They started off my vacation beyond stressful. Had 2 other friends book this hotel for their cruise in Oct and luckily informed them of this situation so they cancelled their reservation.

I guess I expected a larger room when I reserved a King. Breakfast needs help.

I showed up five minutes early never check in but my room wasn’t ready which was understandable. The front desk receptionist told me she would give me a call so I left to do shopping with my daughter. I waited for three hours and never received a call which was confusing and frustrating. When I returned to the hotel the receptionist asked how she could help me. I replied that I was waiting for a call that my room was ready for me to check into which I didn’t receive she apologized and said she got busy which I understand but she was sitting and eating which made me feel like I wasn’t important or a valued guest. There was tape on the floor of the room as if a repair didn’t get done before renting the room out. The back of the bathroom door had tape over it as well instead of repairing it before renting the room out.

We couldn't even stay there. They had no power, they had no idea when it wouldn't be back. Terrible experience no manager on sight yo get a refund. We had to stay at another hotel.

Beautiful property, lots of character. Breakfast was good however the only protein source available during breakfast came from dairy. So just be mindful of that. Enjoyed the quiet and the lake view.

Food options

Hidden gem at an affordable price. You get what you pay for is a little bit of an understatement for this property. Booked the suite with turned out to be a one bedroom loft with a 2nd half bath on the first floor. Nice working space in the kitchen. Only draw back it really needed to be touched up and it there was a bit of an old hotel smell kinda like an extended stay.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in!! When i first arrived there was a lady in the lobby being asked to leave by josh at the font desk after stating she had mental issues and a shouting match started! Then the room that me and my family was given had BLOOD on the sheets!!! I almost threw up!! Then josh tried to calm me down saying all the rooms were booked and he came up and changed all my bedding and said he was so sorry and promised me he would comp my entire stay!!! He Lied!! Then when we were trying to somewhat rest sitting up in a chair because we were scared to get in the bed my cell phone rang and it was Josh again at 1159 pm saying they needed to come in my room that time of night saying they had to check for leaks all in my room!! I was horrified!!! Josh apologized again saying he doesn't care what management says he was going to comp my room for the entire stay due to everything that keep going on with us!!! I was so pissed and upset and then found out they all lied!! I spoke with a Amy at the front desk who assured me the manager named Val would call me and she NEVER DID!! I kept calling back and I also spoke to a Mel who said the same thing and it was all a lie!!!! I am very upset and I want all my money back for this horrible Hotel!! Please stay away and don't ever book here because they will take you money and treat you badly and give you the most disgusting hotel ever!!!

Great place to stay

We checked out after only one night due to multiple reasons. The first being everyone I spoke to at the hotel has an attitude. From the moment I called to let them Know i would be arriving late the woman on the phone cut me off while stating my name to ask who’s name popped up on the caller ID bc it did not match the reservation (it was my wife’s name) then when we arrived the man who checked us in also gave us a hard time about our arrival time. The hotel had an overwhelming perfume odor. Once we got to our room it did not have a balcony or courtyard view as shown on Expedia. But it was the middle of the night and we had just drove 7 hours so we went to bed. The bed was hard and slept terribly. During the night i woke up coughing as the smell of cigarette smoke and cleaning products came through the vents. The next morning i went to ask about the room accommodations and was told balconies are an upcharge (even though it did not say that anywhere on Expedia or their website) they could not switch me due to being booked for that type of room. I tried to even get a regular king room (the suite has stairs to the bed area) and the lady i spoke to was not accommodating and also was coming off as rude. We ended up checking out and going to a different hotel. It was not a pleasant experience

This was a nice stay. Its tucked away, away from the city. So its a very quiet area. Beautiful older hotel revamped. Very pretty around the pool. And pool deck. How ever the pool was a huge disappointment. It was murky dirty. Filthy to be exact. Which was one of the reasons I picked it. never once was brave enough to use it. My room was nice. But tv was awful. you had to download your own accounts. No basic live tv. I had the desk lady come down to help. Said there was. But then really didn't know either. And then said she was going. To sit in our room to hide? But other than that we stayed for 3 days. Visiting family. Pool and Tv were my only issues. Oh and my hall way smelled of pot bad. All the time. But what ya going to do?

The the properties interior and exterior was very clean and bug-free, the staff were all nice and acomadating. Plus the beds were very comfy. We will be back in the near future for another visit.

I reserved 2 suites from Friday until Sunday for a fun filled family stay-cation. This was our 1st. time staying at this hotel and it was absolutely wonderful! The included breakfast with waffles and others yummy choices were fabulous. Furthermore the niceness of the entire staff were very accommodating and friendly, rooms were clean and bug-free, . Try this hotel out you won't regret it.

The rooom was very nice and everything was clean

First of all the receptionist was very accommodating, he was very pleasant to talk to and also upgraded our room free of charge.😁 The Hotel its self has been remodeled to look for Modern, yet keeping with the chic beachy theme. When we (my husband and I) walked in we were both pleasantly surprised by how gorgeous and clean the Lobby was. Not to meantion the smell, a very clean yet flowery. Kind of like a bougie womans house. I am going to find out what it is so i can get it for my house. We just got back from grabbing something to eat and only had to drive about 10 mins up the road where there is a Strip Mall and lots of nice restaurants. We just woke up and checked out. The bed was very comfy, so got a good nights sleep. I very much recommend Clarion Hotel for any future stays. 😁

The hotel is beautiful, they are in the process of updating but still clean and rooms are very pretty and clean with up to date everything. Definitely will be back.

Nice hotel

Our stay was absolutely amazing as it always is when we stay at this hotel. My husband and I live in the area however occasionally we like to stay a night or two away from home. Every single time we decide to stay away we go straight to check the availability at this hotel. It’s always clean, cozy, beautiful, and all staff is friendly. We never have any issues. The owners have renovated this hotel with their guests in minds. Great job!

They only clean the pool once a,week on Wed. Unable to use it. They told us it would be cllosed all week then let people swim in a Diety pool .People can get sick from this.We beought our children so they could swim. Could have just stayed home .wasted 3 days.

Close to I-75 and casino

Room was very nice and clean. The only thing was the keycard to the outside of the room kept the evening Manager running to open the door for us. He was very pleasant and very courteous.

All wasn’t good got no sleep was lied to about stairs after telling them I have bad knee. Tub and long and short hairs in it and bed felt like middle had dent and I was laying on humps. Also bout 8 kids and adults were loud screaming running hall way it was just awful

We weren’t given the room we booked, we found a few bugs. Water shut off mid shower. Were told it would be a 20 minute shut off, ended up being longer.

Quite and beautiful stay.

Driving towards the property was very beautiful very clean upon entering the reception area. It smelt beautiful again. It was extremely clean. Staff was very friendly. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to be secluded nice quiet, beautiful setting this is perfect very beautiful.

It was convenient to where I had to be.

The staff were friendly, but the property was very nasty. We had people come in our room to put a chair in there (while we were not there), but they did not take the dirty towels or even remake the bed... remotes were hidden and the couch... ew... just ew... everything was dirty except the lobby. Pool was gross and had nasty black tiles and dirty bottom. Our bathroom shower had a pubic hair on the wall. The whole hotel room was very gross. Photos on website did not match the true picture.

The only complaint I have as someone with asthma, the hallways had a strong smell of cleaning supplies, then the room when I first walk in has a stale water leak smell so I had to stay away from those areas or pass them quickly. The actually bedroom part with the bed had no smell. I appreciated the hanging flower baskets in the back middle area which was pretty. I had trouble with the tv and maintenance figured it out and wouldn’t leave until it was fixed. I would stay again.

Room 204 was spacious and very clean but may need a good refurbish. Microwave oven had terrible burns, floors near the main bed are damaged and sinking. TVs took a little handling.

Rooms were clean and comfortable but the lack luster breakfast for the price ruined it. When it was quality inn breakfast was a lot better. For the price of the room u can stay at multiple other hotels with much more amenities

Love the villa style at courtyard

Strange “Feng Shui”/room layout. Very clean, comfortable bed. A little too much light coming into the room with shade down. Could not get cool water in the shower. It took awhile to get the hot water to go down to a usable level.

The employees were fantastic. They were in the process of remodeling so that brought with it small inconveniences the main problem for me was I had called prior to booking about the breakfast that was served. I have celiac, They assured me that they had eggs and other foods but there were no eggs only yogurt and tangerine that I could eat. My first room had a hole in the floor but they were kind to move me to a different room.

Hall's carpet is not clean and smells

I think it was a great hotel. All staff were kind and polite.

So many things wrong with this stay. First, upon arrival I was charged a $16 resort fee, even though I was prepaid. Then, there was the smell, awful! At first I thought it was pot, but after a couple of days I think it's the cleaning products they used, kinda like rancid lemongrass, heavy and cloying and EVERYWHERE in the building. Room stank of it, couch had stains all over it, including where it looked like someone had sat without wearing underwear. Layout is weird, a two story thing with bedroom on second level, but there's virtually no light indoors, one tiny lightbulb on each floor. Also, no way to turn off the downstairs light from upstairs, so had to traipse back downstairs to turn that light off. Paint on the railings all chipped and beaten, bed had a huge crevasse in the center, shower curtain had a suspicious brown stain on it. That being said, the pillows were quite good, the place had been cleaned quite thoroughly and the bed was very professionally made. The noise though... The exterior door is that push-bar type and people were in and out all night, slamming into the push bar and then the door would slam closed, startling me awake. I was there during the week and workmen started on some kind of "clinking" project just after 7AM and also just before 8AM on Saturday. Between the smell, the noise, the uncomfortable bed, the weird stains, there is NO way I'm staying here again.

The rooms are clean but very stark. What they call a closet is nothing more than a cubby or cutout into the wall, as it does not contain any shelving or a rod to hang your stuff. The stairs in the lofts are steep, narrow, and dangerous. The TVs are kind of out date; no Netflix or YouTube access, they were not smart TVs. They were hung oddly high on the walls and were kind of small too. The carpet in the hallway of the second floor is stained everywhere and has one long stain like someone dropped something and dragged it a from end to the other of the hallway. There is NO ELEVATOR!!!! How do you have a second floor without an elevator? The "continental breakfast" is a joke. There is no ice machine on the second floor. Don't be fooled by the quaint pretty pictures of the outside. Yes the place is clean and the staff is nice but the rooms are odd, stark and sparse.

It wasn’t what it was portrayed on the site. The pictures were very misleading in the type of room we would receive.

The staff was great, very gracious in their customer service. The property overall was good. I thought the room could use a good cleaning as there were signs of spills or something on the bathroom walls running down to the baseboards that either a scrubbing or paint could remedy. The ac unit was very musty smelling. The room was spacious and bed was comfy. We were only there in the morning and at night so it was fine for what we needed. We didn't use any of their facilities otherwise and they have a complimentary breakfast but we did not get a chance to try it. Again tho, the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Though the breakfast isn't all that, the lighting in the rooms and hallways could be less harsh, and the place could use a little refresh, the service is really kind and responsive. The staff is extremely attentive to your needs and really takes the time to hear you out. If you are here on business, it does the job, though it's not a place I'd consider beyond 2.5 stars. I'd say families would be OK here or couples wanting to spend a few days in the area and not be confined to their hotel rooms (staying out all night). It's definitely not a romantic stay though and if you want more impeccable digs (furnishings, hallmates), maybe skip this one. If you're just here on business or a stopover, don't hesitate: this place will do the job.

Lobby looks great. Breakfast was good enough. Rooms were pretty good. Would definitely stay here again, but don’t expect glamorous. Staff was very kind and helpful. Just needed a place to stay before boarding a cruise and this place fit the bill!
