It was very clean and I felt safe. Parking is $25 per night, which I did not read about prior to staying. So, just be aware of that.

On a positive note, the beds were extremely comfortable, which ultimately is what matters most for a good night’s sleep. The complimentary breakfast was also a nice bonus and very convenient. Overall, despite the cleanliness concerns in the common areas, the stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

Location was great for FSU orientation.

I recently stayed at Hampton Inn & Suites Tallahassee Capitol - University and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was clean, modern, and well-maintained, making it a comfortable place to relax after a day of exploring Tallahassee. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with any questions or requests.

We stayed here for two nights. When we arrived my husband used the restroom on the lobby level- trash was overflowing , he went to use it again today and the trash was still in the same state- he took a photo that first day for reviews and again today and it’s the same trash pile which likely means that space has not been cleaned recently.. printer was broken in business area , and toiletries available if you forgot something were non existent . My husband forgot shaving cream and was given some old powder that didn’t do anything when you added water to it. It seems the staff is willing to help which is great but amenities and cleanliness could be better for sure.

I stood in the lobby for over an hour after midnight while Expedia and the property argued over my reservation. In the end, I had to demand a refund and go to another hotel. IT WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! The customer service apologized, but never actually helped.

Overall, our stay was fine and the convenience of the location outweighed the negative aspects. The water in the shower never got truly hot. It just stayed warm. Also, the AC in the room did not seem to work at full power. Breakfast was fine, but the roasted potatoes became quite mushy under the metal cover. Again, these are minor things and the staff were very helpful, but we were not overly impressed with the room.

We were in town for a concert and stayed overnight night. Location was great, room was clean, bed was comfy, staff was helpful, and breakfast was decent. Would gladly stay again.

Friendly, welcoming staff and a dependable breakfast with our favorites and that helped our stay to be enjoyable. Our preference is to stay in a safe place close to the highway. This locations was lovely, but I think we didn’t like navigating the Tallahassee roads. So for us, we will stay at convenient locations near the highway.

The sitting areas were large and we brought dinner in one night and had a nice quiet meal. Liked that we could get coffee and tea anytime. Hot chocolate would be a nice addition. The hotel is a great location, and quiet and very clean. They have a nice snack store with a lot of varitety. Pool was cool, but clean. It was mid April. I don't like paying to park at my hotel. Just put the fee in the room rates. The first night we were there we had an ill friend who had to fly out the next day, so we were able to pay for the adjacent connecting room to ours so she could have her own room and rest without us bothering her. The room was huge! And there were four of us, so we asked if we could just take that room, and let her stay in our current room which was much smaller. They told me it was going to be booked after that night, but nobody ever stayed in that connecting room. I was willing to pay any price difference, so why did they tell me that when nobody ever stayed in that room? It ticked me off a bit. We had a lot of baggage from a weeks beach vacation prior, and we were only there from Tuesday to Saturday. I'm a Hilton Honors Member.

Staff is amazing!

I would like to recognize Austin at the front desk and Victorria from Housekeeping, both of whom did an excellent job assisting under the circumstances. This situation is not a reflection of their efforts, but rather a concern regarding the room being cleared for the next guest despite the lingering odor. I was also surprised that no compensation was offered, which is something worth reviewing from a service recovery standpoint.

Hotel was very clean, staff was nice. AC compressor started making a really loud noise at 11pm. They found another room for me and I was able to move. Breakfast area was very clean. I did not know there was a fee for parking - $26. Don't know if I overlooked it on hotels.com or if it's not mentioned. I would have selected another hotel with free parking that would have aligned with my budget.

Our room was clean and very quiet. It included small refrigerator and microwave. Free full breakfast each morning, eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, muffins, bagels, cereal, juice, coffee,...etc. Parking fee is an extra $25.00 per night. Great location within easy walking distance of FSU campus and stadium. Nearby restaurants and bars.

The hotel was very well located in walking distance of the Capital and FSU. Terribly overpriced. The rates were raised presumably because there was a convention and the Legislature is in session.

the set up the room is well thought out with open rack drawers in white cabinets so you can see your stuff, and open drawers in the bathroom, as well as a small shelf to keep my items away from the sink. I had recently been traveling and stayed in multiple high end hotels and there were a lot of inconveniences in the name of "pretty". the blind's chain is loud- i could hear the next room only when they opened/closed blinds. There was an increase in unhoused people in the area, one of whom was sitting on the back steps of the hotel where the front desk could not see.

Only issue we had were road closures during our stay that made it difficult to get to entrance and parking.

Staff was rude, specifically Melissa when I checked out this morning. The room was dirty and run down and the room in general was loud and I could literally hear every door closing on the floor the whole night. The front desk in general was clearly unhappy and because this hotel is in college town and right by the stadium, it's just a loud and noisy area. Not a good stay!

This my family and I second time staying at the Hampton’s. From the outside appearance to the interior, it was immaculate. The staff was very pleasant. They gave eye contact and made us feel welcome.

The web site said all pets up to 65 pounds. We got there and they said no cats. I even called them to confirm before I booked. We had to then find another hotel that accepted cats and dogs. The wife said we will no longer use Travelocity and will never stay at a Hilton ever again.

The breakfast was very plentiful, not sure if the eggs are real though. They were out of coffee on the day I was there...inexcusable in my opinion. The location was the highlight. Very close to FSU and FAMU and Gaines street.

My room was not ready at the time of check in. It was a huge inconvenience for me and my husband. We drove into Tallahassee for his birthday and they didnt even give us a head ups that the rooms were not going to be ready.

This location is ideal. Near food and both universities. It was easy for me to spend time with my daughter and handle errands without driving far. This location is near a grocery store, restaurants and shopping. As a Hilton member, the price per night was higher due sport events and homecoming event. Nevertheless, the convenience was unmatched!

This hotel is disgustingly overpriced for the average at best accommodations they provide. Then they tack on a $20 per night shelf parking charge for their outdoor lot. Completely not worth the money. We have stayed in better hotels in the area for a much fairer price and much nicer facilities.

Super clean. Friendly staff. Rooms were good size; clean; updated. Complimentary breakfast was as good as the $100 buffet we had the day before in Orlando. Shower pressure was a joke. How on earth anyone with hair is able to wash it, is an enigma. Same for a child. I had to resort to filling the paper coffee cup with water to wash my 3 year olds hair adequately. And the lack of trash cans - in the room and on the property. My husband ended up just leaving trash in the lobby because there was literally NO trash bins outside the entrance, or inside the lobby area. There was one in the entire hotel room; and it was divided into trash and recycling- but it was like a gallon total. Super frustrating.

No eye deer why a hotel would use barn door for the bathroom.. there was a finger wide gap between the door and the wall.. speaking of the wall.. there was a shotty patch job on the wall.. not even close to a color match.. no central A/C; despite having a wall thermostat.. just an 80s windows unit 😢

Once you walked into the hotel, everything was fine, but it would’ve been nice to know that there’s major construction with roads blocked and for people that are from out of town and not familiar with that area. It was very frustrating trying to find the back roads to get to the hotel. Also surprise! $20 to park my car in a parking lot that’s never full at a hotel that should be part of the Price of staying at the hotel. But on the upside, it was convenient and within walking distance of a few overpriced restaurants that look like they seem better days.

Sarah at the front desk was excellent, her professionlism and smile added to our day. She also gave us a list of restaurants in the city and that was very helpful. The property was clean and the breakfast was tasty. The attendant for the breakfast area was polite, helpful and kept the area clean and the food hot.

Our stay was nice. I originally asked for double bed. Was upgraded to a king and a pullout. I really didn't consider it an upgrade because I had no use for a king size bed.

The property was great, although there’s a lot of construction and it was very hard to find how to get to it from my maps because they had the road blocked off. I had to just figure it out myself which it took a bit of time and was kind of frustrating upon arrival because I wasn’t used to the area. It would’ve been nice to have an email stating that you need to go down past the Publix And come back around. Overall, the stay was great, and the staff was very helpful.

Great location close to FSU, FAMU, and restaurants and shopping. Very clean and the staff was very nice.

Over all the property was newer, clean, comfortable and great staff. Check in/out was easy and accommodating. Shower had great pressure and clean. Beds were comfortable and the room AC was easy to adjust to comfort. The. Temporary downside is the amount of construction around the building. It shut down the main entrance and is noisy during the week. But this will pass once complete and is not the property’s doing.

At first glance everything in the room seemed fine, and it really wasn’t terrible but I did notice a lot of small things that seemed to go unnoticed by the cleaning crew. Upon entering I immediately noticed what appeared to be coffee stains splattered on the wall by the door and coffee area. When entering the bathroom I could see half dried lotion stuck to the wall where it looks like someone sprayed the bottle too hard and didn’t clean it off. Again, not anything that made me think the room was unclean, but just looked as though a deep clean could be needed.

First time I've been charged a separate fee for parking when they are A drive up motor hotel. Just RIdiculous. At the very least let customers know at time of check in. They just billed my credit card separately days later. I had to call to ask what was the additional charge for.

I am so upset with my recent stay here. This is not the first time I have stayed at this hotel, but this time I specifically asked to be put in a quieter area due to arriving very late at night. Instead I was out in a room with construction outside. The noises started at 7 am and the whole room was shaking like there was an earthquake. That continued the entire day. When I asked to switch rooms, I was assured that there would be no construction on Saturday morning. Guess what? 7 am Saturday morning SAME THING! In addition to that the room next to us hosted a WWE event, they were slamming into the wall which backed up to our headboards so violently that it shook our headboard and woke us up at 1130 pm. Not to mentioned they were slamming doors and yelling. Overall, it was a complete nightmare! We drove 8 hours up to pick up our kid from FSU after everything happened, and had to drive home again after packing up, and lacking any decent sleep had to drive 8 hours home. What a shame for you to treat your customers in this way!

Lots of construction going on around the hotel. The main entrance to the hotel is closed. Very noisy construction early in the morning. Whatever machine they were running across the street had the windows vibrating. Not the hotels fault. The staff was wonderful.

Our Room was quiet and a view of the parking lot. The Bed was absolutely horrible. So uncomfortable and the pillows had nothing to them, like just laying on a pillow case. The Toilet is way too low to the ground. And the floors are filthy. We had to wash our feet continuously, especially before bed. And after showering, put our shoes on. Breakfast was good. Wish they had honey for my soupy oatmeal. The overall hotel experience is good. Oh wait, Almost forgot! $20 for parking right outside the door! It's not even valet! And to get to the hotel parking lot, based on directions to get there, was ridiculous! Apparently there has been Construction for over a year now (the desk attendant said) and there were no clear signs on how to get there and around construction. We were not given a heads up that there would be a problem getting in. So driving in circles for 10 minutes we finally figured it out, through the Publix parking lot. We will not return to this specific hotel if we are ever in the area again.

Just a perfect, clean and alluring spot in the midst of the Tallahassee action. Publix, Oyster Bar, and other restaurants all within walking distance. FSU & FAMU both within a mile.

The place is clean and rather new. Enjoyed my stay there.

Arrived at hotel was not asked if I was Gold member or if I would like to join. I stayed at a Marriott last year and I joined Gold member club. Also, parking was 20 dollars. It was open parking no security no gate. Hotels.com didnot mentioned this extra fee onset.

We arrived on Christmas Eve. The staff was friendly. Hotel was empty, clean, and continental breakfast on Christmas morning was good. Definitely would stay here again.

Clean and safe

I wish parking was not a daily fee. We booked room with two queens and I checked in after check in time but all rooms were not ready. I was givens a room with king a pull out. We made due but person on pull out did not have best night’s sleep. We made it work so we could get in a room and go about our planned activities.

Hotel was quiet, clean and a good location near fsu campus. Complimentary breakfast was good with eggs, sausage, potatoes, yogurt, fruit, etc. Would recommend.

Morning of checkout housekeeping opened our door without knocking which was shocking. She apologized but they could probably use a refresher on training to knock before entering.

The breakfast area was continually clean and stocked, and all the employees were courteous and pleasant. We would definitely recommend staying here again.

My stay was nice. I was surprised when I had to pay for parking. I have stayed in other hotels in Tallahassee and I never had to pay for parking. It was an additional $50.00 that I had to pay at check in.

Nice, clean, and comfortable hotel! It was an overnight stay! Although there is construction going on in the area, it was easy getting in and out! I’ll definitely stay again!

When we arrived, the elevator was broken and we were booked on the fourth floor. We are 73 years old and using the stairs was difficult. We had been driving for eight hours and we’re too tired to look for another property to stay in. Everything eventually worked out, but it wasn’t the most pleasant start to a late evening.

We really enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend.

Definitely be moving my preferred membership to another chain due to this unfortunate event. Customer service means everything to me.

The room was fine, but could do without the barn door for a bathroom door. Breakfast was tremendously bad - gross watery powdered eggs, muffins smelled like chemicals and fakeness, coffee was water dressed in brown.

Everything was great- we loved our stay there. Very clean, great beds. The area nearby is under construction at the moment, We would definitely stay there again .

It's the small details that can make a difference. In the rooms lacked basic items like real drinking glasses and bottle openers. Other than that, the staff was wonderful, room was clean. Because of construction in the area, area was a bit hectic. Rated it a four star.

This hotel is conveniently located near FSU campus with a lot of dining options walkable or a short drive or Uber away. I’ve stayed several times and staff is always pleasant and helpful. Breakfast buffet is well stocked and tasty.
