If I could have canceled and stayed somewhere else and gotten a refund… would’ve done that. I slept with one eye open and counting down for daylight to get on the road. I wouldn’t recommend. I don’t understand the 8-10 star reviews. I mean are there worse places? Sure. But man, 10/10 regrets. We didn’t shower. We slept and left.

For the most part rooms were cleaned as far as bed , shower, sink area. Only problem was the floors weren't too clean they felt slimmy and hair and shoe prints .

To start with I was disappointed with the look of my room for what I paid, definitely not worth the cost. I must say receptionist was very polite and welcoming. Room was very clean. Can’t comment on breakfast as I did try it.

Hotel charged my card a fee to hold my reservation despite advertising an option to pay upon arrival-which I chose. The price was way overpriced for a stay in a halfly decently renovated motel style facility. The rooms are old, furniture is old and room smelled musty.

Nothing. Th room was dirty. Stains on the loveseat, toilet ran all night, air conditioner sounded like a jet engine. Bed had me itching all night.

The location is excellent. Tucked back and very quiet and peaceful. No road traffic noise and this was a lovely surprise. We had a king room, which is actually quite spacious and the water was very hot and great pressure. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. Our room still had old carpet in it. When we walked in the stench of mildew was overpowering. This is why I gave it. The remarks I did for cleanliness. I believe if the old carpet were removed, the nasty mildew smell would go away with it. This was my biggest complaint. We went for graduation weekend for our daughter so we also spent $350 a night in this place and it wasn’t worth a third of that especially with the overpowering mildew smell.

I spent a week at this hotel and the Breakfast was horrible! Air conditioner needs an upgrade. Housekeeping was decent. Coffee maker needs an up grade. Late night were junkies walking around parking lot.

good breakfast bar. Was traveling with small dog - small area to walk dog ok -but was full of dog poop - people are so lazy not to pick up after their pets! great location to a nice dog park in downton tallahassee

I love this property !!! It is in a wooded enclave of Tallahassee. Well-maintained and a quiet, green space in the middle of town. Excellent breakfast offering and pleasant staff. Also, one of the few hotels that still have smoking rooms.

The front desk attendant at check-in was nice. There was a strong humid smell in the room, the water temp during showers was inconsistent, the sheet was stained, the pillows were very very flat, the rooms were outdated, the overall maintenance is poor, and the breakfast was sad. They didn't make enough for all the guest

Well...I wouldn't book this again, the overall "population" that was staying there was comprised of very diverse people. The smell of weed is prevalent and we live it the Netherlands and it was a bit much even for us. It felt unsafe due to the reasons mentioned above. Price was better than other places but definitely didn’t offset the fact that the room wasn’t clean. We didn’t eat the breakfast. Late arrival or we would have looked for another place to stay. I did let the staff know when we checked out. Room was not clean!! Toothbrush holder from previous occupant was on sink and neither the counter or sink itself were clean. Toilet didn’t look like it had been cleaned either. They had sprayed deodorizing spray to make it smell “clean”.

I did not like how close to parking was I didn't like some of the staff. I overslept because I got in really late and within 10 minutes if somebody knock on my door they were threatening to call the police to have me kicked out.

The rooms are nice. We go to go swimming when we got there and before we left the pool are is a little small but its nice.

This hotel should be delisted immediately. There is crime activity in teis place at night and we had to contact the police while there. There was a car that wasz bullet ridden in the parking lot and many rappers-wannabes at night crawling out of the rooms to deal you can imagine what. Extremely unsafe, the A/C did not work, the room smelled like mold and extremely obnoxiuos cleaning products and smoke. The hot water is not a thing here and the eggs at breakfast were rotten smelling. The front office was left unattanded at 6 am and this creepy guy came out of nowhere and qualified himself and the breakfast attendant then disappeared in a broken down car with a bottle of vodka on the dashboard. This place is a crime hub.

When we got back later that night, it seemed the room had just been wiped down and not actually cleaned. The location to the capital etc. is great. Parking is included. Breakfast is good. The television only had a few working channels. Some would come and go. Others were lagging and pixelating as if trying to stream. Very disappointing as it was during the Olympics and important news cycles etc.

Our first room had an interesting must smell. Then, when we showered, the water backed up to our ankles. It was unappealing to say the least. I was moving my kids so we arrived at the property at aroubd midnight, there was a man sitting outside his room smoking and drinking and talking loud. I was w my mother and sister and it was pretty scary. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Such a great place... super clean inside and outside the room. The bed is king size comes with five pillows which comfortable. Also has desk with chair and couch as well. The room has microwave and refrigerator with super cold freezer. When i checked in gentleman told me if i have any questions or concerns call the front desk. Hot breakfast from 6am to 9am. I plan to check breakfast in the room. I feel safe here and minutes away from restaurants and the mall. I will differently be back. Off the road so it quite location and easy to find with google gps.

The non-smoking room wreaked of smoke smell. It was unbearable and we had to leave the door open and have maintenance come spray something to help. The floors were filthy, our socks were black walking around the room. The breakfast was horrible, the sausage was nearly raw .. just a terrible experience. The staff was wonferful though to try and remedy the situation.

There was a public hair on my toilet and random hairs on the pullout couch my son had to sleep on. I cannot believe this place can charge over $200. When I called to asked for bedding the lady was rude and didn’t bring a blanket as requested.

I was told after the fact that they checked me in that even though I paid for a suite they were putting me in a regular room. Mind you the suite is more expensive than a regular room. Plus the regular rooms stink . They say I “supposedly” smoked in the last suite I was in so I would be charged $100 if I wanted the suite but they could’ve told me that before checking me in and they didn’t . I proceeded to ask for a refund because the prices are too different and I didn’t see how it was fair that they knew this and didn’t inform me of this before my check in . The lady with the messy dreads and green blue tips and missing front teeth the rudest of them all and her customer service was terrible. When I asked her for her name she gave me a fake name “Leila” she know she lying . She taunted me about not getting my money back and laughed thinking it was funny . They could never get my money again . She locked the front door to the office before I could even go back in to see what was going on with the room and my money .

As described, seems like they don't have adjoining rooms as we booked early and got there at noon, also requested first floor since my mother can not climb stairs very easily, we got the second floor. The only lady at the front desk was too busy to bother with changing.

Question If they were drinking, Front desk took care of the matter when we requested, but it went on for hours. Room is cheap, Questionably clean? People coming and going all hours of the night outside. no lightbulb in lamp next to bed. fan and bathroom sounds like a jet taking off. were fearful that our car would be damaged by the men in the back of the pick up truck having a party.

We arrived at 1:00 am and found there was no toilet paper and my husband and I are both handicapped and it is a hardship to make the trip back to the office to get the supplies and he was alone in the office and could not bring it to us. The bathroom sink was plugged. It eventually drained but that was gross. The frig was barely cold. I wouldn't even call it cold. It was slightly cool. The scented spray covering up whatever smells they were trying to cover up was so strong I could taste it. I would not stay here again and wouldn't have stayed here in the first place except for the hurricane coming and it was the only place in town with an available room.

We didn’t even stay. Walked up to the room the ac was broken. They couldn’t fix it we asked for another room they didn’t have any so we went to another hotel. We are still trying to get our refund and every time we call we are told they will call us back that the manager is not in. We will be calling the corporate office

Expedia advertised 2 queen beds. We always look for Queen beds. This hotel only has small double beds so our large family was very uncomfortable. False advertising by Expedia.. or was it Best Western’s mistake?

Rooms need updating. Ours (#240) had a strong musty smell. Staff was super friendly. Included breakfast was ok.

This is a “no frills” hotel. However, it may be the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in. The staff is friendly and polite. Breakfast is served until 9 AM, and there were plenty of options. We will stay again.

This is one of the best facilities I’ve stayed in. The other would be BW on North Monroe. The staff that I encountered was so nice. This is definitely my getaway spot.

Horrible hotel, do not risk it! I booked a 2 queen room for 1 night. When I arrived, it was filthy beyond my tolerance and had an overwhelming smell of wet dog and deodorizer. Front desk told me they had no more 2 queen rooms available and the hotel manager Hema refused a refund. Best Western shouldn’t allow this hotel to use their name!

Called several times for our toilet to be fixed, no one ever came! Thank goodness we were close to the office and were only there one night! We used the public restroom when we needed it.

Management is very friendly and caring of their guests. They served you with a smile in their faces. The place needs some updates but it is a decent place to stay. It has a centric location. Walmart, and restaurants are close distant in car.

I checked into this property for a two night stay, walked into the room and immediately spelt mold. All the furniture was pulled away from the walls, clearly because they have an issue with moisture. I went to the front desk and told them I would not be staying here. They told me they would speak to management for a refund. I’ve been fighting with Expedia and management for a week. The manager will only agree to refund one of the two nights. This is terrible customer service. You expect a person to stay in an unsafe, moldy and unsanitary conditions and potentially getting sick? This will not end here, you will not get a dollar of my money and I will NEVER stay at a Best western again due to the terrible customer service from management. Expedia won’t even make it right by refunding me the remaining amount. I had to stay in another hotel and will not pay for two hotels.

I was extremely displeased with room. None of the small lights around the room worked, the tv would not cut on, and the refrigerator didn’t work causing me to lose over $100 worth of leftovers. Would highly recommend not staying here

The only real positive review I can give is about the food. It was excellent. I had to ask for clen towels every day, the cleaning crews wasn't up to par when It came to cleaning the room and replacing the bedding. Poor service.

Our visit coincided with graduation from FSU, normal price is $125-$135 but with graduation, prices jacked up to $400. I do not believe this can be done and plan on contacting the Governor’s office in Tallahassee, FL.

Chose this property based on recommendations for the breakfast and was happy. Breakfast did have lots of options. It only went from 6:00 to 9:00 would have preferred a little later but it was good. The property is a bit dated but has been remodeled and everything was nice. Especially like the hardwood in the rooms on the floors. Would stay again.

Nice fridge built in and nice TV with an OK package of channels (No premium like HBO, Showtime etc) Bed was a little lumpy but OK once asleep. I stayed 3 nights and when I got back to the room after day 2, there was a clean towel hanging on the exterior door knob (in a plastic bag. Easy off entering into the city, going east wasm't too bad, especially early in the morning. B,J,'s across the street has great burgers and a good selection of beers on tap.

The establishment is dated but not a deal breaker te price. There is an overpowering scent as you walk in the lobby and room. (Sure is a spray). The breakfast is generous. Staff is courteous. A good fit for an overnighter.

BEDBUGS ! When we tried to go back to the office to see if we could get another room the clerk would not unlock the door to let us in. Will never recommend Best Western to anyone!

Rooms very clean, staff very nice, Continental breakfast was amazing, I felt like I should've paid for it. Definitely returning when I come back to Tallahassee. The only thing I was caught off guard about was the $150 hold. Other than that, amazing stay.

Nasty boogers and dirt marks on the wall. Staff couldn’t give towel for second day until night time. Morning breakfast was okay. My wife tried to take a bath and neighbor downstairs came to our room because water was coming in from their ceiling. Slim picking for hotels in Tallahassee when FSU is playing but I expected better for over $700 for two nights.

Very dirty cannot understand how they can stay in business!! Place smelt terrible, shower never drained stains a mold on everything very discussing I would felt better sleeping in my car!!

Do not recommend staying here; run down place, can hear lots of noises in rooms; rooms are not nice. Not in a great location. Pictures make it look so much nicer than it actually is!

An okay place to stay. Was not in great shape and not super clean. Way overpriced, like all the hotels in the area for game day weekends. It was almost $400 a night where it should have been $100 a night room.

The window AC constantly makes terrible noises. Toilet tank is leaky and makes noises every few minutes.

New York City in the summer on trash day smelled better. Total dump. I should have slept in my car.

Spent 2 nights to move my daughter into her college dorm. The property location is very convenient right next to Governor’s Square Mall but it needs some updating. The room including the bathroom had a musty odor when we walked in but it was not overwhelming and we were too tired after over 7 hours on the road to be bothered to move. The carpet needs cleaning which could be a contributing factor to the smell, the sink was very slow draining, the bathroom light stopped working at some point after we went to bed the second night so we had to leave the door open in the morning to have light to use the toilet and take a shower. We were leaving at that point so I just reported it when we checked out. A full breakfast was included (eggs, sausages, biscuits, gravy, waffles etc) although I did see a bug the second morning which I also reported. The lady at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful during both check in and out and made note of all the issues to have them addressed.

The couch and carpet were very dirty. I don't think the room was vacuumed as there was hair all over the carpet. I will not stay here again. I will say that the staff members were very friendly and tried to be helpful.

Employees were fabulous, unfortunately property smells musty and like cigarettes, even though rooms are non smoking, I had a cigarette hole burn in my blanket, not enough towels for 2, only 2 towels were in the room to start with.
