My wife and I were traveling to Disney from Mississippi. We decided to stop in Tallahassee to get some rest before driving down to Orlando. We arrived at the best western after hours around 12:30 am. When I went inside to check in they could not find my reservation. The reason they couldn’t find my reservation was due to them already checking someone into my reservation. They wanted me to pay for another room since the room I already paid for was taken. I said that’s not fair for me at all, and waited until they could figure it out. It took about an hour and a half before they could make things right and check us in. After driving almost 7 hours, and to be greeted this way was terrible.

Our whole experience was stellar. We came to explore Talahassee for my Birthday weekend. We've had some sketchy hotel expeiences before, but the front desk was very presonable and helpful with local attractions. After check in, on the 3rd floor, the clerk even suggested where we could park our car, so we could see it from our room upstairs. nice touch. We dont stay in hotels very often, and usually book on one of the big discount 3rd party websites looking for the best deal, but we will be traveling more soon after retirement and were so impressed with this stay, we've joined the Best Western Rewards club now! Location was surprisingly quite, especially next to the interstate, we didnt hear a thing...except for some EMS passing by in the missle of the night. Ample FREE parking, The bed was comfy, room was clean and spacious and the TV and WiFi worked! The breakfast buffet was a pleasant surpise with perfectly cooked bacon that my wife and I probably had a little too much of! (smile) Having a WalMart right across the street was handy. We are excited to visit other properties in other cities. The ONLY negative that I could think of was there were no USB charging ports in the room. no worries, we had plug adapters, but i did notice that. Likely just the age of the hotel, I would assume that will probably be an uopgrade when any remodeling is done.

As soon as you walk into the lobby there is a sense of modern sophistication. The front desk was warm, welcoming and friendly! The room itself was well stocked with amenities and the beds were comfortable. Wish we could have stayed longer! Would definitely go back!

I booked the room months before graduation for $200 plus a night. Closed to graduation it went to over $600 per night and I did not print up the original quote and Expedia’s site only had the new expensive quote. Expensive lesson about printing your quote the same day. Other than the toilet running all night. The room was decent. Good breakfast buffet. Friendly staff. They came in the room but only pulled the trash. Beds weren’t made.

my crutches and my husband had to make 2 trips to the car and carry our luggage up 3 flights. Mind you we are not young in our late 70's! Also, the room was freezing because we had no heat in our room and it was 60 degrees outside! TV didn't work and my husband had to hook up the wires to get it to work. That said, the hotel was clean and the staff was very nice. PS: They had the elevator company working on the problem the day we moved out.

He took the time to make sure we knew about the complimentary breakfast and provided us with bottled water to take with us., It was a pleasant experience and was very nice after 12 hours driving. Property was very quiet and conveniently located and was easy to find parking. Highly recomend staying here if your in the area.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive. Front desk staff aided me in obtaining an early check in at the last minute. Very clean. Adequate parking. The only complaint I have is the elevator went out twice during my stay and had to use the stairs.

Eggs/sausage were adequate. Gravy /bisquits would have been better than greasy potatoes. I’ve stayed at many Best Westerns in towns this size with better quality. I rarely have a complaint about a breakfast at a BW.

Staff was gracious and helpful. Location was a little ways away from the city center but once I figured out the ins and outs of the road it became comfortable to drive there. There wasn't much close by for restaurants but a short drive took me to several familiar ones. The room was very nice, clean, quiet, safe.

We stayed here this weekend while visiting friends. It's a nice, clean place. Ellen, who prepared the breakfast, was amazing. She kept everything hot and full, even when it was busy, and even found the calories for the cheese omelet for me because I'm on a diet. Ellen was extremely kind and truly deserves a raise! The only gripes were that the bed was very hard and that the treadmill incline in the fitness center did not work.

The room was very clean and the mattress was comfortable. The property is conveniently located to the interstate and everything we wanted to do in Tallahassee. The breakfast was good—well stocked and lots of choice, but not top quality. It was perfectly adequate for our needs though, and we appreciated that there was a free breakfast with hot options. Only one real complaint: I didn’t like the bed pillows. They were small and square-shaped, which I found peculiar. I’d prefer a larger, firmer pillow. That said, I would definitely stay here again. It was excellent value for the money, the staff were nice, and it was very clean. Thanks for a great stay!

My son and I enjoyed our stay while visiting FSU. We only wish Best Western would stop serving breakfast on styrofoam plates and replaced travel size shampoos and soaps with more environmentally friendly alternatives.

There was a mix up with my room and the overnight staff was gracious and kind with helping me. I could have easily been stranded sleeping in my car on a very chilly night. But the madam working late was so wonderful and kept me from having a full blown panic attack.

Our room was nice, it had a musty smell and if the ac wasn’t running (at like 69 degrees) it would get stuffy and smell. They put us in the last room on the first floor, which we thought was nice for exiting etc.It was so noisy. There were doors slamming constantly and it was LOUD. For the record, we currently live in a hotel back home due to a house fire and we never hear anything…so I would never recommend the first floor, room 137. Otherwise, nice and safe location. Breakfast was okay, but the coffee was always hot and the water was always available!

However there was a slight mix-up with our room class but it was late when we arrived and just took that room for the night and the staff corrected the issue the following morning. The A/C was a little wonky but it worked well. The rooms were clean. The bed was, for the most part, comfortable but didn't care for the 18"x18" bed pillows. The breakfast let a lot to be desired. Powdered eggs with what appeared to be cheese inside. I guess it's their version of an omelet. The did have biscuits and sausage gravy one morning which wasn't terrible and they did have cereal, muffins, and bagels and a couple of fruit choices. It was free. That's about all you can say about that. After all, there is a Krispy Kreame less than a mile away. I guess with the hotel price you can't expect Trump Towers.

Check in was great. Corey at the front desk is great and made sure to follow up once in our room . Room dated but very clean. I was visiting my daughter. I will stay here again when I go back to see her again. Coffe in the lobby was soo good. My only negative was breakfast from 6am-9am. If they extend to 10am maybe i would make it. Maybe next time.

Staff was friendly and courteous. The evening clerk who checked me in asked if I needed additional assistance (I did not) and gave me a bottle of water which was appreciated. My favorite staff member was the “breakfast lady”. I’m awful on names, but she was a genuine delight who didn’t mind helping out and asking if I needed anything else. Such a kind individual, Breakfast was plentiful and hot items were hot. They provided scrambled or boiled eggs, sausage, fresh fruit, an oatmeal bar, cereals, pastries and breads, along with yogurt and milk. There was also a juice bar with four varieties to choose from. I stayed one night but this is my new halfway overnight point when traveling between Alabama and central Florida.

This was an excellent motel. We didn't explore Tallahassee much as it was New Year Eve.I heard there were firework celebrations but I couldn't find them and the staff said they didn't know of any. We ended up sleeping in the New Year which was 'healthier than getting lost among holiday revelers . The motel is beautiful, clean and staff was super friendly. I would recommend this motel.

I’ve stayed here many times and find it to always be clean and comfortable. The night we stayed got pretty cold and I never could figure out how to get the heat to kick on. They only give you a thinner blanket more suited for summer. I’m sure I could’ve asked the front desk about the heat and for an extra blanket, but it was late and I was in my pj’s, so I just made do. So think ahead and be prepared for colder weather. I also had trouble sleeping due to being on the side of the hotel facing the street, and in the future I’ll make sure to request the opposite side which we’ve always found to be quiet. Cleanliness, service, and the breakfast were all great though.

The front desk should never have assigned those rooms to guests who were so disruptive. It completely ruined our night and our experience at the hotel.

We found it very hard to sleep, even though the beds were very comfortable. But the traffic noise was so loud that we couldn't sleep. Also, we had to leave one day early and asked for a refund but that did not happen. We were told it would have to be through Expedia.

And later in the evening, when that deodorizer smell wore off, the room smelled very fusty. Like a combination of unwashed clothing with a hint of cigarette smoke. Not pleasant.

Maintance was quick to switch us alternate room, when the AC did not work in original room.

Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel was quiet making it easy to sleep. Only real complaint is the towels were very rough and small and the pillows on a king size bed were miniature.

Well run, friendly staff

Don't do it. Very little hot water in the evening or morning. Mentioned it to the staff when checking out. He asked if we had called to report. I asked if that would have made a difference? No response. Also somebody came through and knocked on our door and every other door around us repeatedly at 3 am. Beware!

Room was clean and generally speaking compared to other motel/hotels? It was superior. The staff are what makes this place so good. The cleaning staff obviously make their jobs a priority. Polite, attentive and will always help you. No sad or angry faces always nice to us and our son. Cannot say enough nice things about them. One item I would recommend they have on property? Roll away beds. Also price gouging is illegal and I have to report this to the authorities. To increase room prices by over $300 because of a football game is not legal and needs to be stopped. Make it pet friendly as well.

This was a good budget stay for the football game at FSU. It's very close to the school and has a few dining options around.

My check in process went great. The front desk staff were polite and helpful. The breakfast was good and the attendant during breakfast hours was very nice and attentive. The rooms were clean and did not smell moldy. Overall, I had a very nice stay and will choose this location again the next time I travel.

Very professional staff

We were very happy with our stay for Family Weekend at FSU. It was convenient to school and the hotel has clearly been remodeled and exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was a nice bonus and the staff were all friendly.

We were in town to visit a relative who was seriously ill. The staff was very friendly and supportive. That meant a lot.

Stayed here for FSU Family weekend and although we paid an arm and a leg (all hotels in the area charge surge pricing which is ridiculous) we enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and spacious enough for 3 and the staff were nice. They had a reception for the parents on Friday to welcome us including delicious hot sandwiches and cheese, crackers and fruit, which was an unexpected treat!

Front desk service was excellent and the breakfast was pretty good. I think they need to expand their breakfast options.

Right off of I-10 in Tallahassee, very convenient access. The only bummer is the median prevents you from turning left out of the hotel, you have to go right and make a u-turn to go back to Walmart and other vloser restaurants. Room A/C was booming, the bed was a little firm but big king. Room was a King Jr suite so very roomy. CLEAN,CLEAN,CLEAN...room, hotel, everywhere. Nice outdoor pool and patio furniture. I stay here when I pass thru.

It was a very enjoyable trip and the hotel was clean and the service personnel was exemplary. The beds however to me were to hard. I did not sleep well because I could not get comfortable. My husband did not have an issue though so it could have been just me.

Easy parking and proximity to highway. Hotel is clean, breakfast was good. The only complaint was noisy window air conditioner. The bed was very comfortable !

Much cleaner than other hotels in the area, however many things are falling apart / not well kept eg) lamp shade was falling apart. For ~100 a night you get what you pay for and it’s definitely adequate for the price. Staff was kind and helpful.

The A/C is not working properly. The towels were not soft. And very noisy neighbors at night. Bed base protector has a hole.

My go to place whenever I go to Tallahassee!!! The staff is very welcoming

It took almost an hour to get in our room. The electronic locks were. Not working. Finally had to switch to a new room. No discount or upgrade. A little disappointing.

Everything was clean and nice looking. The staff was very nice and friendly. Only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because our room was kind of muggy and we had to turn the ac down pretty low (65) which is freezing to us, to keep the mugginess gone.

Hotel was clean, room was spacious, bed was comfortable, and area was quiet. Breakfast area was clean and well-stocked. Food was delicious and the fresh yogurt machine was a treat. Variety of various restaurant in the area.

No coffee in room on day 2&3

What a pleasant surprise! Friendly staff, clean, quiet, excellent breakfast. All you could ask for. My biggest regret is not having the chance ro use the pool or gym, but enjoyed the bed very much.

This stay was nothing short of amazing. The biggest contribution to my trip was the staff. Literally everyone I encountered from check in, to the cleaning staff, to the maintenance workers in the hall, everyone on the team gave exceptional customer service. That means so much to me, because I don’t see that at all on my frequent travels. The beds are very comfortable, the hot breakfast tastes great and versatile each day, and overall my stay was a 10/10. I will return anytime.

We stayed here last week. I had been traveling with my two sons one being nonverbal all day by the time we got into bed it was sooo late to complain the sheets had blood droplets. I just layed on top of the sheets. We would like at least half of the money we paid to stay here. Thank you. I have pictures.

We got a flat tire on the interstate about 60 hours out from the hotel and drove in on a small spare. I made an appointment to have the tire replaced, but the earliest appointment was for 10:00 a.m. I asked for a late checkout because we would need to move all our luggage etc to the back seats to access the tire and I would need to leave my 18 and 14 year old children. I was told I would need to pay $25 extra to check out even 30-60 minutes late. I think this is absolutely ridiculous, and we will not be staying here, or at any other Best Western, again.
