This was a great place to stay. Great area, convenient location, nice facility. We will stay here again.

Everything else was great.

The hotel room was nice. Beds were very comfortable. I love how we had 2 double beds and a sofa bed so my 2 kids had there own beds instead of sharing. We loved the breakfast that was provided each morning. My son really loved the waffles. When we return, we would stay there again. Only thing I would suggest is either new mattresses or ways clean stains off the side of the mattress. That was a little unsettling to look at.

The room was not clean, as we found a syringe under the couch where my kids were sleeping.

The rooms were very nice. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was delicious and we weren't able to use the pool because we were pressed for time

It was a little cramped (small beds), sleeper couch was not good but the stafff does a good job keeping the facility and pool clean and maintained. Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast but the attendant serving the hotel items was super friendly and very helpful.

Older hotel but looks well maintained and renovated. Breakfast is very good. My family and I would stay there again

Our room felt like a little apartment, we were pleasantly surprised. Great breakfast by room and stay for the amount we paid. The towels were a little rough. The layout of the room was a little tight, restricting movement from the bedroom to the bathroom. There was another bathroom entrance in the front part of the room.

We had never hear of Windmill Suites and what an incredible surprise, in the town of Surprise! :) The pool was huge and beautiful. Loved the hot tub!! Breakfast was great! Everything so modern and clean. The room was huge. The staff so friendly!!! EXCELLENT!!!

The pool was cleaned twice daily. Lots of debris from trees blew into the pool. The landscaping is very pretty, but needs to be cut back some. Overall it was a great stay. Cookies and spokes at the front desk in the evening, but you usually needed to ask. Kept others from digging around in the cookies. Also coffee and fresh ice water in lobby. Just a lovely stay.

The breakfast in the morning was good. Except this morning, I ate a hard boiled egg that nearly made me throw up. When we pulled in there was a woman that seemed to be living in her car taking pictures of us unpacking our car, which made it very unnerving. We reported it to the front desk and they said that they would deal with it and let us know. But nobody ever did, and that person was there all night. Also, the first night I went to walk my dogs and there was a giant rat trapped between the exterior doors and the key card door to get into wing, C. It was jumping around trying to get out of the doors and I had to let the rat out so that I could get out. After having no response from the front desk over the person taking pictures of us unloading, I decided not to even mention the rat or any of the other issues. Also, there were mountains of dog poop around the dog area. The housekeeping service was good.However, we had put up the do not disturb sign on our door requesting that we did not want housekeeping service, and they came in and cleaned up anyway.

We had a late arrival and the front desk lady was so nasty for no reason . It was literally 1am and she had an attitude and all I was Trying to do was check my kids and I into the hotel. The room had issues the phone and toilet didn’t work and bugs were crawling on my curtains couldn’t reach anyone because the phone didn’t work so I had To wait until the morning to use the restroom once we got a new room because our toilet we was broken. The manager acted like she didn’t believe me when I was telling her the issues with the room and asked to be relocated to another room. The breakfast is hot and good. The pool was disgusting so my kids couldn’t go swimming. The other staff was nice I did get another room with everything working properly. That’s was just inconvenient traveling with kids. The room is nice though.

This was the 4th time booking this hotel and as usual, all my expectations were met. Room was clean and staff was amazing. I look forward to my next stay.

Everything was excellent. Our room was roomy, clean, the bed comfortable, the shower was wonderful. The staff, from the front desk, food servers, housekeepers were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was full service and delicious. The hot tub was very nice and sitting out by the pool. I would have given Windmill a 5 except the pool needed to be cleaned so we did not swim in it. It was very disappointing. I let the front desk know that it had algae and needed cleaning. They started taking care of it but it took 6 days before they drained it. I hope that future customers are able to have a wonderful time by the pool. I will definitely stay there again and really did enjoy my stay.

My stay was 9/10. The location is convenient cos of proximity to a bunch of stores and restaurants. The website photos look great but in reality all of the room furniture was old and felt very worn. I sat on the couch and the cushion sunk in. However the bed was great!

The Pool was out of service the week we were there. The breakfast was good and the location was good.

I was not able to stay there. I left when I drove around the property. I drove back to Tucson instead. It did not look safe in the back or in the area. I left.

Property was good. Nice outdoor breakfast area, breakfast was simple, nice small pool area in courtyard. Just outside Sun city West. Very convenient. Hallways could be updated. Suite was nice. Very comfortable with sofa, desk, kitchenette. Internet was variable. Staff was unremarkable. Maid was sweet.

Room was incredibly spacious with ample comfortable furniture. Would be a good place to stay with family with Jack/Jill bathroom with 2 sinks and doors to separate. Outside the room the hotel looks tired. Hallway carpets aged. Hot breakfast options were nice. After 9 cold breakfast options were sparse and pastries were not fresh.

We had a very clean room, but there was a plumbing problem. They did come and fix it right away. We asked for extra towels and they forgot them and didn’t bring them and the front Desk could use a little bit of help in the customer service area.

Was there overnight to get sleep before more driving the next morning. Room was great. Clean. Double beds were comfortable. Shower water pressure was not very strong. Sofa bed mattress was not thick at all. Could feel the springs. Overall the room was fine.

Nice stay in SunCity West. Friendly staff and the room had a cool layout with a little kitchenette. Beds were small but I probably didn't read if they were doubles vs queen

Also, the pool had murky water adding to mine and my son's disappointment. We didn't feel comfortable getting into the pool nor the hot tub. The rooms are clean, but the hallways and common areas are so-so. If you have more than two people in your party be ready to ask for additional towels. We were surprised at the sparse amount of towels available in our room. We unfortunately weren't able to enjoy breakfast because we left before 7am. So i can't speak to the quality of their food. I'm not sure I would stay here again. This isn't a terrible hotel, I just think I can get far better accommodations for a few bucks more somewhere else.

This is a convenient and nice place to stay when coming to the Surprise area. I visit my mother off and on and always stay there because it's spacious, convenient and reasonably priced. The staff is always nice. I have to add an anecdote here. The only elevator broke when I was visiting this time. It was fixed almost immediately. That's what I call maintaining a property. Can't recommend this place enough, especially if you're visiting someone in Peoria or Sun City. It costs a fortune to stay within their city limits.

We had to switch rooms. Toilet had no chain to make it flush, and no maintenence on site on Sunday. Never any towels at the pool. Location was great for spring training.

Liked the full breakfast. It was nice to have someone serving the hot items. Carpet looked gross. Rooms were decent and clean but oddly shaped. Toliet is very tight area. They offer double beds v. queens. Elevator is small and only 1. A/C is loud, could hear everyone above us walking.

Bed comfortable, building old needs some renovating, but amazingly quiet that night! Was glad to see they had security checking on parked cars. Breakfast was okay. Friendly staff.

besides the breakfast, we love this hotel. Everything was great. The only thing I complain about is the breakfast. A lot of the food was microwave. They actually microwaved it in front of us with the eggs and the sausage. The hashbrowns were undercooked so we specifically booked the hotel with breakfast to be accommodating to us, but we didn’t end up eating breakfast after the first day because it was just poor quality breakfast.

Breakfast was great. The suite layout was good for family. Kids really enjoyed the pool and hot tub, although the water was cloudy. We would stay here again.

The entire stay was very enjoyable and we will plan to return. My only negative is that the first impression was pretty concerning when we saw the condition of the hallway carpeting. It was very, very old and worn. The rooms were fine though. The young lady serving breakfast did wonderful job!

The staff was friendly and helpful. Check-in was simple. They took a copy of my photo ID. However, given concerns about identity theft, it would have been better if they had returned the copy or asked whether they could keep it. The property looks a bit outdated, and the hallway carpeting could definitely use a thorough cleaning.

The rooms were very clean and recently updated, the hallways and the back of the hotel ice machine, vending machines need updated. On entering the back door i was very disappointed until I entered my room. My room was exactly what I needed.

It's a convenient, safe, and adequate place to stay for spring training games. The pool is enjoyable, the room was well-appointed and comfortable. The staff are all very welcoming and professional.

After being out all day at Camelback Ranch it was definitely nice to return to the hotel and go down stairs and enjoy the hot tub and pool for the evening. We also enjoyed the breakfast that was set up as early as 7am for the guest. There is enough sitting inside and outside to have your breakfast. The location of this Hotel is around all other essential stores and a Dutch Bros about 2 blocks away!

For the price there should be complimentary water and a snack at check in. There should also be soap provided at both bathroom sinks. The windows are dirty from the outside and need repaired screens.

Very dated decor and doors not closing well. The walls were thin & noise from floor above and hallway. The wifi was poor in the back of the building (where it was quiet) but improved after we changed rooms. The plus was that the suites were spacious & it was clean.

The room was big. Breakfast was good and stayed open until 10am. The sign said the room would be cleaned every 3 nights, but that didn't happen. We just asked for clean towels and toilet paper a couple of times during our stay.

The room had a very bad odor to it asked to be moved but since we have pets there are very limited rooms. Wouldn't stay here again, it was for one night so we managed.

We initially read great reviews on this hotel, and when we arrived it was not quite as we expected. The room had a lot of broken things, locks, hinges, bell cart… screws popping out or just completely missing. It was very small and not accommodating to our large family. Breakfast was not enjoyable.

Pullout bed was broken without us being notified so we had to make last minute changes that we weren't anticipating. Pool is very well kept up and so is the Jacuzzi and the staff is nice. Breakfast is just ok but decent enough for what we paid for our rooms.

The smell in the hallways was very musty, and the carpet/overall look of the hotel is outdated. The rooms were updated and clean so totally fine, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I saved a little money relative to other hotels, and got a little less in the overall experience.

This hotel needs to be updated. The pictures don’t suffice for the actual property. It has an odor to it that smells super old. The linens are super itchy & pillows remind me of couch pillows! Location is great, but for the price I would not stay here again.

Room, was nice and quiet, however the fold out sofa that we were intending on using was broken and instead of bothering with a rollaway bed I had my son sleep in bed with me, the water was hot but the shower head lacked any good pressure, breakfast was nice with a large variety of things to chose from

The suite was very clean and plenty of room for a 3 adults and 2 children. The breakfast was awesome with great smiles with helping hands.

The property looked nice, the rooms were dated. The bed was ok, but gave me a back ache. The windows needed cleaning, the screens were broken. We had to switch rooms because the toilet started to leak. The chair was wobbly for the desk, the USB ports didn't work. The fridge was in dire need of a defrost. Room 221 had the toilet issue, room 245 had all the issues needing fixed.

Went for the Charlie Kirk Memorial Service. The staff was friendly, the room and facility was clean and kept up. The hot tub was great. Highly recommend this hotel

The breakfast could’ve been better, however, it will get you by. Other than that, I thought the hotel was great. I thought the service was great. Front desk staff was friendly and knew what they were doing. The rooms are spacious and very clean. I will stay there again in the future

Check in was great. Room was a nice size. Bathroom did have lots of moisture and some mold on the ceiling, that I did inform the desk about. Evening customer service was not great. We needed more towels so I called down. I tried 3 calls within about 5 mins. No answer. I went down to the desk and the young lady was on her phone. Great place to stay clean, nice room with lots of space. Only down fall was there was a front office staff who didnt look they wanted to work there. Not nice or helpful when checking in. Over all i would stay there again

Room. The pullout couch bed was completely broken, once we lifted the mattress it was black and had old molded food attached. It was so bad my son began to have breathing problems (room caused his asthma to flare very bad!) there were so many drug addicts just handing around the hotel outside. It was just a terrible experience

The room was big enough, staff was nice, breakfast would be nicer if it opened on time and you were able to serve yourself vice waiting for someone to serve you. There was only one lady trying to take care of serving food, cleaning, and restocking in 2 different rooms. Pricey for amenities.

Hotel building is really old. Hallway carpets are so dirty, I was thinking my shoes would get dirty (seriously). Room layout for a one bedroom unit was strange. Overall, below average.

Cleaning staff was not very friendly. They never were welcoming or said hi. Our TV didn't work the whole time we were there. We asked to have someone look at it. It still didn't work. The Internet was in and out throughout the day mostly at night.

The hotel was clean and near restaurants. Room had modern amenities, which is a double-edged sword. It would be nice to have bed pillows that are bigger than throw pillows. Please consider giving guests both sizes in their rooms.

The front desk staff wasn't friendly upkn check in and check out. Our toilet didnt have enough pressure to flush correctly. The bathtub didn’t drain property. Water was backing up inside the tub.

The motel smeels horrible,the carpet smeels like durty rotten socks, for 4 adults I had just 1 shampoo, 1 soup and 1 conditioner. A/C fas blowing into our faces while turns on and the sound of A/C was like loud motor vehicle. One of the beds wasn't even made and I had to go and ask for more sheets...I was given a sheet folded as a ball...I wish that there was an option to get my money back and leave the motel right away after checking in...Horrible Horrible experience.

We stayed here with a family of 6 and had a great experience. There were a bunch of great options for breakfast and our kids were all able to find things they liked. They especially enjoyed the pancake machine. The room was clean and the shower was hot. The front desk was helpful and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.

bed mattress was broken, in room a/c filter was so clogged it was squealing, toilet wouldn't flush everything, bedroom door had a hole in it, and the door lock was broken. we stayed here last week, and the first room was much better. this room was a mess.

The windmill is a great place to stay. Breakfast is excellent and staff are responsive. I was asked how everything was as I checked out. I mentioned that the towels were small and thin and the ac was loud. She immediately made a note. Wished I’d mentioned it earlier. Otherwise this is a great place to stay.

The hotel was comfortable and just as big as a small apartment. I really like the fact that there’s a small living room area too. The fridge is on the smaller side and it does not have a kitchenette but we didn’t really need one for the short time we were going to stay. The breakfast was decent with hot items served daily aside from the grab and go items.

I thought the room was a unique design, like a small one bedroom apartment. My wife liked the fact there were two separate bathroom sinks. It was a clean facility, had a really good breakfast, and the outside common area was very appealing. We plan on booking our stay at the same place next time we're in the area.

Building is old. Hallways were dark and dingy, but room was clean and organized. Suite door was difficult to secure. The elevator needed service as it was a rough ride up and down. Could cause an elderly person to fall. Security needs attention. I surprised a vagrant street person nosing around my vehicle in the hotel parking lot in the early morning. Advised front desk person but unknown whether it was addressed.

Professional and personable staff and the amenities were excellent. Breakfast was outstanding!

We checked in on Saturday night with no issues. Sunday-we had no power, Monday- no water and Tuesday- no hot water. We realize some things are out of the staffs control but we received no information, confirmation or compensation from the establishment. We’re paying guests and basically ignored.

I didn’t like is that they where croach In the kitchen cabinet and bathroom next day and the toilet wasn’t clean well

First Room Heavy smoke residue. They quickly and politely gave us a new room. Second room lighter smoke residue. We stuck with it. Running the air fan all night helped. Comfortable bed, Good air conditioning that blows from a vent Not a loud window type unit. (it was 100' outside @ 11pm, so air conditioning is very important here! ) Fridge was warm, kind of defeats the purpose to have to wait for fridge to get cold enough to save our expensive dinner leftovers Safely. Mold in shower.

Every morning we would come get breakfast the hotel associate was not friendly. Constantly acting as if us being there was inconvenient for her..

The hidden visa fees on the final bill was a surprise The overall facility was good, and the staff tried to make it right with the adjustment to the bill because of the lack of service to the room

Stayed here many times but this time wasn’t as good. Booked the trip to have a family pool weekend and half of us didn’t even get in the pool because it was green and when we sat down the steps felt like slime. I started itching the minute I got in the pool

This was by far my favorite hotel experience. I could honestly live here. I loved this hotel. Breakfast was great, beds comfy tons of comfy pillows. The suite was cozy decor felt like home. I honestly never wanted to leave. My only complaint if I had to judge would be vending and ice machine was not on the second floor. Oh and the smells in hallways were amazing.

Roaches!!!!… Nothing against the staff they were great all the ladies at the counter were excellent hosts but come on Management you got to do A LOT better. Roaches really? And the pool was bad also. Trust me this is me being nice.

Was a great stay, my room wasn't available for what ever reason but got me a room kinda close to what I reserved. Rooms were clean, A/C was a little noisy but worked great in 110° weather. Breakfast was really great and satisfying, Overall it was a great stay

The room layout was spacious and comfortable. The ownership is going to have to start investing into the property soon because things like doorways between bedroom and bathrooms (pocket doors) were rough on their tracks, the shower piping was noisy like a bad whistle, little things like that. But is was clean ans the staff waa friendly.

Upon arrival, the smoke alarm was going off in the unit. I called the front desk and was told that she was the only staff member on property and that we would have to wait till morning. This is unacceptable. I replaced the battery, which I purchased, in the smoke detector so my family could sleep for the night.

I liked the suites. They are large and very comfortable. The personal are knowledgeable about what the motel stands for. The breakfast is awesome! The location of the motel is close to shopping and restaurants. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to stay at a great motel!

Accommodated for my big family. Breakfast was good. Could not make coffee in my room there was no coffee cup to put the grounds in and one of our remotes were kinda broken for the tv. Otherwise it was clean, and perfect place to stay.

Rooms were nice. But as soon as we got there, we noticed what looked like maybe a small beetle or something in our bed. Over the next few days, we discovered quite a few more. Told the receptionist and she kept saying “ Those are outside bugs”, not sure how they got there. Implying that maybe it was us that brought them in. However, I took pics and it shows maybe a few eggs and some dead ones.

Best breakfast ever! Clean rooms! Family friendly location! Easy to get to. Wonderful grounds and pool area! Would stay again!

I stayed in a 1-bedroom suite which was nice and spacious. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and everything appeared to be maintained as best as possible. However, there was a strong odor in the second-floor hallway that made coming and going unpleasant. The building is clearly older and could benefit from some updates like new flooring, fresh paint, and general remodeling. Overall, it’s fine for a short stay, maybe 2 or 3 days at most.

Great spacious ROOMS. /Two tvs. Channei selection slim... not as advertised. Super value. Diningroom person works very hard. Smells clean and fresh although an older property. Rugs are clean and look new. Stayed in suite 114 for 2 weeks. Very happy. Will stay here again.

Everything was great with the only exception being WIFI coverage. When the hotel is busy connection was impossible to get on the third floor where we stayed. Other than that room was great and area was quiet and comfortable. Would stay again.

The toilet was too low, in a very narrow space. Poor quality toilet paper.The shower head was like pins and needles. The toilet paper holder was falling off. The air conditioner was very noisy. No cleaning staff visited our room in the four days we were there.
