Many of the positive experiences from my first stay were repeated:- the great breakfast, comfortable beds, daily cleaning of rooms, great shower with daily towel change, proximity to great shopping locations etc. The warm, friendly welcome experienced during my first stay, was absent on this occasion. The young man at the front desk did not appear very enthusiastic about welcoming us. There was no explanation about WiFi access for example, which was provided during my first visit and which I observed being outlined to another guest by another front desk staff, a few days later. I reminded him that this was my second stay and was met with an expressionless “Oh…welcome back” By the second day of our stay, my adult daughter developed an episode of sneezing shortly after returning to our room. This continued until our departure from the hotel. Both myself and my wife also developed occasional episodes of sneezing while in the room, with my wife’s situation growing worst by the final morning before our departure. My wife had to resort to wearing a face mask from our departure from the hotel right through our flight home. The sneezing issue was more than likely caused by the carpet in the room, which appeared worn and dusty. This might have been a case of second time unlucky, but was quite unfortunate, as it took away from what would have otherwise been a memorable stay.

Only complaint is after 8am doors start to slam in hallways can’t sleep in if you want to. Maybe doors should have a softer closing or perhaps people could be more thoughtful about closing the doors. (Lol)

This is a VERY outdated hotel. If you must stay in the area, and there are no other options available, sure. But do yourself a favor and find something else for this price point. I had a regular room and presidential suite. Both outdated, smelly, not well maintained, and definitely NOT worth the money.

The location of the hotel is excellent if you are in the area for shopping, the parking lot is right there and there is plenty of space. The hotel staff is super friendly and helpful, the main areas in the hotel are nice. The bed in the room is extremely comfortable and there is a mini kitchenette that is very useful. I am afraid the rooms in the hotel are in dire need of remodelling, it seems nothing has changed since the 90's and the carpet was particularly worrisome..

Nice place to stay. staff was very helpful. There’s a pool, dining area and a Starbucks but the Starbucks closes at 12 PM. The breakfast is not complementary. This is a great hotel if you have a busy itinerary and you’re only using the room to sleep and rest.

We never had breakfast but we had dinner and the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Room was clean and kept clean during our stay. Front desk staff were super friendly and helpful. Only complaint is that the carpet in the bedroom could do with a change. It did not feel clean

Hotel with a great location, near the Sawgrass Mills shopping center (5 min), everything is close by, clean, safe, the rooms smell wonderful, quiet, and the beds and pillows are very comfortable, Convenient and secure parking . Yinette's service at breakfast was 10/10, and Jessica at reception was excellent. I stayed for 5 days, I highly recommend it and would definitely stay again. Everything is in order, nothing negative to comment on.

Very nice hotel very clean and waiting staff was very nice even bring me extra cookies I love the fact that you get cookies when you check in not only that I'm happy to say that now I'm a gold member and I can't wait to get more perks and see what other hotels I can stay at and the whole staff seems to be very nice and very attentive to our needs The only thing I think is that the the maid service needs to be a little faster because they take very long to clean the rooms so when I plan to leave the room every time I come back they have not finished my room that's the only downside I have is that I have not been out long enough to have them clean my room in time for me to enjoy my room clean after doing a small errand while I'm here

The room was a good size, clean and comfortable with coffee pod machine fridge and microwave plus hairdryer in the bathroom. Shower over bath. I think we had a receptionist who was new to the job because he couldn't find out reservation. Other staff were busy and there was no-one to assist him so it took forever. He lacked the skills of telling us where to park, where the elevators were even our assigned room number. No information regarding breakfast either. The rooms are lacking adequate soundproofing. Overhead footsteps!! But the plumbing sounds from overhead and next door were the worst. The shower/toilet use from next door sounded like jet engines taking off and we were thankful we only had 2 nights/mornings there We had breakfast in the hotel with a choice of a la carter at hotel prices or buffet at $22.50 per person. We picked the buffet as our option as it had some things not included in the a la carter BUT felt it was overpriced compared to our previous stay in a compatible chain hotel brand. The hotel has an Olive Garden restaurant within a 4 minute walk and that is where we had our evening meal (with their current offer buy one take one home free) for our 2nd nights meal so didn't use the hotel restaurant for dinner.

Great location if going to the Amerant Arena. There is also plenty of shopping ( Saw Grass Mall) and great restaurants! Enjoy!

Fridge rattled when compressor ran. Hard mattress. Restaurant was greasy/not great. Cocktail was quite bitter and not too palatable (ingredients said orange juice, didnt see or taste any orange juice in it).

The All-American breakfast was fantastic -- the Best!

For the most part, it was as expected for a Double Tree. However, this is a tall hotel, more than 8 stories. We had a room near the elevator. People were not an issue but the elevator made noise like a railroad track/airport runway. Do not stay in any room near the elevator!

10/10 stars!! Cameron went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable! I am now a Hilton member after my extremely pleasant experience at Hilton Sunrise. We will absolutely be back!

It was just a quick stay. Checked in late and out early. The property was clean and nice. The only issue was that our room had an adjoining door which made it easy to hear EVERYTHING happening in the room next to us. I seriously thought someone had walked into our room in the night.

The hotel is very nice and clean, rooms were nice. The pool area was nice, but be aware that the pool bar pictured on the site is hardly ever open. We booked this hotel because of closeness to the Panthers hockey arena, but be aware that the .5 mile distance on the site is as the crow flies; the actual walking distance according to my Fitbit was 1.36 miles, as you have to walk all the way around the mall that sits between the hotel and the arena. We definitely got our steps in.

The room was clean and the staff was more than helpful and attending. Four star only because the room we initially got was very close to the elevator so it was a pain trying to sleep. Once this was brought up to the staff however they moved us right away. Super helpful and enjoyable stay otherwise. I'll definitely stay again.

Sounds from other rooms i.e. voices, television, shower, toilet flushing, opening/closing of doors, and other noises were clearly audible. We are a family of 4. Only 3 bath towels were provided when the room was cleaned after our first night. Also, there were only 2 complimentary bottles of water when we first checked in. These were never replenished. As such, we had to purchase bottled water for the remainder of our 4-day stay. In my opinion and from my travel experience, bottled water is usually replenished daily among other complimentary amenities.

Quick check in but entering my room was a horrible smell, it made me sneeze but no tissues in the room. I asked the lady cleaning the next room, apparently they’re out of tissues. For $200 a night they need to do better. The list of things grew longer

The first room they gave us had ants on one of the beds. The new room they gave us had a toilet that when flushed made a loud pitch noise for a bit. To end it they charged me for two waters that I did not drink and they did not believe me.

The hotel I think is need of updating. The commode was extremely low. Another objection I had was that the room had only 3 paper cups, no drinking glasses or any utensils, plastic or otherwise. Otherwise, it was quite nice.

Very comfortable, modern hotel with plenty of free parking and a nice bar and restaurant on property. It’s right across the street from Sawgrass Mall and a short walk from Amerant Bank Arena. We were in town for a hockey game and walked to and from the stadium, it worked out great.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Did not use the restaurant. Climate control was good. Only negative is that the property is starting to show wear, especially in some areas of the carpet and the hotel bar was very limited and not real inviting, sort of spartan.

Linen on bed not ironed, looked as it has been used by previous guests… however it was washed. Very slow service during breakfast. We got tea and coffee just as we have finished eating our food. Reception staff forgot to give us vouchers for breakfast which was included in price of the room so 15 minutes have gone on clarifying why we had no vouchers. Room and bathroom well used and not refurbished for many years. Do not recommend.

Housekeeping is good, it’s clean. The front desk people are also very well spoken. It’s just that they don’t know if there’s missing item on each rooms. Because I called them that I don’t have a tv remote, and the tv was on my entire 2 nights stay. I could’ve just pull the cord if I want to but I choose not to. So, I spent my entire stay with the tv on, and no update for the remote I requested.

We love the proximity to the arena for the hockey games and the mall. Lots of restaurant choices and a clean nice pool. It’s a bit outdated and carpets should be replaced but comfortable beds and clean sheets and towels. Nice staff as well. We will be back.

The room seemed old and outdated. Carpets had a lot of stains and bathroom all outdated. Also this hotel charges $10 per package, if you have something delivered there which I don't agree with. Most hotels now are don't charge for this and are newer. I only positive for this hotel is the location which is walking distance for Sawgrass Mall.

I did contact Hotels.com and they in turn contacted our hotel to see if they would waive the fee, and they did. Sometime in the middle of the night our room had a very strong smell. It smelled like someone was smoking pot. But that morning the smell was still there. So I contacted the front desk and also spoke to someone from housekeeping on our floor. When we returned from going out the room smelled better but no one had made come in to make the beds and cleanup a bit. So, I did have to contact the front desk again about that issue. When housekeeping came she looked and acted upset that she was having to make up our room. Aside from that experience we would stay again because of its proximity to the arena, and the bartender Wilson! He was fabulous.

The hotel was nice and the service was good. We had only two issues - one was the offering of TV stations. They didn’t have access to NBC which was carrying sports programming i wanted to see, as well as other common sports channels. Also, the smoking area is near the main entrance to the hotel, which was unpleasant at times.

Staff were friendly n great location for shopping!

The location of this hotel was awesome. The pillows were some of the best. I've ever slept on the bit was average. However, we were in Room 619, and all we heard all night long. Was the elevator going up-and-down? We had to turn the air conditioning to 68, so it would run all night To drown out the noise of the elevator. We did not contact the front desks because we were exhausted and needed to sleep.

The hotel is kind of old. My room had a "funny" smeel that never went away.

I stayed before in this Hotel and right now is less than 75% good as it was in 2023.

Honestly, I could’ve overlooked the dirty carpet in our room that left my white socks FILTHY. I could’ve even let go the fact that one of the nightstands looked like it hadn’t been dusted at ALL. And it wasn’t the end of the world that the shower doesn’t get truly HOT. But the lousy service, coupled with being ignored by Jessica, was inexcusable. As owners of a business since 1988, we VALUE our customers and consider them the foundation of our success. When our customers have a need, THEY are our first priority. Seems like this hotel sees customers as a bother. Color me UNIMPRESSED.

We arrive a little after 4pm and we were told our room was not ready. We waited in the lobby and around 4:50 were told we could go to our room and it reeked of marijua. We took our bags back down stairs and asked for a different room. I will say they quickly accommodated us. I ordered room service and was told 35 minutes, but it took just over an hour and the burger was good but the steak on my salad was not edible it was full of chewy old rubber. The gentleman who brought our food was very nice and apologetic.

This was awful. Staff didn’t think it was a problem that my door was warped and I had to push my body on it to lock it. Maintenance told me to be sure to use my safety lock. I was moved due to a mold smell of the entire floor which had dry out fans going. A church rents the ballroom and it was like animals running the halls of all hours. Rude manager and desk staff. Told me it’s “ a hotel not my house”. We checked out a day early it was so bad. Ruined my daughter’s 15th birthday weekend.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times and it is has always been a relaxing, very comfortable stay, that I keep going back. Diane at the front desk has been very helpful, kind and friendly. She always makes me feel welcome when visiting. Property is very close to Sawgrass Mills mall so this is a big plus if also looking to do some shopping.

The hotel location to the mall is convenient. The variety of food options for breakfast was good and being able to take away item was a plus. Beds were also very comfortable and room was spacious.

We love staying at this location. Its location is perfect! If I had to give any negative review it would be for the restaurant on property. Both times we have been there it is understaffed. Food menu needs to be updated online to reflect menu items available.

This is our go to place from visiting our daughter down in sunrise, Florida, conveniently located near the Sawgrass mall .

The hotel lobby was clean and updated. The room was not. We paid for a deluxe King and the rug was old, stained and ripped up on edges. We paid extra for the breakfast buffet which just wasn't worth the money.

It was very quiet and convenient

From the check in to the service iat the restaurant. Everything was 5star.💃🍷
