As far as the room goes, the bed was comfortable. However the door on room 322 seemed to act like it was jammed and then not want to open. The a/c was a little janky too. The lobby area in the entrance was clean but it smelled moldy

Did not try breakfast, left each morning before 6:00.

The breakfast foods were fresh every morning, staff were very helpful and the cleaning crew always working.

Rooms were pretty good spacious clean and room service did come around each day and offered clean linens and anything else you needed.

Everything was very good. I especially appreciated the super-quiet room, very comfortable bed, and the wonderful staff. The woman who managed the breakfast area was a pure delight, as was Duke, the check-in guy. We would definitely stay here again!

Breakfast has a good variety of items and an attentive staff member on hand always. The staff is exceptional. We appreciate both evening managers, along with Bryan and Janet. Thank you for a very comfortable stay!

The check in process was easy and the parking was good. But the room had crumbs on the floor not completely vaccuumed. The AC was not as cool as it should have been. And when I went to check out in the morning, the elevator was out of order, so I had to walk down from the 3rd floor to leave.

The pancake machine was out both mornings and there were lots of items that needed refilling. The food available and the coffee were very good

The room was clean. Staff and cleaning crew were very nice and professional. Breakfast was nice and hot. It was kept clean and plentiful! The new model coffee machine was great! Even though my room was not mess up daily, the young lady on the cleaning staff was courteous to reset my room daily. This was a great place to stay in Suffolk, NC. All staff made sure that everything was okay. Even the breakfast staff lady ask me too! This was a wonderful experience! Thank you!

Janet was so helpful. Very consciencious with her serving and cleaning of the lobby and dining area. Duke baked some great cookies for those in the lobby. Our room needed to have carpet cleaned. We would stay at this hotel again.

No water pressure in the shower. Toilet stopped up 2 times. Sink stopped up. The room was NOT cleaned very well when we arrived. We have stayed there many times but this was the worst. I am not sure If I will ever stay there again. My husband does like their breakfast.

Awesome breakfast and many stores and restaurants close by for variety to eat. Had a bit of a hiccup misunderstanding with extending my stay. Once everything was sorted out paid a bit more than I wanted, but paid nonetheless.

I stayed 5 nights here and I would return. The room was exceptionally clean and the staff was great.

The sofa bed needs to be replaced in the one bedroom suite the we stayed in. The mattress was thin, uncomfortable and had a spring sticking up. There was a slit in the front and you could see the inside material of the couch. Outdated for the cost of the suite. Very strong bleach smell, almost unbearable. Had to air out the room. Front staff were very nice and helpful.

We arrived for breakfast around 8am. The biscuits were good but not hot. Coffee was great, they had coffee mate creamer - our preference is international delight but the coffee itself was good. The room stayed a comfortable temp. The bed and pillows were comfy. Room was fairly quiet except a few neighbors going in & out of their room. The gentleman that checked us in as well as the lady that checked us out were both very polite, no issues. There were scrambled eggs - they were runny. They had turkey patties and sausage links - didn't taste very good. They had sausage gravy - didn't taste very good nor settled well. There were fresh cinnamon rolls - they were hot under the heat lamp, were a bit dry but much better than the rest of breakfast. The bananas were very green, not ripe enough to eat unless you prefer the green ones. For the shower, the shower walls had small - looked like mens black hairs, on the walls of the shower. Behind the refrigerator was gross, lots of dripped liquids on the wall. This could be seen when bent down to put drinks in. There was only 1 elevator for the building and it was pretty slow. Ice machine, there was only 1 for the building - it was on the 3rd floor. You could hear a lot of traffic going up and down the street out front.

Janet, the lady who made breakfast everyday was such a gem! What a sweet lady! The good was hot and fresh and her friendliness made our mornings. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. Love that there was shampoo, body soap, hand soap and lotion supplied in the hanging bottles. The entire staff was friendly and welcomed us with courtesy. We will definitely stay there again. We were in room 124. No bacon over the weekend (haha). No sheets, blankets or pillows ready for the pull out couch despite our reservation stating there were 3 children and 3 adults. We had to ask for them.

The machine room next door to my room was very noisy and the clerk did not offer another room. She just said, "sorry". Needless to say, I didn't sleep very well and the beds and pillows were too soft.

The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean. My only dislike was that the privacy shade was broken (We made if work because we were only there for one night) and the bathroom shower needed some repair. Overall it was a great stay with prime location on a friendly budget.

Was Hot. The plug was tripped out and The window would not close. Breakfast was mediocre. They had pancakes which my kids were excited about but the were out of regular syrup and only had “diet syrup” which of course didn’t taste good. The boiled eggs tasted like they had been frozen.

I work in customer service so I know what it takes to provide excellent service. This hotel was a 10/10 the employees I encountered were top notch and I’d say again in a heartbeat.

I was glad to have several food options in walking distance, so convenient! The property was clean and comfortable. They could have done a little better on the breakfast each morning but it was satisfactory! Over all my stay was wonderful.

I was handed keys and a paper to sign and nothing else. I realize with everything being digital and electronic that the assumption is that all information is available online. The bed and pillow were super comfy.

The hotel was very accomodating for a midnight check in. Breakfast from 7-9 was problematic for us as we arrived after a 14-hour road trip and barely got up by 9AM. The biggest issue was the TV. The bottom half of the screen was distorted.

The room door had a gap in it, the bed was comfortable but it squeaked. Breakfast ended at 9am (way too early). The staff was very friendly. For it to be Suffolk the surrounding areas had a lot of shopping options and food options. It also felt safe.

This is the second time I’ve stayed at this facility and each time I was very pleased with everything. Large rooms and very large bathrooms. I highly recommend choosing this hotel.

Per the manager William, the beds are new but they are higher than a normal bed so I could not get into the bed without help. I had to get a step stool to get in and out of bed. Very difficult for a 78 year old woman

Very clean and comfortable hotel. There is one thing that I must say is a complaint and that is the hotel charges for coffee. I can understand charging for breakfast; that’s understandable, even though almost every other hotel on the planet gives you free breakfast. However, charging for coffee borders on criminal.

This place was horrible. The sheets on the bed smelled dirty, and the linen on the bed had a few dried up spots that look like blood drippings,the toilet backed up, and started to overflow, sewage smell in the main floor hallway, very low water pressure in the bathroom sink, the mini fridge was holding old stale water around the rubber seal door, the window allowed a draft to enter, due to poor maintenance upkeep, the carpet inside the hallway appeared dirty, and overall the inside is dated, the parking blacktop has oil spots, and the outside of the place needs a good pressure wash.

The hotel was great. Check in, the room, cleanliness, the breakfast were all great. One small complaint... the pillows were soft and flimsy.

My husband and I stayed at this property and when we checked into our room, I noticed water on the bathroom floor. I washed a few dishes with dish detergent and I saw the bubbles spilling out of the pipes underneath the sink. We asked for a new room and were given a new room but the coffee table was missing. Instead they had a tiny blue roll away table but not big enough for us to use for our dinner. Also, my step daughter spent an evening with us and when they opened the pull out couch, the mattress had so many crumbs and it was dirty. She ended up sleeping on top of the couch cushions which is not ideal especially when we paid for a standard experience. This was less than standard. Breakfast option was good though and location to the major highway and small shopping center next door was good as well.

Minus: Shower not cleaned thoroughly; found hair on wall and in corner. No tub. No tray for breakfast. Printer down; no receipt provided for stay.

They told me they couldn't guarantee room I booked thru Expedia. Housekeeping only left 2 towels for 4 ppl. Great location and front desk very helpful

The hotel exceeded expectations with its excellent staff, service, well-maintained rooms, and a delightful surprise with the breakfast. I plan to return when I'm back in town.

Housekeeping didn't do a good job at all. A pill and a penny were lrft on the floor and my husband grabbed it just before our 1 year could. We had less than half the amount of linen we should have had. We requested more and it was taking so long to come that we requested a late checkout and we were told no and we had to share body towels to dry off after showering. 2 towels for 6 people. Ridiculous

The room and hotel exceeded my expectations. Mr. Duke was great!

Overall nice stay! However there was low water pressure in the bathroom. I also walked into my room to find that it was cold which I discovered the screen pried open slightly and the window was open. I closed the window and locked it. Left me a little uneasy.

Staff often replaced keys or replaced lost keys without checking ID or asking names. For several people. You can literally walk in and say you lost your key card and they will give you access to any room you ask for.

Beds were comfy. Staff was hospitable. Breakfast was sublime. Hell of a cup of coffee!!!

Would have preferred to not have a handicap accessible room. Sheets had stains on them .

The cushions on the couch bed has stains all over it. On both sides. Besides that thank you for a good stay.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Holiday Inn in Suffolk, VA, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel's location was convenient for my travel plans. It was situated in a relatively quiet area, which allowed for a peaceful night's sleep.

Management was not good

Other than the staff who were nice for the most part, this place needs upgrading badly. Found hair in the bacon. Mold in the AC and smelled, poop juice around the base of the toilet. Beds are uncomfortable, left with severe back pain. Pool was decent. Lastly the electrical trucks that took up all the parking spaces in the back and having men sit in the truck and watch you in the pool is not a great feeling

We arrived very late and the customer service representative was fully attentive and provided excellent assistance to get us checked in.

Quick efficient check-in. Spacious room.
