Bad place a lot of homeless people rund down hotel. Motel 6 is probably way better. It's totally false advertisement that's why no refund. They guy went in the room before we did took a minutes to fix whatever there was no couch a old futon it smell like mildew and paint plus no room everything was so close to everything the online picture shows enough space tv on wall everything was so different. There was paint on the blankets I have pictures . Me and my husband have different accounts with you guys and we use expidia all the time, never been disappointed till that day. We left after 7 minutes of been there. I made him look and he didn't care to do anything about it. I stay at safari inn for less and it actually look like we wanted on line.

It was well area very quiet spot near restaurants and convenience stores. Check in was easy and check out was easier. Bathroom shower was not the best. It kept filling up with water within seconds. I did call about it but they only offered me a plunger…

The only plus was the fact that it’s only about 1.5 miles from Universal Studios, NOT .6 like Booking has listed. Dirty, outdated, small, had plumbing issues, leaks, and electrical issues. Location is not manned 24/7 so getting someone to address the clogged sink upon arrival, tripped breaker the second night, and shower leaks was difficult. The sink and breaker were resolved the next day but that did not help the issue at the time. They’re charging a premium for a sub standard location at best that needs repairs and renovations. The pictures on Booking are NOT of that location.

Proximity to Universal Studios Zero amenities. Cold empty box of a room. Tiled floor got dirty very easily. Shabby little table and wooden chair was the only place to sit beside the bed. Lighting was horrible!! One ridiculously bright overhead light and a bathroom light. One tiny window. Place felt like a prison cell.

Beds wete uncomfortable, pullout "bed" was small, (toddler size) but advertised as full bed, and mold was in the shower. I was unable to change rooms or get a refund. This is an older facility so take that into account. If you're looking for a fairly clean room, a hot shower and a fairly comfortable bed to sleep on, and don't mind it being an older facility, then this is the place for you. It had 2 queen beds and a fold down couch so everyone was able to have plenty of room to sleep. Room is small but provides the necessities. Everything worked like the air conditioner, tv, mini fridge, microwave etc. The room was cleaned and beds made every day which was nice. It was only a few minutes from Universal Studios so I would say the value was good for the price.

Black mould in the showers, dirty sheets greedy finger prints on the walls and being ground floor with sketchy neighbours made it feel extremely unsafe and would not budge when alerted about black mould and need to check out early. Would NOT recommend.

I liked that I had a room that was not connected to others but it was not comfortable. Small quarters, little furniture, blinds didn't block the lights on all night. The noise was ok if you turned on the loud air conditioner and portable fan/heater. Internet didn't work at all.

The front desk guy was courteous but when we came back the door key was not working, no one was at the front desk, I called the number and he asked us to go to another hotel 2 miles away to get another key. We were tired and upset with this since we had reserved for 2 days and 2 nights. I would never come back to this hotel and will probably not do reservations throughout Expedia again.

I reserved a room some of my employees to stay while in town for business and after showing up at the property they refused to stay there due to the lack of cleanliness and the people in and around the property. Although I had not checked in yet the property first agreed to refund my money less one night of three and then at the last minute refused to any refund.

Asked for refund after seeing bugs (NO OUTLETS NEXT TO BES FOR CHARGING ELECTRONICS,) so I moved the headboard and there were bugs! They refused. Nothing fancy and smells old but it's a place to sleep for a few hours. Didn't like that you have to check in at a different location after 10pm and then drive back to the room. Close to Universal Studios which was nice. I like a firm bed but the beds were hard.

El Patio Inn is a simple and quaint place. We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. We truly enjoyed the convenience of the location and the subtle charm from the landscape and ambient lighting at night. The rooms were outdated and plain, but provided us with just the basic needs. Over all cleanliness was good and they are attentive to your needs if you ask. The staff was very kind, honest, and helpful. We misplaced a phone and they immediately notified us when they found it. We appreciate this place and would stay again. We recommend El Patio Inn if you are looking for an eccentric, but minimal styled place to rest your head.

Parking is first come so if you are arriving late, there may not be a parking spot. I was told to park on the street outside of the property! The only spots outside were in the parking meter areas! The air conditioner inside also smelled musty when it was on. Overall it served it's purpose for a quick place to sleep before heading to universal studios.

We enjoyed our stay - The hotel is old but the priece and location are great. bed and bathroom are all right - The a/c was an old model but it worked amazingly well. Good Amenities. Only bad thing was that bed sheets wasn't really clean I watched some hairs and doubt it was for washing.

Great value and very convenient location to Universal Studios. The parking is tight, but very easy to exit through the alley. The beds were soft and the stuffed animals the kids brought were always ruched in waiting for us to return.

This place COULD be a gem, but it is not. It’s cheaper for a reason, I suppose. Quite loud during the day (I think from the motor shop next door?) Homeless people camped right outside the rooms under the awning plants. No great!! Especially because there is NOT anyone in the office all hours.

Once you are in the room, it’s dirty and very noisy at night. Outside if you have suv or bigger car please stay away, you will take a long time to get in and out!! They don’t have anyone on site to help.

Not much to like, though it was quiet and bed and was comfortable. No coffee machine in room, cramped bathroom, poor lighting, hard to find outlets. Had to drive 1.1 mile to get a key at a different location.

They're back and fourth banging was so loud we got like 2 hrs of sleep. Our car was hit parked outside the hotel. We had to tow it. Find somewhere else and stay safe.

We will definitely be back! Were so glad we stumbled upon this fantastic budget friendly hotel! Short distance from Universal Studios, accommodations for 5, clean room, great rate, incredibly helpful staff all made this the perfect property for our weekend getaway!

They did not provide the proper amount of toilet paper for 4 people the first night (half a roll). So, we called front desk on the first day, if they can provide us with some for the rest of our stay or at least with 1-2 rolls more and will go pick it up (which is about a mile & a half away at another hotel). They refused at first because we have requested no service while we were there. We do not like people going into our hotel room & touching & moving our stuff around. We feel that as a guest, we should have that preference respected (invasion of privacy). This is why we requested "no service" & called to request toilet paper ahead of time. They finally said that they will have the housekeeper drop it off in the morning at 10am. We would not be in the room & we were not going to be waiting until then. We were on vacation & wanted to be at Universal Studios early (ridiculous to wait on toilet paper). Well, we had to accept those terms & to come back around 1am from the park to realize there was no toilet paper. We called front desk & they had us drive the mile & a half to the other property at 1am & mind you we were exhausted from the day. How petty to treat a guest like this for a reasonable request & have them drive in the middle of the night instead of treating a guest with respect & decency. Especially, when we were asking politely, at a reasonable hour, & willing to go get it. I can go on & on about service. Blatantly rude & very poor service. NEVER AGAIN

Headrest was infested with bed bugs and the bed had tiny ones that bit me. Had to wake up my family and leave immediately! Parking is very tight also.

The hotel is older but charming. The staff is so nice and perfect area.

Nice place, clean. Small rooms and parking area Is small. Not made for bigger vehicles.

Of toilet paper, and hair blow dryer never worked I personally don’t recommend this place

The motel and staffing was great. The downside was there was no ice machine, no coffee, or continental breakfast.

We have stayed here many times. The rooms are small but they are clean and customer service has always been good.

Had a suite that slept 5 comfortably. Room was very clean, sheets were clean & smelled fresh. Extra bedding for sofa sleeper was in the room already. Check in was quick & easy at alternate site just down the road from El Patio Inn. 3-4 minute drive from Universal. Restaurants, fast food, 7-11's all within walking distance or 1-2 minute drive. Safe area. We were very pleased with our stay & would definitely stay there again. I always check for cockroaches & bed bugs before I bring in my luggage & was happy to see the mattress had protective covers & room was free from critters! Had a good size fridge w/freezer, microwave & good air conditioner. Bathroom had seperate shower & large bathtub & both room & bathroom was very spacious.

The rooms were nice but small and the beds were a bit hard. Otherwise it was ok

The blow dryer broke and they never replaced it. The room and bathroom had no counter space.
