Nice staff, good breakfast, nice pool, rooms are a little less than average. Though the room was generally clean, the bathroom tub had some pink mold, the shower curtain smelled, and the doors and sinks were worn out. The front door seemed to have forced entry damage.

Due to its location, it was ridiculously loud - highway noise all day and night. Very disappointed they jacked the prices up higher due to local graduations. Stayed at similar hotels that offered a free breakfast. Don’t think I’d stay there again.

Very nice stay and kind staff. Especially appreciate their staff in the breakfast bar. Super service. Bring your own towel to the pool which is not heated but warm enough in the afternoon in May.

Quiet, tucked away, though buzz of Hwy 81 clearly audible. Bedding etc very clean. Staff were friendly. Hard plastic floors in rooms easy to clean, but NOT cozy. Breakfast pretty pricey for a Holiday Inn. Don't stay if you don't have own transportation. DiStaff didn't know how to get to very close-by Shannandoh Parkway. Didn't refresh towels or have notice about if this was for conservation purposes or not.

My complaint would be the bathroom floor was a bit dirty. The place really isn’t as updated as other places, but it is comfortable. The TV remote didn’t work. I did talk to staff. They switched it out with another remote but it still didn’t work. We didn’t go back down again. It was more of a hassle.

The property was clean and well kept. It had plenty of parking. The room was spacious. We had a 2 queens and we still had room for a twin air mattress on the floor. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were firm enough they didn’t go flat. The restaurant was a little pricey but the food was delicious

We didn’t eat breakfast there. We had dinner in the restaurant and waited at least 45 minutes for our drinks and 60 minutes for dinner. The only server was hustling to serve us and others but also to carry glasses and ice to the bar. She was delightful despite working so hard. Additionally, the tissue box in the room was empty.

The front desk clerks was awesome but there was a lady named dawn in the restaurant that needed to do better. But other than that it was fantastic i would highy recommend them to any of my family and friends. Done a great job. Also i had to check out before breakfast head to Charlottesville 4 surgery so i really cant say on that but i imagine it was great

$20 for the same breakfast available at EVERY other hotel. A colleague could only stay for 1/3 days that I had booked, and I checked her out early. Neither this Hotel nor Expedia will give me any money back. The hassle and headache both have put me through is great, and I'm now having to eat the cost of the extra room. 1/10 - won't stay here again.

Great property especially for the price. We’d been hiking and spelunking all weekend and we stayed in Staunton for our last night before traveling back home. Very clean and comfortable. Staff was kind and gave us good recommendations for dinner downtown.

The parking was easy and secure. The staff was exceptional - very welcoming and friendly. We had dinner each night in the restaurant/bar. Criana was wonderful. She made an excellent Passionfruit martini and was a wealth of information about the local area. We will definitely stay here when we're in the area again.

I liked that they treated us so nice when checking in and that everything in our room was top tier in cleanliness. We have no complaints

Great location off of Route 81

The hotel had everything from a restaurant, indoor pool, 2 elevators, and well lit and clean. The wait time to check in was extremely excessively long as I checked in at 9p.m. one weekend and 630pm the next weekend. Our room key did not work the second day both weekends and had to wait a very long time to get it rekeyed which was a major inconvenience with having my special needs child having to go to the room and go back to front desk just to get the key reprogrammed when we had already been there the night before.

Breakfast and dinner in hotel. I don’t understand why this property owner cancelled the order to make breakfast in the morning. The buffet breakfast is not the same.

Convenient to where we needed to be right off the highway. Our room was not clean. Unfortunately, we didn’t notice until late that night/early morning, when we were too tired to report it. The towels and washcloths were dirty, so we requested replacements. After getting in the shower, we noticed more grime up close, and the tub would not drain once the water was turned on. The toilet also had to be flushed twice to work properly. Before leaving, while checking the room for any belongings, we found several items left behind by previous guests. This made our stay feel very uncomfortable, which was disappointing we stayed in this hotel summer of 2025 and had an enjoyable stay.

We tried to eat dinner at the 'restaurant' but after waiting 10 minutes and seeing absolutely no one anywhere, we left for a local pizza place instead. Overall the stay was really good. Staff were very friendly and welcoming when we checked in and whenever we passed through the lobby. Housecleaning Team were really nice as well whenever we saw them around the hotel. Breakfast on Saturday was definitely lacking. Food was barely over room temperature, the coffee was about the same. The staff member we did see was very friendly and nice, but it looked like she was the only person working the restaurant. I saw people go out to the coffee pot in the hallway just to have a cup for breakfast. We chose to eat breakfast out in town on Sunday due to how the food was.

The location, price, size of the room, comfort of the beds and shower were all great. Breakfast, for 10.00 a person, was quite good, and we enjoyed the pool! The restaurant only had bar food the night we stayed, and a minor point is that the pool towels are very small. Overall, we had a great stay with polite and attentive staff!

The room was very clean, and it was pet friendly with parking on our level even though we were on the 3rd floor. Great space for the dog without being in anyone's way. There was no hot water due to burst pipe. We should have been informed at check in. When we discovered it we were told a crew was there "working on it" and it "should" be fixed that evening or night. The desk staff were not at fault for the burst pipe but should have been more informative and offered an option to move to another hotel.

My fiancé spent the next 20mins doing his own tinkering and God knows what he had to do in there that required multiple washes and showers to get it to function. What should’ve been a fun adventurous and relaxing stay for our weekend, we were left feeling uncomfortable and disappointed.

We paid extra for the breakfast buffet for the 3 mornings we would be there. It was terrible. They are so short staffed that it was 15-20 minutes before the food on the buffet was replaced. I have had better continental breakfast at far cheaper hotels. Our second morning we actually left without eating breakfast because there was no food and it seemed not to be a priority to replace it. Our third morning it was a little better, but the biscuits were cold, the gravy was clumpy, and the french toast was reheated, frozen french toast. And nothing was really hot. It was luke warm at best. Save yourselves the money and try Kathy's restaurant. They are fast, food was good and hot. The room itself was clean, but water stains on ceiling tiles were spray painted, wall paper was peeling in places, the elevator was sqeaky and a little unnerving. Most of the staff we interacted with was pleasant and tried to remedy the breakfast situation, but everything else was beyond their control. If you are staying just a night or two, you'll be fine, any longer and I would book elsewhere.

The clerk at the front desk was very professional, but appeared to be the only employee in the entire hotel, because truly anyone could set out milk, juice, cereal boxes, muffins, bread, etc. The manager was not there. It appeared nobody was there but this poor clerk at the front desk. I had booked this hotel specifically because it included breakfast and that was going to be so convenient for group — 2 adults, 3 kids, 2 rooms. So that was frustrating. Otherwise, the hotel was fine — dated and showing some age but clean.

We were able to check in early since our room was already available, although when we came down for breakfast we found out that their cook didn't show up so no breakfast. This place was really nice. I totally enjoyed my stay. The room was updated, fresh and clean. The staff was courteous. There is a golf course next door. I walked some of the path after they closed at sunset and it was beautiful. The restaurant on site was excellent. It was so convenient and the food was great.

The hotel sits right next-door to a golf club that is available to the public. The hotel is easily accessible off the highway and the rooms were nice and fresh and clean. The breakfast selection and quality of foodwas really quite good.

Overnight on way back from FL/SC. Great staff. Had a nice walk around the golf course in the evening and morning before departure. Very quite. Very comfortable. No complaints. Great location.

Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Had a very nice stay.

A reasonable rate for a full-service hotel. Hotel is either new or recently renovated and it looks it. Everything clean, good service and appreciated the full-service breakfast. Get tired of eating frozen egg patties undercooked bacon and oatmeal.

It was adequate for a quick stop over on a road trip

Great hotel! Very large and clean. Staff is super friendly. They have a restaurant and bar, which we did not partake of. Breakfast is not free. Not sure what the restaurant serves or how much it costs as there is no menu anywhere. Rooms are spacious and clean. No problems at all. The hotel also has an indoor pool although it wasn't warm in the room when we visited. It is connected to the bar. There is also an outdoor pool. There are three conference rooms which can be joined for a presidential ballroom. We couldn't see inside since the doors were locked. Prob the best hotel we stayed at during our travels.

Somewhat lacking in amenities. I miss having even a tiny bar of soap; I don’t care for body washes or other highly scented stuff. No plastic liners in trash baskets. No plastic cups.

Our stay was great. Clean spacious room. Restaurant and bar inside was nice. Only con was the tv with the no smart abilities or streaming or even casting.

Really good. My only complaint was ALL Dove bath products...hand soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, body wash. Not my favorite. Otherwise, great location, great service, comfortable, clean, quiet. Not much near the hotel, but restaurant & bar on site was very much appreciated, especially with the nasty wintry weather.

The restaurant on sight is very sporadic and depends on available employment. When the restaurant is open, this place is great! It’s our go to pit stop between Tennessee and New York. Everyone is so friendly here, and if the restaurant isn’t open, there are numerous choices just a short drive away and some even deliver to the hotel. All in all we love this place and definitely recommend it. If you have kids, they have an indoor pool and if you have pets they are welcome in certain rooms. Very convenient!

Disappointed the pool was not operating. The heater was broken.

Nice stay. Clean, spacious room. Comfy bed and pillows. Slightly small bathroom.

Property is clean and well maintained except one of the elevators wasn’t working. Staff were friendly and rooms comfortable. Bed was a bit hard but nice pillows and linens.

The bathroom was stinking. It affected our sleep. We didn’t have time to report in the front desk to ask for a room change as it was a late night check in. And we already checked out.Request you to give us a discount on our stay.

First we were given a room with the detective toilet - had to switch. The old type under-the-window AC blows cold air straight into closest bed: if I slept in it - I would wake up sick with a cold (happened before). Having a fridge in a room is helpful.

Nice quite location

Our bathroom was clean, but the carpet had not been vacuumed, and an extra pillow was on the floor behind a chair. Trucks on Route 81 were noisy all night. No rooms on the “quiet” side were available.

They do have complimentary coffee. I asked for decaf and desk clerk said it would take 5 minutes to make but …. After a half hour later I asked about it again. Clerk was on her phone and said she had forgotten about it. She did however apologized.

We traveled with our dog & since they were pet friendly we booked a night here. Extra pet fee. Perfect for an overnighter though

Honestly, the hotel was pretty good and the staff were pretty nice. I did pay a little bit more for this hotel thinking that there was a swimming pool only to find out that it was closed for renovations when we got there. Apparently you need to read the fine print under some policy link when booking to know that the pool was closed. Had the pool been open, it would’ve been an excellent stay for the price. Advice, when booking any hotel that states that they have a pool, confirm that they do have a pool and that it is open for use.

I love that they use liquid soap & shampoo dispensers rather than bars and bottles that will be thrown away between guests! Much more earth friendly!

Didn’t sleep all night

Everything was great except that we were really looking forward to using the pool during our stay, as our children needed to burn some energy after a long drive. We purposely booked a hotel with pool for this reason but the pool was not functioning.

Apparently the pool, which continues to be promoted and looks beautiful in the pictures, has been closed for almost a year. The road noise is insane. Bed felt like a comforter wrapped around plywood or something. Restaurant is only opened for breakfast. For the discomfort and lacking amenities this should be a budget hotel but the price is not, and they would not give a partial refund for the dissatisfaction. I won’t stay here again and would definitely not recommend.

We chose this property over others because of the indoor pool. When we got there we found it was closed. We paid more to stay there so it was a big displeasure of our stay.

Plumbing issues included shower hardware coming out of wall, and shower did not drain properly. Bar and dinner dining not available due to staffing issues.

After driving across the country for 5 days, we have learned we want a hotel with a restaurant at it or next door. We don’t want to check in and have to drive to eat. Booked this hotel because it had both bar and restaurant only to arrive and find them closed. Nearest restaurant was several miles away. We ended up eating terrible frozen food from their store. Front desk clerk could have cared less

Main lobby is beautiful but the rooms area is just ok. Property is overdue for a renovation to keep up with the surrounding area.

The hotel's restaurant and bar were closed when advertised open until 11pm. I arrived around 9 pm looking forward to getting dinner and a drink. Too bad, not to many take out options either.

Choose for the big parking lot

My stay was exactly what I needed. Peace and quiet after a long stressful week. Staff was very polite.

It was wonderful! Very clean, friendly staff, only thing I did wish was they had a side door entrance but other then that perfect!

This was a last minute choice due to a traffic accident on 81 and sitting in traffic with my dog. So freindly, and accomodating.

The room was very clean.Bathroom spotless. Everyone at front desk was so friendly and helpful. Allowed the use of large dining table, when we ordered pizza one evening, when there was 10 of us. Off the beaten path, no traffic noise. Just great place to stay.

We were greeted by an very unfriendly employee at the front desk. The rooms smelled absolutely awful when you first walked in. They offer a breakfast buffet but the trick is on you because it’s not actually free. The signs posted are so small that you don’t even see them until you already have a plate off food and ready to sit down. The buffet is definitely not worth what they are charging.
