The room smelled of mildew, we all kept sneezing in the morning. It was not a good experience.

The room was 78 degrees upon arrival. Too hot not only for humans but also for my dog.

Location to Rte. 77, clean, convenient and welcoming! I would have preferred a 1st floor room with our pet but it worked out well.

Sooo... The hotel, the parking, the location, all good. Insofar as amenities, be prepared to pay for EVERYTHING! That surprised me. I realize prices everywhere for everything have gone up, at times dramatically, but having to pay for a cup of fresh coffee $3 in the morning was a bit over the top. Now let's discuss the Staff. The Breakfast staff were so discourteous, rude, and scarcely civil both days that by the second day we went to McDonalds for coffee and a muffin just to keep the day from starting out so negatively. And that's a shame. I've stayed many a night in Hotel Marriotts over the years. But you can bet I won't be back to this one.

So we had the Presidential Suite, and while it was very spacious, we realized we needed a rollaway pretty badly since the couch bed was only a twin size. I felt bad for the man working the front desk, it seems he was the only employee in the whole building all afternoon/evening and was struggling. Some guests decided to leave after dealing with having to wait on things, and we finally gave up on getting the rollaway. So some of the party had to sleep in the floor that night. For what you pay, that's sad. But it's also sad that he needed help and didn't have any, so we aren't "mad" at him by any means. Probably would just look elsewhere next time.

The staff did not know how to operate their new computer system and were unable to check me in. I waited 45 minutes for my key card and only after the hotel manager arrived from his home to do it. The room is outdated and in poor to fair condition. There was hair in the sink and the shower.

Room was clean and whatever scent they use in the hallway is absolutely insanely amazing and I want it for my own home! Stayed on Christmas and the gentleman working. The front desk was so nice and friendly and so accommodating to me and my pets.

I got a handicapped room because my husband had knee surgery in Charlotte and we spent two days at Courtyard by Marriott so he could recover enough to travel back home. The handicapped shower had a wooden seat that was attached to the wall with screws that was missing some screws and was not sturdy enough to sit on. There was a small coffee pot in the room, but the inside looked like it had never been washed. And there were dead cockroaches in the floor. The staff was very nice. The man at the front desk…not so much. Maybe was just having a bad day.

I told the staff member that I was tired and he put me next to an exit door, no Sir. He changed my room but the fact that he thought I wanted to hear a door closing and I told him I was tired just did make sense to me.

Unfortunately wasn’t able to have breakfast as we had to be at an even before it started but the eating area looked very nice and comfortable. And even had private sitting spots with its own tvs. Was a very nice setup. The beds were the best bed I’ve slept in at a hotel in ages! 10/10 would highly recommend.

Didn't have no breakfast, But when packing my car up I realized my car was broken into while parked at the hotel. Not only had to replace one window it was four windows had to be replaced. Car was demolished inside, people who worked there didn't act liked they even cared so no i will not be back at Statesville again worst experience of my life

My room was partially cleaned, the TV didn’t work and looked like it was from 1990. Whoever was rooming above me had the TV most of the evening, so you could hear it though the walls. I think preventative maintenance and upgrading is needed for the rooms, but standard fare for the rate.

Great front desk staff. Very friendly and welcoming. We had a late check in so we missed out on all the other great amenities like the bar/grill but were able to grab a few things from your Market Place to snack on. The beds were very comfortable and the bath clean and fresh. Breakfast was fantastic. Best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. Made to order and as good as any fine restaurant. Makes me wish we had arrived in time to have a shot at that dinner menu…will have to stay again sometime soon!

The hotel is dated. The first room I received wasn't fresh, and the second room wasn't either. Additionally, it smelled awful. The third room was dirty, with dirty bed sheets, and the fourth room had ants and bugs all over. The staff wasn't invaluable; it's a $ 200-a-night hotel. DON'T BOOK IT!!!

The TV only had one channel, there wasn't anybody at the desk when I tried to check out, and I got charged more on my card than what my receipt says and I got no information at check in about why this may have occurred. I'm going to call and ask if it's maybe part of a security deposit or what, but regardless I should have been informed.

Check in was a bit confusing as I booked the room on line and the clerk at the front desk asked for my credit card. I asked if it was for incidentals since I already paid for the room. She said yes. I was charged twice for the room so we needed to ask the manager the next morning to correct the issue.

I fell in the shower. The shampoo and shower wash was in the back of the shower in the sloped part of the shower making me fall against the granite seat. I have a big bruise on my back from the fall.

We were told we had to pay for parking because we didn't reserve with the hotel directly. Then we got double charged for the room after checking out because they couldn't bill it to Expedia. Many customer service attempts later no progress has been made. We were humiliated when the staff said we couldn't leave because Expedia's mode of payment declined, and are still stuck in the middle of both parties' refusal to cooperate. Very bad experience!

From the moment I walked in the door and was greeted by the most amazing manager at the desk, Dallas, I knew it was going to be a comfortable stay. He went above tge call of duty making us feel at home. The Bistro at the Hotel was incredible. The courtyard where we could eat our dinner was like being at a beautiful island. And the best was the room. It was impeccably clean and comfortable. After driving 5 hours it was so refreshing and relaxing to be a part of this beautiful environment.

Cold old coffee in the lobby in the morning . Getting stuff out of my car in the parking lot and a car rolling up to me asking me for money . Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at . Never again

Our bathroom was not clean, food was left in the fridge and the sheets weren’t changed or appeared not to be. They were coming off on the corners, had hair on the sheets and very wrinkled like they hadn’t been changed. Front desk apologized and sent new sheets up for us to change.

This was our second stay at this Marriott Courtyard. It’s at the halfway point between our home in Pennsylvania and Orlando, FL. The staff was friendly and pleasant, the rooms were clean, and we barely heard a peep from the rooms of other guests. We highly recommend!

The tub itself was in poor condition and there were hairs in it...I suppose from previous guests. Just have me a weird, unclean vibe for the whole room. The staff were friendly but at that price, I was very disappointed. I would not stay there again.

So, next time, I will not buy the food package. There is coffee in the lobby, but only one carafe--everything is done through their restaurant which is really just like a grab and go Starbucks. There are other places to eat within walking distance: Coaches, Outback Steakhouse and you don't cross any highways--so that's what I'd recommend you do. The star of the stay was the outdoor seating area. It's quiet and peaceful. Plenty of gas grills if you want to cook your own meal--you can walk to a grocery store and DD as well. Very clean and quiet hotel. I'd stay again.

This used to be our go to Hotel on our way through N.C.The rooms are now in need of maintenance , the bath in 2 rooms we stayed in had peeling wall paper and rust in the shower/tub doors. Contacted hotel beginning on 6/22 regarding early check in. Was told to call back around noon the next day (6/23). Was told that early check-in was possible around noon so that we could change our clothes for a funeral at 2:00 p.m. Upon arrival, the desk clerk told us that no early check in at all. I explained to her that we were promised early check in. She wasn’t hearing it. We had to change our clothes in the lobby bathroom and went to the funeral. The experience was really upsetting for my wife who refused to go back to the hotel because of poor service that we received. Had to find another hotel to spend the night. Will never stay at that hotel again

The staff was friendly,. The place was extremely clean, and very comfortable. The food was great as well at the Bistro little bar area. Overall, if I can give it ten stars I would. I was very satisfied.

Hotel was nice. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The lobby had a moldy smell and the ac didnt work very well but overall it wasn't bad just not good for my allergies.

Very nice property. Served it’s purpose. Stopped here on our way to the beach. Dining options in the area are limited. Walkable to the Outback.

Staff nice, amenities nice. But smell of smoking from other rooms into the air shaft and into our room. Walls thin and loud families up all night.

The motel is within a short walk to two restaurants. Parking was easy for us towing a small trailer. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Stopped for one night while traveling. Good location. Restaurants very close by. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff.

Nice enough property overall. Stay was just ok. Blankets, sheets, towels were all threadbare and in need of a refresh.

Also, the breakfast was a 'pay for' breakfast. I went put to a local restaurant for a better selection, of I'm gonna pay.

We've stayed here a few different times now. The hotel has always been clean and affordable. The front desk team was very friendly. Unfortunately we're usually just passing thru, but would like to enjoy the bar and patio sometime, as they look very nice.

Middle of the road, no frills hotel. For $200/night in the boonies with no type of free breakfast or cleaning service during stay, is def a big miss! Disappointing to say the very least!

Nice but no confortable desk and chair to do office work. In this times this a "no good" situation.

No restaurant other than a Starbucks which is pricey. Years ago, Courtyard used to have the best breakfast buffet around! I left hungry!

This property has the best customer service and they are so kind. Dallas is such an asset to the hotel. Always clean and comfy beds. My favorite place to stay around Statesville.
