Upon arrival desk clerk notified me that the elevator was broken, & the only rooms available were on the 3rd floor. He gave us the option to cancel reservation. I canceled & booked at another hotel.

Room was clean, didn’t get to swim weather was bad :(, staff was very friendly smiling and speaking, all kind of restaurants and shopping near.

Honestly, you get what you pay for. It's a decent night's sleep.

The air wasn't on in the room when we checked in which made the room really stuffy. It's May and Texas so you know the rest. We were out Saturday and came back to our room to find it was warm again. I’m not sure if they adjusted the temperature but what we set it to was not what we came back too. The mini refrigerator in our room didn't work at all.The manager replaced it with another that wasn't working great at all. The ice maker was down and here we are with food for the track meet that needed to stay cool. I don't think I would try another Spark again.

Hotel is clean and quiet that I love it. But I didn’t like breakfast. Almost nothing.

The breakfast was decent, and the location is fair and convenient. Rooms are spacious. The cleanliness needs improvement, as the rooms and bed sheets were not properly cleaned.

They should have told us that they was remodeling and when I got there I didn't get my money back and that was not that was unprofessional the way they did that I did not get it cuz I didn't get to go into the place because the place was closed and they should have told everyone that he was a remodeling when people made reservations at the early as they convenience it made it hardship for everyone that was coming in from out of town

When I booked my reservation, there was no mention of the hotel being under renovation. I was not even able to use the elevator and had to go up the stairs with all of my luggage. The TV remote was not even working and it was brought to the attention of the front desk clerk, but nothing was done about it. Was told to check the input on the TV. The issue was more than that and I had to get up and change the channel on the little cable box. The breakfast options were horrendous. The tables were dirty with dust. Even though I’m thankful that I had a place to stay I just wish it was more welcoming, comfortable, and lesser in price due to the renovation at least.

The room was a nice size, clean and serviceable. Coffee pot missing the filter basket so no in-room coffee. Hallway carpet is a disgrace - at least on the 2nd floor - but the room was clean. The room smelled bad when I entered and it was 87°, but the A/C did cool the room which lessened the odor somewhat. Construction underway, so there was debris and dust from that. I have called the advertised phone number no fewer than 6 times and have never had anyone answer, nor have I received a receipt for my stay although have emailed 4 times from two different email addresses. The advertised "hot breakfast" is only hot if you consider having a waffle iron a hot breakfast. I won't stay again - low price is not worth the aggravation.

They advertised a gym area that we were not able to use, their phones were not working the whole time we were there-no one ever answered the phones for any kind of service-there were no water/ice machines available-no laundry services were available and the cleaning staff was just awful! When we attempted to discuss any concerns with staff at the front desk we were dismissed. I was VERY disappointed with this whole experience.

I notified the staff at this location that we entered the room and there were roaches in the room The staffed in told us that they would report it to the owner of the manager and that they would get back with me until this day they have not gotten back with me and it's been almost 2 weeks and I've tried to call several times and still have not received a response I would not received a phone call or anything from this location

Maid service never came. Shower and bathroom had multiple defencies, TV was about to break off its stand. Wall paper coming off clearly from excessive moisture in the rooms. Air exhaust in bathroom didn’t work, shower had soft squishy spot if you step in certain areas, my guess water damage. Overall just a terribly taken care of property. Would not recommend

I liked that the rooms were very spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was also very nice just what you would expect, waffles, bread, yogurt, the usual. This is a very nice place to stay, it is a little outdated though. I checked out the pool and the hot tub and they was very dirty. It has not been maintained in a long time and there were dead bugs. Otherwise a very lovely stay

Garbage hotel seriously - hotels shouldn’t be ad retailing this - worst breakfast - they had block of cream cheese and butter on a same paper plate with butter knife stabbed into it…. People don’t even eat like that at home

The person who checked me in was very nice and the room was fine, until it wasn’t. When I returned to the room at 10 pm the day after check in, there was a puddle of water in front of the mini fridge, and a cricket in the floor which I covered with a cup then headed to the front desk. After standing there for a few minutes I called out for someone. They came out, I explained the situation to which they replied that maintenance had already left so he would have to put me in another room. I asked if we could simply unplug the fridge and throw some towels down to clean up the water and he could just get rid of the cricket for me to which he replied that housekeeping had already left for the day, he would need to put me in another room. I asked why they would be needed and he said to mop up the water. I then said he could give me the towels, I will dry it up and if he could get the cricket out of the room, I would appreciate it. They were confused as to what a cricket was and no, he will have to switch rooms. I repeatedly told him I was checking out the next morning and that he was asking me to pack all my things to switch rooms at now 10:30pm when I was checking out in the morning. Completely unreasonable. Very poor customer service also at checkout after explaining to them. PLUS the property is being remodeled; there are supplies, materials, equipment, closed exit doors, and a green pool that I refused to get in. New management is needed at this location for sure.

Did not stay and working to get a full refund. Checked in and went up to room. Room was dirty and looked like blood on couch. Yellow stains on bed sheets. Very dirty photos do not match to the actual hotel room

The room was air conditioned. Beds were firm. Linens clean. The hotel is being remodeled. Carpet needs to be shampooed and walls fixed. There were a few small roaches seen. Orkin pest control was outside so hopefully the hotel is trying to take care of issue. Cafeteria area was clean. No roaches seen in this area. Breakfast was okay. Waffles. Sausage biscuits. Fruit.

The building is under construction, but aside from that the staff here is amazing. They do have a small breakfast available every morning. It’s very clean with large rooms. The pool is clean and very enjoyable!

They had roaches in the elevator and in my room crawling in all areas with the lights on. I checked out after trying to sleep for a few hours. My daughter and my infant grandchildren didn’t even stay because she didn’t want roaches getting in their diaper bags or crawling on them as they slept. The front desk was absolutely no help. I have been calling since I checked out on July 19th at 6:45am trying to speak to a manager only to be told that he was not in.

Upon my arrival into the room there were signs of construction or remodeling but most of all thier was an odor in the room so I overlooked it but when I came into the restroom thier were roaches, so I went to the front desk so that I could me moved or refunded my w. He changed the room an the second was even worst.

On 7/18/2025 I went to my room 205 i some hair in the bed I brushed it out of the bed. I didn't file a complaint. I prayed for safety about the situation. I sit on the bed trying to put the TV on and it wouldn't come on and they're were 2 remotes i tried both of them constantly tv still wouldn't come on. I used the hotel phone called the front desk several times and no one answered the phone. I'm sitting on the bed trying to get the tv to work again i looked on the bed and I seen some ants. I picked my luggage went down stairs told the desk clerk and showed him the pictures and video with the ants and asked for another room. I informed him that I had been calling the front desk from the room and I asked him if the phone works and could he see me calling and he said no. And said let me see i don't think i have any more rooms available. Then he puts me in room 316. I went in it the TV came on,but no volume i couldn't get the volume to come on. I called the front desk several times again from the room phone one answered the phone. I called from my cellphone and informed the young man about the TV and he told me that he was going to come to the room and check it and if he couldn't get it to work I was going to have to wait for maintenance in the morning and I stayed awake waiting and the young man never came up to the room. I also informed him about down grading my room and he stated no he didn't and I said yes you did,because 205 had a jacuzzi and 316 don't have one. He told me

Hotel was located in an area where there were plenty of restaurants and such nearby. The location was great for what I needed while in the area.

First thing the manager named BK never called us as he promised to discuss the situation and offer a reduced rate. One front desk person said he could not call the manager for us but we had to wait until Monday and speak with him. The refrigerator had a foul smell and we asked for it to be cleaned but we had to clean it ourselves since we had food to store. The next morning we realized the refrigerator was not working and our food spoiled. We ask could we swap the refrigerator from a vacant room and the same front desk person said no yet we spoke to the house keeper and she did it for us. Then the hair dryer did not work. People want you to pay for service yet they at times fail to provide it. We are waiting on your call Mr. BK yet we know it will not happen.

I was supposed to pay at the property but they decided at 11am to try and charge my card. Thank god my bank declined it and flagged them. When we arrived they had cancelled our reservation stating that they couldn’t complete payment which again wasn’t supposed to be charged u til I checked in. They also didn’t have any double queens left so we just left and went to another hotel.

Both rooms had roaches crawling around.. I felt I should have been given money back ordometjing

Room was dirty. Microwave had fingerprints all over it. There was a pair of earrings between the wall and nightstand. The blow dryer had red stains, looked like blood. Luckily I always pack disinfecting wipes and had to wipe everything down ourselves. Not to mention roaches. Just plain disgusting!

Whay i didnt like is, very stained carpet and rooms need to be updated with multiple USB for charging. Just had one and it was away from the bed. Very inconvenient.

I didn't stay at the hotel because the reviews were so bad. I was not going to stay at a hotel that was not represented correctly in pictures issues with car damages and notes of bugs in the hotel. I didn't feel safe staying at the hotel because i couldn't even find a good review. Expedia is a coward because they wouldn't get me my money back.

Starting with check in was more than 20 minutes standing because the front desk was waiting for another staff that was late for work check in guest because he was done for the day , Hotel is under constructions rooms smelled like smoke even though they were non smoking the carpet smelled and the floor was dirty.

The hotel is going through renovations and has very limited staff. Staff was excellent and knew their challenges. This should not have offered to me as an option. I demand refund of my stay.

I didn't like that the toilet kept getting clogged, the people next door were smoking marijuana and smelled a lot, and that there was no shampoo in the bathroom.

Receptionist and room service behavior is too much bad

The room was decent. Bed was comfortable enough, but bring your own pillows! The staff is friendly if you catch them on the counter or phone. There is one young dude he’s a soft talker with a heavy accent so have a pen and paper and a quiet room ready if you call he’s cool though. There was a leak in front of the elevator on the second floor not a deal breaker for me but for someone it’s worth the knowledge.

This hotel is old and run down. Needs to be shut down and remodeled. It was terrible. I guess you get what you pay for.

Very Run Down property and very poor service

This is not a Comfort Suites & Inn, the implies that it is. The location is great, that is why I chose it, but this is also were any positive recommendations stop. This Hotel is quite possibly the filthiest hotel I have ever stayed in, we paid for 2 nights for 2 rooms and left after one night and came home. I seldom post negative reviews but this place needs to be cleaned up.

Roaches/bedbugs/trash in the hallway/sticky stained carpets/cigarette holes in the curtains/water all over the floors/though the clerk was nice was very unknowledgeable about how to reach the manager to cancel and refund my money. Issue still unresolved

The carpets were filthy, the mattress was uncomfortable, the ironing board had no padding, and the breakfast was not stocked well.

Old hotel smells like old. Got a room witj sofa bed and mattress was terrible with no sheets. Ihad to go ask for some sheets down stairs. I was given sheets but they didn't have pillows..so disappointed i put my family through that

I didn't like that we were right by elevator and hearing noise with a lot of traffic. Also, the outside construction being done was right outside our room and so the loud noise and banging made it hard to sleep in.

The property smelled of cigarette smoke in the building and rooms that were supposed to be smoke-free I'm currently still waiting on my refund.

The prices was decent but the place is very run down. Very dirty carpet. We could not get face cloths any of the days we were there. The breakfast was not appealing. The pool area had no chairs and the hot tub was not hot. I would not stay here again.

Property was in need of restoration very badly. Shower was cold and tv didn’t work breakfast was horrible. Many people ended up with flat tires including my son rental car. Services was horrible never gotten are room cleaned!!

The rooms need updating.

The hotel was under construction. Stains on the sofa and bedding. Lamps were flickering off and on. No power to the T.V., there old food was behind the T.V and desk. We had to be moved 3 times to find a decent room and on the third room we just settled because it was 1:00am at that point.

The property manager is letting their staff down not keeping up with this building. First walked in the lobby to a gas smell, stained and unkept carpets, got to the room and the headboard and door had some kind of dried liquid, asked for the janitorial maintenance log and they did not have one . Went and got supplies to clean the room my self. Found roach in the room the morning I left. The staff is great and attentive tho , I had no issues with staff.

The property was under renovation, and notified upon check in room cleaning only done 3 days a week. Sheets were dirty on the bed.

There were no complimentary hand or bath soap inside my room. The property as a whole was pretty dirty.

They didn’t have any working ice machines. I asked the guy at the front desk if they had ice machines. None of them are working. Then he proceeded to tell me there’s a store right down the road that sales bags of ice. Then there were no cups in the rooms to use. The microwave in the room did not work.

The hotel needs a major update. The room was ok not cleaned properly. The carpets are stained throughout the property walls need paint. The parking lot is not kept up. The price is good but the property needs some renovation.

First off the pictures are extremely misleading they did not show the true story of how unclean this hotel is. I appreciate the hotel’s efforts to allow me to cancel one of my nights as me and my wife were slated to stay 2 nights. The individual working the front desk was very friendly and helpful. But I will by no means recommend this hotel for anyone to stay.

We have stayed in this property before, but it is hard to recognize now. Maintenance of the property is terrible at best. Water faucet handle comes off the tub. Television in the room doesn't work. In-room coffee won't work as the maker doesn't have a grinds tray. Bad part is we came in late Friday night, so we relayed this all to the desk Saturday morning. We get back Saturday night and nothing has been addressed. We won't stay at this property again.

Hotel was undergoing remodeling since it is old. Furniture is extremely old and worn out. AC was not cold, bath tub stained because of age, small roaches in bathroom and dirty water poured out at first, carpets old and stained. No ice available.

This hotel needs to be remodel the breakfast area you did not have any condiments no butter,no jelly, and they only want you to eat in the breakfast area they don't have a late checkout if you want a late check out you have to pay $35. The elevator broke while we were there.They didn't have any small towels you had to use big towels to take a bath.and the girl that was at the counter never knew what you were talking about everytime you ask her something she look at you like she is confused.The lock on bedroom door was not secure

Location was ok Looks nice online got there had nuthing but problems like electrical outlets dident work had to be moved to another room then that room had no drain stopper for tub and the faucet was coming off the wall. Also the elevator broke down some of the time. Also the continental breakfast was not a good one. So all in all not a very good place to stay.
