AC Hotel St. Petersburg Downtown

We love staying at this hotel anytime we’re in St. Petersburg. The location is great - close to all the restaurants, shops, etc….

Amazing stay. Very pleased with the hotel and staff.

The hotel was very clean, friendly staff and great amenities. You do have to pay for breakfast and the parking garage but the rooms were great and large for hotel rooms.

Additionally, the only parking option available is valet at $42 plus tax. When I asked the front desk about alternative 24-hour parking nearby, I was told they were unaware of any, which was unhelpful. I also want to raise a concern regarding my experience at the front desk. The staff member (bald with glasses) has not been greeting or acknowledging guests of color, including myself, when entering the property. This behavior felt dismissive and concerning.

We had a great stay! The property is in a great location. Walking distance to the pier and restaurants and bars. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and our room was very clean and comfortable. We would absolutely stay there again.

My experience here was great. Everything was easily within walking distance. The room was clean and staff were friendly and professional. The only negative is valet parking. It’s too costly but other self-parking options were available at a fraction of the cost. I’d advise future visitors to skip the valet and self-park.

Great hotel, even better staff. We had a small hiccup in the beginning when I checked in. I paid in full when I booked, when I was paying a refundable fee of $100 the computer accidentally charged me $679 (which was the total of 2 nights that I paid already) Bethany who is the manager took the matter in her hands and called my bank to void it asap and within 30 minutes of that incident I had my money back in my account. Awesome staff. Hotel was clean, pool was great. Breakfast menu was really good. Will definitely be back

Great location. Nice property. Very convenient to enjoy Downtown St Pete in a clean and modern Hotel.

Our room was exceptionally clean. People at check-in were very friendly. Had a problem with the television they sent someone up immediately. The location for downtown St. Petersburg was wonderful. The guys who did ballet Parking works exceptionally nice and understanding. We would stay here again I highly recommend it.

Check in was easy and quick. Questions were answered knowledgeably. Our room was very nice. Breakfast was chaotic with only few places to sit and small selection of food. The hotel's location is great, near restaurants and close to the pier.

They could have done better with some of the maintenance detail: empty the trash in the room when you service it, leave toilet paper, maybe a few extra towels. The valet service took longer than expected. Overall it was a good hotel, but seemed like it was set up for business travelers more than families.

The room was spacious and clean and the bathroom was roomy with a great shower. The location was the best. Just a short walk to everything; amazing restaurants, the art festival, farmers market and the pier. We had a wonderful long weekend in downtown St. Petersburg.

The main downside is the noise level. Street noise, sound from the bar above, and noise from neighboring rooms all carried through more than expected, which made it hard to fully relax. Great spot if location and comfort are priorities—just something to keep in mind if you’re a light sleeper.

Good location. Lobby is way nicer than the rooms — kinda smelled musty in hallways. Breakfast we purchased was okay nothing special. Crane and barrel was great for drinks with friends! Sam makes a great espresso martini.

There was an issue with our room and a roof leak. The staff gave us the option to rebook elsewhere or reduce the rate. They were super apologetic and incredibly responsive to our needs. We opted to stay and while we got a heavy rain for about an hour and there was a leak. All the staff were attentive, apologetic and helpful and kept thanking us for our understanding. Way to handle a situation! Well done! Nothing really.

Breakfast options were mediocre. Initial room we received was dirty and hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guests left. The front desk reassigned us to a new room.

Wait times were so long. It took 20 minutes to check in and then my room had issues (sink wasn't working, was damp and kind of smelly).

The location was great. I liked the security of the building. Key cards needed after hours and to utilize the elevators. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and the pillows sucked. No continental breakfast. Water pressure and hardness were terrible.

The location was great but that was the only good thing about the hotel Our room was exceptionally dark. We had very little natural light because the room faced a high rise building that was roughly 40' away. In the room, the lighting was also very dim. When we woke up, we could not tell if it was sunny or cloudy because the adjacent hi-rise blocked any view of the sky above. There was no private outdoor space at all. Can't remember if that was mentioned on the booking site. The in-room amenities were on the light side. There were shampoo, conditioner and soap in the shower. The only other amenities included a bar of soap and a very small bottle of lotion. Earplugs were provided. There was a mini-fridge and a safe. In-room hot beverages included decaf and regular coffee. The tea selection was limited to Earl Grey & Decaf English Breakfast. I drink tea in the morning and don't expect it to be caffeine free. The pool was cold and mostly shaded by the hi-rises surrounding the hotel which is only 8 floors. The common area in the lobby was bleak. I was certain that I saw a really cool picture on the booking website that showed a nice common space. Super disappointed. Have stayed at other Bonvoy Marriot properties and had very good experiences.

We had some initial difficulties getting into a suitable room as there was garbage dumped outside our initial room by the condominium property next door to the hotel. The manager was able to get us into a much better, spacious, and clean room. There was some noise due to the hotel's proximity to bars/clubs in the area, but was not terrible. The pool is beautiful and the gym is brand new with great equipment. The breakfast is also amazing!

Excellent property and staff, however I wasn't aware they would not allow a F250 to park onsite. There was availability not inside the parking garage which had a height restriction. Would have been good to know that.

This was the perfect place to stay in St. Pete. The hotel and rooms were modern, clean and beautiful. Staff could not have been better! The breakfast buffet was wonderful. This hotel has everything you could want and much much more!

The location is what we came for. We wanted to be right downtown near the Pier. The hotel is nice and the breakfast was good. Wait staff at breakfast was very pleasant and attentive. Issues with staff not understanding what they were doing, causing me to be charged twice and told I had to resolve on my own. I had to insist that I shouldn't have to look into their error before they finally took a closer look and realized an employee error. Someone in the valet crew helped themselves to what they wanted in my truck. When I called to report the theft after check out, no resolution was offered outside of a promise of a call from valet management.

This hotel is on a thoroughfare of restaurants and bars that are lively at night, but our room on the second floor was perfectly quiet. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The service was excellent, we arrived at 11pm and check in was super fast!

The staff was amazing, especially those at the check in desk! We appreciated the welcome champagne glass, and the pet friendly-ness of this location. There was a pet drinking fountain just inside the lobby, fresh made cookies on a table, our pets were welcome upstairs on the balcony and the live music was fun. Food on the rooftop was delicious. Hotel room was spacious and clean! Absolutely loved our stay and have already recommended to a few dog-owner friends. There were no on-site pet relief areas, however there is a huge shaded park about a 5 minute walk away. There were A LOT of homeless people at the park, and a few approached my mom and I while walking our dogs there. They were friendly and we were not overly bothered, however I might be nervous walking there in evening hours (especially if i was alone).

Everything was great until checkout time. Checkout time is 11am. Housekeeping starts knocking at 9 and continues to knock every half hour. At 11:09 as I'm about to leave, the front desk calls. Instead of asking if Im staying the lady says "11:00 is checkout time, you should be out by now." It was very curt. I make it to valet and had them my ticket and give them my name. The valet then asks for my name 4x and after 6 people got there cars, all who were in line behind me, my car finally arrives. No help was offered to load the car. Maybe it was because I was a single traveler? Check in was fantastic. I ate at the flooding restaurant. Just went down hill when it was time to go.

The shower was also not as clean as it could be due to dirty floors. Otherwise everyone was really nice and the pool was a cool treat.

Very modern, clean and great location The restaurant says it closes at 10 but really you can’t even order by 9:30pm. Too early for a lively hotel for food to close that early. Valet was a bit pricey, but they were on it and friendly.

I did not mind this hotel, I like the location,but I hated the bathroom door! the door is a sliding barn door and when someone comes in the hotel room door, even if the bathroom door is closed they can see the person inside doing their business, this happened on this trip and was very uncomfortable.

Also, the hotel construction was shoddy. A book fell off the wall in the bathroom, the shower wasn’t really hot. We were only there one night, so we could overlook it, but won’t be back.

Our Anniversary celebration at AC Marriott was amazing. The staff welcomed us and upgraded our suite to such a lovely room. The hotel is extremely convenient, perfectly located, and super clean. We loved the pool/cabana area. Parking was simple, customer service was great and the room itself was great. We will return to AC Marriott during our next stay at St. Pete's. Thank you.

Also, I booked the executive studio with the door separation as per the pictures (since the kid sleeps early) and turns out it was a mistake from their side, this wasn't the room I booked so it was a bit of disappointment. The manager offered to cover the parking at least. No self parking, valet only.

Clean rooms, comfortable beds. We only stayed one night so cannot comment on cleaning staff etc but the stay was excellent.

Fantastic stay for a sold out weekend. Worth it. Parking, hot fresh cookies and champagne at checkin, lobby bar with great happy hour. Rooftop bar and Cuban eats. Great hotel

This is the possibly the nicest hotel’s in downtown St Petersburg. It is conveniently located near everything. This hotel is in prestigious shape and has all the nice amenities. Definitely will be my go to when I go back to St Petersburg.

Very nice stay. Our room was turned down every day which was excellent. The hotel itself was very clean and comfortable. We can’t wait to stay again next year.

I thought the prices where very high, this is not a high end hotel by any means small very clean and nice room but still very small two folks seem right on top of each other. Staff was very helpful and personal. Top grades there.

I canceled my reservation right after I booked it realizing it was for the wrong day. Hotel was booked so I did not stay. I was looking for a refund

GREAT location, lots to do within easy walking distance. Staff was very nice, helpful and accomodating.

The hotel was a perfect location. We had tickets for a concert at Jannus Live and it was a short walk away. The staff was very nice . The room was clean and quiet and the bed was comfortable. We will stay here again when visiting our friends in St Pete.

Stay was awesome. Only recommendation I would have is to not stay on the 7th floor. It is very noisy at night due to the rooftop bar. Also, shower did not got as hot as expected for it to be brand new. I definitely would stay again due to the prime location and being close to everything in relativity. Also staff could be a little more friendly.

It was a great stay!

The rooms are very nice as is the staff. Excellent location. The only thing to be aware of is the evening music from the 8th floor bar. It goes until 11:30pm. If you get a room on the 7th floor, make sure it isn't under the bar area or you're not planning on going to bed before 11:30pm.

This hotel is the heart of St Pete. It was so easy to get around. Staff was so nice and the room was nice and clean.

valet took on two separate occasions 15 minutes or 30 minutes to get my car. I asked three times for the room to be clean because the first time I was still in the shower. You’re getting home that evening about 10 o’clock. I had to call down for towels so those two things were annoying. Find me for $400 a night room. It’s not what I expected.

The stay was wonderful. The front desk lady was sooo nice, she made my birthday even more special, I wish I remembered her name!

The bartender was rude and unprofessional. Him and the other person behind the bar made me feel unwelcome.

Great location downtown, near the Pier, and public transportation! Nice location, friendly staff... beds are less comfortable.

We had a room opposite the only music venue in town.

This hotel is in a great location in St Petersburg. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. The breakfast was meh, so we went elsewhere the following day for breakfast. I think charging $39 for parking and $10 for a bottle of water was excessive.

Two things kept this from being a 5-star review. One, the toilet seat was loose and I couldn't fix it. Two, the bathroom door is opaque glass and light fills the room for the other person trying to sleep through middle-of-the-night potty breaks.

Well toilet was dirty when we got there. Also I think you should list that they charge 40 dollars for parking unless you park across the street which is 20 dollars a day

Great hotel located in the heart of downtown St. Pete! Close to everything! Front desk was very professional and had a very nice time at the rooftop bar and restaurant! Very nice and accommodating staff, bartender and server were very professional! Will definitely be back to enjoy.

Beautiful hotel comfortable beds nice bathrooms nice bar and food the staff are very hospitable very nice ambiance when walking in smells nice and the tv greeets you by name when it's turned on...loved the vibe definitely will be back for another stay!!!

AC hotel is located in a great area with close parking. Staff is friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and the overall vibe of the hotel is bustling.

The valet treats you like trash and thinks it’s funny then plays stupid, he literally said “what’s a parking deck?”
