The staff and check in process were fantastic. Our room was tidy but smelled like wet dogs.

Overall good stay, only small complaint is they don't have easily accessible water.

Location was easy for us to be near family in Annandale, VA. Check-in smooth; room convenient on the 1st floor. It was what I hoped for at this hotel 'level'. Room was large and opened to the courtyard, if wanted and easy temperature control. We did not use any amenities; there is no included breakfast and we went to a WholeFoods Market a 4 minute drive away for breakfast/coffee and goodies for the rest of our day in the area.

The location The A/C didn’t properly cool down the room or the building it was hot the entire time, the pool has WAY too much chlorine in it, the elevators are old and about to break down, toilet was already clogged when we got there, no microwave in the room.

Can't believe that hotel. Com would stand behind such establishment . I ordered a room handicap ♿️ accessible. I was stuck down between my chair and their bed calling the front desk, sales office, housekeeping, and reservations. The phone rung for hours w/o an answer.

Old, dated hotel. They charge for parking when no one else does. Nothing "included" when every other hotel actually provides things. Kids running through the halls from 10pm to Midnight and knocking on doors. Staff does not answer calls to the desk. Find another location, you won't know it, but you'll have less stress by not staying here.

The front desk staff were very nice, but I couldn't get them on the phone ever. Showers were not good. Water changed temp and now pressure. Everything else was great.

This hotel has government aid families living there and they do not trust the property with care. They are Loud and spill stuff everywhere. I think you should disclose when properties have section 8 housing on property. They charged us for parking the water was not warm to take a shower and was ice cold. I would like a refund.

Very clean room, the staff were all so very attentive, pleasant, and polite, the front desk guy even waved the 20 security deposit cuz it never said anything while booking this company online and I had no money my friend had helped me pay for a room knowing im bouncing place to place right now for to medical emergency. There was enem a lifeguard on duty she was also extremely happy to assist me on anyway she even opens the door for me when the cars didn't work. The only complaint I have is there's no vending machines all the drinks overpriced, this whole idea of having a 20 security fee even after I put no help with coverage for safety and that was only 11 bucks so to find out I had to pay 20 even after I said no do they do that to the people who decline protection or just all of us get it. But whoever that guy was at my location. Just know your kindness didn't go unnoticed and as soon as I'm able to bring you 20 bucks to get you baby for the nice things u did I will I promise. I don't promise unless I plan on keeping it. So I give the place between 3-4 stars pretty good in my book

Looks are deceiving. It is not well kept like the pictures. Staff did not clean rooms thoroughly nor did they give us clean towels or make beds. We found holes in linen to include the shower curtains. The pool never opened even when we were told it would be.

Was interrupted twice after check in one by customer one by staff. Reason was they hadn’t properly checked us in. The air conditioners/heater is a joke too loud to sleep. Not impressed at all.

The hotel was clean and conveniently located near shops, and the front desk staff were courteous and welcoming.

No free breakfast. Breakfast food wasn't fresh and service was painfully slow. We couldn't stand eating there after the first day. Internet was an annoying labyrinth of creating accounts and advertising baloney, to get any access at all. Frustrating.

They did not clean the room after first day. The bath towels were wet to use for second day. They did not give a water also in room to use coffee maker. They did not even refill the decaf pouch for second day. . The key was not working on my rentun on second day in the night for no reason. Kids were sleeping I made them wait near the door for 5 min to come back to lobby and correct key. The hotel was good ..neat..no issue with that ..but these above service is not accepted for the Marriott standard . I am disappointed first time with Marriott .

We didn’t eat here because we didn’t know they stopped serving at 9am. The sign in the elevator said all day but that wasn’t true. The guy that checked us in barely spoke and didn’t greet us but the young lady that checked us out was super helpful and very nice.

The location is close to Metro, mall, and food locations. Pool was "broke" no notification - main reason for our multiple parties booking here. Strange how when a large school tour group checked out pool was fixed- but freezing. Fire alarm for a "malfunction" at 6 am with a complete hotel evacuation, asked for our 4 parties to be close to each other - we were on separate floors far apart, lobby restaurant closed early at night, and mid mornings. Multiple times had to go ask for towels as they don't clean room or take garbage out for longer stays- even when asked, had to ask for light bulb for bedside not working, calling front desk for assistance phone just rings and rings and rings. Go down to front desk no one is around. Had to go ask for sheets to put on couch bed, Fire alarm in room beeping - asked for it to be fixed - was not fixed first day - no one avail at front - had to listen to it all night, finally fixed late 2nd day. Front desk associates were friendly, but had limited skills to fix/correct errors as "they can check in and out but talk to a manager during business hours mon-fri" Was charged an extra night AFTER I checked out. Multiple complaints about kids screaming running halls. Police were there for barricaded individual in a room, and then another domestic argument at 2am in the hall next night - called front desk and no one there. Overall was a miserable stay with no reimbursement, no point offerings, all I received was an "I'm sorry, please come again". That will not be happening.

Awful service. The room had a bad smell & they did nothing about it saying it’s because the AC hasn’t been running prior to check in. I requested an extra towel and they never brought it to my room. I’m expecting someone to reach out to me about this experience

It was nicely located so many shopping, entertainment and food options nearby. I only stayed for one night not wanting to drive back home after the spa. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. They asked me what floor I preferred that was so thoughtful. Mini fridge was a plus for my waters. N/A

Nothing We booked this hotel because it has a spa and pool. But when we arrived they told us it’s only open on the weekends which was not mentioned at the time of booking. After driving 13hours and because once booked it wasn’t refundable so we had no other choice than to stay. It is a shameful way of doing business. The hotel decor including the room is basic and depressing

The room was overall clean but the sheets/comforter on the bed obviously were mildewed and smelled like someone forgot to take it out of the washer. In time. It wasn’t great for trying to get to sleep. The front desk concierge was ok, he did his job. He was having a full on conversation with another person the entire time he checked me in but checked me in and told me where the elevators were so that’s good.

The rooms are perfect, comfortable, sensibly laid out, quiet, bed comfortable, very clean. My only beef with the hotel was (no pun intended) the food.. or lack of it. If you get in late, and don't wake up on time, there is not only no breakfast (OK).. but NO COFFEE. And even when it's available, you have to purchase it at the bar. At a hotel of this caliber, I shouldn't be told I have to drive down the street to Dunkin Donuts when I come downstairs for a morning pick me up...

They left us only one coffee pod and didn’t clean/renew every day. On Thursday, they were late in setting up coffee in lobby. Jacuzzi could be hotter. Never ate breakfast there. Brought our own.

Poor accommodations. Over charged for unannounced fees for parking, pet fees for an old unkept building needing multiple repairs and renovations. Cleaning staff repeatedly knocked on the door prior to checkout at 12 noon. Front desk staff did not seem happy with the hotel community based on his remarks at check-in.

I was there for an athletic competition. I went down Saturday morning at 6a for breakfast (because we had to be at our event by 7a) only to find out that breakfast didn't start til 7a. Nice staff and property. Great proximity to shopping and conveniences helpful to travel (such as a T target for miscellaneous items and a UPS Store for shipping).

The water was shut off during my visit, there was food on the elevator floor , the bed was dirty , and they also were doing construction . It was disappointing and disgusting. Also , the pool area was disgusting there were no towels the floor was soaking wet in a dangerous way around the pool.

For the relatively low cost, this property exceeded my expectations. Easy check in, clean & quiet room with a king bed, Starbucks coffee at the breakfast counter, ~10 min drive from Shirlington, and ~20-30 mins to DC made this a convenient stay. Would happily stay again when I come to DC.

Water marks on the ceiling in our room. Overall room was disappointing for a Marriott hotel.

My major concern..only one microwave to service a 300 room hotel.. It was very small, dirty, horrible location, didn’t work properly, Marriott needs to address this serious issue with urgency, it’s totally unacceptable and Marriott needs to do much better.

The gentleman that checked us in was very unfriendly. We felt like a bother. My sister’s room had an awful mildew smell coupled with a smell that suggested maybe the previous guests were smoking in the room. When we went to report this to get the room changed. There was no apology and he almost threw new keys back at her and said “if this one is better bring the old keys back” The breakfast and evening dining staff was amazing. And the food was really good. The first morning we were told we had to pay for breakfast, when we were told at check in the stay included breakfast. When we went the second morning just to ask again, the girl at the front desk took our room number and gave us vouchers. The previous agent didn’t bother to check our room. The experience was okay- the pool was small but well maintained. And the dining experience was a 10/10. There is Starbucks coffee on property. Front desk staff is unfriendly but all in all not a horrible stay. If we’re ever in the area again we would consider another hotel for sure.

This is a great hotel to stay. Regrettably other guests were making noise late into the evening and morning. The staff are friendly and went out of their way to help us get services we wanted.

Paying for parking is a new experience. Other Marriott properties have never charged for parking. The breakfast in the lobby, while not complimentary, was very well done and presented nicely. Apparently the military make use of the hotel to billet service members, and their breakfasts are free, which we appreciate.

While the stay was comfortable. It was unfortunate that when we arrived we found the toilet not cleaned, and condoms in the trash can. Thankfully me and my guest arrived together or that could've caused an unwelcome disturbance. In the future, remember ensuring cleanliness is important.

The front desk attendant was nice & accommodating. However when we got to our room we discovered they gave us the wrong room type. We didn’t say anything which is on us but it was so late that I just wanted to sleep. Sleeping in a queen when I expected a queen wasn’t great. The room was also not in the best state. The door looked like it had been broken into at some point and a new handle had been put on.

Very quiet location

The nicest hotel in that part of Springfield. Lobby was inviting....room was clean and comfortable.

The staff was reasonably friendly, but the room was not cleaned well and the linens and toiletries were pretty much awful.

Check-in and check-out was incredibly easy and fast. There seemed to be some type of convention going on when we arrived but that didn’t affect the service we were given in the least. Excellent location (right across from Springfield Mall) and excellent staff. We will be back.

Just too noisy for me. Not the fault of the property but kids softball teams running and yelling in the halls all hours kept me awake.

Very clean property with friendly service.

My only complaint was the paper thin walls. I felt like I was part of the neighbor's room. Unfortunately they had young children and teenage children in the room. They were so loud at unappreciated times of the day.

It has a ( not ours) women’s bra hanging in bathroom . When u used the phone in the room the button for front desk did not work .

A continental breakfast would have nice for everyday

Desk staff was mix of affable & surley. Early checkin was nice. Confusion regarding breakfast service and personnel shortage on first day made for a horrible impression & frustration. No supervision or management on premises to be found when over 200 guests wanted to eat. Horrible Starbucks service. Breakfast during following three days was ok, but still confusion. Fitness center nice touch. No closet doors in room?

Every thing was nice the only thing I had a problem with was that the sink was clogged and thank God none of my guests had to use the restroom room because you had to flush at least 3 times before anything went down.

I visit once a year to visit family in the area and always choose this hotel. We have a pool morning with the kids, the staff is soooo friendly and we can usually check in early and there is a peloton.

The environment was great. Room was clean and comfortable. The common area was overrun with a sports team which made it difficult to access.

This is our second time staying at the hotel. It’s clean and in a great location. However, this time around, we stayed on the second floor and we were able to hear the bar crowd. Not sure if there was an event or if that’s the normal volume. The first time I stayed here we were on a higher floor. So, if we stay here again we will definitely request a room on a higher floor.

Very nice rooms

My double room was changed to a king and it was a big inconvenience for my trip. I was told that I would get the room I reserved the next morning and when I called they said they didn’t have the room available so we have to squeeze in on room.

Farther away from DC but staff was wonderful, rooms were very nice.

Very convenient. Stayed here for a convention at the Gaylord.

Best hotel I ever stayed at in northern Virginia. Superb service.

They didn’t give me the room I paid for, that had a balcony. There was 2 options and both showed were standard rooms but difference was price and photos of the room. One was a window which I didn’t pick and the other was with balcony, the one I picked. Guy at reception had excuses and said the site I used, Expedia was the problem. Felt like they gave my room away or excuses to not give me the room I paid for. I have pics to show the difference in price and the room pics
