The furnishings in our room were shabby, the top surfaces on a table and dresser were damaged, the dresser was missing a handle on one of the drawers, and there were ants on the sink. The sink had no counter space for any of our toiletries or toothbrushes. The hide a bed was very uncomfortable. Parking lot was full, even though we paid for parking. The breakfast was the worst we have seen on our trip. The room was nothing like the photos that were shown on Hotels.com, and the 7.6 rating was waaaay too high. I would give it a 5, Poor. We left 2 days early, even though the paid for room was non-refundable.

There is no space for parking, there is a fee for daily parking but is noy guarantee that you’ll find a space, so I had to park on the street every night. The staff is very helpful, 3rd floor had a ALL day noise next to the elevator, the free beakfast was ok, just I wish they had more fruits or other options to eat, but in general is a good Hotel to stay due to proximity of the airport and has Free shuttle!!

Airport shuttle is a plus. Room was a fancy motel 6 but clean & quiet and a good price for an expensive city. Staff was miserable. There was a long line to check in & one attendant. Finally after standing to check in for 20 min. A second employee arrived. Unfortunately the line was gone. Could have used her a little earlier. The woman that checked me in spoke in a whisper. I could not make out what she was saying-And never mentioned breakfast or any amenities . Just handed me the key- didn't even tell me where the room was

Pulling up i was skeptical. The place looked a little run down outside and parking was horrible. Don't judge a book by it's cover. Other than that the interior was clean and cozy and the staff was all polite and hospitable. There was no noise issues. The beds were super comfy. I will definitely stay there again. The shuttle wasn't bad either. Like I said I loved everything but the parking.

Breakfast was ok. The waffles were rock hard, but there was bagels and cereal and bananas. I had to pay extra for the refrigerator in the room and parking (but ALL the hotel/motels in that area charge for parking), but it was cheap and it was a room in San Francisco. Good water pressure, clean towels, nice staff. I was there for the beach and the sites, not the room. Perfectly suitable if you are looking for a cheap room in the Bay. I gave it 3 stars because it's a solid 3 star hotel.

Hotel was clean and breakfast had the basic food available but hotel parking was not available and we had to park on the side of the street and walk to the hotel at night. Check in worker was unable to help with finding us a place to park.

Small bathroom, if you are claustrophobic. Nice staff. Breakfast was simple carb friendly. Toast, waffle cereal, juice. Which is fine for on the go.

Staff were polite and courteous. The airport shuttle is a very helpful amenity, but beware that it runs only once every 30 minutes. The room was clean, but had a very "motel" feel to it. Breakfast wasn't spectacular, but did the job. Our room felt a little cramped for two, but for a solo traveller this would be perfect. Overall, a solid choice if you're looking for a place to crash on a budget.

Parking cost $15/ night. The lot needs to be replaced. You're parking next to two power towers. The lot is always full. You're next to a busy intersection. The breakfast wouldn't be too bad if guest weren't sneezing and blowing their nose next to the food area. Bagel, pre-made waffles, coffee. Door to rooms stick. Meaning hard to open with card. My room had a musty smell. The bathroom sink literally sat next to your room door and had no space to even place the hair dryer. The laminate floors had 'stuff' stuck to it. Glad I brought my own slippers. Baseboards along room were sticky. The bathroom door had water damage. Walls had marks of 'stuff along the rooms and bathroom. Shower handle was loose and hard to turn on. Closet had a spring loaded rod. No desk or table. Recliner was light weight so it moved when you sat and the chair had a small table attached to it. The air conditioning unit had tape to protect it. Guest actually lived there in rooms week to week. No issues about that because you live where you can than on the street with your kids, but the noise level in the halls would wake me up all through the night. There is no housekeeping except the mornings to clean room. If you need garbage picked up in evenings, no one will come. Unfortunately, I had to stay 4 nights for work. Will NEVER stay there again.

The hotel had everything I needed, but there's still room for improvement.

We usually stay here when flying into SFO. It's close to the airport, reasonably priced rooms, has a good breakfast and there is a shuttle. However, something to know about the shuttle. It does not run in the afternoons . If you arrive then, you have to wait around until 5:00 or take a taxi or uber. Although this is a modest hotel with simple rooms, it meets our needs and we will stay there again on our next trip.

It can be a noisy area with being by the airport but all the hotels are exposed to the noise. But the hotel itself is very quiet. I was able to work without disruption and our pets were very comfortable here. It was very affordable for our needs and the staff was very nice. It is super close to everything too.

Property was good, great place for a last minute stay. Double bed is cheaper than a single bed surprisingly. Only thing that I didn’t like was the airplay receiver that the room had did not work with the TV and there was no way to connect it to the TV. Also, the lady who helped me check in, was ok but she needs to improve a bit on her customer service skills.

Very reasonably priced but keep in mind that parking is an additional 16 dollars per day . Nevertheless, overall very good value .

Our room was surprisingly quiet compared to some higher end hotels. It was uncomfortably old and it didn’t have any amenities in the room that we would have expected in regular room like a microwave or refrigerator. The charge for a pet was way too much for the quality of the room.

Too bad some customers who spend the night can’t be considerate and not slam doors in the middle of the night.

The rooms were clean and adequate, beds were incredibly comfortable, and there was plenty of parking available. The facility was a little dated and the 'breakfast' options left a lot to be desired (it was pretty much just bread and cold cereal). Location and price were unbeatable though and the staff were friendly and helpful.

This is an excellent choice for staying near the airport. Liked the shuttle service and the breakfast hit the spot! As a disconcerting traveler; when I need to stay near the airport when flying in/out this will be my first choice.

L'hôtel FOCUS est bien très bien situé au point de vue restaurant POPEYES est juste à côté. A mon prochain voyage, je n'hésiterais pas à revoir cet hôtel.

The TV worked well and the bathroom amenities were sufficient for a short stay. That said, parts of the property do feel a little rundown and could use some updating. Overall, the area felt safe and the staff were friendly, which made the stay comfortable enough for what we needed.

Only stayed for one night due to an overnight layover. Decent rooms for an affordable price. Includes a shuttle service which was very convenient, just make sure to check their shuttle schedule prior as they are not 24/7. Overall, good experience.

I love the place one thing I like about that place. They serve the breakfast place was nice and clean. You can bring your family.

The sheets were clean. The hotel is very very run down. There is one shuttle that runs once an hour. No pool or exercise room. The breakfast is very basic. The air conditioner in our first room was broken. Worked great in the second room. The tv did not work, though. Nor did the bathroom fan. If the price for this hotel is much better than others and you really just need a bed then go for it. Otherwise, it's kind of a dump and I would go somewhere else.

Breakfast was just a whole lot of different breads with jam, jelly, cream cheese. No variety of anything else.

It was very accommodating to our late check out as we had a really late flight at an affordable price. The room was neatly clean & wish it had a second chair but not a negative. Very receptive to my additional pillow request. The free breakfast was reasonable & quite filling. Again, not picky. I didn’t use parking so not sure.

Parking is terrible. It's always packed if you don't get there before 8pm. Room is cleaned under request. Hallways are always dirty and the rug is from 1987. Staff doesn't care about anything, they're not helpful nor nice at all. The only helpful and nice person was Anita (clerk). Paid US$1.2K due to the season, but it's not worth half of it.

We were charge $177 for the room. It was a very bad experience…. we had room smelled like animals, furniture in room was in terrible condition. Please see attached pix of the room. We deserve to have a refund for our stay.

We were given a room on the first floor where they allow pets. When I entered the room, the smell of animals was evident. The room is in horrible condition, the hair dryer is not working, the water control knob on the bathtub is falling off, the side chair in the room has the fabric falling/peeling off, bedside lamp is not working, the bottom inside bathroom door is filthy and coming apart, the floor behind the bathroom door is filthy, knob missing on dresser. We were told when we booked the room that there was a conversation in town and there was no other rooms available.. We are totally unsatisfied with this room and the hotel…we have pictures of the room if needed…we tried but were unable to attach pictures of the room. If you could provide me with an email address I can forward you the pictures of the room….thank you.

This place is one of my favorites; I have used it several times. The entire staff is very friendly and efficient. The facility is nice and has everything you need. I highly recommend it; it is close to restaurants, shops, and gas stations, and offers very easy access to the freeway.

The room was very well appointed, it is close to the airport and offers a shuttle and breakfast was included. The staff was kind and professional. I loved the Kuerig machine in my room! Good coffee is everything! The upholstery in the lobby and carpets could use cleaning.

Place is decent for the price! The stopper on my tub didnt work :( so was bummed i couldnt take a bath - and they could use some variety in the breakfast (no protein, yogurt or apples) just bananas, cereal, toast and already made waffles. But for $100 cant be too picky!! TY

Did not have breakfast. The cost of doing one small load of laundry was quie expensive. ($12). The drying mode was only 30- minutes and it did not dry my small load. I had to do a second drying cycle. Not many options for the breakfast. Definitely could be improved.

Shuttle service was great except for the non service from lunch until 520pm. It should start when check in starts at 3pm.

It is a very old hotel. You don't find fridge the floor and the chairs are not very clean. The bathroom is not up to the mark. On top of it the parking is not free. Very confusing in the description. I would not recommend for this. If you are staying for more then a day.

I wanted a Queen bed, but received a Full size bed. Garbage was not emptied for 3 days. Used towels were not replaced. Had to go get fresh towels from front desk every night. Parking should be free for hotel guests.

We had a early flight, no shuttle offered even though advertised free shuttle anytime. Room was on 1st floor and easy to get to from inside with key but just as easy to get in though window with out key. Slept with one eye open. No bible🙏🙏

For us it was a convenient stopover after a flight from Taipei and before continuing on to Washington, DC. The hotel is a bit worn with tape used to repair the carpet in the hallway and other sighns of wear.

They charge extra for parking. I spent over $500 for three nights, and they would not give me a parking space. The continental breakfast is just toast and quarter'd waffle triangles. No hot food. There was cold cereal, but the milk was practically see-thru in the 2-gallon dispenser. This place is only a small improvement when compared to sleeping in your car. I will never go back.

I wish the room had been cleaner and in better repair. Unfortunately the hotel shuttle did not run at the time that we needed it, so we had to schedule an Uber.

The room was clean, there was a respectable breakfast spread, although no protein to speak of. The receptionist was a little dry, but professional and efficient. It’s an older property with some damage but the location and price, and specifically the cost for parking, make this one of my favorite places to stay when I’m visiting the Bay Area.

Clean, close to airport, shuttle in time. Nice hotel to stay for one - two nights. Also, breakfast is available and free. I stayed because of early flight from SFO. Was staying for a couple of times, maybe more to be able to be in airport in time and bit the traffic from east bay early morning.

Rough place. Stain on the wall. Not too clean. It’s about what we were expecting. Didn’t have a lot of options in SFO for the night. A lot of full hotels this night. Online pictures didnt resemble what we were provided by any stretch of the imagination, but if they did, I don’t think many would reserve a room.

The only thing that I didn't like about this hotel was I stayed at several in the area for some reason this one charges you for parking I thought that was very cheap and underhanded after they're already charging you way above the going rate for the area

We booked for 2 nights and it wasn’t the best experience. I noticed the other windows in other rooms were roller shades and ours looked like an outdated brown curtain cloth, which gave me an impression that we were put in one of the older rooms. Furnitures had chipped paints; bed had a lot of wrinkles that made it look unkept; and ironing board had a lot of stains. We can hear the noise from the hallways even with the TV on. We had to wait for the elevator for almost 10 minutes upon our check out because apparently, it takes a while to stop to 2nd floor (we were coming from the 3rd floor and had to keep waiting because the housekeeper needed to go to the 2nd floor with her cart and we wouldn’t be able to fit in the elevator). We liked that the hotel offers free breakfast though.

The front desk staff was polite and tried to be helpful, but when I asked about a refund after moving rooms for the second time, I was told management would need to decide, and I wouldn’t get an answer for at least 24 hours. Unfortunately, I was only staying one night and needed a clean, functional room to sleep and shower. Although the location was convenient for my needs, the overall experience was stressful and uncomfortable. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it to others.

My partner and I stayed here for two days for an event nearby. It wasn’t the best, but it wasn’t the worst either. The area around the property is quite dark and shady, but the hotel doors do get locked at a certain time each night. This is a downside if you plan to stay out late, as you’ll need to wait for a manager to unlock the doors for you. However, it’s also appreciated that the doors are locked at night.

Very old room. Nothing like pictured on your website! Old furniture, dark dirty stinky hallways and noisy air conditioner in the room. I booked this room for my son and his family and expected it to be a 7.6 rating and it is probably a 2. Spent 180. dollars for a dump. Very upset!!

I initially had problems with the air conditioner using the wall thermostat but there was a helpful maintenance person who directed to the air conditioner itself.

We have stayed multiple times. Some rooms are nicer than others. With that being said, there is a lot of parking, good breakfast, coffee in room, feels very safe and I love the view of their outside courtyard. Other visitors are mostly traveling and we enjoy conversations with others. We will continue to come for the price and convenience.

Hotel appears to be outdated but once you get to your room it have reasonable size, comfortable bed, amenities including a nice breakfast. Carpet needs replacement in halls. I will said 3.75 stars out of 5. I would stay again if needed.

The hotel is a little downtrodden feeling. Needs a facelift in a serious way. Room feels sparse and uninviting with small, shabby furniture. Elevator feels like it’s going to break down. Pillows are a lumpy disgrace. Breakfast was limited.

Floors and tv remote felt extremely dirty. We couldn’t even turn on the light above the bathroom sink because the middle bulb was flickering like crazy, to the point that our eyes hurt. There were a limited number of outlets, we had to move furniture in order to plug in additional devices. There were also ants in the bathroom. The shower nozzle was also loose somehow because it sprayed water out on the side, and this flooded the bathroom right by the toilet. This heavily discouraged us from taking more showers. It also seemed like the AC would turn itself off in the middle of the night because we would wake up to a humid and warm room. On the plus side, there is plenty of parking spaces available and staff were very efficient and nice. You get what you pay for, but we definitely could have found a hotel with better conditions than this place for the price. Maybe we got unlucky with a bad room, but we highly don’t recommend staying here.

Had to switch rooms due to foul smelling room. Couldn’t get any sleep. Really thin walls and fan on AC unit made terrible hissing sound all night. Pay the extra $ and stay somewhere else trust me

This was an amazing stay. I read reviews and was a little worried about condition of the hotel, safety and cleanliness. But it was soooo worth it. Cheap and a great place to sleep. Everything was super clean, great shower, comfy bed and breakfast was great for free. Room was cool and felt very safe. I wouldn’t go walking around the streets at night but I wouldn’t do that in most of sfo. Shuttle was super easy. I arrived at midnight so missed the shuttle service but it was $22. Morning shuttle was 80% full. Staff was helpful and nice. Not only would I stay here again for a layover but I would stay here to tour san Fran.

They have shuttle to airport, so it is very convenient location. Room is clean and good, we stayed overnight.

Room was very nice and comfortable. The Hotel has a new owner, they are working on updates. The patio was a great place to sit and have breakfast.

This hotel is extremely basic. Decently clean. Expect nothing. The main reason i booked is that hotels.com said the south san francisco bart stop was a 12min walk. This is completely untrue. The closest stop is the airport or san bruno. And san bruno is 40min walk. The hotel shuttle also only runs part of the day. The shuttle runs from 5am-noon and 5pm-midnight. It runs every 45min or so. None of this is communicated on the site

Nothing but carbs for breakfast: bagels, toast…. Not a single egg, no sausage, bacon …

Itvwas clean, the clientele and staff commendable. Lots of parking, although I never had to pay for parking....but the breakfastvwas ok, no eggs though

Exactly what is needed from an airport hotel. I might have got lucky but the airport shuttle was there for me as I left the terminal. Easy check-in, friendly staff, good room (although a little noisy on the first floor), nice breakfast.

Cheap hotel near the airport. Old with lots of wear and tear on furniture. No fridge or microwave in room, but did have a microwave in common area we could use. Worked for what we needed but definitely a budget hotel.

It can’t be worse than finding out that the second piece of bread that you were about to eat had mold on it after your had already finished one piece. Reported to the staff. She threw away the pieces with mold on them instead of the whole stack.

The staff were welcoming and friendly and the continental breakfast had many options. While the property was well used, it felt comfortable and lived in rather than neglected or poorly maintained, and was a quiet, warm room with easy access to food and travel to both the airport and the city.

The bathrooms are not clean at all, there was excess hair in the drain and it wouldn't allow the water to evacuate. The room itself was adequate for the price but everything else made the experience regrettable.

I had to move rooms twice because the first 2 had ants throughout them. The 3rd room didn’t have ants but there was a huge recluse spider crawling on the headboard. It was an uncomfortable experience. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.

Need to have pest control for ants, also the room assigned to us was way too small to fit 2 beds

First, the room floor was dirty and hairs everywhere, even on the walls, so I had to clean the room first. Second, when I was booking the room, the booking page had no information about this hotel not accepting CATS and no mentioning of the security pet deposit amout. The booking descrpition said pet friendly but when I arrived there, they charged $75 non refundable pet deposit. And the coffee machine wasn't working so we called the front desk person who said the maintenance person will come and fix it while we are not present, so we said NO due to many personal items there. But next day, the maintenance person went there along with their manager without our conscent and knowledge. When we talked to the manager about all these issues, his attitude was like, it's NOT my problem and I DON'T CARE. I don't get it.

They should clearly indicate in the cost of the room, that you have to pay for parking. They have it listed at the very bottom of the page and that is not very helpful and seems deceiving.

Cons: Small Queen size bed (full size?). Light flickering, noises from electronic devices, no internet TV, flies in the room, Washstand outside of restroom, shower water control broken, no eggs and meats in breakfast, not enough towel.

It was a nice simple stay. I felt safe there.

Stayed at Hotel Focus for a couple of nights and the stay was fine. Housekeeping just seemingly skipped our room so we had to go ask for towels. That’s my only complaint really.
