Motel 6 Atlanta Smyrna / Ballpark

I recently stayed at Motel 6 Smyrna and had a positive experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the air conditioning worked efficiently throughout my stay. Although the property is still undergoing renovations, it did not affect my comfort. One of the strongest advantages of this location is its convenience, with Target, Chipotle, Wendy’s, Shell gas station, and additional shopping and dining options all within easy walking distance. Overall, I would gladly stay here again and recommend it for its value, cleanliness, and accessibility.

This is a nice hotel little expensive but every thing is around there and it was the cheaper one for the area

The couple staff I saw were friendly and the location isn’t bad, although 2 different map apps sent me to Target’s parking lot and said arrived.

GREAT STAFF. Room was just freshly remodeled and it was really nice.

I really liked the hotel’s convenient location. It’s within 0.5 miles of Starbucks, Dunkin’, gas stations, and various stores, which made everything very accessible. The ballpark is also just about a mile away, and the hotel offers easy access to the highway, making it a great option for getting around.

The person checking me in gave me a no smoking room, which saved me money as I checked in, but the room still kind of smelled like smoke when I first entered. There were also holes in the bedsheets and some of the towels weren’t clean. The staff is nice, but the rooms could be cleaner.

The bed in the room I stayed at was absolutely unacceptable. I tried to change rooms but they would not let me. I met the manager the day of checkout. He was very friendly and mentioned they just purchased the property a few months ago and are making renovations. That still did not help me but check the beds first!

Rooms smelled horrible. Had 3 different rooms and none of the microwaves worked. Only 6 channels on the tv. Air conditioner was cold when it was blowing and then it shut off it felt like you were getting hit with a heater. I would go from comfortable with the ac at 65 then sweating when it shut off.

I like my money back, this was a nightmare. The whole stay was a setup it like they purposely didn't want me to sleep. I felt like the military assigned me a room just to make sure I didn't any sleep at all. They purposely had construction workers working next door to my room and made noise through my stay. The white lady at the front is very racist and jealous of vlack womens please dont book here take your money and business elsewhere, the hate is real this white lady lied about a room ehen asked was any available when online it showed it was then when i did book and she saw me she added me on the Dont Rent List because she hates black women! She is a racist however Sam isnt he is very polite and sweet , do not rent here

Property surrounded by food outlets, convenience stores and other accommodation. It’s about a 20 minute walk to Truist Park. Basic room which looks aged and has no fridge, microwave or coffee making facilities. In need of some TLC as is often the case with budget motels, you get what you pay for. The AC wasn’t on when I arrived so it was hot, it did cool later although it made the noise of a helicopter landing. The TV remote was broken so had to be replaced at reception. The replacement worked but the TV channels were limited. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet at night. The shower was good but not very hot.

Door hard to shut, had to move in & out to engage deadbolt. A/C did not work properly, get up during night to turn on when we got hot. Refrigerator not pluged in. microwave clock was not set. Bed linen smelled. Sink would not drain. Suspicious loiters.

They are not doing a lick of cleaning. Zero nothing no cleaning in the rooms. They might go in and change the sheets and put new towels in. That’s literally all they’re doing. Animal for all over the room piles of it under the bed move the microwave slightly and there’s a huge pile of animal food and fur. A cigar on the countertop that someone smoked. The dresser handle was broken and they just left it on top of the dresser. The curtain is all ripped up yellow and gross. There was soap scum left in the shower from whoever’s bar. Soap was in there every single corner had piles of dirt in it. The staff was friendly, especially at checking in later in the evening if they had a whole new cleaning staff the entire hotel would be different. But clearly they hired a bunch of people who are comfortable and feel like they won’t get fired for not doing their job. I see they’re renovating the other building hopefully they don’t bring the same cleaning staff over to the next building because that is the ONLY issue I had at this hotel. It’s in a good area. The hotel is dirty and ruined and the staff is rude with an "I don't care attitude". It was 22 degrees and the heat was not working. The bed was broken, no remote for the TV and the microwave wasn't working. I contacted booking.com and requested a full refund. Do stay her unless you want to throw away your money.

It waa booked at the wrong motel 6 and when I called booking.com to change to correct address i was told your couldn't change it. I waa force to stay at a location i knew nothing about or i would lose my money. The room stink, no hot water, the refrigerator wouldn't open. And it wasn't at the hotel i wanted!! A waste of money and I will NEVER book with your AGAIN!!! The fact that your couldn't help me and change it to the location it was supposed to be at. Your took my money but yet you couldn't help me. Would never book with your AGAIN!!

The fact that I was given a room that appeared to be occupied. The bed was disheveled. It stunk. The bathroom was in disarray. I was surprised to not have been comped due to poor management and housekeeping.

Room I received was not what I booked. Black mold everywhere. Asked for a refund and they said it wasn’t their problem and to take it up with Expedia. Then Expedia said it wasn’t their problem as the vendor had already taken the money. Do not book this hotel and honestly don’t book with Expedia.

Smelled like cat urine, toilet was running and leaking the whole time, a metal pin was sticking out of the phone jack, several outlets including the built in on the night stand were loose, or coming out, couple outlet covers were off

Had reservations for a double bed room got there and they said no double beds where available so I asked for a refund and they said they couldn’t do it there at the hotel so had to drive and try to a hotel with double beds for about an hour WILL NEVER stay at a Red Room Inn and I will never recommend one

Room was filthy, bathroom door couldn’t close because it had obviously been kicked in at some point and I guess no one bothered to fix it. The shower also had giant cracks in the bottom and a hole in the side that looks like someone punched it. Didn’t even end up staying here it was so bad, I turned the keys in early and just ate the loss. Although I’ll admit I’m surprised I got the room to begin with. There was an event in town (which is why we even attempted to stay here in the first place,) and they overbooked rooms online. When I went to return the keys so we could find something else, there was a mob of people demanding answers and the staff had nothing but attitude to return. They wouldn’t return the money of the people they basically scammed.

I should’ve read all the amenities before commenting on this property. I’ve never stayed in red roof without a microwave or refrigerator. I had to keep my food in a cooler. There wasn’t even a suitable lobby with a microwave.

I paid for a superior king room smoking.. upon reaching the property was told the room wasnt available. Had to accept a room with no refrigerator or microwave. No type of discount or compensation.

The distance to venues like the Coca Cola Roxy is pretty convenient, especially if you want to Uber pretty cheap or only drive a super short distance to the venue. It was so close that I actually decided to walk back from the venue and it only took like 20 minutes. The actual hotel itself is a hot mess, but you do get what you pay for. I do not recommend staying here with your kids or on a long trip lol. I asked the lady at the front desk for directions to my room and she rolled her eyes as she told me to just follow the numbers to my room, which yeah but it just put me off I guess. We found a dead roach, but I guess it was dead so it wasn’t that bad? The heat/ac unit didn’t work either which did suck because the thin sheet of a blanket that they gave us wasn’t keeping anyone warm in the winter. Will I ever stay at this hotel? Maybe if they tear down the building, get new ownership and hire new people sure. For now, I do not recommend staying at this hotel unless you’re just SUPER down bad on your luck.

When we arrived, they had no room with a king bed, which is what I reserved. When we accepted a double bed we settled in to find the television not working. So we went to the office and they told use to remove our stuff from the room bring the key back and they would give us another room. Which we did and they did. They put us in a room directly behind the one we were in and could have saved us the troble of having to lug our stuff up and down the stairs when it could have been avoided. We got in the room turn ed the heat on and went to bed. I woke up in the middle of the night freezing as the heat was NOT working. I Denad a refund.

The ac was broken and it looked like mold was growing by the sink. The 2nd room had more blood and other yellowish stains on the beds and all the towels. Hair all over the pillows. Lastly I spent 15-20 trying to kill all the flys in here… got to bed at 1am. Went to sleep on top of the covers in all my clothes. Worst management, nothing is good about this hotel!

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my entire life. We were there for 10 minutes before leaving and not even staying the night. Trash everywhere, homeless people sleeping outside the rooms, extremely disrespectful front desk clerk, blood stains on sheets and bathroom, door was broken off the hinges and would not close, ceiling looked like it was about to collapse in, spiderwebs everywhere, dirt, garbage, trash on the floor next to the beds, sheets were damp, the absolute worst experience of all time. I honestly felt like I was a second-class citizen at Red Roof Inn. They have a nice lobby there but we have to enter in the back of the lobby and be serviced behind a glass window as if we are at a gas station. It was extremely difficult to understand anything that the front desk attendant was saying (whom we had to wait for). When I placed my reservation, I requested for a non-smoking room and was given a room that smelled like smoke. Even worse, both of the beds had cigarette burn marks all over the covers and on the sheets. The TV was not operational at all. The sink and bathtub had cracks. Since we had to leave for a performance at the game we left. We also had nonrefundable rooms so we could not just request for a different room and I was already uncomfortable with the front desk staff. I will NOT be going there again.

It was so bad I reached out to the corporate office and informed them how bad the the hotel and management was at this location.

He told me “Read the sign-NO REFUNDS”. I checked in early and had already paid. We went back and forth for a minute, and I realized that he was not interested in doing the right thing, only that his rooms were nonrefundable, so I got the receipt and told him I’d be disputing this with my CC company. The room and customer service was so bad we left, didn’t stay one night and had to rebook with another hotel nearby, where the rooms were clean, and the staff was warm and friendly. In my 49 years on this earth, I’ve never had a worse experience while staying at a hotel. I wish I could WARN anyone thinking of staying here ahead of time. STAY AWAY FROM RED ROOF INN.

We had no wash cloths or towels. Couldn't get anyone to find us any!! Room nasty!! Urine all over commode, hair where someone had shaved all over sink and counter. We sprayed Lysol on the sheets and laid down couple hours. No bedspread, thin sheet. We went to see dep leppard and journey at the stadium...so thank God we were not in that room long!! Awesome show!!. That definitely made up for our nightmare at the motel!!

This was a nightmare from the beginning. First we get there from 2 hours away and the lady refused our reservations. Then the room was filthy and old. No cover to keep warm, pillows like rocks, bed like a sheet of plywood. Cheaper doesn't have to be disgusting.
