    Room was clean but furniture is shabby. Furniture up is scratched and worn, and the grating on the AC/heating unit was cracked and some pieces were missing, ice machine on my floor was inoperable for 2 days. The housekeeping is sketchy. I’ve stayed here at least 5-6 times over the past year and housekeeping is inconsistent. One day my room wasn’t even serviced; then they wanted to do it at 6:30pm; I declined. One day you get all your towels replaced, and the next day you don’t. Bed is ok, but the pillows are so soft, you might as well sleep directly on the mattress. The towels have gotten MUCH better. They are no longer like sandpaper. Front desk is always receptive and helpful and professional. Plenty of free parking and close to all types of shopping and dining.

    Convenience to shopping and Restaurant. Housekeeping was substandard with beds 1/2 made and one day not at all. Inconsistent housekeeping with unmade beds and towels not being replaced evenly. Reported poor sink draining, toilet not flushing without hold down handle and noisy A/C, only sink was taken care of. Pool, although indoor, was cold. Breakfast for $14 consisted of oatmeal and canned fruit.

    All of it. What you got for the cost of the breakfast? It was basically the same as the free breakfast as you get at other places, except it was much less. The good thing about it was I was able to order the eggs the way I wanted them. The thing I didn’t care for was the price of the breakfast that didn’t give you very much of a variety for the cost. You would get more at hotels who offer free breakfast and the one you serve cost.

    During my 8-night stay, the gym's air conditioning never worked. I was also confused by the room-cleaning policy. My room was not cleaned daily or even every other day, and when I asked the front desk, I received different explanations from different staff members. One person said rooms were cleaned every day, another said every other day, and another told me I needed to remove the "Do Not Disturb" sign before 2 PM. Even when my room was cleaned, the service was subpar. The bed was not made, and a piece of trash was left on the floor. I had expected the public laundry facilities to be useful for such a long stay, but the machines are coin-operated. Since I did not have enough quarters, I asked the front desk for change, but they said they do not offer coin exchanges. Overall, the inconsistent communication, lack of cleanliness, and limited guest support made for a disappointing experience.

    I’ve stayed in this hotel before, and I have to say that the woman who is in charge of the breakfast bar is one of the most unpleasant and rudest people I’ve encountered in any hotel. Rather than starting the day with a smile, she is just plain nasty!!

    The bedsheets in the room were soiled. We then switched rooms. In the second room, the water pressure in the shower was good, but the water didn't get very hot. There was also a moldy smell in the rooms. Looks like it's time to get rid of the carpet.

    Tjhe switch on one of the lamps was loose and the lamp wouldn't stay lit. I reported this to the front desk on the day I arrived, but it wasn't replaced or fixed. I was disappointed that the Keurig cups weren't renewed the second day of my stay, though the bathroom was cleaned.

    Incredible stay! The staff were super accommodating and professional. When we got to our room the fridge was warm and not working. They immediately switched it out and checked on us later to make sure everything was still good. Only thing I’d change is there was no included breakfast. The room, the hotel itself, and the pool area were especially clean!

    We came down for breakfast 45 minutes before it closed. The buffet was stripped down to the muffin shelves only and the breakfast we ordered was brought to our table in plastic takeout containers with tiny plastic utensils. Some sort of glitch prevented us from connecting to wifi on our tablet. We told the manager on duty Thursday morning and she went ABOVE & BEYOND to correct the problem. We truly appreciated her professionalism and friendliness.

    Conveinant location My room was aged, NO black out curtains (apparently they were “gone” and NO soap in shower. Asked staff to refill for second day of stay and they did not.     The staff. The waitress at breakfast to be exact. I was told by the receptionist that breakfast was complimentary when checking in. At breakfast, I was greeted and asked would I like to have the buffet breakfast as her arm pointed towards the hot food station. She left me with the expression that cold food was free and the hot food at $13. I told her no thanks, grab a muffins and fruits. She later placed a bill on the table. I told her that receptionist told me that breakfast was free and I didn’t grab any hot food from the buffet station. She explain that the $13 buffet was for everything, and if denied, I have to pay for the individual food I have in a combative tone. As if she expected me have an unpleasant attitude to her explanation. I wish she would have explained it in detail when she first greeted me. I probably would have walked to IHOP. I added my name, signature, and room number to the bill and left. I heard the waitress yelling asking the receptionist to have me go back to the breakfast area. She assumed that I walked off without paying for the food. As soon as the receptionist asked me to go back, we both her the cashier say “nevermind”. Why would she assume I left without paying my $6 or $8bill? She could have open the bill to see if I signed it before jumping to conclusions. What a way to treat the guest. At arrival, the receptionist tried to charge me for a room I already paid for. He said that it’s not paid for and guest paid at arrival. I went into my emails to find the receipt, then he said that the room is paid for and stated to put my card on file for a $50 hold. The whole exchange is awkward. The staff was not welcoming and I would never stay there again and probably wouldn’t stay at Hilton as a whole. The waitress was of African descent, elderly, 5ft 3in ish, with short hair and wears glasses. She was so unkind to me.

    We had to stay nearby the hospital for several days to support my sister. We had my 20 year old daughter who has special needs and my 3 year old niece who was out of sorts while her mom spent her days in the hospital. The staff was so kind and supportive it helped us make the best of a tough situation. The pool was well- heated so our little niece could really enjoy it - clean and plenty of towels. The room was large and we all slept well as it was quiet all three nights we were there. While they don’t have complimentary breakfast we found what they have for sale was very reasonable and good. And free coffee/tea in the lobby every morning really helped. Great place during a tough time - thank you.

    Room was decent until my butterfly earrings went MISSING on Saturday. I went out of the hotel room to a funeral from 8am till afternoon and I forgot to take all of my jewelry. Check cameras because a STAFF worker must of entered even though I put the do not disturb on the door. I know this because my earrings was there and now gone; someone went through my personal belongings and stole my earrings!! Really disappointing!!!!

    The property was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the AC kept my room perfectly cool. I also appreciated that the grounds felt relaxed and easy to walk around, offering quiet spots to unwind without bothering anyone. If I had to mention one thing, the bathroom could have been a little fresher, but it didn’t take away from the overall comfort of the room. Overall, this was a great stay with excellent service, and I’d happily come back next time I’m in the area.

    I like that the staff was friendly and nice. I liked that the room and areas of the hotel was well-kept and clean. I did not like that there was no room service available as advertised, which is the reason I chose this hotel due to a recent surgery and did not want to have to move much. Otherwise, it was a nice stay.

    The room seemed quite clean and tidy. The bathroom towels were clean but crumpled up on the rack. The vertical face of the vanity should be touched up w black paint.     My husband and I spent one night. We were able to check in a bit before the official time. The clerk and the desk expedited getting the room ready. The room decor was current. There was even a framed picture of Martin Luther King on one wall. In these politically contentious times we thought that was a nice touch.

    We stayed 3 days while visiting Washington DC. It's about a 30 minute commute to the subway and traffic is heavy. Just be an alert driver! Subway is about a 20 minute ride. Boys loved the pool. For a small add-in fee we purchased the Breakfast Bufet and it was satisfying. Overall a very nice place to stay.

    I tried to check in on June 22, or at least get a hotel after a long trip but no one was there to help me, I waited more than 15 minutes to check in and no one shows up, I walked the lobby asking for help, and nothing so I had to make another reservation at another hotel, losing the money I spent at this hotel. I called the front desk and this rude person named Kidy was extremely unprofessional, paying no attention to what I was saying, I had to repeat 5 times what I was saying and she continued asking What is your question.     Housekeeping was lacking during this stay. My bath towels were shortchanged on at least 3 days. Some of the towels were like sandpaper. Sometimes both paper cups were replaced, and sometimes not. The bathroom counter was not wiped down. Sometimes both hand towels were replenished, other days not. It took 2 days to get the shampoo in the shower replaced. No glasses, just paper cups?? I don’t drink coffee or tea, so I would have preferred glasses like hotels used to provide.

    We were given a room adjoining another room that was occupied. This other group was so loud all night. A party was had and they left trash at the elevators. This isn’t the hotels fault, but I felt they should have stepped in. Because they did not, my stay was not nearly as enjoyable as it could have been.

    The lighting was poor in the main area. One blackout shade couldn’t be pulled down and one fell completely the third morning we left. Also, the bathtub was slippery an had no bath mat. There were handles to grab.

    Room was very nice. Bed was comfortable but the pillows were terrible. They were so soft they felt like you sleeping on nothing. Not a fan. Staff was friendly and professional. Unfortunately, there was a group of boys on the third floor who were constantly making noise after 10pm and before 7am every day! Good location that is close to shopping and good.     The pool was out of service during our stay . The in house restaurant and bar were also closed on Saturday night . These were some of the reasons we chose this hotel. Thus we were a little disappointed . The breakfast was a limited " continental breakfast " which was extra and not included with the room . Recommend going to the IHOP in the same plaza instead.

    The heat barely worked. I had to turn the heat all the way to 80 for it to get warm and even then it blew out cold air most of the time. Heat blew for about 2 mins then it would blow out cold air. The firestick couldn't connect to the tv because of the wifi but we were able to connect it to our hotspot. Ended up not staying because I couldn't get comfortable in a cold dirty room. I don't know if they forgot to clean the room or what but I was disgusted and cold.

    We stayed at Hilton Garden Inn Silver Spring White Oak between November 26 through December 1, 2024. While we were there, many cars were broken into on the property, with windows smashed in all of the cars parked in front of the hotel, it was discovered on Thanksgiving morning. Apparently 9 cars were broken into, we learned from affected guests. The following day, more guests had their windows broken into (or chipped with an attempt of a break-in) with contents of their car stolen. We were surprised by the lack of notification from the hotel, their denial to guests that this had just occurred the day prior (and seemed to be a common occurrence based on our subsequent online research), lack of cleanup of glass on the parking lot grounds. The strip of cars being targeted on Thanksgiving day, are in front of the hotel, although they are blocked by planted bushes. It seems irresponsible of the hotel, due to the repeat crime, to not install cameras around the property and cut down the bushes for visibility, and/or hire a security office to cover the premise. Our car was not affected, although we parked at our family's residence and took an uber to and from the hotel to avoid the hassle of a break-in. We typically stay at Hilton Garden Inn during our family visits; and although the apathy of staff is off-putting, it has been convenient as a HH member. We will not be staying at this Silver Spring White Oak Hilton Garden Inn unless an effort is made to increase their security.

    Rooms we're okay but it is a bit small, also the rooms are overpriced for the value proposition. Dining was next to non-existant and to eat real food you must leave the premises. Yes, they have food but it's very limited.

    I've stayed here a few times prior and its great, without complaint. That's main reason why I keep selecting this hotel when i travel to this area. Plent of restaurants within the complex, great parking and very accommodating staff. Not to mention the indoor heated pool.

    I do believe you need another trash can in your rooms. One in the bathroom is not sufficient. Also The water I noticed this time was nasty. It smelled bad and tasted horrible.. You should check it.

    moved us to another. We missed phone chargers in our room. Was very unhappy that there was a charge for breakfast, As seniors we do not eat a lot and a small continental breakfast would have been welcome.
