    Love this place! Biggest complaint for the weekend is how busy it was. Not sure if it was to the “Wellness Weekend” being hosted, but the pool was full by 9:30a. Been going there for over 10 years and never seen it so busy.

    Overall the property is very nice. The beds are not comfortable and low quantity mattresses. After two nights my back and hips were so sore. Following my two night stay, I was previously booked at the Omni in Tempe. After just one night on their bed my back and hips were back to normal. A quality mattress makes a world of difference.

    There was a conference at the resort, and those attendees clearly had preferential treatment. The breakfast restaurant didn't even give us the time of day for over 15 minutes while we were waited to be seated, we had to leave and go somewhere else in town for breakfast. The pool and bar is great. Mostly nice servers, pretty easy to find a lounger. Property is older but has been updated beautifully. Very serene.

    We were told the restaurant would have a 20-minute wait for breakfast, but it took nearly an hour just to be seated. After that, service was so slow we had to leave without eating so we could return to our room before the 11:00 a.m. checkout. We also requested a noon checkout but were not accommodated. Service throughout the property felt consistently unhelpful and unpleasant, which made the stay far from welcoming. Unfortunately, the highlight of the visit was when the valet brought our car so we could leave.

    The rooms are nice and the beds are comfortable, but we arrived to find the shower shampoo and conditioner bottles empty, which wasn’t a great first impression. On the second day a strong sewer-like smell developed in the room and got worse into the evening. Maintenance attempted a fix, but it didn’t help. Later that evening the fire alarm went off and guests ended up standing in the hallway in pajamas, but there was no follow-up or communication from staff afterward. By the third day the smell was overwhelming, and while the staff did move us to another room, the process wasn’t very smooth and there was no assistance offered with moving. We did enjoy renting a pool cabana—Jordan and Delani provided great service. However, our pizza lunch was undercooked and doughy. At checkout we received a small credit after asking, though we weren’t asked how our stay was, which was surprising for a hotel of this caliber. Overall, a beautiful property but several maintenance and service issues took away from the experience.

    The front desk staff were very welcoming. The room was very nice but the floors had a lot of hair on them. Maybe could use some sweeping and vacuum cleaning. I also felt like I was being ignored by the male bartender at the bar downstairs. I sat down, he looked at me several times before he told me he would help me in a second. He then proceeded to help other customers who just walked up to the bar before me. Thankfully the young lady bartender came to help me and served me a drink. She was very sweet. Other than that I truly enjoyed my stay. I also really loved the scent in the inner hallways.

    Pool It was January 2 around 9:30 pm The lady at the speaking bar at the tirth floor was rude to me when I ask about la madame bar . She pretended to look there to see if there was space for me and she said no you can’t come in . After that I went to the bar downstairs where a kind gentleman who worked at that bar told me to make a reservation for La madam which I did because there was slow dat day after that I went again upstairs to the 3th floor bar, thank gad there was another lady from La madam who helped me with my reservation and let me in . When I went there the place was beautiful and surprisingly there was no people there only 2 persons.

    The staff was ABSOLUTELY amazing. EVERYONE that walked by wanted to help if observed that myself and guests were not having a pleasurable experience. They offered water, moved us if we were in the sun during breakfast, and smiled while doing it. It was mine and my guest first time at the hotel and Arizona. I can’t wait to come back.     Overall, our stay at this hotel was nice. It’s a beautiful facility with a relaxing ambience. My only issue was a few inconsistencies with the service and messaging from the staff For example, We arrived around 2:30 PM and asked if we could access our room early to which we were told it was not ready and they would text us. I understand that sometimes an early check-in is simply not available. However, the following day I overheard a different staff member checking in someone in a similar circumstance and offered them a paid early check-in or the option to leave their bags with the bell hop and to freely access all of their amenities, including the pool, etc., none of which we were offered to us,we literally sat in the car for 2 hours waiting to access our room so we could utilize the pool. It would’ve been nice to know that we could’ve used those services and enjoyed them longer, but that was not offered to us. Secondly, the rule surrounding the pool are not enforced, mostly I do not care about outside food or drinks coming in, but the rules say that they are prohibited however, there was several people with their own food and beverage as well as smoking with no regulation. Also, FYI the pool stays open several hours past their posted time, something you may want to know if you stay in a pool view room. It didn’t bother us, but people are hanging out close to 11pm. I would stay again, but bummed we didn’t get the same hospitality as others at check in

    From the start, I was surprised by hidden fees that weren’t disclosed up front. Access to the sauna and steam room is $40 per person—a detail not mentioned on the website until after you’ve made your reservation. Self-parking is $45 per day, and the speakeasy is reservation-only, which wasn’t clearly communicated anywhere. Service was another letdown. The pool bar staff blatantly ignored me—I didn’t “look” like their usual guest, which was both uncomfortable and unacceptable. Adding to the confusion, the bar accepts Apple Pay, but the front desk does not. Why is there inconsistency in payment options at the same property? Additionally, amenities were lacking. The Social Boardroom with the pool table was locked at 10 a.m. and only open Monday to Friday from 5 p.m. to midnight—not exactly convenient for a relaxing stay. No microwave in the room either, which is a basic expectation in this price range. The staff were polite and apologetic, but not actually helpful in resolving issues. If you’re looking for a relaxing, all-inclusive-feel getaway where you can truly unwind after paying upfront—this isn’t it. Be prepared to pay extra for everything and to be reminded often that you’re still on the clock for your vacation.

    STRESSFUL! What started out great quickly turned to extremely stressful and disappointing due to the hotels self parking situation. Machine constantly malfunctioning, pressing the call for help button repeatedly over the last few days to no answer. Having to leave the gate that won’t open, re park the car, run down stairs and wait in line for someone to hopefully help me. I was given multiple new barcodes to scan to open the gate that did not work, told that if I hit the help button valet guy would make sure he opened it and still nothing! I was late to 2 separate events that I tried to leave early for and was unable to get out of the parking structure. The hotel should have someone at the gate to help you if system is not working properly and most definitely shouldn’t be charging guests for parking till this issue is resolved ( as I met multiple hotel guests having the same issue ). When telling Crystal at the front desk about my these issues she said the WIFI is spotty and the reason these parking machines are not working properly and that it’s a private company so she can’t comp parking fees?! She offered to comp a $40 1 night resort fee. This is ridiculous! Our last night was topped off with stepping on cockroaches in our room executive suite room 197. Again told Crystal and she said sorry. FYI this is the first negative hotel review I have ever written, that’s how bad this experience was!

    Our recent stay at The Scottsdale Resort as a family of three and two dogs was average at best. We requested a disability room so we could bathe our two-year-old in a bathtub instead of a standup shower, so I’m not sure if that room specifically has weird light switches, but the lighting in the vanity and the toilet/shower area separated by a door was controlled by one switch. Meaning you had to light up the entire room to not pee in the dark. The door to the room was janky and had to be slammed shut to close all the way. We did not have bar soap upon arrival, and never received after housekeeping refreshed the room. A ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign was not supplied so my baby was woken up several times by housekeeping. Their carts make A LOT of noise if the door is facing outside, so just be aware if you have pets. And if you’re worried about noise, then don’t get a pool adjacent room on a weekend otherwise you will hear the bass from the music. We couldn’t exit the parking garage (because of user error) but kept getting hung up on when we called the number on the screen which was the front desk. On a positive note, the grounds are nice and the woman working the cafe was wonderful.

    Our overall experience unfortunately does not motivate us to come back. The hotel was beautiful, valet and receptionists are kind and helpful, pool was spacious and heated, and the food was delicious. However, it seems all the money for the hotel goes into the amenities and the exterior parts of the hotel. The room was decent and the bed was fine, but everything in the interior seemed to be… cheap? The toilet paper was so thin your finger could go right through it. You had pay an extra $20-$30 per movie as they had only On Demand. The movies would even start to pixelate and stop playing. It was interesting. The hotel does allow pets and claims to be pet friendly, but I don’t think the second part is necessarily true. You cannot bring pets to the restaurant or pool, which I could understand if my pet was not ESA. They let us know there was a fake grass area to allow pets to poop and pee and mentioned there were poop bags….. we scoured the area and there were no poop bags. Nothing to spray off the poop either. Luckily we had a plastic bag in the room. People will stare at you for having a pet so just be prepared for that. We also booked two appointments at the Luna Spa. We called just to confirm our appointments were still set and they laughed and said “I don’t understand why the website would say we have available, we’ve been booked out for a while so you must be mistaken”. My mom has a pending charge on her account for the services. Never again.

    Very good property. Very convenient for my trip. Close to golf courses. Room was very good. Housekeeping was not very thorough during my stay. Rugs were rather dirty and stained. Room service did not respond to my message I left. I was not overly impressed with the dining. Service in the dining room was excellent by Lynnee.     I had to leave a horrible hotel to only find this gem. I promise you, from the moment you enter to check in, you will realize you are in a different type of space. I highly reccomend this lodging. I loved their 1 bedroom suit with a extra living room situation, amazing for a family. They provided a crib with no issues. Kind staff, good food, and grounds were nice. I would encourage anyone wondering if they should, just do it.

    I highly recommend the pool facing patio rooms which have easy access to the main pool area as well as a lawn area with lawn games and Adirondack chairs. Normally I don't like a 1st floor room. But the patio doors have an extra lock, again a welcome small touch. I can highly recommend this lovely resort for being a luxurious sanctuary with warm, personable staff. And it's location is a big plus, with its close by access to a well populated retail services area and the Old Town neighborhood.
