The Staff, while friendly, had issues trying to get a key for me. It took 45 minutes to get my key. Also, my car got keyed, and they charged a $5 parking fee, which I didn't see disclosed at booking.

Did not like much. This Sonesta Suite was very, very downscale compared to the other Scottsdale location. Deceptive branding policy. Kitchen was very poorly equipped. Staff supplied coffee mugs, cookie sheets when requested, but there were no sharp knives available. BAD Neighborhood. Again, very poor compared with the other Scottsdale Sonesta

Very outdated is more of an extended stay place. Smelled like marijuana in the hallways and the rooms were dirty. Couch had stains and cigarette burns. 3/10 on cleanliness.

The front desk staff were very nice and very accommodating! The hotel was well priced and the fact that it had a little kitchenette in it, was perfect! The property is a little outdated, and grungy, but the towels and bedding were white and very clean!

Stayed 1 night. You get what you pay for. Outdated. Bed and sheets were clean. Carpet, toilet seats and couch were really old. It served its purpose for a 1 night stay. Wouldn’t stay here again though.

The location was great for what we needed. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. For the price, this was a great place to stay.

When we went in to the first room we saw a roach and other bugs like ticks. They gave us anothet room which had a very strong smell, affecting my asthma and room, bathroom and hotel itself old and walls with cracks. Now we can not get credited back!

Was pleasantly surprise at the cleanliness of Our room, the kitchen, having a complete kitchen made or trip complete. The staff was very nice and can’t stop talking about how perfect the location centrally located and again our room with everything we needed. Let’s not forget the price!!!! It can not be beat! There are many locations throughout the country and will always look first to stay with them.

I had to change rooms because ours smelled of cigarettes. The rooms are visibly clean, but things have old dirt on them and are sticky. The toilet ran water all night which kept us awake. The shower in the morning was lukewarm at best. I won’t stay there ever again.

When walking into the lobby the weed smell was so strong that I was afraid my infant grand daughter would get sick. The check in lady was complaining about how many reservation they had and how she wished people would just stop voming in, that her night auditor wasnt there, and took about 45 minutes to check me in while I was holding a car seat. She piints a random direction to tell me where my room is. I go that direction and it indeed was not my room. After climbing stair of two wrong buildings I finally find my room. I requested non smoking but the other rooms in the building were obviously smoking rooms and the place was hot boxed. My room was musky and humid, the tv cable did not work. Because I hward her tell someone else while I was checking in maintenance was gone and she couldn't help with the tv, I didn't bother. The next day I called to get help and the front desk guy was rude and un interested in how I felt about the situation. I inevitably messed with the tv for about 2 hours u til I figured out how to download channels. The windows are very thin and there was a large group of people outside until after midnight carrying on, yelling, etc. Overall poor experience but I suppose you get what you pay for. I could have dealt with everything else if the smell was tolreable and the smoking rooms were in a different building.

We booked a package through a travel site yet we were charged $200+ because the agent who checked us in had difficulty reconciling the booking site with their reservation system. The charges were ‘pending’ and were supposed to fall off yet they’re coming through one by one. The only saving grace is that the air conditioner worked, it’s close to everything and in a safe neighborhood. When I visit Scottsdale again I will NOT consider this hotel. I only picked it because it’s a hotel we’ve stayed in often in WA. I do not hold this visit against the Sonesta company as a whole but I will never stay in a Sonesta property in Arizona. I will be following up with customer service because we should not be accumulating $200+ in charges since the room was paid for.

Hotel room was quiet and clean. But we asked to have our room cleaned and it was not, asked for fresh towels, We did not get them. No screens on the windows. Air conditioner would change to heat if you change the thermostat. Kitchen was bare, no silverware, plates, glasses nothing. We’ve stayed here before and it’s been different.

The towels were great, kitchen had everything I needed. Unfortunately the refrigerator did not work. Nevertheless, I would stay there again because there was plenty of room and I could put down my yoga mat and practice.

There's a kitchen in the room that did'nt have one spoon, plate or cup to make my own coffee in. There was no one at the desk when I arrived to check in, had to wait 10 miinutes. Self check-out in the morning. Gloomy vibe. Not worth even the low cost.

Location was great Most of the staff were great. One lady was less than helpful. Asked for an extra pillow or two and she said they didn’t have any. I think she was just too lazy to get them. Landscapers wrecked the pool area on Saturday, and there was still crap floating on Sunday but it was usable. They did provide an extended checkout since we didn’t get to swim on Saturday.

This time around I had trouble reaching anyone weeks prior to my stay that could tell me of I could pay for early check . In the 4 calls I made the 2 weeks leading up I was told to try at 8AM to reach a manager. Those calls were unsuccessful. Finally the day before a regilar employee was willing ti at least look and see what she could do. i was grateful. Upon checking in and getting to my room there was a queen bed and a queen cot (no couch option) I went down stairs and asked for another room - they got me in a new room - ao far a little bumpy but okay. New room, looks normal, unloaded my groceries. Went to cook an egg… stove doesn’t work. Sat down to unwind, TV wasn’t picking up channels - called about the stove , no one ever came to fix it. Later that night I was disappointed to discover that the bed was lopsided and that the AC sounded like someone was vacuuming next to my head. Called about that as well, offered to switch rooms but I had unpacked, was hoping someone would come look at it. That did not happen. Upon check out I did let them know those things were out of order -“anything else?” Was his dismissive response. My advice: don’t buy groceries until you’ve been in your room and checked all the appliances, bring ear plugs Things are noisy, don’t expect stellar customer service employees are limited to at the facility standard is.

Nice part of town. Quiet and a ton of food options. Everything worked well. The bed seemed smaller than a queen but was comfortable. The kitchenette was nice to have. Good value for under $100. We’ll be back.

It was kinda pricey, but to some extent I understand given the Scottsdale location. The room design was kinda strange. You couldn't watch TV in bed. No breakfast. The hallway when you walk in was very strongly perfumed. No major problems, but I don't think I would stay there again. I was surprised, since I stayed in a couple of their hotels in Peru, and they were great.
- 3/5
The room was clean, kitchen and sleeping area. The ceiling in the shower was damaged from an apparent leak from the room above. The most annoying thing were the thin walls and ceilings. I could hear the foot steps and voices from the room next door and above.

Sofa was ripped and arms worn and dirty. Almost looked like something you would find someone put out to the road to throw away. Rooms and furniture were very dated and somewhat worn. They don't offer breakfast but would expect at least coffee in the lobby which they didn't provide either. Was expecting a lot more for the price we paid. First time trying this chain but unfortunately will not likely try again.

Staff was very responsive. They are still recovering from having been used as a temporary housing for construction workers and others and the renovation is going well. They really care about each person who stays there. Our room was clean, had everything we needed and everything functional. I will stay there again because of the staff and the care they showed us. Looking forward to the renovation being complete!

room 103- the minute you opened the door you were hit with mildew smell. you could see the water line on the carpet baseboard next to the a/c unit. i find it hard to believe that the room was cleaned and the nobody noticed the smell. profits over customer safety and thinking the customer is stupid and will take the room anyway. they were nice enough to give us room 105 but when it came time for a shower at 445 in the morning , no hot water, even let the water run a while but had to take a cold shower. oh and they dont tell you that paking is 5 dollars a day. night and morning person behind the counter showed no empathy. needs new management.

The room needed upgrading, the bed was old, the couch bed mattress was so thin you could feel the springs through it. The carpet had burn marks, and the stairwell had a very strong perfume type scent. You could tell at one time it was a nice place. The little kitchen was very nice with a large fridge. The staff were very nice and accommodating.

The room was clean and had a working kitchen. The staff were mixed as far as wanting to help or not..the last response I got was what put me off the most. Very rude. I had to put down a deposit of $100.00. when I checked out, I asked for an itemized receipt of everything. The staff said booking.com would give it to me. But I've never had this happen before..it's always come from the hotel. I have no receipt. No pay proof of anything for taxes, no reason to think I will get any deposit back, or charged, or whatever. When I asked about this recently I got a very cold response, as if I was irritating the staff for asking a question. I don't want to travel or stay anywhere , where by just asking a question, the staff appear to be irritated.

The pictures don’t really depict the property as accurately as they should. The room was decent but definitely felt dated and bare minimum cleaned/maintained. I feel like the maintenance team and owners should do a better job of keeping things looking nice. The property has a lot more potential but the operational aspect is lacking. Could easily be a 4 or 5 star rating under the right leadership. The lobby was clean and smelled good, front desk staff was quick and friendly. Decent stay for the money.

She explained everything to me as I was unsure of where my room was and ensured I had a convenient ground floor room to make it easier for me with my healing broken foot. There was someone with heavy feet in the room above me but I was honestly so tired at night I fell right to sleep. The room was the perfect layout with a mini kitchen space, stove, & full sized fridge. The bathroom was also handicap equipped. Water pressure was good & room temperature was perfect. There is also a small closet with iron, ironing board, & a hair dryer. There was a desk with a chair next to the bed and a chair with a coffee table on the other side of the room to relax in. It’s perfect for short stays & was an exceptionally convenient location for me. I would most definitely recommend this lodging option again for the future.

My biggest surprise is that people live there. It’s pretty much a huge apartment complex. Loud Hispanic music playing all hours of the night and partying. Staying with children and can afford to stay elsewhere… do it! Oh and they charged me randomly $38.36 at 3am after already holding a $100 deposit. Had to have the front desk fix it the next morning. Had I not been watching my account I would have never known. Stay somewhere else.

Tammy front desk was great. Things for improvement: 1) Building A staircase was dirty. Clean the runners on the steps! 2) In shower, the body wash bottle was non-functioning in room 213. 3) Bedside lamp on right side was non-functional in same room. 4) TV needs to be upgraded to have internet streaming option. No one wants to watch only commercial on old mass media. People want to stream from their services such as Neflix, Paramount, Amazon Prime etc. 5) Toilet does not appear to be oblong but only round style. Upgrade to ADA oblong.

The room was Horrible. The carpet had several spots that were covered in some type of food spill and it was still on the floor, you could actually feel the stain. The lampshades were stained, sofa couch ripping apart, toilet seat paint chipping and dirty, bathtub dirty with a ring around it and leaky faucet. Kitchen counter and appliances were recently wiped as they were wet when I entered but it was obviously not clean. Remote missing a battery. Very uncomfortable and I will NEVER stay here again. I loved the brand before this as I have stayed at several other locations of the brand over the years as I travel often. This was a disgrace and if other hotels would've had availability I would have left here.

Close to the venue we had a show at Saturday night The gentleman who was to check us in was rude and had an attitude the whole time while checking us in almost like we interrupted his time behind the wall he was eating something and continued to chew it while checking us in. Then he got mad because his account was locked and he couldn’t get into the system so he called someone on speaker phone and had a attitude with her while she was giving him her password to get into the computer system. Apron wake up at 6am my whole room smelled like cigarette smoke due to people smoking outside on the property next to windows and no my window was closed. I don’t sleep with windows open.

70% or so of the other people there were Mexicans (license plates of vehicles) probably working big construct projects "just a few blocks" away. They do substantial vehicle maintenance in the parking lot, spilling fluids, etc and hold long sing-alongs, drinking and smoking. After I complained about very slow shower drain, they did fix it promptly, Premises are mostly dirty, especially elevators. This place has potential if managed differently.

Old! Smelly/dirty carpets in hallways, needs new paint and moldings. Check in guy unfriendly. Had to go get extra towels, toilet paper, etc. Had to PAY EXTRA for parking at this rundown hotel...the parking lot was filled with Mexican music and lots of guys drinking upon arrival. The refrigerator made lots of noise and the foldout mattress was thin, soiled and lumpy, you could feel the bars thru it! Bedding wasn't in room, had to go get that too! Won't return and wouldn't recommend!!

The only thing that I wasn’t impressed with was the air fresheners in the lobby and hallway- they were apparently set on “overpowering”. But you couldn’t smell them in the room so it wasn’t a big issue. We thought it was a great value and we would stay again!

The coffee maker was unusable because it was shedding plastic shreds from the reservoir and depositing in the pot. I tried to clean it and removed a lot, but continued to be a problem. The iron cord was broken and would not retract. Stairway was dirty and carpet worn. Odorous. They locked me out before checkout time. No coffee in the lobby as advertised. The building door did not lock and was not restricted access. Mattress was lumpy. Difficult to regulate temperature.

Everything was wonderful here. The rooms are a but outdated but the beds are very comfortable. Easy parking, kind staff. Great Value

We arrived after dark and could not find the main office, there are a couple buildings and the sign for the office is not illuminated. Our room was a queen bedroom with a full size sofa bed. The shower curtain rod was curved but instead of curving out, the wall mounts were loose and it curved down. The mattress for the sofa bed was well worn and felt like sleeping on a bag of sticks, lots of things poking at your back. Also, you need to go to the front desk and ask for bedding because they don't have any in the room for the sofa bed. My traveling companion said the queen bed was comfortable. The door from the hallway leading outside did not have a latch, so anyone could walk inside. The room was clean enough but the sofa had cigarette burns on the cushions and the room still has a faint, stale smoke odor. I suppose if you only used the bed in the bedroom, this room would be fine but if you're planning on using the sofa bed, I can't recommend this place. We also had a group of construction workers staying there who sat in the parking lot drinking beer and listening to music most nights.

Great staff very helpful especially the reception personnel. The room was comfortable and clean. We would definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
The room was cleanish...in the cabinet where the dishes were, had salt or something spilled inside. The floor in the bathroom looked clean...however my socks were black on the bottom. A little water spilled on the floor, and when I wiped it up, it was black on the paper towel. The carpets had a musty pet smell at times and there was a strong "cleaner" smell in the bathroom that lingered, so I know they cleaned. It wasn't terrible, seemed safe, especially since I forgot to lock my vehicles doors once. The front desk staff seemed pleasant and helpful. I stayed 3 nights and no came to clean, which they said they wouldn't. I image since its across the street from a hospital, they have families staying in the hotel for that reason. All in all, it wasnt too bad, especially for the price.

adjusted as needed. Pool nice, quiet stay. Lots of good shopping and eating locations. Close to freeway, sites to visit.

I arrived after a long flight and delayed flights to find our door propped open. It was the last available room and had prebooked. The beds looked clean, but the floor was flithy. I had to waer shoes the whole time. The couches look like they were from 1950's and just as dirty. It was a waste of money. So, glad we only had it booked one night.

Advertised in expedia a bench in handicapped shower. I wanted that as I just had foot surgery, clerk at hotel "oh we dont have that " I asked them why is it advertised? Told me to call hotel managers. Hotel dark & old.dogs barking on either side of room construction outside. Pool sits in parking lot. Must walk outside to use very unattractive. Tv lost cable at midnight. Response of front desk " I know nothing" gym had no bikes.but 1 threadmill that was so hugh, couldnt climb onto it. Very unhapp6.left 1 day early from my 5 nites there

When we checked in it was late, however our room was on the 3rd floor, we asked for a different room and we received a room on the 1st floor. A sleeper sofa reserved, no sleeper sofa, toilet seat broken, The secured dead bolt lock broken. We moved 2 rooms down where a sleeper sofa was, the sleeper sofa was so nasty, I was afraid to sit on it. It shouldn’t have even been in the room. I definitely wouldn’t have given the room to an out of town guest. I have stayed at a sonesta suite before. None of them was ever this bad. This place needs a lot of work based on the rooms we stayed in.
- 1/5
As soon as you open the door it smelled like fish! I left 1 day early, even the AC will turn off in Arizona when you need it on non stop… you have to put it on 68 to stay on… then it makes noise, the toilet paper roll had stains on top, I didn’t want drama so I didn’t complain because I wanted to just get it over with and leave eventually. Then what is this $100 deposit in person and $5 a day charge to use the parking? This is why I love California and would never live there. The pillows also suck, the tv and tv dresser was awkwardly positioned as well to the left and not in front of the bed, and again every time you leave and comeback the stinky smell of fish or tampons, no bar soap only locked into the wall shower gel I can tell these people are cheap and insecure, there was no sink tab either, the toilet you have to hold down 10 sec to flush thoroughly, the shower was ok but not strong enough, there’s no air freshener, this was expected possibly but waste of time and money
- 4/5
This hotel needs some renovation to scale it up a bit.

The place is very old and dated. Beds are ok. Mattress protector is less desirable. Husband is having surgery and we are not able to look elsewhere.
- 5/5
The pool is very small for the amount of rooms at this property and is not heated. You need to bring a sharp knife, as I bought a watermelon and had nothing with which to cut it. The office had none either. Ended up bringing the watermelon home, a 4 hour drive. Thank goodness we had a cooler with us, None of the 3 televisions had closed captioning. The office said they were going to update the tvs. When we arrived, the bathroom had a strong urine smell. I used matches, and the sulfur dissipated the odor. The pet policy is fantastic and our one young dog enjoyed going out often. Dog bags are provided. Overall, we had a very comfortable stay. When the televisions are updated, I would book another stay here.

Smell in room

But to find out, that was because there was a lot of vacancies Lots of holes in the walls Bathtub was dirty TV was broken when we got there. People were out in front of the location and drinking. Homeless at the gas station that shared the Driveway to location. Mattress had a huge depression in the middle Would not recommend.

Loved my stay, Yovany at the front desk was very nice, kind, courteous, and speedy with the service. The room was very clean and the property was very quiet. The location is also great and easy access to the freeway to get around.
- 5/5
Sonesta Simply Suites provides a high quality experience at an affordable price. The staff are friendly, my suite was clean and comfortable, the refrigerator and bathroom fan are quiet. Easy to find ,near Resturants, shopping. The door to the room is quite heavy so if you leave really early or come back late be considerate of others and don't let the door slam shut, its very loud and can wake or startle your surrounding quest.
- 5/5
It was just a really good stay no complaints and close to everything.
- 5/5
It was perfect! Will stay here again. We travel to this area often for my sons sports. He is on a traveling team & we come in from over 230 miles away. This place is awesome! I was leery booking it, & I am so glad I went for it
- 4/5
It was a good stay. My window was right above the pool and the pool was open until 11. It was noisy a couple nights. There was a paper listing all the TV stations but many of them said “no service”. Minor things that didn’t ruin my stay.

- 4/5
The bed was absolutely comfortable and the bedding was clean. The room was clean as well. Check in and Check out were smooth without any issues. The only real problem is that its a bit outdated and that can translate negatively to a lot of people. The shower fixture was leaking in our room, and had tape on it. It would have been beneficial to just replace the shower head and itll save water and their reputation. Overall I'd stay here again, but i hope it gets proper repairs moving forward.

Charged $5 each night for parking! Claims that booking through a 3rd party that info isn’t available??? Lame excuse. We are still booking w/ the hotel! Then they say they are pet friendly! Well again 3rd party doesn’t post! Then instead of a deposit they charged me $25 a night for a flipping pet!!!! How is that pet friendly! Makes customers not want to be honest!!!! This is a joke to charge all these fees when the cost is already ridiculously priced! Will not stay here again!!! No extras!!!’
- 2/5
Lots of issues with key not working ended up just needing staff to open room and not being able to leave the room. Toilet had urine stains on the lid. Pull out sofa mattress had lots of weird stains and no extra blankets to at least cover the stains. Didn’t get a remote for the TV signal kept cutting out either way. Overall the staff were super kind and helpful with our room door not working.
- 3/5
Property was dated
- 2/5
Positives include the location, and the bed and linens were fine. This is a pet friendly hotel. Unfortunately, our room smelled like pet urine. New batteries were need in the TV remote and one lamp did not work. Told management about the issues when we checked out. They would have given us a different room.
- 4/5
We've been staying in Sonesta Suites in Scottsdale for a couple of years now and now know the difference between a Sonesta Suites and a Sonesta Simply Suites. The "Simply" Suites are scaled down, no breakfast not as roomy, or upscale as the Sonesta Suites. The appliances all worked fine, the TV was a little small, the air conditioners worked good and the showers were adequate in our Simply Suite. However, the bed was very soft and I finally moved to the couch in the living room so could get a decent nights sleep. There were enough dishes, spoons, forks, knives, and cups for two and coffee packs for the coffee maker were replenished upon request as was sugar and creamer. There were lots of restaurants and a gas station with a minimart inside that came in handy as we checked in at about 1 in the morning. Our check in was smooth and everything was as expected from our booking information. Our location was very convenient and within a few miles of where had to be everyday which is why we picked this location. Lots of parking. The washer in our building was working but no dryer so we had to take our laundry over to an adjacent building and do laundry which was a little inconvenient for us.
- 4/5
Hotel is oriented toward longer stays than our one night. Condition a bit frayed but fine for our trip. Great to have kitchen. Bed comfy and sheets v clean. Good value for last minute booking during spring break timeframe
- 1/5
Stay far away from this place. I never thought Scottsdale would have a hotel run like this one. I truly thought that it must be where illegals aliens are housed! Loud Hispanic music blaring while people were grilling in the parking lot. This went on until late in the evening. As retired law enforcement I witnessed two drug deals go down in the parking lot when we came back from visiting family to the hotel on two separate nights. It rained very hard one day when we were there. We had a room on the bottom floor and water seeped in from the outside to the floor. Had to get management to come clear out the water from the carpet and run a drying fan. By the way I showed the manager where the fridge was damaged like someone poked it with an ice pic. One would never expect a hotel like this one to be in the Pearl of the Phoenix Valley, SCOTTSDALE ! Van Buren St in Phoenix YES! And charging $ 215 a night plus a 100.00 incidental fee and charge for parking. I wonder if they charge for grilling 😂 Stay far AWAY
- 2/5
Room had overall feel of being well used! No utensils in the kitchen drawer and front desk had none as well. Would only repeat stay if nothing else is available.
- 4/5
Nice.
- 3/5
- 5/5
No
- 3/5
was nice but mine was not. It had a rollaway bed instead of two beds. The room must be a smoking room because it smelled terrible. There was only decaff coffee and sugar in the rooms. I saw a bug in the kitchenette. Yuck! We used the pool and it was filthy
- 1/5
We expected a mid price hotel. It was way below that. A dirty carpet, non working tv remote, lightbulb out next to bedside lamp., broken window that did not shut completely and we did not feel safe in the parking area at night. We were so disappointed for the high cost.
- 4/5
Clean but not deep clean.
- 5/5
I appreciate the pet-friendly opportunity at these Sonesta properties!
- 5/5
Good clean and comfortable. Close to all
- 2/5
The property looks decent on the outside. The rooms need to be upgraded. The shower head was from the 1980’s and has tape on it holding it together. There was a very moldy smell in the room plus the damage in the room was obvious. If I could share pictures you would be shocked.
- 3/5
We booked a stay at Sonesta suites for a week. Unfortunately, when we arrived they did not have the room that we booked, and had downgraded us to a different room. It was disappointing that this was done without notifying us ahead of time. However, the manager saved the day by letting us cancel the reservation and we booked elsewhere. So the pros: manager was GREAT, bed was comfy, outside of the property looked great and location was good. Cons: halls were dirty, carpet and sofa looked old and worn, communication should have been better.
- 1/5
There was a toothpick stuck in the floor, a moldy pepper in the fridge, the carpet hadn't been vacuumed, one of the bath towels had a suspicious brown streak, the shower was dirty, the showered nozzle bezel was not secured, the living area furniture had graffiti carved into it, the couch was old, torn & saggy and in desperate need of replacing, the arm chair was dirty (so gross we wouldn't even sit in it), the TVs in all the rooms didn't get signal in most channels and frequently dropped signal if there was one, there were no batteries in one of the remotes, the other remote was sticky, the bedroom furniture had spill marks, the mattresses were lumpy, the thermostat needed batteries, the windows would barely open. I could go on, but it's likely that you get the picture. I did bring some of this up to the front desk attendant and he said he could send maintenance with batteries and he could offer more towels. The hotel is in a convenient location for my needs, but I won't be back. I did ask for contact info for the GM, but the Asst. GM couldn't find one. I will be calling to speak with the GM. This hotel was gross!
- 2/5
This property needs an upgrade asap if you really need a last resort stay this is for you. Dated rooms, beds not comfortable and no bedding on pullout couch. Remote didn’t work reported everything the next day and the response I got was “well you should’ve called and we could’ve taken care of it.. I guess I’m sorry” ! Wrong staff needs to make sure a room is good to go.
- 2/5
Poor value for the price. On a par with old substandard hotels. Carpets dirty in the room and throughout the facility. My room had 2 beds, one a queen and the other maybe a double placed in the corner where typically a sofa or chair would be. No sitting furniture except a desk chair. The primary Queen bed was shaped like a bowl with at least 50% loss of height from edge to center of the mattress. It was not usable, so I resorted to the smaller secondary bed. I don't know if the box spring under the mattress was broken or if it was simply a well worn out mattress. I suspect the box spring was broken and never replaced. Certainly it was too obvious to ignore if housekeeping was making up the bed.
- 2/5
Upon entering the building, there was a very heavy chemical smell throughout the hallways. When entering the room there was a smoky smell which was attempted to be masked. We did not bring our luggage into the building. My wife has a respiratory problem and we had secure lodging elsewhere.
- 1/5
Nothing to add, pretty old and run down!
- 5/5
Stayed here twice will be a place I check whenever going to Phoenix.
- 3/5
Friendly service. Room is outdated. Bed is uncomfortable. Walls are PAPER THIN! Can hear conversations and cans being opened. Large gap under main door to room. “Suite” door was also easy to gear thru. Everything is very outdated and has an odor to go with it. No ice machine? or ice cube trays?
- 1/5
The rooms are extremely dated and need to be renovated. The toilet seat in the bathroom Was painted and the paint was peeling. The floors in the bathroom and the kitchen were very dirty and sticky. The walls were very thin and you could hear everything going on in the room next to us. This room was pretty expensive and definitely not worth the money
- 2/5
This place was more like a rundown apartment complex that housed people on a weekly or monthly basis, many of which hung out in the front of the buildings chain smoking and yelling on their cell phones. Good luck finding the office and your room, neither are marked, and parking is a challenge (because I can’t use more descriptive words to really describe the situation). We had to park a building away and wait for a closer space because we were concerned leaving our car next to where we ended up parking which was close to a couple of cars with families bbq’ing out of the back of their pickups. Worthy to note that when we first arrived at the complex there were two police cars driving through the complex. On to the room, soooo not non-smoking as advertised. It smelled disgusting, toilet seat was cracked in two, tv didn’t work and light fixtures were missing. Oh, and you have to pay a fee to park, not disclosed on Expedia, and place the tag on your car so it won’t get towed. Excellent. Do not think this is a safe first class “hotel” because it is located in Scottsdale. Obviously we don’t recommend.
- 2/5
It seems that someone cooked in the room and it smell really bad, the bed not good. This is an hotel of 6 or 6.5, never 8.
- 2/5
Dirty. Torn dirty sofa. Disappointing given the location
- 3/5
I thought the area of the motel/hotel was very convenient...it needs a major redo. People working there were fine.
- 3/5
I would not stay at this hotel ever again. The carpet in the stairs and hallway was filthy, which was gross, but the carpet in the room was so filthy that my feet were so dirty they were black, so I ended up wearing shoes inside to avoid that. The hallway constantly smelled like weed and/or cigarette smoke, which would seep into my room. I did contact the office, and they tried once to find the room that was the culprit and they were unsuccessful. Overall the staff was nice, and the location is good, but the hotel was gross, dirty, and run down. Spend more and stay somewhere else. Or ignore this review and take a chance.
- 1/5
Dirty and smelled like cat pee. Allergies did not like it.
- 3/5
The suites was worn. The curtains had stains on them, the toilet seat was worn showing the lid indentations on the seat. The cleaning product used on the flooring left a sticky residue. The couch needed a cleaning, so I didn't use it.

Front desk service was pretty weak. Women managing desk at 9pm on Wednesday before Thanksgiving kept saying she wanted to cover her ass whenever we asked questions. Toilet in one of our rooms was clogged and took until later the next day to get fixed. We just thought that the place was very mediocre.

We liked the idea of a room with a kitchen however it does present issue with smells in the building. The biggest issue with the lack of good cleaning practices. We had the room cleaned half way through our stay. The room was not cleaned very well. What was very good were the bed mattresses. The area was filled with great things to do. For sure we would stay in that area again. Please add that they ( Sonesta) charge for parking $5.00 per day.

Getting they the room at front was easy, but we were put in a building that smelled like something sour, walls were thin could hear other ppl tv on. And bed wasnt comfortable. N no sheet on fold out. No maid sevice unless u stay more than 6 day. Only fresh towels daily.

Very old. Needs renovation badly. During check-in, change rooms three times. Reserve for 2 nights, but only stay one night for about 7 hours. Only use bed and toilet whenever is necessary.

The location is great, as was price and room features. Staff was courteous..my only complaint was cleanliness. Room was overall ok, but bathroom had used soap still on shower shelf, floor was sticky, someones frozen Dr. Pepper in freezer, toilet seat not wiped..I would be willing to give another shot but will definitely speak up if not clean.

Rooms are not maintained. All the furniture looked old and in poor shape. Sofa was in terrible shape. I wouldn’t even put a bag on top of it, let alone sit on it. Positives were that bed linen, towels, and shower were clean and good to use. Staff were extremely friendly.

The lighting was extremely bright to the point of being Annoying. The coffee maker did not work properly, but we were able to fix it with a little cleaning of the ports. Also, the heating and air conditioning was maintained Poorly. Every person we dealt with on staff was extremely pleasant and helpful.

The shower wasn’t cleaned and full of previous guests’ hair. The tv kept going in and out of signal. The hallways were dirty and needed a good vacuum. I opened the first room they gave me only to find that it was already occupied.
