Scottsdale Marriott Old Town

We really enjoyed this hotel! The rooms are huge, the bar/restaurant is good. You get two free coffees per person down at the bar in the morning. The pool was nice too, and poolside snacks and drinks could be delivered right to your chair.

Awesome location, few minutes to the old town have many restaurants and shop. As well as the Fashion Mall. Hotel has free laundry faculties and all the staff are friendly and helpful. The only complaint I have is the free hot buffet breakfast is not good and only few selections. Overall, i would stay here again because pricing is reasonable and location is good.

The hotel location is fabulous, but it’s definitely a dated building. The staff was excellent, but I would say that they need to update their bathrooms.

The bar is extremely expensive, they charge $7.00 for a water, the hotel is extremely expensive. I would consider staying at the Hyatt, it's right across the street.

The hotel is slightly dated but clean. I selected the best option for room as did our friends. We paid significantly more as the room the room met our preferences. What we received was a standard 2nd floor room with a view of a brick wall and roof of lobby. We were located next to the ice machine and outside the elevator lobby. Our friends received the type of room we expected based on our selection and paid significantly less. The hotel was not sold out making us question why we were assigned this room. Disappointing experience and wasted money.

We like everything. Great location, generally great people, and a reasonable price for such a great room. There really isn't much to not like? Aside from early AM deliveries being very noisy outside our room and the AM front desk lady being not awake or grumpy-ish... lol. It was an absolutely great stay, honestly.

Everything was excellent

We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful front desk team who presented us with free bottles of chilled water as soon as we entered (which given it was over 100 outside was greatly enjoyed). That level of service continued from all the staff we engaged with throughout our stay - in the bar and at the front desk. The room was huge, the bed comfortable and the pool deck clean and refreshing. Everything you want from Old Scottsdale is just a few minutes walk; away. After dealing with Phoenix traffic and roads this was an absolute oasis

Overall a solid 4 star facility. Clean and comfortable if not spectular. The windy driveway into the parking structure is a bit narrow, so you have to be very careful driving in and out. Good location and friendly service.

This hotel is rundown and dated. The rooms are overpriced. The “balcony” is as nonfunctional. You could not sit out on it and it had no furniture. The pullout couch was terrible.

It was my birthday the room was amazing the front desk lady Connie was amazing. She gave me the royal treatment. She had a bottle of champagne and chocolate cover strawberry sent up to my room. Really made my birthday so special.

One warning is that if you use the underground parking, the exit is curved and quite tight, and navigating a larger vehicle such as an SUV was more difficult than it should be.

The location to old town was great. Perfect to walk. The guy at the bar was also great. This property is not well maintained. It looks like a prison. The paint was peeling off the ceiling in the bathroom and there was mold. It looks like they just aren’t investing in maintenance of the building…

Unfortunately, I had to call for cleaning for an armless chair that had a horrible stain right in the middle. They tried to steam clean it but it was super stubborn. I had to ask for it to be replaced/ remove. After that, I didn’t experience any other issues. Parking is extra unless you find street parking.

The sofa bed was so uncomfortable and hard that not even the kids could sleep on it. I mean, a homeless could have slept more comfortable in the street than in that awful sofa bed! The kids ended up sleeping in the bed with us so we were 4 people trying to fit like a Tetris board in one bed. I mean nobody slept, it was a night from hell. We were just there for one night as we’re coming from flagstaff and the next day we had to take a flight from phoenix. If we were to stay more than 3 1 night we would have left the hotel immediately.

The menu offered a nice variety of options. We enjoyed breakfast every morning, did not do the buffet. The staff were great;, pleasant, efficient and welcoming. We’re used to firmer pillows, so next time we’ll ask for firmer pillows. Everything else was great.

Pool was under const. They gave access a block at a courtyard. Small and no shade. If I wanted there pool, I would have stayed there. Young host was rude. Sunday loud construction could stay in the room.

The staff at the front desk was wonderful, she upgraded our room to a view and gave us some free stuff, she was fabulous. The room did not have enough pillows for the three of us and there were only two towels for the three of us, which we did not discover until you got out of the shower and too late to ask front desk for more towels. The beds and pillows were also very uncomfortable.

The lobby is very nice with friendly staff at the Starbucks and restaurant. The room, however was very dated with worn carpet and old, filthy shower tile. The tile was so bad I thought there were large chunks of dirt on the floor. Turns out, it was just stains on the old tile.

We came to Scottsdale for SF Giants Spring Training. Awesome service, friendly staff. The location is within walking distance to all the restaurants, bars, and Scottsdale Stadium.

The scanner was not working well. several times it took us over a minute to get the gate to lift. The shower was not adequately filled with soap, had to shower with shampoo. We still had paid full price, yet if we came in without a prepaid stay it was "Substantly" cheaper to stay there.

Our stay was not what we expected of a Marriott. The hotel is clean and staff are very hospitable, however the property needs major renovations as it is extremely dated! Only one working elevator and the stairway not easily accessible. It is simply outdated and feels decades behind!

Noise level. Can hear all street noise. Woke to jack hammer at 5 am from garage construction project. Hotel guests should be made aware of this project prior to booking. I would not stay there again. When I discussed the situation with hotel staff I got free parking.

The hotel itself was very satisfying, but during our stay there was continuous loud drilling that could be heard throughout the hotel. It was especially loud in our room from approximately 10am to 5pm. Other than the construction noise the room great. But, again the stay was very unsatisfying. Whenever the hotel finishes there construction it'll be a great place to stay.

There was construction going on in the hotel that we were not made aware of, had we known this was going on we would not have booked some doctors in this hotel that we wanted to impress. I am highly disappointed that this was not informed to us before hand.

This hotel should be given exceptional ratings. The staff and cleanliness stand out above other hotels during COVID. The food is exceptional and though with choices that are scaled back, everything we ate was very high quality. We were on the 6 th floor and the only complaint was cars cruising on a Friday night . It did not happen on Sat or Sunday night though.

This hotel is in a great location and the room was spacious. The downside in comparison to other hotels in the area is that the rooms are in need of an update. The shower was tiny and the water didn't get hot. The bed was very springy and sagged a bit in the middle. I was only there for one night for a business trip so it was fine for what it was.
